Dead Hard has always been one of the most problematic perks in the game, and they finally managed to make it fair.The perk is fine in its current state, it doesn't need any more changes.
-
They already tried to implement the Unbreakable basekit and it didn't work out very well, they had to revert it. Besides, they've already shown with data that slug is not a very common thing, so it doesn't matter.
-
Nah, in my opinion it's fine the way she is, maybe just increase the power's cooldown a little.I've played against her several times and haven't seen any problems, dodging the dog isn't that difficult, and playing against her on pallets is the same as playing against a Huntress/Alien/Nemesis, etc.I would say it's even easier, because there's a trick that a lot of people don't know, but in some safe pallets you just have to wait for her to throw the dog first and then you drop the pallet, it's not that difficult... And I think the duration of the dog's grab is fair, considering that it's quite difficult to use the dog, especially in some loops.

Bring in Unbreakable, which is single use, and you're looking at a two-perk investment that STILL isn't efficient. It's not like you get off the hook and immediately bodyblock, you have to chase after the killer and find a spot to intercept, and you cannot do -anything- to help the survivors in the meantime or DS goes poof. This means that from the moment of unhooking until the point where the survivor has gotten back up by expending their one use of Unbreakable, that survivor was dead weight.
I do not understand how that's a problem.
Unbreakable is not efficient with DS? Okay, bro. Better stop here, I believe you are kind of new to the game and don't understand how it works yet.But I recommend you watch some competitive matches, and you will see why DS is banned in most competitions.

You still need the killer to pick you up, you can't force that in any way, thus it still requires killer co-operation.
The whole 'aggressive use' thing doesn't work if the killer just leaves them slugged, as it's little more than a survivor willingly incapacitating themselves for free, and possibly even drawing another survivor off a gen in order to pick them up. It's a huge risk, and unless the killer picks up, it's no pay-off.
Don't hit spacebar and DS doesn't help.
Yes, but obviously you'll use Unbreakable along with the DS in case the Killer slugs you. In any case, it is still an extremely broken perk if used correctly, in all situations the killer loses.The amount of ways you can use the perk to your advantage makes the stun duration an obsolete aspect.

If you only look at the perk when it's at optimum function, you're going to miss a lot of context. DS wasn't strong at all at 3 seconds, and it wouldn't be a strong perk at 5 seconds, simply for the fact that it requires the killer's co-operation to fire.
If some survivor perk required the killer to move to the corner of the map and then stare into a blank wall for five seconds on end to fire, but it gave you three completed gens in exchange, would that be a strong perk?
Incorrect, you don't need the killer's cooperation for it to work, because you can use the perk aggressively to bodyblock, as many survivors do.
-
Are you really crying over an addon that removes two of her traps and only works well on indoor maps? My God. She's still one of the worst killers in the game even with this addon, and two less traps takes away a lot of her map pressure.

They gain a condemned stack each time they turn off a TV. That's another consequence.
Yes, but when the survivor hands over the tape, he removes 3 stacks at once,so you can turn off 3 of her TVs along the way and pretty much leave half the map without power for her. It's pretty dumb.

The fix to this in the PTB will still allow crouching to happen when there's a bigger difference in heights, the fix is so that the power cannot be crouched on the majority of areas but if there's an area where there's a big variation in heights - stairs for example, the survivor can still crouch to avoid the hit.
Oh, thanks for clearing that up. I thought crouching in high elevation areas to avoid the hit was unintentional. So it was just fixed when the survivor crouches in the "corner" of the special attack on open areas, right?

Thank god, hopefully the devs come to their senses. Removing Crouch tech from S tiers just makes the game so much worse.
But there are weaker killers that suffer from this, like the Demogorgon.

Terrible news for the heal of the game. Crouch tech adds a skill element that just made the game so much better.
So why did they remove Hugtech? That was fair, right?

I should have stopped reading when you mentioned Windows of Opportunity, why did I keep reading? It just kept getting worse

You have Lightborne. Boom Countered. Killers dont like bully squads, survivors dont like getting slugged.
So the person has to use a perk that is super meme just to be able to counter something that should normally have a counter?

@bleep275 said:
So the twins isnt a very good killer, i will admit that. The devs made an attempt to change the twins but it wasnt implemented because it made the slugging problem worse.
so my soultion is….
just activate deep wounds or something. That way it would give slow down. Make it so a second or third pounce debuffs the survivor until healed.
im just so tired of bleeding out against them. Just had a 4 man bleedout. even when victor was destroyed and they were ontop of us...no hooks.
At least basekit unbreakable. I want to have fun and not lay on the ground for 4 minutes doing nothing.
I don't think it's a good idea, it would basically be another useless Legion that only gives mending and has nothing else after that.

if killer reveals survivors they should be notified about it like with weave or with hud like in 2v8, so we will stop thinking that killer has a wh
Horrible idea, that way you wouldn't even need to use other perks to know what aura readings the killer has, it wouldn't make any sense in normal mode. Second, the aura reading perks are precisely to try to catch the survivor off guard, so it would not make sense if the survivor knows that his aura is being read.
-
I completely disagree, in fact, most maps favor survivors, very few favor killers.

Dodging isn't a bug, if that's the case many games with the dodge mechanic is inherently a bug.
The topic was about crouch teching, yet we get led into a form of whataboutism — but sure, bring back hug techs and people will adapt to crouch tech your M2.
Crouch tech is not dodging, it is taking advantage of the killer's hitbox error that is stuck vertically to make a hit that was supposed to connect not happen. You can take advantage of low relief in some areas of the map to crouch and make the killer miss the power, even though he is clearly in front of you, so yes, crouch tech is a bug.
-
@AlexXHunter44 said:
I consider it a feature not a bug. It's not an easy thing to pull off at all and shows a great deal of skill expression from survivors. It's not like you can just crouch anywhere at any time and it misses, you actually have to precisely time it in most cases and be at the correct elevation on the map compared to the killer.
So if you consider a bug a "skill expression" then they should bring hugtechs back.

@Mandy said:
Is this still an issue with today's hotfix, as the problem was resolved in 8.4.2?
Yes, I can confirm that it is still not doing its characteristic noise when the flashbang is dropped on the ground, it happened to me today. The survivor dropped the flashbang right in front of me and I didn't hear any noise.
-
@jmwjmw27 said:
Nemesis' power being crouchable is not a bug (and you cannot simply crouch in front of him to dodge a hit, if you miss a crouching survivor in the open you just missed). As for the other three, you probably won't see a fix for the crouch tech for a long time considering the average dev turnaround on bugs.
Yes, I know that, it's more specific to windows and some structures, that even though you have a view of the survivor he simply crouches and he doesn't get hit.
-
They should increase the punishment for DC, the amount of survivors quitting matches lately is gigantic, and they don't have any punishment for it, they just wait 1 minute in the lobby and they are already looking for another match.
-
For God's sake, man. Just move away from the trail and she loses her speed, I didn't see any problem with that, very rarely will you be able to use it in a chase, it depends more on the survivor than on you.
-
I didn't really like the idea, too risky, it would probably go on the list of perks that are never used.
-
I rarely play against killers who are slugging, so it's a matter of personal experience, but in general, Unbreakable basekit wouldn't be a good idea and they've tried to do that, and it didn't work very well.

It does 95% of the time. Maybe you lose to perk power differences or map rng on rare occasion, but most matches come down to mindset and skill.
I disagree with you, the game is defined by the skill of the survivors, if they play badly, you have a chance to win. If they play well, you don't stand a chance, at least with most killers who are weak. The game is more about generator efficiency and Shift W

If you lost, you played poorly. That's how losing works.
Yeah... This game definitely doesn't work like that, even if you play well you can lose the match, it happens all the time.
-
My God, when I think I've seen everything in this community, I end up being more and more surprised. Let the survivor choose which killer he doesn't want to play against? And are you seriously going to put Wraith on the list? One of the weakest killers in the game, I can only believe this post is a bait.

@ad19970 said:
I really don't think this perk should be buffed, considering when it procs it removes any form of counterplay the survivor could have. A longer duration would simply mean the likeliness of survivors having 0 counterplay after getting hit would be higher.
"There is no counterplay". "Dissolution active", survivor: hold W and escape the loop. Sure...

Nobody brings this perk and would bring it even after this change.
Literally you have to go to endgame (1) to have any value from it and someone must be hooked (2). Killers also tend to facecamp (3) to secure a kill, so when I play with my friends I'm not unhooking them in Endgame and they aren't unhooking me because 1k is better than 2/3k and often by overaltruistic actions it ended up in unnecessary kills.
Also via Nightlight:
In the last 14 days, 0.98% of Survivors have had it equipped making it the 74th most used Survivor perk in that time. Scroll down for more stats.
Nobody is using this perk.
No one using it doesn't mean it's weak, this perk was already strong because it unhooked the survivor very quickly, and depending on the killer he couldn't do anything, besides the speed that the survivor receives. Now with the buff, you unhook almost instantly, and the survivor gains 10% speed, becoming 4.4. If they revert the Thrill buff, it's only fair to revert the NLB buff as well.
-
I think this might not be a bug, maybe the Jagged Compass perk activates before Floods of Rage/Gift of Pain

the fact that she played poorly the entire match is not our problem, the game should not encourage this and now we should just leave the last survivor because of this?
I don't see a problem, each killer has their specific strengths, and hers and some other killers' strengths is to guarantee a kill on the hook. If the save is risky, don't save, there's no problem with the killer have one more kill.
-
I didn't understand the bug, and I didn't see any problem with it. There are several killers in the game that can also prevent a save, so if you know that saving is risky, don't save
-
@DeBecker said:
How does it punish a killer that plays nice?
I thought I made it clear in the post, but I'll explain. If the killer is not camping the hook, the survivors will be able to use the perk freely without any punishment, until you arrive on the hook, the exposed survivor will be long gone, that's what happened to me. So you basically lose a kill from a survivor who would be on the last hook because you were not camping and there's nothing you can do about it. So this just forces the killer to camp the hook instead of going out and chasing other survivors.

We cannot tag devs in comments, it go against forum rules, delete it before a mod sees it.

I can't say, but I don't think so, since this mechanic is available to be used freely and voluntarily.
-
@Vishlumbra said:
I think that mechanics that allow players to decide what to do are good. I am not saying is a nice thing to do, but I rather have it than not. Idk if it makes sense.
Yes, but this ruins the game for other players, even more than abandoning the match, because by abandoning the match you at least have a bot, even though it's horrible to play with on your team.

You cannot crouch behind any window anymore, tried in custom in all the realms
Well then I hope this is not a bug because he needs it.
-
Unfortunately I don't think this is a bug, the Flashbang works in a blast radius, different from the flashlight, so even if you catch it looking at the wall it can blind you if you drop in the right timing.
-
This is not a bug, there are some lower windows that you can't avoid by crouching.
-
I hope the flick after Scamper isn't a bug, because he really needed it, it was horrible not being able to flick after passing under the pallet because the survivor just stayed in the corner and you couldn't do anything.
-
They will never fix this problem, this has been in the game for years and they never cared about it. They call it "crouch tech".
-
No, friend. This bug happened a while ago; they fixed it and came back again in the last patch.
