Get over it. ######### nerfs happen to everyone. Look at ds. Even now with how situational (active for a couple of seconds after being unhooked) killers still complain.
Its strictly a one time anti tunneling perk that can be countered by slugging and leaving alone till timer runs out.
As for lack of play. I prefer playing survivor but with all the nerfs they got and how many survivors play without skill its not worth it.
EVERYONE LOVES BEGGING TO NERF SOMEONE ELSE'S MAIN
HOWEVER nobody likes having their mains nerfed.

At least repressed alliance gives us a chance although it has its own balance. All survivors have to leave you alone on the generator in order for you to activate it.

Highest mobility killer with build-in one shots all game long, and full movement speed to boot?
lolwut. This has been a long time coming, especially with the endless nerfs to survivors. Hillbilly might've been balanced a long time ago.
Agreed.
At this point i just want to say survivors have been nerfed as often it is what it is. 🤷🏻
Ds sucks. Dead hard is situational. You can probably and my favorite drum roll please
Toolbox repair speed nerfed
Repairing in a group speed nerfed
Repairing in a group with a tool box speed NERFED.

I want so badly to be able to play as Shaggy from Scooby-Doo. I think Shaggy would fit perfectly into Dead by Daylight. He could come with a perk that could drastically increase the speed at which survivors can travel across the map. The perk would allow Shaggy to enter a locker wherever he can find one, and mark the locker with the activate ability button. When he enters a different locker for three seconds and is outside of the killer’s terror radius, he can teleport to the marked locker and quickly travel across the map. The chase scenes in Scooby-Doo often have characters entering a room and then exiting from a completely different room. I think a perk like this would be a great nod to this. I’d love to hear more perk suggestions from the community!
The ability to teleport can be called "like far out" or if you really want to be funny
Zoinks
Then for a techy perk jinkies (velma)
And then for am altruistic perk or distraction perk jeepers (daphne)

But git gud has nothing to do with it. Ive beaten tons of ghost faces by just not even trying that whole mechanic (noping it, if you will). And running away. Like all around the map if i have to.

So.
Your response to a perfectly understandable complaint to a buggy mechanic that doesn't register most of the time is 'git gud'?
I'm sorry, how exactly are them 'getting gud' going to assist in helping them reveal ghostface if the mechanic is less understood than it possibly is?
I am also Confucius

The Shifter
His abilities are:
One of his abilities works similar to ghostface's stalk but instead of the survivor getting exposed, the killer turns into that player's character.
His second ability would be to mask his heartbeat for a set time, this would be to hide himself from being easily found out.
I was thinking that after he hits someone, he would change back to his normal form.
I think this would lead to many fun moments of being shocked that a Jane smacked you.
Leave your thoughts of what you think!

We have a lot of chapter, and a lot of perk acctualy, what do you think about survivor and killer if they could use 5 perks?
I think it adds more depth to gameplay customization
I do however understand the numerology to the lore of the game
4 perks
4 different survivors to kill

The only steam rolling we should be doing is steam rolling that blood web against the entity js

Under no circumstances should a killer ever lose if the survivors need 9 gens.....
I EMPHASIZE THIS IS NOT TO NERF ALL SURVIVORS. Only those who play swf.
Balance if they are coordinated its like most SWAT SWF its just an extra objective.
And its not 9 gens. Its 8. Playing online at max you can only play with a max of 3 friends. You would not be including yourself initially

It's anecdotal, but I feel like I'm going against teams more often. Pairs 3 and 4 man groups all included.
It's going to be a very bad time, but I hope SWF continue to grow in popularity. When they do, the data will back up what players have been saying about them for years and maybe we'll start to see balance changes that address the issue.
The issue being the strength of an organized swf group compared to a single equally skilled killer.
I think survivors have been nerfed enough.
Yes. Swf is a HUGE issue.
I think they should add a generator more per friend for swf groups. Reasonable balance.
If they want to swf they should be up for an extra objective per friend in match.
-
I'd buy it

Behavior should market their own cereal.
Survivor tally mark shaped (like on dbd logo) rice cereal with marshmallows in tge shape of killer weapons and masks
-
Well before legion came out, the leaks were suggesting that, being disguised as a survivor would be there thing, their leak name was supposed to be "the actor".
To actually give this killer an advantage (since as mentioned by ppl in the thread earlier-he's somewhat useless against swf) he can probably have a teleporting ability (like freddy=with a long cool down time), in which he teleports to totem locations (intact, or destroyed)
And actually the re invoke ability can be scrapped
And instead make an active ability like
Consecrate: once per match, if the killer can find where a cleansed totem is located, they can rebuild it.
(The balance is that if killer has many totems cleansed they would have to really pay close attention to the location of the totem they want to bring back)
-
APPRECIATED THOUGH. Not all survivors play scummy.
I do understand your point on the premade builds killers do them too but anywho as you mentioned so eloquently some ppl play with skill.

While you may not agree, all those things you mentioned that were "nerfd" were done so with just cause. Compare any of those things with their counterparts of the past and it can easily be seen why. All these "nerfs" have really done is just -reduce- the levels of broken imbalance survivors have had in their favor since the beginning to a more manageable level. Add in SWF to the mix and all those things from before were definitely fully taken advantage of.
Not with cause. Ppl abuse playing killers just as much as they do survivors.
I agree entirely in the case of swf f them.
But the point of balance is that playing both should be equally fun. Killers HAVE A HUGE advantage because they have their own powers. Just like annoying survivors use flashlights and tool boxes killers use their moris.
Balance should be that if you use skill
Killing/surviving should be even. As survivors should not be able to survive playing without skills killers should not be able to get 3-4ks without skills.
The point of the perks is to heighten parameters of certain characteristics=speed, slowing down the match, etc...
And developing builds that are custom to your play style.
Your argument is one sided. I agree there is a problem as in the case with swf but that is EASILY RECTIFIED by not giving them access to all level 3 perks unless they actually have them for that character (in which case fair game-same for killer btw=balance)

Maybe a hades themed outfit for wraith
-
I know its wicked cool.
Killer perks can be something along the lines of
-hex: stagnation: skill checks while cleansing.
Helps ppl hold onto to their hex totems a little longer.
-hex: re-invoke
Any hex totem cleansed before this one; its effects will continue for 60 sec (tier 1), 80 sec (tier 2), 100 sec (tier 3)
-hex: dark portals. a token for every hex totem cleansed.
1 token- smaller killer terror radius for rest of match
2 token-survivor with aura revealing abilities or map with add ons cannot see the killer. Spine chill and premonition still work though
3 tokens- one random hex totem re spawns on the map at random
4 tokens- can mori all survivors
-
I have an idea for a survivor to go with this killer.
A witchy/pagan/esoteric character.
Perks could be:
Third eye: active ability. After cleansing a totem this ability becomes active. Once activated the survivor can clear their mind of shadow block/dr.s maddness status effect/plagues sickness/pyramids tormented status effect.
Can only be activated after cleansing a totem.
Stackable with inner strength (the balance is the more ppl that use it, perks that work with cleansing totems-the less totems there will be available.
Reiki Master or (ahem) hex slayer:
Basically slightly faster cleansing speed perk. Tier 1 is much slower then regular cleansing. Tier 2 is maybe like 1/2 a second faster then normal cleansing. Tier 3 is like 1 second faster
Healing aura: healing action button. Becomes active when a survivor is injured or in dying state. Survivor heals injured survivor at whatever distance (but at a much slower rate
thenregular healing; Just like when healing/selfcare survivor cannot move while healing from distances (cool fingers on temple animation when perk is in use). While the perk is in use the survivor healing's aura is revealed to the killer. This ability is cool because if an injured survivor is being chased/or in dying state they can get some progress on being healed; this also gives the killer the option to stop chasingi njured/searching for downed survivor and to go after healing survivor.

Red ranks survivors that have no skill and are no help to the team

I enjoy playing killer more than survivor, though often times I wish the survivor objective was 6 gens instead of 5. That way it would feel a bit more chill and not just like a rushed match ping-ponging between the best decisions you can make while an invisible countdown timer is ticking down mercilessly because the 3 survivors you aren't chasing are probably holding M1.
i will emphasize that i dont agree with you.
Swf is unfair
But survivor gameplay has been NERFED a lot already. I say this with the exception of swf survivors whom of course are toxic af but if you guys want actual survivor gameplay more difficult then it already is (excluding swf=screwed up) then you guys want a much easier match that doesnt require any skill from you.
Toolbox repair speed had been nerfed
Even with a red piece one toolbox will not guarantee you 1 generator
Group repair speed has been nerfed
Group repair speed with a toolbox has been nerfed
Healing speed has been nerfed
Not fast enough to catch a survivor (excluding ACTUALLY HAVING SKILL AND USING PERKS TO MAKE YOU FASTER) its cool just keep chasing the survivor until you get your bloodlust bonus speed.
The game at the moment (it didnt always) favors killers over survivors as it is.
The only ######### thing is SWF groups because they are coordinated. This ALSO negatively affect survivors who play future matches with survivors that are only good when feeding intel to their friends via group chat.
-
I can tell if these red rank survivors are legit or not usually by the start of a match.
If i start a match and spawn with someone and they are running around leaving scratch marks instead of sneaking, then they are not legit red ranks for these are not red rank behaviors.
I always think to myself though

And again , only premades of genrushers, veterans don't like to play the game
Trust me unless its SWF, they can't be that good. Remember some survivors are in red ranks due to being baby sat by their friends in SWF.
I was a red rank survivor on ps4 but between these same "red rank survivors"
-throwing the match
-being lousy survivors in general
-body blocking me
-not working on gens a whole 5-10 min while in in chase.
I have literally and consecutively lost so many matches that i am no longer in red ranks.
Mind you the matches i do win are when i am the last survivor alive.

Hes more of a scrapper or so that's what his archive story suggests. And they did for the ability ds-thats why i emphasized the ability can have a heavy prerequisite (just like ds does)
But i appreciate your feedback.
Just trying to come up with ideas to fix a very annoying problem that happens more frequently then id like.
Ive been in rank limbo between rank 4 and 5 for a month now due to this.
