I really like to use Fast Track, Specialist, Appraisal, and Potential energy. Bringing a BNP and trying to power up every perk so that way I can dump it all into one Gen and complete it in like 15 seconds from zero.

I know about it and I've seen it numerous of times on reddit. But it's not only that it's combination of things together which makes it even worse. They need to fix it and make it work. Why wouldn't you be able to "loop tight" if they make it normal?
The reason survivors can loop so well is because their Hitboxes is a straight cylinder and easily slides off of objects and doesn’t get caught on objects as much as the bigger killer Hitboxes do. Survivors hitboxes being the way they are is the reason why looping even became a thing in the first place.
So if they made it bend and follow the survivor you would get caught on way more objects and wouldn’t be able to hug loops as tightly either equaling less distance.
As for Billy it could be related to his internet connection or yours, because they never stated that they changed his hitboxes.
-
I can’t believe we have to keep going through this but this really just comes from ignorance on how the Hitboxes are in this game. Bhvr needs to release an official diagram of Hitboxes to put this to rest, but I’ll explain it for you. Since even some veterans don’t know this either.
The Hitboxes are a solid cylinder that is bigger than the survivor on every side. The Hitboxes also follow about 2 feet behind moving survivors that’s why you hear advice to throw projectiles at the survivors but or feet. This appears even more egregious when a survivor is injured as they slouch over and the Hitboxes does not follow the slouch.
But if you fix this and have the Hitboxes for the survivors be more accurate then you would not be able to loop tight at all and killers would become much stronger. You could shrink the survivors Hitboxes but then it would lead to scenarios where the projectile clips through the survivor model but doesn’t count as a hit.
-
Hens333s team had a 200 escape streak and I believe Eternal had a 380+ escape streak. Those streaks alone probably boosted them a few points.
-
The frustration for OP is they need to keep survivors injured to fuel their power but the team brought insane health kits they can constantly heal themselves with.
I understand the frustration but I don’t think they are that problematic. The most problematic item for survivors is the IRI Key with Blood Amber as it can single handedly win the game but it’s super rare.
It can also protect hackers from being caught as well

I’ve noticed a recent surge in slug camping, where killers leave survivors on the ground instead of hooking them. This strategy seems to keep players off the generators effectively. While the goal is to eliminate everyone before the five generators are completed, I’m curious how fun the game can be when you’re just standing in place most of the time. Personally, when I play killer, I usually get 4Ks without using any perks.
If you’re getting 4k’s without perks, I hate to break it to you but you are definitely low MMR for sure. Not even people who have 10,000 hours like Otzdarva and True can win a lot without perks.
-
It’s just more proof that tunneling doesn’t really happen all that much, or else you would see DS, OTR AND Babysitter way more.
-
The problem is that if you want to conserve tokens then you have to breathe down their neck and M1 them. It’s a much better fit on killers that barely M1 to begin with like Huntress.
A great perk for sure but I would say underused but definitely overrated. Losing a Gen for 2 big lunges? Yeah I’ll pass. Bamboozle is the best chase perk bar none, completely nullifies shack, double single loops and most other high wall loops.
-
It’s not DBD exclusive, it’s pretty ubiquitous. I work at a factory and if I’m running the machine slowly they ask me why I’m sandbagging.
-
Why would you ever use it anyways? It eats two Gen regression states.
-
I’ve noticed instead of seeing a P100 in every few matches, I literally have them every single match without fail. I guess people are comfortable playing their mains now.

Anyone else notice that alot of killer powers just straight up try (and usually do) ignore pallets? Let me give a list.
- Nurse
- Huntress
- Legion
- Deathslinger
- Pyramid head
- Trickster
- Nemesis
- The artist
- Wesker
- The singularity
- The xenomorprh
- Chucky
- The unknown
- Vecna
- Dracula
Mind you there's 37 killers..
That means that only 22 killers are actually affected by pallets...
Not even remotely true as every single killer is still affected by pallets in some way. Pallets are even more effective against Huntress than a lot of other killers and denying that is just ignorance.

It's not significant for macro play. It's significant for chases. It doesn't matter when travelling across the map, the difference is minor.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3792193#Comment_3792193
The difference between 4.4 and 4.6 from moving from point to point is pretty insignificant, it's only when you're trying to catch Survivors.
He's also still 3.86m/s when holding Blades, that didn't change from the rework at all so I have no idea what you're talking about there. The throw state movement speed is exactly the same. You just don't have the ramp up mechanic anymore, which reduced his movement speed while increasing his throw rate as he threw for longer.
It absolutely comes into play in the macro as well. You spend 10-15 minutes a match walking being 5% slower adds an extra 30-45 seconds to that time. That's just walking and not taking into account that she has to go reload at lockers which takes it from 30 seconds all the way up to an additional 45-60 seconds just by going to find lockers.
30 seconds over a whole match might not seem like a lot but ive had matches where I've won or lost by seconds alone. Definitely more significant in chases for sure but wouldn't be overpowered. The most embarrassing thing in this game is seeing 110% killers be looped around a stack of tires for 30 seconds straight before they can get a hit.
Hag, Slinger and Huntress all need to be 115%, 110% on non movement speed ability killers is beyond outdated. They did it for Trickster, it's time to do it for the rest. Not to mention Huntress moves at 77% (the slowest holding speed in the game bar none) so making her 115% still wouldn't be crazy.
-
I don't even know where to go to claim them tbh.

*looks at Wesker, who got 10% hinderance for doing nothing special, and still gets 4% hinderance while having an A-tier ability *
And while I get the idea of trickter being bad at 1v4, this isnt the solution. Or at the very least, reduce his movement speed of throwing knives to the same speed as when he was 110%. Because when they buffed his movement speed, they also buffed all other movementspeedsI specified add ons when I was talking about hinder. But I just realized OP was talking about basket so I guess that wasn't relevant for me to bring up. I just don't like how slow he throws his knives, feels like memento blades is a must run still.

The difference between 4.4 and 4.6 from a macro perspective isn't really all that significant. It only really matters for M1 chasing.
In fact, I'd say Trickster probably had a greater ability to generate pressure before his current rework. He's lacking in basically every department now.
If it wasn't significant then Huntress would be 115% but they deemed her to remain at 110%. Also 15-20% of the loops in this game she has to M1 at, not to mention having to run to poorly placed lockers and the occasional W Keying from survivors. It is very significant and ads up greatly over the course of a match if you pay attention.
Trickster definitely generates more pressure now and it's not even close. That mainly comes from and 8 blade main event AND being 115% which makes him significantly better than his old version. Not to mention makes basement saves literally impossible. I main Huntress and Trickster and I feel he is way better now except for his base throw rate which is too slow imo.

There is basically nothing in common between Freddy 1.0 and Freddy 2.0 except from the fact that they have a Dream World, and even then it's only the same by name, the mechanics are entirely different.
Yeah but his new power is literally dummy simple, placing pools of blood on the ground. That's way easier and faster of a change to make considering his old power was also very simple.

yea i already realized that, it was one of my favourite survivor perks so i'm not mad, but since Stridor does seem to add 50% to 0 again now i could really start bringing it (back then i never liked it, it made me misjudge the distance because every grunt was so loud).
That Rapid + STBFL combo sounds good on paper, i don't know if it will be useful with my Spirit gameplay (i never chase M1 with her, but maybe it helps closing the distance and STBFL is always fun to play)Not sure if you know this but Spirit is considered an M1 killer. You can use any M1 perk on her and hitting a survivor after a Phase Walk is still considered an M1.

Never in the history of this game have they completely reworked a killer and its power completely in that way.
If only that were true……
https://us.v-cdn.net/6030815/uploads/DNFJBKQA0FI2/oldfreddy-png.png
I wouldn’t call old Freddy to new Freddy a completely new power. Still has similar elements to his 1.0 version, it is new but radically simple in comparison to a proposed Nemmy Sprint
-
No real meta anymore after they gutted all Gen slowdown perks a few patches ago. I personally do Corrupt, Pain Rez, Rapid and STBFL on spirit. But Iron Will is super common now that it got buffed so maybe bring stridor?

His hellfire hotbox is fine. It’s just as wide as Pyramid Heads PoTD and can’t go under walls nor can it go as far.

If you had a penalty of 10 minutes (15 minutes should be correct), you DCed at least two times before that. The first DC is 1 minute, followed by 5 minutes.
And if it is only a problem with your Internet, it is on you to fix that, because the other players in your game dont care if you DC due to poor connection or due to a ragequit, for them it is the same.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3791328#Comment_3791328
If you manually DC, you get a Penalty for the first time already (1 minute). If the Server kicks you out (and everyone DCs), you dont get a Penalty.
That’s strange I Dc’ed as a survivor 3 times before getting a penalty. I don’t remember how I left though. Maybe I used task manager.

Honestly as much of a Diehard killer main I am, I would hate to see flashlights go. I literally love survivors chasing me with flashlights going for saves. It makes the game way more fun and interesting.
Them going for saves mean they aren’t on gens and aren’t really worried about winning but having fun and trying to hit clips. I never feel bad about losing a hook to flashys either.
Flash bangs on the other hand are very annoying since you need literally zero skill to use them and are uncounterable if the survivor knows how to drop it in your hit box.

You can quit 3 times before your first penalty and it resets every season. I don’t think anybody is going to have that many emergencies.

Do you actually have evidence for this or did you just pull that number out of thin air?
An exaggeration with no evidence but it’s more or less common sense. Only 40,000 on steam, 15-20,000 on Epic Games. 650,000 between both consoles. Only 60,000 out of 700,000 have the option for filters. And those extreme color filters are almost exclusively used by comp players because they look absolutely awful, with the whole game being black and white but the red color still existing and being brighter.
Probably more like 1 in 10,000 if we are being honest considering the only players who generally do it are comp players and none of the people I know or who have ever talked to don’t use those extreme color filters.

Spine Chill did way more than that, and what made it kind of powerful was that along with it, it gave a boost to other actions.
And what does old OoO have to do anything? That perk was changed ages ago. Nobody runs it now. Stop living in the past.
Oh stop it, telling people not to live in the past is crazy considering that’s all survivors do on these forums when they are talking about old Dead Hard and all their other old busted AF perks.
There’s nothing wrong with shining light on the past and revealing that for the first 6 years this game was a survivors paradise and they were the true power role.
Old Object was one of the most insane perks in the game bar none.

Suffocation Pit is a big one. If you get the one that generates the window in the middle rather than at the end where the basement spawns, it is pretty much an infinite. Even when they throw the pallet if you do not have high movespeed the survivor can loop that window till entity blocker a majority of the time.
Infinites are so frustrating, free time sinks with no skill expression on the survivors side beyond holding W.Literally just had that variation today, Seven windows chained together back to back. Throwing it in with my map design rant video I'm about to do because these new map variations and reworks have been atrocious.
-
Trapper, Hag, Doctor, Nurse can all shut down pallets. This is nothing new lol.

@UndeddJester said:
BL1 usually is hit by M1 killers who have to chase survivors halfway across the map after Sprint Burst or Lithe before a survivor has to start using tiles.
If the goal is to make killers that aren't Blight, Hillbilly, Nurse, Wesker, Spirit, Oni, Huntress even weaker, then removing Bloodlust is a good way to do it.
It would make Huntress even weaker too, considering 20% of the loops on each map are physically impossible to land a hatchet at because of her slow speed and windup time.(not to mention indoor maps) Not to mention another 20% of loops because you just have to catch up to pull the hatchet out and have time to throw it. She keeps bloodlust even when holding hatchets thankfully.
Make M1 killers 120%, everyone else 115% and get rid of bloodlust.
-
Might as well implement a permanent anti hook mechanic honestly. Oh and also an anti injure survivor mechanic, that would be dope. Ooooooh now that I think about it an anti killer movement mechanic would be sick too!
-
I started slugging more myself just because it definitely gives way more pressure. Pyramid head with knock out and the 3rd seal is the best. I even beat a 4 mans swf with that combo. When you cage a survivor is doesn't reveal their location via black bubble either so you can cage strategically.
-
Survivors greed gens WAY more and it’s not even close. At least when I play my main, significantly more gens are done and it gets to the end game way more often.
Definitely encourages returning to hook and tunneling but dissuades camping for sure.
-
Them having permanent wall hacks is annoying because they can’t be mind gamed at loops at all. It would be cool to have settings to permanently reveal their auras so I could just practice snipes and orbitals without having to activate perks and stuff.
-
@WolfyWood said:
Why do you think you should be able to beat someone after not playing for two months?
99% of games have a MMR decay system where if you stop playing for a long time you slowly derank.
That way when you return you can work your way back into things and not get cooked.

obviously people do it for trolling, but OP talks about it as if it's meta. It isn't.
They specifically stated in Asia. Are you from there? Because if not then you have zero room to make that statement.
I’ll remind you the Asia region plays DBD very differently compared to the rest of us. As highlighted in an Otzdarva video where a good sample size of their player base were polled on different things and they have drastically different opinions. Like Huntress being accepted as a Mid B Tier killer and Self Care still being an S Tier perk.
No region is the same
-
Pyramid Head is the best for this playstyle to still hook because you can cage survivors and no black bubble pops up over them so the survivors don’t know where the cage is. Many times I caged a survivor using this build and they die on the first hook because they can’t be found, especially if you go relocate the cage.
-
3 Decent Killer updates, Brand New Killer = Survivor bonus. But even then it’s region dependent. For me it’s still a 100% killer bonus every night.
-
Plaything hard counters his power. It’s your fault if you cleanse it. Just leave it up, it literally helps you against him.
-
I’m not gonna lie the 70 second hook timer is to blame. Ever since the timer got increased I noticed survivors get way more Gen progress. I knew it was a bad idea but survivors are happy
-
Both Borgo maps are an instant DC for me. I will not play them anymore without something to help because it kills my eyes. I feel bad for console players having to look at this game like this for so many years.
It looks very washed out and muddy. Which I’m sure is the vibe they were going for in 2016 before they added all those goofy cosmetics. The horror atmosphere is essentially gone so they should update the visual settings
-
Dying light can only go up to 18% slowdown without an obsession changing or killing a survivor. It's 3% per hook which is beyond reasonable. Wretched fate is for a single survivor and can be cleanse, pentimento is placed over it and can be cleaned as well. Then thanataphobia will be stuck at 6% slowdown most of the game except against plague.
We do not need to nerf a perk combo that only two killers can optimize. The most slowdown you'll get is 40% on average which is still a lot but requires a lot to go right and a lot of work to make happen.
-
Maps aren't even closed to balanced. According to the stats killers hit bloodlust tier one in over 70% of games. The only reason it's not higher is because of the perk Rapid Brutality and certain killer who don't get BL hardly at all, like Doc and Clown. Make killers 120% and we can get rid of Bloodlust altogether.
