Brings us back to the question: would pennywise work? he and the entity are sorta the same... species?

Yeah, im not 100% sure how it would work, it's more of a dream than a chapter I would hype up. But it would be cool to see him one day .

Do us all a favour and share your opinion in one of the HUNDREDS of threads already created about this instead of people creating new ones every five minutes to say the EXACT same things. It might as well be spam at this point.

You're completely entitled to share your opinion, although the search feature exists for a reason. Before creating new posts, search to see if someone has already posted about the topic. If so, comment on that thread - a new one isn't needed.

These are the DbD forums, not the FNaF fanclub forums.

I'm missing the point I feel. I'm an active user of the forums and I post more than just fnaf things. I am a concept creator that, yes, has made fnaf concepts, but has made many other concepts as well. I just wanted to share an opinion man.

  • I would love to see a Pennywise chapter man.

    There's another aspect to this:

Look how... insistent... you and other fnaf fans are about it... Cross your heart, how many would get seriously angry if bhvr would not turn springy into some unbestable godmode killer?

That said, can I ask you a question:

Would you be okay with getting Willy's Wonderland instead of fnaf?

I wouldn't care. I would just want him included. I love fnaf and just want to see a franchise I love in a game I love.

    Read the room.

    Use the search feature. PLEASE.

There's already hundreds of threads JUST like this one. With ALL of the same reasonings; we've heard it ALL before. Hundreds of times.

These threads NEVER end well and just cause fighting. The constant reiterating of old, tired points and rehashing the same arguments is EXACTLY why people don't want FNaF in DbD.

This is for reasonable discussion I'm not gonna reply to people if a they want to do is slander each other. I know threads like this exist, but the forums are for sharing opinions, and I'm sharing mine. Just because others have the same opinion doesn't mean mine is irrelevant, I have the right to share my opinion like you are. It's fine if you don't like these threads, just ignore them.

So, the story as to why everything happens is... interesting, to say the least. I heard people tell it to me, though I had my teeth grit the whole time, long story, but it's not hatred.

It has an interesting premise, but the issue stems from the fact that it's buried and all over the place instead being more laid out.

So, you have to a LOT more searching in order to have a more clearer understanding and it's more obnoxious to go out of your way to learn this info.

I have a significantly easier time understanding RE's lore, Silent Hill's lore, and Evil within, and those games are crazy.

Most of the interesting lore is just buried deep into random events, niche options, and file exploration instead of it being a more laid out path.

If it wasn't such a genuine pain to learn, I think it'd be more welcoming, because right now it's sabotaging it's own lore by putting itself as a Jumpscare game

Well I can agree that it is complicated but thats why I love it. Idk why but ADHD probably helps. The fact that there are so many unsolved points and so many hidden things and Easter eggs is just fun to me. I get why people dislike it, 100%, and I'll admit that the enjoyment from the lore more recently has become more ironic, because tbh the lore is pretty bonkers now. But I grew up with the game and it's just special to me.

  • @MeltingPenguins said:

There's one big thing (aside from many small ones) that disqualifies fnaf from dbd:

    No feasible gameplay.

I've seen dozens of threads like this, some musing about perks, morie, outfits, maps design... but rarely gameplay.

Lately we had three killers in a row that were quite lackluster. Although you can view Nemesis as a beginner's killer, trickster and twins are still low tier, regardless how you play.

But they all bring something to the table. springy? what would he do? he has nothing. fnaf is all stress and jumpscares, so how would you NOT have him be a carbon copy of Ghostie? Hag? Michael?

I have seen a few ideas for his powers but they all... made him a plain, dull iWin button. invisible stealth killer with an insta down (this commonly popped up) sometimes immune to spinechill? who combines wraiths cloaking (thus seeing survivors) with spirit's insta uncloak?

    how is that fun?

There's good ideas for so many other characters, horror and other franchises alike that would make for interesting gameplay. but for fnaf I have yet to see something that wouldn't insist on some godmode, unbestable killer.

I have a concept that I remade (tho tbh I prefer the old one) if you want to check it out. I'm sure there is some stuff they could do. I mean they made Freddy fit in (granted I hate how they implemented him, his power is way too weird and unfitting) so I'm sure Springtrap wouldn't be too hard. I made my old Springtrap concept before Blight and it is pretty similar to him, but I feel like there is still potential there. But I understand your point.

  • @feruis said:

Would like to get some other licenses first

We already have quite a few, which ones in particular do you want?

  • @HealsBadMan said:

I've said this in another thread, but whenever people say FNAF is a kids game I remind them: lots of kids play GTA and Call of Duty, and lots of adults play Pokémon and Animal Crossing. People like what they like, so don't ruin it for them. As for the kids, its really their parents fault letting them play mature games- developers can only do so much.

You're absolutely right on the lore BTW. Legion is a group of rebel teens who committed 1 murder. Killers like Plague and Wraith unknowingly murdered dozens/hundreds, making them less evil than a serial child killer. Springtrap's lore is on par with Myers, Clown, and Freddy for how screwed up and truly 'evil' it is. You think the aesthetic doesn't fit DBD either? The game where we have Chicken and Elephant clown, a K-Pop idol as a Killer, Ronnie the Rabbit outfits for Legion (cmon, these are practically the same as FNAF) as well as the various Survivor outfits that have no place being in a horror game. We stopped treating this as a 'seriously scary' game a long time ago.

There is so much potential when FNAF crosses over with DBD, they're arguably the most popular horror games of our time next to Silent Hill and Resident Evil (at least the most popular non-Japan based horror game). Cosmetics for multiple killers, not just Springtrap, are possible with their powers and abilities.

Thank you. This is better said than I ever could.

  • @Jago said:

    Markiplier as a survivor plz.

Well this is something I didn't know I needed and now need it more than oxygen.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

    I agree.

One more point i'd like to add is that if DBD is the "Hall of Fame of Horror", Five Night's at Freddy's definitely fits. It's the most successful and popular indie franchise horror game series ever. And the reason why there's so many fnaf fan games. Is because the concept and execution was done very well. The original game is extremely tense. In my heart, it's a masterpiece.

Great point! I never really thought about that.

  • @doitagain_ said:

"Only daily"? What did you expect? They're not going to spend more time setting up a puzzle for us to solve than they need to. The time gates are so they can actually focus on the game instead of dedicating a small team to coming up with a unique puzzle to be solved. Even if they did so, it'd be solved almost instantaneously, given the hundreds of thousands of players.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2423800#Comment_2423800

As people have said repeatedly, you don't have to keep up with it if you don't want to.

Did you not read the whole thing? I said I would be okay with it daily, but they mix non teasers with teasers and it ruins the fun and is stupid.

"There isn't any way of knowing what letters or what symbols go in what order. "

Uh, lol bro thats kind of the puzzle part, knowing what order to put the letters in

It could've been better if they didn't release the stupid Cats and Dogs collection trailer and other non teaser media. But I feel it would've been alright if the released it in order, so that way the non teaser stuff could contribute to the puzzle, by making people think they may have missed a letter, or something idk, im just annoyed how they handled it.

  • @GentlemanFridge said:

It'd be kinda lame if it was in order. We'd have very solid guesses with only 3 letters. This one's solution was in contention until the E dropped, and even then some were still thinking it was the controversial bunny man.

That is a good point, but it was more of they were being really bad with it. The have normal things being tweeted with teaser things, and they don't mix well. I'm sure there are like hundreds of people who rewatched the cats and dogs collection over and over looking for another letter.

  • @smappdooda said:

I bet you'd be fun to play an escape room with...

What's that supposed to mean? In an escape room it's in the moment and the clues are everywhere around you. You have the ability to find what you want, you just need to figure out what's fake and what isn't.

This is like going into an escape room for 10 minutes, then having to wait a day to go in for another 10 minutes.

  • @bm33 said:

They've done cryptic teasers before revealing chapters multiple times. They start revealing hints that could be anything, people start guessing and it stirs up hype for new chapter with very little effort on BHVRs part. They're actually using their social media in a way to make it worth following, not just posting sales promotions or rare announcements for patches.

Ok that's my bad, I may have not joined in before they did the cryptic messages, that is 100% my wrongdoing. I just wanted to say that I'm not really hyped as much as I am irritated. I want to know who the killer is, but they teased them in the most annoying way possible.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

Okay but to be fair you can just ignore it and wait for the official reveal trailer. It's not as bad as the Overwatch "Sombra ARG" at least.

You are right, however I am curious about the puzzle, its just not fun to solve.

  • @Huge_Bush said:

You don’t have to follow their social media if you’re not enjoying it. Just wait for the reveal.

I'm genuinely curious about the puzzle, I just think its poorly executed and could've been done better.

  • @Orion said:

I enjoy it because I'm naturally drawn to puzzles.

I am really glad you enjoy it, I'm not trying to say that people can't enjoy it, I just personally dislike it. I enjoy a good puzzle as well, just the way they are doing it annoys me.

  • @UncleStabby said:

    'Stop cyrptic teaser, brain hurty.'

They can tease however they want. Kinda a weird thing to complain about, imo.

It's not that I have an issue with confusing teasers, I am a huge fan of the fnaf series and confusing teasers is a big part of what makes those games special to me. The teasers here are just cluttered, and not fun to try to decode, because as I said, we only get them daily, making it super long and tedious.

    Ability:

Haywire - pretty useless, because moving at 4.8m/s is not a big deal + he gets a stun afterwards + he is only at 4.4m/s when he isnt using it, although he has no real power (why 4.4? he has no strong power like spirit or huntress, this power is trash)

Springlock Machinery - so this ability is made for tunneling - terrible (does the survivor lose the status effect when the bar is empty?)

    Perks:

Hex: I Always Come Back - the 1 token reward is pretty useless, the 3 tokens reward is very strong, the 5 token reward is just Cruel Limits (Demogorgon Perk, which is completly #########) + you dont have to do anything to get the tokens, besides playing bad (like Noed), which is terrible

    Eternal Rage - okayish

Afton Robotics - completely useless, the gens dont even lose progress, they just swap (why)

Okay, your point are valid, and I'm not going to write an essay saying why you are wrong. I'm not that type of person, but I just want to say you are wrong about Afton Robotics. That perk can force a 3 gen and not only save you time in the late game, you can confuse survivors and win the game. Tho the power is underwhelming.l I'll admit.

I made an account just to reply to this post. How ridiculous to assume your subjective opinion. I would have rather have had 1. Xenomorph 2. Chucky 3. The Thing than this chapter. Resident Evil would have been 3rd on my list, but know knowing how it turned out (underwhelming for me), he drops to 4th.

Resident Evil might have brought in new players, but it's the retention, and new content that will keep the game growing. Many fans of the RE series will leave, only leaving real fans of the game.

Think of it like a gallon of water. You fill it with one quart (new content), dump out half a quart (people leave post release), then refill it again with another quart (new content again). The gallon keeps getting fuller.

It's not my opinion. Those two franchises are the most hyped. There are several other killers I also want in DbD, hell, I would like Fiddlesticks from Leauge of legends in the game, but that probably won't happen as that's not a hyped crossover. Resident Evil was also incredibly hyped. They could release other franchise crossovers,, im not saying the wont, they just eventually have to bring out the big guns soon to top Resident Evil. Also why did you create a second account? Just use your first one.

Dude, I am a massive fan of Fnaf and think that this game is sorely lacking fnaf characters. Tbh, Springtrap isn't the only one I would like to see, he's probably the best option, but others like Ennard would work incredibly well.

  • @Bradyguy99 said:

Who says they can't do Resident Evil Chapter 2? Add Mr. X or another killer with a new map.

Because A) That would cause alot of anger and be called lazy, as well as just not be as interesting as a new chapter, and B) BHVR cares alot about money, so they wouldn't make another liscened chapter off the same franchise because it wouldn't bring as much new players.

  • @CashelP14 said:

"This is not a discussion about whether those franchises should or shouldn't come to DbD, this is simply me saying that these franchises will attract the most people. God I'd love Bill from Left 4 Dead in this game

There are still plenty of killers that could come. I only mentioned this because plenty of people seem to want more Left 4 Dead. Also that was alot of quoting just to get one point across.

  • Shoot, that was a typo. I meant just the last two chapters. I've been talking liscences alot and got things mixed up.

  • @[Deleted User] said:

I don't think an original chapter is any "riskier" than a licensed one. There will be people that like and dislike it. I think this discussion is overthinking things a bit.

With how hard the recent two chapters flopped, it is risky. I don't anyone is overthinking anything. BHVR was on a cold streak. Now they have more people than ever. They have nowhere else to go but down. Its just common logic.

  • Hag/Legion main here. I want Hags transition between traps to be much easier. It can be really weird sometimes.

Legion I want a completely rework.

  • I could literally go on for hours about how this isnt a children's game. You clearly know nothing if you think this game is "for kids". Kids play it, because parents and the kids don't know what the games are about. If you knew half the things about the game you would change your opinion. Kids play DbD but it doesn't mean its a kids game. The game just caught on with kids, but is not advertised/ment to be played by children.

  • @Axx said:

Forget FNAF, or any new content tbh. They should work on fixing things and changing the stale meta before they release more new content. The meta has been almost 100% the same for 3 years at least. They need to nerf every meta perk into the ground and buff old perks, along with with addressing the communities concerns. All new content does is bring new problems. The game needs an "operation health" type update.

The Fnaf thing was a joke, but yes, I do agree with you. Stop making new unfinished content, and start fixing content you already have.

  • @Gore_Nargai said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/1888678#Comment_1888678

First of all it's a franchise that came out as a meme and social trending.

It has a lot of entries, being all the same, just a way to printing money, the developer has never done a single good game aside from the same formula of point an click, is garbage.

    Its main audience are kids.

It's like asking slenderman to come to DBD.

Ok, First, the game is not a meme. Ok well it kind of is, but it isn't a meme as a whole. The fnaf fanbase is surprisingly more mature than you think. When the first game came out, it was 2014, 6 years ago. Kids who were 10, 11, 12, are now 16, 17, 18. Me and most of my friends still are interested in the games.

Now the tons of entries being all the same is just completely wrong. Fnaf 1 is a classic, that introduced and idea that has never been seen before amongst horror. Fnaf 2 followed that up almost perfectly by adding more animatronics, more threats, more lore, and the best part is that they removed the doors. You no longer feel safe. Fnaf 3 is my personal favorite of the games. Instead of a bunch of animations coming after you, its just one. You have to follow only one animatronic, and its much more threatening, because unlike the other games, once it reaches your door, you're dead. Fnaf 4 is completely different, but thats obvious so I won't go on. Fnaf world is the best thing to ever happen to the gaming world. Fnaf Sister Location, again, is completely different. I like this one alot, but it sacrificed alot of gameplay for lore reveals. Fnaf Pizzeria Simulater is the best tycoon I've ever played, and still manages to be scary, as well as being mainly for lore. This is probably my second favorite game. And UCN is a clusterfluff, and yet, much harder than any game that came before it. Help Wanted, is STILL somehow much different than the others games.

Hes not making games for money, he's putting all of his effort into making a good game, and people love it.

I doubt I have changed your mind, I mean, you are a person on the internet, but honestly, give these games another try, for real.

  • @TrevorLahey93 said:

Hopefully you are a killer main. All my killer main friends and me have also left. The goal is to get it to a point where no killers are left so survivebabys have nothing to play against.

I was kind of both. If I had to pick one side I usually would pick survivor, but I was never toxic, I usually ran off meta perks, or tried out funny builds. The only meta perks I would run is Sprint Burst or Decisive, but I wouldn't run them both in one build.

But I understand what you mean, I hate toxic survivors.

  • @Hoodied said:

I just feel like that final part was not necessary, it kinda just makes the whole entire reason why you are taking a break seem as "devs don't listen to the community, rank bad fix, and I didn't get what chapter I want", like for example

I want an Outlast chapter in the game, however we have such a tiny chance at that happening, but I don't like the game anymore because its stressful to play as killer and survivor is kinda boring in solos

I was just joking when it came to that, while I would love a fnaf chapter, that's not why I'm taking a break. Tho if they do add a fnaf chapter my break will instantly end. But the third point was mainly made for comedy.

  • @TheStabbiNAngeL said:

I wonder if I've ever posted one of these " this why I'm taking a breaks"

    I believe, I just do it .

I do it in case I can point out to people some bigger issues, and maybe BHVR will look at titles like these and realize that people are taking breaks because they aren't running their game right.

Also because I was bored and decided to make it.

  • @Shirokinukatsukami said:

People get tired/bored of playing a game sooner or later. Is normal. It's normal to take breaks and come back to the game later.

Some people like to say it's because they are fed up with the game's developers not listening to the community. Bollocks to that. Developers don't need to listen to the community, especially one as whiny and entitled as this one. It's a nice thing, but more important is for developers to maintain their vision of a game and bring it to fruition.

Don't worry someday the devs will have a brain fart and do a teddy bear chapter. Until then the rest of us will be happy they don't.

I Dont mean concepts, and while it would be nice, I'm more concerned about them seeing what people are complaining about. Every community, legit, every community is said to be "Toxic" or "Entitled", and yes, every community has its bad apples, the DbD community has some really great people.

  • @Gore_Nargai said:

Hahahaha bro, i thought you were talking serious until i saw the last part about the "Fnaf chapter", you got me not gonna lie, glad you are enjoying the game.

I dont understand why people are so against a fnaf chapter, honestly. I can understand wanting another chapter more, but the amount of hate that idea gets is way too extreme.

Hey there, don't know who you are, but I didn't use anything similar to yours on purpose. If you wish to know where I got the idea for killers power, it is taken directly from the actual bioshock wikia.

    https://bioshock.fandom.com/wiki/Bouncer

    Attacksedit | edit source

When in combat, the Bouncer will produce three different kinds of attack:

    • Drill Slam: In this attack, the Bouncer slams the ground with its drill, causing a tremor in the surrounding area and disorienting anyone in the radius. Usually the Bouncer will follow this up with a Charge; the foe will often be too sluggish to avoid it.
    • Drill Punch: This is the Bouncer's basic attack, it is accomplished when it drills into its foe. If against a Splicer, the victim is killed instantly. In the case of the player, the attack deals a severe amount of damage, killing the player if they are low on health.
    • Charge: If the victim is far from the Bouncer, it will charge at them at high speed. This knocks the foe back, dealing them damage in the process. In the case of the player, they will also have their camera swung around and temporarily blurred, momentarily disorienting them.

That is his power from the actual game.

I don't steal from others. I put effort into my work, so I don't appreciate such accusations, especially when the only similarity is the power that arrives from the actual game. Difference is mine is closer to it. Thank you very much.

Ok, I'm sorry. I have no clue what I was thinking. Probably just because I saw someone else doing a Bioshock concept and it was better made and was taking attention away from me. That wasn't the reason I did that, but something along those lines was probably going on in my head. I'm really sorry, idk what I was doing. I actually feel like an idiot.

  • I have plenty that don't get seen either. You gotta just keep creating and stop complaining.
