TBH I'd take a slugging nurse over what we have. At least then there would be something we can do and builds that could realistically help with it. But what the event is? It's just pain, and it's not even the interesting kind of pain it's just boring. Like, at this point I'm checking out the new Killer Klowns game, it's janky and has issues but at least it's the fun kind of jank.
I hope you will have a good time with the killer klowns.
I think I may take a break from the game as well and just skip the event all together. The game feels like its getting more and more balanced towards the top 0.1% that loves to play comp. The game overall and even the event just feels way too sweaty, and I am personally struggling more and more to find the fun in DBD.
I do have 2300 hours and have played for quite a few years now, but I would still consider myself more of a casual player even tho I play a lot, since I prefer to run fun builds or do perk randomizer, but honestly it really feels like if you don't run full meta builds while in a sweaty SWF, you will not have a good time anymore, the game is not casual friendly anymore, and even tho there is no official ranked mode, the game feels like its focused towards the few players that enjoy comp, 1v1 and tournament play, not your average player. -

Maybe your right… I miss old DBD. It was bullshit but at least both sides had bullshit. Now it seems like it's just constantly buffing killers and making the game as toxic as possible.
100% and the map reworks has made the maps more and more killer sided, there is more filler pallets, only 1 god pallet maybe and the rest of the pallets are so unsafe that the killer can lunge attack around the entire loop so unless you stun you are screwed.
The event itself seems to be too chaotic tbh, very little the survivors can do to actually help teammates due to instant teleporting hooks, and from speaking to some friends, in almost all matches, they only face Vecnas, that will use the invitation to break as many pallets as possible and if they don't have one then just mage hand and reset it, making pallets useless. and his fly ability bypasses the blocked windows, as he does not vault he just fly.
Plus with the extra items you can get from chests just makes Weave Attunement plus Franklin's Demise gives him permanent auras all over the map.
I also don't know what is going really but every time a big event goes live, all the toxic playstyles comes out, its almost like the DBD community is afraid of fun.
I highly doubt anyone in a match against a nurse that will down everyone, refuse to hook them and just bleed them out is not fun for either side, surely the nurse is not having fun either as they spend a lot of time just standing doing nothing.
I dunno why so many players in this game just loves to ruin the matches for others instead of trying to have fun.
Chaos Shuffle was the only good thing IMO that has been recently as I found in my own personal experience that most killers i faced were playing more for fun rather than just camp, tunnel, slug every match and I honestly had a really good time.
But this event as a survivor main with over 2300 hours is just painful and really boring to play, so I guess if you see me in the fog it will be in the normal queue. -

I sent myself to Midwich & tried to recreate this but wasn't able to. Has it happened multiple games or was this game just a one off?
It was just that match, its not often I see the knight, but it happened multiple times.
At one point I am going down the ramp in the library room, while on the ramp I get a guard on me that is in the hallway. The knight had broken the door, however I was not at the door yet, and the guard did not patrol far enough out to see me, it just aggroed onto me through the wall and appeared on me instantly.
Edit, I tried to see if it had it clipped, however my clip starts just after the event I just described, so I sadly can't make it a clip.

For slugs during early game, it’s a game design issue. Picking up and hooking a Survivor takes too long unless the downed Survivor is next to a hook. Leaving a slug creates pseudo pressure because one Survivor has to go for the pickup or the slugged Survivor uses their Unbreakable etc.
Survivors will tend to commit to the gen after they see someone go down due to the assumption that said Survivor will get hooked. That gives the Killer a short window of time to interrupt another Survivor doing gens.
I agree with you, that is also why I only believe the suggested timer should be there if EVERY survivor is downed and the killer refuse to hook any of them.

There is literally nothing wrong with slugging the second to last survivor for the 4k. Its the killers job to kill and more kills equals more bloodpoints and rank which also equals more bp. Just try to crawl where you think hatch will be, ive gotten hatch a few times that way.
I kinda disagree, its not fun to be slugged and just left there to die. However I do get with the current scoring system you kinda have to if you want to rank up, so it would make sense to tweak that.
So to me it would make more sense to actually force the end game to happen rather than the killer being able to just bypass it with slugging.
I would love for it to be tested on the PTB just to see how it would be, but I doubt it will ever happen.
-
What I am trying to say is eliminate slugging when every player is down, as long as a survivor is on their feet there would be no timer, and if the killer picks up a survivor and hooks them the timer will also reset, the timer will only be there IF every survivor is downed and the killer is refusing to pick anyone.
And in case of bully squads. Sure its an issue now and it will also be in the future, no matter what you do there will always be bad actors ruining the experience for others, however I do find that getting slugged vs facing a impossible to hook squad, then the slugging happens way more often.
So my idea is simply just start the timer for as long as the killer is refusing to pick anyone to just waste time.
-
The timer should restart tho when a survivor gets hooked, just so the killer has a chance to actually go to people if they decide to hook.
-
The flashbang also gets rolled back to your hand if you take a hit as you drop it, so you can't really hook save with them anymore. At least against a killer that is not brand new.

rip, but soon I believe ye shall also receive the holy mark of the alpha surveyor.
You got it too :D Welcome to the club haha
-
Lucky you two :D
-
I am still missing my Alpha Surveyor rank. I have not received an email or anything about it, checked spam as well.
So how do I get it? I already tried to send a dm to Mandy but I have not heard back and nothing has changed yet.
-
When I click the link where you can request it, I get access denied, so I guess I need some sort of access first.
-
There is a video on youtube of people playing a modded version of the game that straight up has zombies everywhere, and their games seems to run just fine.
-
It would be insane if it worked on exit gates :P No more 99% haha, well at least in 1 go.
-
I just think it would be a fun and useful buff that would make the perk also able to protect totems sometimes.

I doubt this will be read, made or considered but its worth a try.
it’s been suggested before and I am pretty sure it has been read and considered. Though if it comes it will probably take some time as it is not really that trivial and there are many actions that can be considered, especially if you want to separate every killer interaction (repel crows, snap out of it, jigsaw boxes, fountains) as well..
That is fine, but they can start with the big ones tho, gens, healing, unhooking, cleansing totems, as those are in every match and then look into more interactions later.

There's a few problems I see with that:
1: spamming A and D (left and right) to make yourself almost unhittable with the janky movement survivors have, with massive punishment to the killer is not particularly skillful either. Good survivors can make a good Twins player miss Victor's pounces even at close range because their movement is way more unpredictable, but either way, just the time you buy your team by making him take his time to pounce can be significant.
2: DBD maps are full of detritus and a lot of things have weird hitboxes that you hit when you barely see them. Things like some trees and some boxes and other debris have weird hitboxes, and sometimes you need to be close to survivors at loops.
3: I guarantee that if you do this you'll see scenarios where survivors will literally pursue Victor, because it's safer for survivors to just be as close as possible to him so they can force him to initiate a pounce immediately and miss, or just force him to constantly back up and not pounce at all because he will be crushed if he tries.
4: Not to mention you will once again create a scenario where tires or trees make Victor unusable (As it was in the PTB) because you need to line up your pounce around them and get a survivor to walk back on themselves so you can make your shot. With your mechanic it'd be impossible to line up a shot around a tree and survivors could easily just come around and kick you.
Honestly I think Victor could have a more narrow hitbox so he'd have to be a bit more precise. But I'm not sure about your proposed change.
I do see the issue on your third point, and I guess that could be fixed by doing a small change to my original idea. If Victor holds a full charge for 2 seconds he can be kicked, that way you still have time to jump those survivors trying to go for you.

I doubt you spoke with any Twins mains.
1- They are ######### unicorns. There are rumors they exist, but noone actually played against them.
2- There just can't be Twins main who would like this nerf without a huge compensation
Twins just got nerfed. There is counterplay against them. Play as a team and kick Victor whenever you can.
This change might work if you make charge time shorter and removed movement speed penalty. Victor would be useless with this change in his current state. Just run around a tree or barrel and there is nothing he can do, when he can't actually go close to you.
The only proper counter play to twins right now is SWF. If you solo queue against them, well you are just f'ed

I do appreciate the feedback from both of you tho :)

I honestly agree with this idea.
Legendary skins should have a P3 bloody version IF the character which has the legendary is at P3 for the player.
