I just can't why he thinks Leatherface is underrated, but it's alright to have an opinion.
-
I don't see how you think he's weak in any way.
He has such a strong anti-loop, just like Freddy. You are forced to use a pallet sometimes that you wouldn't with any other killers.
You say that his M2 is useless. Absolutely not it isn't. Hitting through pallets is strong, and downing, you can fake with it. He is strong, and I could go on. I'm not writing paragraphs.

Short version:
We took a close look at the perk to identify what makes it so frustrating to play against. Three key issues were identified:
- Its punishment of new players or those who can't hit Great Skill Checks. Newer players trying to help veterans with generator repairs tend to make the situation worse rather than better.
- The passive nature of the gameplay pressure it provides means that there is a huge amount of potential with very little effort or risk on behalf of The Killer.
- Its inconsistency due to the random nature of the appearance interval of skill checks.

I never said I was a godly player with him.
I'm giving a real statement on why he's weaker than huntress.

Huntress has no built in STBFL. How comes? You can easily dodge hatches due to her wind up time. And He can deny any loops where a huntress is lost. Add his overly bs TR and He can even sneak up to get even more save Hits. Deathslinger is another A-Tier killer, if you know how this game works.
He is not A-Tier, not at all.
I've been playing for 3 years total now, I know what's wrong and good. It's fine that this is a debate, but she does. Throw a hatchet at close range, and she recovers. She literally has a built in cool down after a hatchet hit.
I'm sending a video, that explains this perfectly on how.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bgSCNmficmU
I know Tru3 doesn't really have a good reputation here, but truly this explains why she's just better in general. She can get more than two downs by the time Deathslinger gets 1.

@LetsPlayTogether said:
A weaker huntress. Sure. LOL
I mean, he is.
Huntress has built in STBFL. She can down anyone from anywhere from the map, if she's great with hatches. Please explain to me where he's even slightly better.

I love playing Freddy, still my favorite killer to play as.
I mean, if you don't like playing Freddy, there are other killers to play. A new one just came out too.

just an opinion but maybe both
went against him a bunch yesterday and today and i think he’s absolutely boring to go against, yeah he might shake up chases but when you go against a good deathslinger its extremely frustrating being killed in 5 seconds cause they have pinpoint accuracy.
idk, i doubt they’d be able to make a good and justified nerf to him, but i hope theres a way to change him to make him at least a little more fun to go against
that goes for any killer.
if they are good, they are annoying to go against.

Gen speed is fine and Deathslinger looks to be a decent killer addition.
So, 5 minute games are fine?
Yeah, makes sense.
-
Nah, don't listen to that guy. Dude says to "get better",
due to framerate, and horrid controls. It's not great, either. Adjustments are kind of needed.

Very specific set of conditions there. That's the thing. When people talk about gen speeds, they always find a way to make a perfect scenario for their case that will happen maybe once every 50-75 games.
This isn't conditions that happen every 50-75 games.
The logic of having to chase someone, pick them up, and hook them can take a good 50 seconds, even. Especially with a good survivor on the team.
If you think that makes sense to just holding R1, then. I really wish the best for you mentally.

pressure more dude
*pressure more, dude*
I'd like to see you go against a SWF who gen rush, and abuse an infinite. Please, do that. Record it. I'd really like to see you apply pressure.
-
It is fine BUT.
It needs to be changed as if..
Are you being healed? Doing gens? Decisive is gone, if that's the case. It's a simple fix.
-
DS should be deactivated if they heal, do a gen, any objective or do anything. It sucks to have that happen, they can do anything they want for a good minute without anything happening to them.

Scott... I've seen enough of your videos to know that 99 times out of 100, you're going to 4k and 4k with ease. You screw around with 360 hatchet tosses because the game is such a joke for you.
You know you can run CI and still 4k without any gens done. The devs themselves said to expect to lose two gens in the first 4 minutes.
Losing one gen is not the end of the game. Sure it doesn't look as good on YouTube as the 5-gen/4k does, but it's far from game over. I'd be shocked to see you upload a video where all four escape against you where you actually tried. I don't believe it happens ever.
Just because someone is a streamer or something, doesn't mean that they are godly and will win every match. The game has it's flaws. Streamer or not, they still are a brain against 4.
Losing one gen isn't a bad thing, but it ends up to be a bad thing. I think that post is more of sucking a streamer off.
-
What's great, is to know the survivors aren't even trying 100% as much as the killer was.

😂 unbearable? Game is fine. I’m sorry that they didn’t build the game exactly the way you personally wanted it. My condolences
So, if you couldn't loop, click your flashlight, and teabag, this game isn't balanced, right? Yeah, makes sense.

yeah so fun..then they complain about the "gen rush", when they actually waste time doing this instead of preventing them from doing gens.
There are several perks that help a lot in case you didn't know to avoid the rush gene.
-Thrilling Tremors
-Pop Goes the Weasel
-Discordance
-Arises
-Corrupt Intervention
-Thanatophobia
-Overcharge
Any of these helps a lot, you just needed to create a good build. By the way, ruin is still good, especially when they play swf because they have to leave the gens to rescue others. But in ranges without color they rarely help..They prefer to hide or run around the map for no reason instead of helping others or making gens, then they insult you when you hook them instead of giving them the hatch :I
Just because one killer camps, doesn't mean every killer, lol
-
Honestly, if you think the game is balanced right now as killer, then. I don't think this game is for you. This isn't a bully simulator, if you can't bully the killer, then man. The game sucks, doesn't it?
People still think the game is 1v1. When it's a 4v1. Loops can be strong. It takes about 10-20 seconds to have a safe pallet dropped,
It can take more than 10 seconds to bring them to a hook, too. If a SWF is just doing gens, then yeah. It is a loss. There is no such thing as applying pressure on bigger maps, as Leatherface, Ghostface, any killer with low mobility. It just doesn't work. Design is flawed. I can send you some videos of a killer doing GREAT! But still losing, because of the design. it just doesn't make sense what the logic is behind it at times.

Should really make a thread titled "Why Did You Lie About Quitting DBD?" If you have feedback, leave it, but don't pretend you quit. If you quit you wouldn't be here trying to engage with the "toxic, survivor heavy" community.
Fact: Killers get more kills than escapes across all ranks. But please continue to tell us how "survivor-sided" the game is.
Game is survivor sided.
That doesn't seem like a fact, as you're just bringing it up without any proof to back it up.
If you think a 5 minute game is fair in a game like this, then. It's just a bad mixup for you. Sorry to say, but the facts aren't just there.
-
I play both ends, but. I started quitting my play-time for this game due to the whole Killer nerfs.
Developers really don't know their own game. It's just boring playing the same 3 top tier killers that can do something. Kind of.
I just wish developers knew what the real issue was with their games.
-
Fix the Swamp's infinite. Fix all the infinites.

@Colton147 said:
Genrush doesn't really exist; you need to apply more pressure.
Corrupt Intervention is usually better on Trapper - allowing you enough time to set up.
Gen rush doesn't exist? Apply pressure?
What about Clown, Trapper, Bubba, Legion, etc.. The list goes on.
A perk can make the game a little slower, yes. But killer has so little time to run with.
Honestly, I dare you to play at Rank 1, without perks. I can give you several videos regarding gen speed, and the killer doing just fine.
-
He can teleport. Only to gens, and has dream pallets, or snares. These only work in the dream world, though. Most of the time, chases aren't even in the dream world started.
Honestly, I think people are just whining because they can't bully a killer that outplays them.
-
She sucks now, basically. The nerf really hurt her.
-
No.
Just no. Stop nerfing killers. So what, he's viable? That sucks. Let's nerf him.
-
Yes, 5 minute games are fine. 80 seconds for a gen, but less with a toolbox. Chases could take longer than a gen at times, you have to down them, then hook them. That could take 20-30 seconds itself. Even if you down people consistently, you're gonna lose against a good team. It's stupid.
-
Freddy is fine, and also viable.
He has good map pressure, and snares, and dream pallets. He's strong, but not too strong. I think he's perfectly fine where he's at.
No nerfs. Seriously.
-
They are weak.
But on good maps, they are good. It's just map design that screws a lot of people over. These killers don't have enough to get around the map. Or just strong pallets waste time. It matters.
-
Rank 20 must be hard, here I am at Rank 1.
I miss Old Ruin already.
-
It's a good perk. It's strong. To say it's weak, and deny it's purpose, slow down the game. If it slowed someone down by a totem cleanse, or one skill-check missed, I'm happy. If 5 minutes my totem is there, that's a MAJOR help. You know how much time matters, right?
You're complaining just as much as we are.
-
No.
It is a new garbage set up. It's used for late-game.
I don't have to explain why that's not good. Late-game is explainable.
We don't have to try it completely to know it's purpose yet. Unless it's a Killer, or a slight change to perks. This is major.
-
It's not the Ruin that really upsets me, it's the fact that they are changing things that aren't needing to be changed.
The real issues are here, and they don't seem to know it. So, yes. After this patch, I'm gone. They lost a customer, unfortunately.
-
He sucks.
And people use the whole *nobody wants to be slugged.*
The developers forced us to play him as is. He sucks on Console, he was great before the nerf.

What? That is what the PTB is for.
Yes. But it's been the same ever since. It was out from the PTB. It was a bad excuse. You read that wrong.

Or.. Hear me out... It existed in the Live Version because they thought they had fixed it at that point. Just to, and really big shock coming, not actually fix it properly.
The devs, not fixing something fully, thats nonsense.
Personally, I had not played the ptb or first released Oni, and I have no issues ending loops as him.
Get the broken flick control out of your mind and stop complaining. Just learn the new one and guess what, you will see that he can still end loops just fine.
I like how you go to "okay, hear me out."
to
"get good."
-
Honestly, it's a bad excuse of it.
If it wasn't intended, then it shouldn't of been out of the PTB version to the live version. It needs to come back, because Oni is horrible at loops, now.
-
Oni is weak on console, now. Even worse. The flick is honestly needed. It's a skill gap as well, on Console. I wish developers would give it back. Because in his power, his sucks.
-
Slowing down gens?
Nah, devs clearly want survivors to be strong as ever.
All gens can be completed in 4 minutes. That's a joke.
-
The fact that I'm a killer, and the survivors come to bully me is funny.
The real power role is there.
-
Nerf was a lazy fix.
Let's not make the add-ons stack, just nerf the penalty.
-
@Peanits said:
Have you considered combining it with other effects? Toss on swing chains and you've got up to 12%. Thanataphobia can add up to another 16% (total of 28%), and Dying Light can raise that up even further. And that's only considering action speed modifiers, you could also slap Ruin and PGTW on to slow generators down even more.
On it's own, it's no big deal. But stacking everything together makes it way too much.
If that's the complaining issue, then don't make the add-ons stack.
If you ask me, this is more of a lazy fix. If you combine them, yes. They are worse. You just said the issue. Don't make it stack.
-
Honestly, with the nerfs becoming consistent as hell, it's gonna make players leave.
Keys, Moris, gen-speed, Y'know.
The real issues at times?

People find the Doctor frustrating to go against?

I never used Omega and I have stopped playing her all together, I don't like walking around at 96% speed. Also it was nerf she now has a cool down on blink what are you even saying.
To me, it wasn't a nerf. I'm saying it wasn't. If you read it again, then you wouldn't have to say that.
I have no issues with her, still. She's still my main killer. But still, anyone claiming *this 100% killed her* isn't right. Because she can still do the same. So what?
-
I still main Nurse, she's fine the way she is now. She still has counterplay, and doesn't have those old addons that break her.
She's a bit more skillful now, if you relied on Omega blink every game, then you're gonna have issues with the new nurse. This is a fine adjustment, but the base power shouldn't of been touched. It's just addons that needed adjustment. She's perfectly fine. She's still the best killer without a doubt. This nerf was not even a nerf.
-
If they keep nerfing killers, then. They're gonna lose a lot of their playerbase.
