It's so glaringly obvious they're just using console players as an excuse to get Huntress buffed on PC, any attempt to play this off is laughable.
Still ignoring the fact you haven’t played against her. That really tells me what I need to know. You haven’t experienced it. Also you’ll note coco said the buffs are needed but just to be toned down a bit.

Pretty sure I play her.
I'm sure TikTok cries about how Nurse is too weak.
Try Huntress on a controller, see how it feels.
No lol I’m not saying you can’t play her; you haven’t played against the buffs on the PTB. So you have no clue how strong she is right now.

Once again, stats are not supposed to be used for balance changes for a plethora of reasons, they don't tell the whole story.
Huntress is far from being in a bad spot and is currently one of if not the most balanced killer in the game.
I also am failing to understand why your citing console players as the reason Huntress needs a buff when you don't play on console. Talk about conjecture. You have two console players straight up telling you she's not that bad on console. Any killer that is projectile based is automatically going to be harder on console than PC, but once again, there is no way to buff or balance around that, it's simply an inherent advantage of being able to aim with your arm instead of your thumbs.
Two console players who are telling me she’s good who don’t actually play her. Meanwhile the Huntress mains I follow on TikTok rant about her on console 24/7. Don’t ignore the fact you haven’t played against her current version at all and have no idea if she needs to be reverted or not. You’re just completely guessing that she is too strong. You ignore the fact she is still very loopable and that I have actually played against her while you haven’t.

Lower than the average is extremely relevant.
You aren't suggesting new player buffs, you are suggesting massive buffs straight across the board.
Should we give Nurse across the board buffs? Just to help those new Nurse players, we should give her basekit 7 Blinks and Omega Blink back. Just to help those new players.
That's what you're suggesting is an appropriate response.
The average is supposed to be 60% so yes the current average isn’t relevant. And The Huntress isn’t anywhere near as strong as nurse. So buffing her would be as bad. Don’t ignore the fact that you have no idea how she is currently and are asking for changes when you have no clue how she is right now and are only seeing a heavily skewed clip on Twitter where she is using shiny pin, they start side by side, the survivor runs the loop super sloppy while Huntress runs it right. She is still loop able like I said don’t forget that.

I'm sorry but in the nicest way possible, this is an awful idea.
Yes, console killers are at a disadvantage when compared to PC killers, but this is true in almost every single game. It's just an inherent advantage to be able to aim with your entire arm instead of simply your thumb, there's no way of getting around that. Buffs, nerfs, doesn't matter, you can't ever get over that advantage no matter what. There's little to no difference between PC and Console survivors so this argument is entirely moot. You're not in competition against PC killers, you play against survivors who have very little to no advantage when thinking about the platform they play on.
You buff a killer purely because you want console players to be better with her and in return you just buffed the ######### out of every PC killer. The games crossplay, this is a terrible idea.
Now, if you were to argue that console needs better sensitivity and camera options, I'm 100% with you there. Literally only having a controller sensitivity option is one of the most dated things I've seen in a modern video game, but to argue that certain killers should be buffed because they're harder to play on console is honestly a laughable idea.
I agree console needs better aiming but she also needs to be faster. 77% on a 110 killer is outdated. Low kill rates at high MMR too confirm this by dbds own stats. Plus this is all conjecture on your part. You haven’t played against the new version of her since you’re a console player and I have. I still looped her, I’m 10% faster than her. She only gets hits a free seconds faster. It’s not like she can run loops while holding hatchets.

"2% lower then the average"
Oh, and the September one? That's from last year.
6% lower than the goal. Lower than average is irrelevant. And it sure is from last year but changes nothing! Low kill rates in high MMR clear as day! Also you haven’t played against new Hintress and I have. I still looped her considering I’m 10% faster. She couldn’t land any crazy hits she could just land them a few seconds faster.

Her Kill Rate is 2% lower than the average.
That is almost entirely explained away by the fact that she is free and a starter Killer. New players who don't know how the game works yet are going to pick her up. She also has a little bit of Nurse syndrome, where you can't fall back onto M1 playstyle to win.
In your eyes, what is the justification for addressing her miniscule concerns before the following Killers:
Trapper
Myers
Doctor
Bubba
Freddy
Pig
Clown
Legion
Ghostface
Pyramid Head
Twins
Nemesis
Dredge
Knight
Skull Merchant
Xenomorph
Chucky
All of these Killers need some form of attention, whether that be large (Freddy) or relatively minor (Xeno). Why should Huntress, a popular and strong character, be given attention over them?
Go look at the kill rate list again. She’s at 54% which is 6% lower. I accidentally said 7. That’s significant. The list that came out in September showed her top MMR kill rate at 56% so “new players” doesn’t full explain it either.

I'm not saying she's the easiest killer lol, I'm saying that she's not nearly as hard to aim with on console as other killers as you've been saying, this quite literally goes against your argument. Huntress is widely considered a top 5-10 killer. There's 30+ killers in the game and 20 that require attention before Huntress does.
She's a killer that requires a different playstyle than the rest of the cast and has a higher skill ceiling than 90% of the cast, of course her kill rates aren't as high as easier, lower skill ceiling killers.
I’m not comparing her aim to other ranged killers, I’m comparing console vs pc. A console Huntress is at a severe disadvantage compared to PC. They can mitigate it by buffing her. Simple.

I am a Console player, I am telling you Huntress is one of the least affected Killers. If you had said Blight, or Deathslinger or something like that, I'd have said alright yeah, that makes sense.
Huntress isn't bad on Console.
These changes aren't going to help new players? You want to help new players? Make a real tutorial for every Killer. I could literally give out a plan for almost every Killer within 2 days.
Why is her kill rate 7% lower than where it should be then?

I play both roles pretty equally. Always love the fact I can take both sides onto perspective. You saying Trickster is stronger in 1v1s says everything I need to know that this discussion will get no where and that the bias is incomprehensible. Ask anyone about who is better between the two and you'll find out pretty quickly the reality. You are severely understating the power Huntress has and inferring other killers are better or even on par with her to make your point seem credible. It's all nonsense and you're reaching for straws that are disintegrating in your hands. Luckily you can't label me as a survivor main now so I'm interested to see what alternative I'll get.
Reread my comment about who I said is stronger because I said Huntress is better lol

@Nebula said:
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3657374#Comment_3657374
As a console player Huntress is the easiest projectile character to play by a very good margin. Her hitboxes are huge and very forgiving. Deathslingers spear is a minuscule hitbox and can be very hard to hit, and Trickster is definitely harder to aim with than Huntress.
The whole argument of using kill rates to justify buffs/nerfs to killers is both not practical and quite literally discouraged by the devs. Nurse has the lowest kill rate in the game due to her entry barrier and diverse playstyle, should we buff her because her kill rates are low and her skill ceiling is high?
Buffing these strong killers with high skill ceilings will only result in the skill ceiling being minimized, leading to less skill expression for both the killer and survivors playing against them. Not a good way to balance for either side and hence why these Huntress buffs are bad for the state of the game.
If she’s the easiest killer and she is one of the least deadly then she needs buffs obviously. Saying she’s easy only proves my point tbh.

Don't appreciate the shot at Console players like we're somehow worse.
She's difficult to get into. She doesn't really play like a normal Killer and trying to play her like an M1 won't go well since she is 110%. She's also free, exceedingly popular and a magnet for new players.
None of these things mean she needs massive changes. I could see giving her an extra Hatchet, maybe. Keep the upper limit the same, so we nerf those addons, but six Hatchets in base is fine, imo. There's a very good reason pretty much everyone considers her an A-tier Killer, it's because she is strong.
She's an entire TWO PERCENT below the overall average for Killers. She's doing just fine, especially considering what I've pointed out above. This heavy-handed buff is not it.
And this notion that Survivors are somehow a hivemind that is trying to ruin a perfectly fine Killer is just silly, I mean, come on. I've seen this sentiment so many times over the years.
I’m not taking a shot at console players I’m telling you what they tell me. And they say she is miserable on console. They are specifically making these changes for new/casual players as they said. A lot of Huntresses resort to camping for kills which is why her rate is where it’s even at now. 77% is outdated, 85% is the slowest she should be. And I don’t see the big deal in giving her that. There are still 5+ killers who are better. She’s the only FREE, RANGED killer and noobs gravitate toward her. We don’t balance this game based on the players like CoCo or Max. We balance it around the casuals which is why solo q survivors need more buffs. Also I thought you were MikeWelk cuz that dude has commented on everything I ever comment on.

Your points consist of conjecture that is not at all accurate. There is a reason why she has a super low kill rate. And you can’t deny it. 4th lowest kill rate in the game. So either it’s she is bad, new people struggle with her or it’s console players. Please don’t dodge these stats and wave them all away like you just did a second ago.

These changes don't help console players. Huntress is one of the Killer least affected by a controller, due to her massive hatchet hitbox.
New players? This change doesn't help them either. It just makes the best even better.
Also, the new Huntress literally doesn't get punished for just holding her Hatchet forever. All this change has done is removed skill from Huntress. It's horrific.
Can't see how I'm being hostile. Just skipping the part where you accuse me of being a Survivor main like you did to @mikewelk

He's not.
Any loop that Trickster can get hits in, Huntress can as well. Difference is that Huntress only needs to land one Hatchet, Trickster needs eight.
With this buff, Huntress is a straight upgrade over Trickster or Slinger in every way. She is exceedingly busted, nobody asked for these changes and they should be reverted.
Since it matters to you so much,
-A Killer Main
The difference is Huntress is so slow it takes her 3x longer to get a hit at a loop. And if she reacts up too early ONCE then they get a few more loops. Trickster does not suffer in that same regard. And actually all console player asked for these changes AND all new players too. Also why are you being so hostile?

Yeah there's a thing called loops which obscure his vision and prevent him from getting hits in. You can even lose all the progress you gained with the knives if the survivor knows what they're doing. He is a very weak killer, hence why the pickrates reflect that. Are you inferring that Trickster is better than Huntress?
That’s funny loops exist against the Huntress too! The laceration decay is also irrelevant considering itit takes 15 seconds to decay and only ever cubes in when pulling off to reload. Which with 8 knife hit main events he does way less now. (I also main Trickster) and in the 1v1 he is far stronger but when it comes to the whole picture Huntress is stronger. I really feel like you don’t play killer at all. Do you? Are you a survivor main?

Because it's not about who is the faster killer. It's about how effective being faster is in terms of ability which Trickster struggles with.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3656035#Comment_3656035
^^ That basically explains it lmao.
The 8 knives comment is irrelevant considering he has 44 and can hit you with 8 in less than 3 seconds, and can down you before you can use your on hit speed boost to get to another loop, let alone use all 3 seconds of the boost. PLUS hes 115 on top of that AND he can move even faster with heart cage shoes.

To be very clear, PTB data is pretty much a non-factor. PTB data is incredibly unreliable since ranked matchmaking is disabled and everyone is still getting a feel for the changes/new content. We do not use PTB data to make decisions, we prefer to use feedback.
It's also incredibly difficult to pinpoint why someone let themselves die on the PTB. It's equally likely that they just wanted to face the new Killer and wanted to move on to the next match.
I agree except for the matches where they stayed for 45-50 minutes without doing gens and then died to the entity.

Killers should def have 5 perks since survivors gets 16 technically, especially if they are a SWF or are given the ability to see perks in lobbies and can coordinate.

It's not to skew the data, they just realized how busted Huntress is and there's no denying it. I would do the exact same because I didn't play the PTB to experience huge buffs to an already balanced killer that came from the devs having a brain fart or something along those lines.

Having so many other killers in dire need of a buff, you go and make a killer that's fair for everyone stronger?? Why?? This from a 4k hour bunny main. I play her in comp. I know her power's ins and outs, but I'm scratching my head right now. And not only that but you also miss the opportunity to fix glaring map design issues that affect Huntress and other killers?? Here's what the changes SHOULD have looked like, if you had just checked with people who actually play the game:
"The Huntress
Out of hatchets with no locker in sight? Or maybe The Entity sent you to a map with poor line of sight, making it difficult to line up a shot? To help her stay topped up, we have made the following changes:
- Increased the frequency of lockers in certain maps where locker dead zones may appear.
- Removed excessive clutter in certain maps to allow better line of sight.
[IF YOU ABSOLUTELY MUST CHANGE SOMETHING] The Manna Braid, Flower Babushka AND SHINY PIN Add-Ons – which increase the Hatchet wind up speed and movement while holding a hatchet– have had their effects very slightly buffed to give her opportunities to attack in busier areas.
These changes will also in turn help The Trickster and The Dredge, whose powers also depend on having lockers available in all areas of the map."
There BHVR, that's literally all you had to do. Instead in true Behaviour fashion you went "number low, so buff." Literally who asked for these changes?? Not to mention being aware of how many hatchets you have left or when to reload is also a part of the killer's skill ceiling!
Leave the Huntress alone, she is fine. So what do you need to do instead? Let’s see…you did notice not having lockers around is a hindrance, you did notice excessive LOS blockers is an issue for some killers in particular maps…c’mon devs...you are this close to getting it. Don't you see? The problem is not certain killers, it's the m... m... say it with me...the MAP DESIGN :D
Why is this so difficult to understand??
It's not even funny anymore.
Hello Flawless it’s me again have in your 4,000 hours of DBD have you ever played against great teams on indoor maps? Are you 100% fine with indoor maps gutting the best parts of your power? You never ever have problems landing shots because ceilings, rooms, walls and hella windows on indoor maps? Genuinely curious because I don’t see anyone can say she is good on indoor maps. And considering this new map is going to be another indoor one I think the movement speed increase needs to stay. 77% is outdated and way to slow. You can leave the hatchets at 5 tbh.

Oh no! Anyways, wanna know all the maps that Myers and Freddy are bad on? Try all of them.
Huntress is fine. She doesn't need any help. Her pick rate is high, her design is excellent and she has meaningful counterplay.
Killers do NOT need to be good on every map.
Killers should absolutely be good on every map. That’s why people gravitate towards Nurse / Blight. Even though Blight may struggle slightly on indoor maps he can easily run loops as an m1 killer since he is 115. And being up Freddy and Meyers is literally irrelevant since they are getting complete reworks soon and these current tweaks are just number changes.

How does that possibly justify such a large buff and attention over other Killers?
SEVEN indoor maps, not to mention Badham 1-5, Half the MacMillian maps, GoJ and Eyrie of crows ALL of which Huntress mains like Max and Coco agree are terrible for her power.

It happens every outdoor match for me. And if I don’t land a few then gens start flying. If she is 110 because she can hit over loops then make her 115 because 7 indoor maps remove that ability and small high wall loops you are forced to m1

I think it's quite indeed the opposite. Very experienced Huntress players can win on any map. Yes, ofc it's harder on indoor maps but If you know what you're doing you can still overcome the map dependency. If you think indoor maps are the problem with the Huntress I'm sorry to break it to you but you're not as good as you think you are.
"Either you remove those maps or you buff her."
-Or the map balance team get their ish together and remove the clutter and add more lockers in order to have your power when needed.
"There is NO reason why a killer should be put at such a severe disadvantage because of the map they get."
-Exactly so fix maps instead of applying bandaid buffs so all killers AND surv perks can benefit from it.
"And there are an INSANE amount of small high wall loops that you CANT land a hatchet at. No matter how many hours you have."
-Experienced Huntress players are aware of this and adjust accordingly. You are not meant to be able to land a hatched on every rock pallet or filler.
Go ahead and explain how you would make her able to land cross map shots on indoor maps? Oh and let me know how she can land orbitals on indoor maps too! I’m very curious to know how you would do that.
-

I don't know what this overreacting and "she doesn't need buff" claims. She definately needs movement speed and wind-up buffs, maybe not more hatchets. I don't know how it possible to think she is in the good state, when Nemi, Alien and Chucky exists, who put way less effort to land a hit.
Survivors I feel really don’t want any killer to get better at all. They complained about her reload speed being 1 second faster and acted like it was the end of the world for some reason.
-
They already nerfed Thrill of The Hunt and removed its loud noise notification. Might as well let the two trap killers still be able to trap it.

I'm going to make an assumption that you made an attempt kick the generator which failed after you saw those glowing spikes jut up around it, in which case it's a bug.
If you saw the spikes and assumed it was blocked, that's not the case. The VfX start showing after the 3rd regression event, which I think is too early as it has caught some people out. Yes, it's mentioned in the notes, but I feel it is too early for that to be showing. I'd say it should show on the 6th regression event, so it acts as a "3 strikes and you're out" warning.
No, you’re right. I only watched the video about it which didn’t mention that at all! I kicked it 4 times and never tried kicking it again as I assumed it was blocked. My bad.

This is pretty simple, everyone hates to be slugged and its just really annoying being slugged when the killer forces it so here is an easy fix.
If every player that is alive is downed at the same time and the killer does not pick anyone up and forces the slug, after 30 seconds every survivor gets an adrenaline effect. That will either make the killers stop slugging or lose the game.
And if we want to take it a step further, the killer slugging to get the last kill is also so stupid, it really sucks that they can deny the endgame by just making some survivor stay on the ground for 4 minutes. So when only 2 survivors is left, if one is slugged and the other one goes down, as the hook happens the person that is left slugged gets an adrenaline effect yet again, and if the killer wants to slug both to be pity, well the above measure would trigger, that way the end game around hatch has to be played in most games and the killer can't simply slug to be toxic.
There is literally nothing wrong with slugging the second to last survivor for the 4k. Its the killers job to kill and more kills equals more bloodpoints and rank which also equals more bp. Just try to crawl where you think hatch will be, ive gotten hatch a few times that way.

If I had to guess, BHVR doesn't want to add a little Haste trail behind Killers/Survivors because it might ruin the Horror aesthetics of the game (even though the Refined Serum exists, but that's a event addon).
Skull Merchant's Haste grows and decreases in power in ways that are hard to gauge, which is why I think adding a Visual Effect might be good for her kit.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3636191#Comment_3636191
The problem is that her Haste isn't the main reason people hate her power. She's hated because she drops a drone while you are looping and you start ramping up "Lock On" stacks.
If BHVR wants to nerf her, I think a better nerf would be to increase the time Survivors are inmune to her Scan Lasers so you can waste more of her time if she wants to injure you with a Claw Trap. Right now, Survivors are inmune to Scan Lasers for 3 seconds after gaining a "Lock On" stack. I think they could easily double that to 6 seconds IF that's a playstyle that BHVR doesn't want Skull Merchant to overuse.
The horror aesthetic has long since been obliterated tbh. Pajama survivors are way more of a break in the horror theme than a small haste trail.

I run literally ZERO gen slowdown and as a result gens FLY. The amount of times I down a survivor after the last gen pops and that 1k ends up being a 4k because survivors don't know when to quit is staggering. You aren't entitled to an escape and mi not entitled to a kill but you can bet mi going to try and get at least one kill.

Killers dont get any kind of indication that a survivor has haste so I would say no. MFT would have never got nerfed if they just put a little haste trail behind it.

Honestly, they should make gen block perks not stack. One gen block effect at a time, then when it runs out, the gen is unblocked until another effect blocks it. This should be a rule especially if BHVR wants to have killers use gen blocking more instead of constant regression.
They don’t stack; it runs concurrently. So a survivor who gets kicked off a Gen by grim embrace will have there Gen blocked for 30 seconds by DMS not 42

It’s because she is one of the most played killers plus being one of the killers with the lowest kill rates in the game. If you miss even a handful of hatchets your match is pretty much over. Also being 110 makes it hard to keep up and apply Gen kick perks PLUS being 77% when holding a hatchet makes it worse. I may be biased but quite honestly I don’t think any killer without a movement speed ability should be 110. If anyone should be 110 it should be blight.

100 hours isn’t nearly enough to know that. And unless you put 100 hours on one killer only you definitely aren’t at the 1900 MMR cap as each killer also has their own MMR . Give it 500-1000 hours before being able to say for certain. At the absolute highest MMR survivor is stronger. All you need is one good looper and have the other 3 sit on gens. SWF is abysmally strong even when I play with my friends who have less than 80 hours we almost always win because discord and call outs. Low MMR is def killer sided tho for sure.

Huntress by far. She would be the most interesting. A survial/ Slasher game where you survive in the forest/ Hunt and Trap animals and Humans collecting shiny things and gear for upgrades. Wiping out soldier encampments and Villages, expanding your territory. I think honestly she could easily have her own movie and franchise. Would without a doubt be one of the most iconic slashers of all time and easily the greatest female slasher ever.

Hex: You Should’ve Left; once the exit gates are powered a two totems light up. Exit gates can no longer be 99’d and regress when let go of. When an exit gate is open any survivor who crouches 3 times at a gate or waits by an open gate for 15 seconds receives the following effects. All gates are block for 60 seconds, they suffer from exposed for 60 seconds, there aura is revealed for 60 seconds and they can be Mori’d regardless of hook stage.
My Domain: When within 2 meters of Shack, Main building or basement receive a 5% haste bonus that lingers for 5 seconds after leaving.
Think Twice: Anytime you were about to be stunned by a pallet think twice activates. Put out your hand preventing the pallet from coming down and swinging through the pallet hitting the survivor. The perk goes on cooldown for 80 seconds.

Its more a map problem than a huntress problem since quite a few killers get wrecked by indoor maps like Lery's (wesker for example).
Huntress I think is just fine as a killer, decently strong but now where near too strong and fun. If you made her 115 or gave her more bloodlust, then bad huntresses would be rewarded more which is not a super healthy design.
Does Wesker really do bad on Lerrys tho? I never struggle on that map with him. He's 115 after all and holding his bound doesn't slow him down that much so he can land hits at windows easy. And then use the long hallways for traversal. Not to mention having a large TR makes it easy to sneak up on people and pressure multiple people.

That’s not an issue with Huntress, that’s an issue with indoor maps in general. A lot of killers get negatively impeded by them.
Buffing her to a point where she’d be good on Lery’s would make her overpowered on other maps. If anything it’s the maps that should be changed.
The only possible way to fix them is remove them at least for indoor maps; unless you make them all the same and they have no rooms. The fact that they have ceilings affects the Huntress whereas ceilings don't matter for any other killer. I think the only thing they can do is make the killers better or make it to where you literally can get those maps when picking those killers.
