flying bricks aren't horror themed also because their only powers are flying and using their durability to bully everyone weaker you can't really do much with them

Ghostface has no real power except a knife and yet they did something with him. But if you want ideas of what to do with them, I just came up with two.

    Invincible isn't a horror show

its just a concept not meant to be fully serious (hence why its in creations and not suggestions), but if that really mattered we wouldn't have Vecna.

  • Yeah I really wish dbd would add some form of verticality to the gameplay, like some kind of killer that can fly. I just put a concept for sinister invincible on the creations forum but his power there would need a lot of invisible walls to be removed. We have killers that can rush fast but none that can actually properly leave the ground.

However, because of how entrenched the perks are in 1v4 I imagine it'd be like separating a dog from its ball and would turn a ton of players away.

lmao! I reckon this would be the main concern. It'd be the growing pains but as more players give it a shot and content creators hopefully shed a positively light on the gamemode… Over time players may seek refuge in such a mode after certain matches.

Wild idea but what if Killers actually come to love the mode more than Survivors. Imagine those Killers that deal with SWF who dominate the high mmr ladder. Those Killers along with others near high mmr may feel they can find a sanctuary in a class based system. Where there are no gen rushing builds! Hell I'd be 100% okay with not allowing items to be equipped but Survivors had to find items in the match. BHVR would just add more chests to the matches…

I think maybe just maybe those higher mmr killers would seek refuge in a class based system. As the high mmr would be more balanced and genuinely skill based. Killers would perhaps finally have the proper "advantage" they are supposed to have in high mmr as well.

Honestly, this does sound like a great casual mode tbh. In 2v8 the most fun part for me was figuring out the correct synergies with my friend. We settled on him playing shadow blight/billy and me playing enforcer nemesis/trapper/slinger to scrape up after him. This game is in dire need of variety so an additional mode with classes would be great. I imagine we'd have to wait for the finalised 2v8 for it tho.

I agree with you 100% on that… I was more so talking about killers who go out of their way to slug everyone.

I mean, its technically still a win for the killer. The survivors cannot escape from that, so they lose. It shouldn't matter if they abandon or not, they lost.

  • @AngelOfHope2017 said:

Solution: Hook survivors instead of slugging. I don't mean this in a rude or disrespectful way. However, if I can win killer games without slugging (as a survivor main), I am positive you (as a killer main) can win games without slugging. I believe in you!

Its called a snowball. Sometimes survivors group up around a hook and can all be downed with relative ease. Then as you go grab the hooks people can abandon. Its the survivors fault for not waiting for me to pick up whoever's on the ground, why am I punished for their mistake?

  • I agree, but I imagine it will be added to 2v8.

I would guess this is a typo... because it definitely makes no sense...

    probs just a poor decision

  • I love the 2v8 classes for both sides, and in a mode like that it works better than perks since killers and survivors don't need to figure out double the perks, just memorise classes. However, because of how entrenched the perks are in 1v4 I imagine it'd be like separating a dog from its ball and would turn a ton of players away. That said, I really think the devs were onto something with the 2v8 classes, it kinda needs more depth tho and some classes with more interesting mechanics than gen-rusher, looper and healer.

  • Its a good idea, bad execution. Like the survivor doesn't need to see the killer mori for it to be satisfying and they can go to the next game. But taking away a win for the killer (even if it doesn't directly affect the killers MMR) will affect the survivor. If you abandon each match and technically draw (mmr doesn't go up or down) then all that will happen is that bad survivors will just get killers they aren't ready for. I don't want some noobs going against my Dracula with no idea how to dodge. This will be an issue, especially for after the FNAF chapter it needs fixing now.

  • I think maybe this is too far. I think newer surv players need a mode where they can just load into a map and mess around. Like the one in the tutorial section, but with no killer and no bots. Doesn't even need to be a real map, could just be a barebones area where a Frankenstein's monster of tiles show up. That way they don't rely on their eyes, they rely on their brain and their knowledge of the tiles.

actually my opinion is those perks should be deleted and if you said as a consequence gen regression perks should be deleted i would take that deal since gen regression is mostly into the ground anyway with gen speeds being untouched and the only problem I have with camaraderie and mostly reassurance is that it can be used on different floors

well it is also not in the killers control due to the size of Gen placement of certain maps since on smaller maps and allow the survivors a free unhook they can just auto unhook themselves and if the hook placement is unlucky right next to a gen

the problems i have with this perk is the same i have with the 8 kick limit. if you understand how the mechanic works you can easily abuse it like for example i'd just start hanging out around the hooked person and just make him hang around the area or send him to the game or midwich and die in the area closest to the gens he's protecting with that perk and he's in a lose lose situation

I don't think taking away perks is a healthy way for the game to be run at all. rather than punish survivors for countering something the killer is doing, reward killers for not doing it unless they're desperate. Like the haste part of devour should be basekit so long as the hooks are on different survivors. That's just one way the killer could be rewarded, but its not the only way. But the gen kick limit is too low it should be like 12 or something.

Yeah I kinda worded that wrong. It doesn't do a ton unless a killer overly relies on aura reading, hence why I called it weak. This version sounds like a new players way to get familiar with aura reading to give them more time to act. Like if I'm playing bbq artist they can figure out that maybe they should avoid the birds. A nice way to teach them on the fly without holding their hands.

I wouldn't say weaker, and Distortion also isn't weak either.

It's more of a sidegrade, since you get significantly more information but there's no direct blocking.

I'd like these skins, but I'd actually prefer it as a chapter.

they could do a kind of half chapter with the skins. Besides Fred and Velma the others don't really have perkable qualities.

  • Idk why people are downvoting, sounds like a weaker distortion and that perk is already weak.

  • Please, I'm so sick of this event happening every five weeks.

  • sounds good but you'll definitely be playing a lot more survivor than killer.

  • I'd really like these classes:
Meme class with deception, diversion and maybe chem trap or something to help out in chase.

Treasure hunter class with the ability to rummage for unique items and possible gain bonuses for giving them to teammates or something.

And possibly a class that has access to two portals and can cross the map (not in chase tho)

  • I also got this but I wasn't hit by the attack I managed to avoid the hit around an obstacle.
