What you just said applies to killer, though. Playing against a 4 man SWF absolutely makes killer feel like a chore/community service.
You can't even know whenever you are playing against a 4 man SWF.
But it's easier for you to accuse survivors to be part of a gaming group instead of taking your responsibility for you losses, isn't it?

The stats will never show 80% escape rate because looking at stats that way aren't ever going to show the problem.
Escape and kill rate is a horrible metric to look at because there are too many variables to look at:
- Was it a SWF
- Did the kills all happen at the end because the killer had NOED and they played altruisticly? I could give you examples of games where i get 1-2 hooks and the game goes horrible, but i get a 4k because they didn't expect the NOED. I wouldn't exactly consider that a "balanced match"
- Did both sides play their hardest to win
- Did anyone give up and hook suicide
- Did the map generate a survivor sided map with 87 pallets for some reason.
The other problem is that the amount of survivors that play this game that are CAPABLE of playing at that level are extremely small. So for every match i get against a team that is literally impossible to beat unless i'm playing nurse, i'll get 10 matches with megheads that predrop shack pallet the wrong direction so i hit them anyway.
This is why looking at those types of metrics isn't really useful. This is also why i'm recording many matches right now, and doing several experiments to actually SHOW people what they aren't seeing, because data only goes so far if you can't actually see it. It's just taking a while because i don't have as much time to play DBD at the various times of day i need to get the proper stats. I should later this year though when i have some time off work.
Stats will also never show that many killers contribute to lower the KR by giving the hatch to the last survivor or that they sometimes farm from the start of the trial.
For these same reasons the KR might even be superior, according to your reasoning.

'Why' is called cherry picking the data to fit what they've already decided should be the result. Everything else except one number is being ignored completely here.
'How' is absolutely going to be killer buffs. Likely 'give back old Eruption' or some crap.
You can't nerf SWFs without nerfing SoloQ in general that's what I was referring to.
For the same reason killer perks shouldn't be nerfed just cause Nurse/Blight exist.

@RipperX said:
Overall KR Average is 58.50%, a bit under the target of 60% KR, a slight overall buff to killers in general is needed
High MMR 4 man SWF is 48 % not a surprise, that's why SWF should be nerfed
High MMR soloQ 39% a bit under 40% they can perfom well but need to be slightly buffed
Those number mean SWF and SoloQ need two separate mode and a separate balancing, BHVR can't keep working as survivors thinking they are just a single group becuase they aren't
How and why would you nerf SWF without destroying survivors in general and only because that 5% of the total (High MMR) is 'problematic'?
-
@Crowman said:
3% overall, but in High MMR it's almost a 10% gap. Basically showing that the more experience, the more advantage that coordinating gives.
Also this shows that there is basically no difference between SoloQ, Duo and Trio.
The overall survivor rate is the same, and in High MMR there is only a 3% gap.

Revert the possibility to self-heal but if the killer snuff the totem, surv can't boon that totem again, inducing them to look for another one.

What about trail of torment users? They kick gens regularly to trigger its affect and can have zero reason to actually do it for regression
In which universe do you kick the same generator 8 times to trigger Trail of Torment also considering the perk already has a 60s cooldown?

First of all, Slinger low tier???
Second of all, he gets hurt quite a bit from this change since breaking the chain purposefully on the obsession to save stacks was something used A LOT when using the perk
No when I said "but also" I was referring to not low tier killers.
Deathslinger to make sure he sends down the obsession must still use his M1, so 2 stacks are lost regardless.
-
Low tier killers (Freddy, Trapper, Myers but also Doctor, Deathslinger, Clown, Wraith) don't get hurt by this since they all are M1 killers.
-
They should have just addressed the gens spawn location instead of fixing the problem by creating another one.
-
Letting Survivors repair 5% of the total progress incentivises the killer to secure even more 3-gen now...
-
The 8 'regression events' seem to much from me.
I think 5 is more than enough to realise that the killer is constantly in that portion of the map and wants to defend that gen at all costs without leaving.

Let's be honest here, surv bugs tend to be fixed faster than individual killer ones. That's a fact. Killers like Clown and Demo have been unable to fully look down for about a year now, for example.
Flashlights have been disabled immediately after the discovery of the Locker bug exploit.
I also remember an Inner Healing killswitch after 2 days after a bug appeared with the perk.
If I go deeper there are certainly many other examples but in any case the issues involved in one case or the other are treated indifferently.
Get rid of this Us vs Them mentality and open your mind.
-
I once saw a streamer who every time he managed to get 4k he gave 5 star and 1 star when he could not.
-
They were to make him even more disgusting to deal with than he already was before.
-
If I have seen three people enter snowmen this year, that's already a lot. Last years snowmen were better, plus snowballs are boring after a couple of uses, I would have added at least the throwing animation effect.
-
They need to remove 2 stacks at least and deactivate it in end-game.
-
I guess I will never understand what these people want to prove with their winstreaks in a game like this, seriously does anyone give a damn about this stuff?
-

I honestly didn't even think about this until just now. The removal of hookgrabs was due to allowing save attempts if the killer camps a hook, but now... the anti-facecamp mechanic prevents that situation. With that mechanic in play, the only time a survivor would get grabbed is in the event they are trying to unhook mid chase. Am I missing something?
No, the AFC wouldn't prevent the killer for making an hook grab, since the meter stops filling up when a survivor is in proximity of the hook managing to do a save.
-
These pictures are the epitome of sadness.
-
Tunneling has always existed regardless of the basekit BT, the useless AFC and everything else.
Through the years killers have been received considerable tweaks and if you feel you need to desperately tunnel to win every game, that's on you I guess.
In addition and in conclusion, unless you're permanently stuck in High MMR for some appparent reason, M1 killers do quite well actually.
-
@Tsulan said:
Technically facecamping. Thats a new one... Like long distance face camping...
The anti face camp mechanic is supposed to work against face camping: the killer standing right in front of the hook. Its not supposed to work on proxy camping or when teammates loop the killer around the hook.
So as you describe it, it works just as intended.
5m from the hook means face camping, there is 0 difference with the killer standing with his face in front of the hook.
Also, if another survivor is coming for the save, the killer can literally face-camp because the meter stops filling up.
Stop making excuses to justify this flawed and abusable feature, that's quite ridicoulous.

That one proposal where the map would get darker with a lot of fog actually sounds extremely fun.
It must be very fun for sure, but my favourite is Tag for what I've read.

Im not sure you understood what he said, he ment that it gives "a free health state" because they run away and therefore they are not getting a hit.
If it is dead heart / off the record or other second chance perks, or if it is the perks OP mentions. The end result is that the survivor gets away from them with out loosing a healt state.
"The end result is that the survivor gets away from them with out loosing a healt state."
I mean, you know that you need to chase and hit survs to make them losing health states or do you want them to suddenly go down while repairing gens? Do you want telekinetic hits?

Big W, now everyone has to play the killer as it was originally intended without exploiting bugs.
Hope this is a first step to address Oni and Wesker as well.

Where is the nerf?
I just see a potential exploit fixed before being abused.

As long as they hit “Find Match.” From the AMA.
”Q: For the Twins rework, what does "adjust the slugging meta" mean?
A: First off - definition. Slugging = downing survivors without picking them up and hooking them (leaving them on the ground and rushing off to down more survivors). We've noticed that for many players the optimal way to play with the current Twins kit is to slug survivors heavily with Victor. This isn't a very fun playstyle for survivors as you end up spending a lot of time on the ground not able to do anything. SO - the Twins update will change the kit to encourage other kinds of play styles more. -Mike”
From the new AMA. Twins have been bugged forever, severely hindering the Killer experience. BHVR don’t care.
When all 3 Twins mains are bothering Survivors, NOW it’s a problem. Other kinds of play styles? Probably going to start playing another Killer. Options will be increasingly limited as Killers continue to be gutted. Huntress next.
The least noisy cry in history, since it has even been three years.

Several killers have received tweaks but only Skull Merchant and Onryo have been more thoroughly reworked; as in their powers have been modified drastically. And both of them are stronger than they were before. I’d say those are great changes for the killer. Maybe when you’re thinking about how BHVR is gonna rework the twins, you should consider those examples. (:
Also Trickster, he's insanely strong now.

Why did you remove bloodweb improvements? It still takes AGES to level up.
It's confirmed to be a fake, don't post this again.

Disappointing answers to useless questions for the most part, as always.

BHVR has stated that their stats show that being in a SWF grants you an average 15% higher chance to escape, but let’s keep pretending “SWFs are just friends chilling and talking about something else”
I don’t want SWF removed, I just want the game properly balanced around them, which it is currently not.
That's why SoloQ should first be brought up to the level of a SWF first and then the game could be balanced accordingly.

SURVIVORS...
1) Survivor HUD
1.5) Additional stuff added to the Survivor HUD
2) Easier flashlight timing
3) Removed hook grabs
4) Anti face camp
5) Upcoming 3 gen "solution"
6) The entire Mangled mechanic being updated in the future, to be less frustrating for survivors
7) A possible FoV slider (the roadmap doesn't say "killer FoV slider" so survivors might get one too)
MEANWHILE, KILLERS...
1) Upcoming FoV slider, that might not even count as a killer only improvement, because survivors might get an FoV slider too
2) LITERALLY ZERO OTHER THINGS ANNOUNCED
Puahahahaha are you joking, aren't you? Have you been living under a rock for the last year and a half or what?
-
He literally received relevant buffs to his basekit and a full add-on pass one year ago approximately...

Ormond
-
Acutally it's the opposite.
What's annoying is knowing that at any moment of the game the killer can spot where you are because of the now innumerable aura reading perks.
Distortion has become a must if you want not to get wallhacked every single second.
-
Distortion is an ALL-IN perk, similiar to Adrenaline.
You can either get full value of it if the killer is running aura reading perks, or get 0 value if they run 4 slowdown perks e.g.
You are acting as if everyone who uses it are rats and selfish, which has nothing to do with the perk. If someone wants to be a rat, they would be regardless.
This is a classic overreacting situation.

I dont see why, if you try to rescue someone being camped while you know this mechanic exists, its a you problem. If it takes that long you can repair most gens or proc reasurance if you wanna guarantee all the gens get repaired. Its a missplay everywhere you see it.
You have just proved the OP point about the failure of the anti-camp feature if you hadn't noticed, that's what I was referring to.
-
That's a good question cause I have the same doubt, hope some mod is gonna answer for clarification.
-
He's probably the best pub stomper of this game outside of Nurse, Blight and this version of Sadako.
-
Never had problem on this map outside of a nasty 3-gen spawn and huge deadzone behind the main building.
-
They are ashamed to show the miserable 30% of SoloQ escape rate
-
"it would let people with actual game knowledge and skill get rewarded"
Of course, because kicking gens / opening lockers / starting the trial and on are an actual skill rewarded to get an aura reading instead, right?
-
Because they probably think Shards are "more affordable" then Auric Cells but the reality is that there is a lot of grinding work involved in obtaining them that they pretend to know about
-
According to Tru3Talent, 99,9%
-
You created this account just to cry over surv perks, there is no problem on saying that you are bad at the game.
-
No, rather WoO needs to be basekit.
-
Not all survivors are able to sustain a decent chase, especially if they have become extremely disadvantaged over time due to the famous 'map balancing', so I don't blame them for wanting to be more stealthy and just do their main objective.
