Rank 1 survivor on PS4 and have played enough to finish the first rank of the rift. Have only seen two nurses during that (both red ranks) and they got 2Ks each. Still scary but definitely feel better about juking LOS blockers. Didn’t see any crazy add on combo either unfortunately
-
Stbfl, Infectious, Dark devotion, discordance. You know where everyone is and add pressure in a variety of scenarios 😍
-
Dance with me: the jukes can be real with this perk it’s so fun! Made me fall in love with Kate 😍
-
It’s a slight nerf to pharmacy solo but combined with other perks it’s a big buff. Pharmacy is my favorite healing perk as is the green medkit being my favorite healing item. I was very worried and upset at first but it encourages more perk synergy/perk variation. Now very intrigued as to effective they will be.
-
I’ve been playing this game for years and have faced many a spirit with strong addons buddy plus play her myself. Think I know what I’m talking about
-
She could have easily went on the right side of the bus where there is no grass. That doesn’t prove anything you need to be in a KYF and have it be controlled.
-
Umm grass does move during a phase walk check your facts dude. That’s a balance check of spirit
-
SB won’t help you if you get gen grabbed but you should be paying attention to footstep sounds as well as movements of crows/grass once you know they have the add on. Once you see those queues, you know you should sprint away or start getting ready to. If you think you deserve to know every jump scare tactic in the game from the start, then you shouldn’t be playing this game.
-
Prayer beads are countered hard by awareness perks and escape perks. Spine chill, SB, iron will, Q&Q, etc. If you don’t have a lot of perks unlocked use spine chill, it is helpful in a majority of any match.
-
I think legion is very fun even if most of his add ons aren’t terribly useful (I use power recovery, mend speed, and frenzy duration, four total). Survivors tend to either troll you if you miss your FF attack or they give up if you’re stabbing everyone. He does give the killer a lot of info with FF that’s why I love him. If it’s a small map and you’re good with FF. You’ll know where every blendette is 🤓
-
I changed my sensitivity for killer on PS4 and it made a huge difference on my successful attacks. But I play M1 killers mostly maybe that’s a difference
-
Spine chill if you don’t have all the perks. It will give you more skill checks/more points and even more awareness combined with bond.
-
Three are balanced. BBQ and nurses should only proc once you figure out they have it giving you knowledge how to react in the rest of the match. Same for things all ears or territorial that you may not see as much. Gives you a lot of knowledge and an escape at that!
Use it with Babysitter btw and you both get to lose the scratch marks 😊
-
Legion: Infectious Fright, Sloppy, Discordance, STBFL
I’m using recovery speed/mend speed add ons and omg is it amazing. IF is so good on them I want to mix in dark devotion to mind mess with survivors 👻
-
Same for me on PS4 I’m getting connection lost as Survivior and error code 8,014 as Killer 🤷🏻♂️
-
start using escape perks and you’ll counter spirit hard.
SB, Q&Q, dance with me, iron will to name a few. IRON WILL is the ultimate counter
-
I’d vote pharmacy. Switched it out from self care way back when and never looked back 💚😍
-
Q&q, iron will, dance with me, lightfoot, fixated, lithe, urban, spine chill, premonition (any combo for getting away)
poised, sprint burst, technician, pharmacy, urban, spine chill, wake up, premonition (stealth those gens and get that door open fast with any combo)
-
They changed pigs TR so that you can make more plays with stealth. If you switch between your stealth when losing LOS and really mess with survivor awareness. It would be more difficult to pull off with 28 meter radius. They also said with the old radius we pig mains would just run to our objectives/survivors instead of using her mechanic. It’s for the better now IMO. Use Dark Devotion on her and your stealth plays will be even more vast it’s crazy.
-
I do anti carry/hook builds sometimes and it’s really fun. Even with perks, like someone said, you aren’t supposed to get off the shoulder all the time. Try these and see if you have more fun and see any differences.
1.) Decisive strike, Unbreakable, Boil Over, Flip-flop
2.) Saboteur, Unbreakable, Boil Over, Iron will (this works the most for me in making plays)
3.) Mix in perks like borrowed time, kindred, aftercare with the above.
-
Use iron will and then you’ll start getting one hit down killers lol
-
Survivor: better together (new favorite gen perk omg), dance with me, pharmacy
killer: discordance, surveillance, dark devotion (very underrated perk don’t know why people do use it more)
-
23,000 shards saved from that biker Kate outfit.. so definitely ready to buy a chapter for free the next times it’s an original one lol
-
Demogorgon is so fun to go against as survivor. You don’t know if he’s baiting a lunge or not if they are good but you can bait stuff too similar to a billy chainsaw. Great mind game potential on both sides they did a good IMO
-
Ghost face, it is spot on with the movies 😍
-
Better together is an amazing perk! My favorite perk of Nancy’s great gen build perk addition
-
Vigil is an awesome perk if you’re a survivor who likes stacking exhaustion perks or has a high success rate of losing the killer in a chase. Eight seconds can make a difference in play making and if used with aura reading perks, can help teammates in similar situations. All depends on the play style of survivor. Give killers more tools to provide status effects and vigil may feel more viable to more people.
-
Self care is a great beginner perk with little strategy to it. Inner strength gives some map advantages and encourages side objective play to slow the game down in another way. Would still love real side objectives!
-
Pig: loved her side objectives and her jump scare potential is awesome.
-
This is what happens when you get used to the game and stop using meta perks. Makes the game much more fun. Recommend continuing to try different builds and perks you may be underestimating. Well done in improving your game experience
-
Let new players enjoy the fear of playing. It wears off once you play the game enough and then becomes a whole new experience. The reason this game is alive is because of the amount of time you can invest and get completely different experiences. My favorite is feeling of horror. Wish I could get that feeling as often as back then!
-
I was so upset.. I’m not buying any more auric cells for cosmetics after this.. wish it was shown beforehand which ones with be pay only. But they got my money doesn’t matter much.

You don’t want to buff the speed too much or remember will feel required. I am a Kate/Nea/Quentin main (love every one of their perks, yes boil over and streetwise too) and Quentin’s playstyle is more like a scout. He can get in and out quickly, help the team out then go hide. Pharmacy is way better as you get more experience in the game because you shouldn’t be wasting time in the game self caring multiple times regardless, and you can use the medkit on yourself or a teammate in a pinch (combine with botany, streetwise, or ace in the hole and your medkit is super duper!) Vigil does feel much less useful than it was before the exhaustion nerf but it is still incredible with Sprint burst. It’s not necessary with other perks but it has saved my life so many times by getting it back quicker (remember he’s a scout!). Last wake up, like I said earlier if you change the time speed it could be too powerful combined with perks such a spine chill and leader to where you could get the door open in about 12 seconds. That’s a nightmare to think about with almost no hope as killer and the developers probably want you on the edge if your for as much as possible during the game. The only thing I could think of is to buff the aura reading of the perk to not make it crazy. For example YOU get to see the aura of all nearby teammates while you are opening the exit gate. I do like the idea of it becoming an obsession perk even though Freddy was obsessed with Nancy not Quentin but that’s just details lol. Sorry for the long response I just love his perks a lot have thought a lot about how people think he’s underwhelming or any other non meta build for that matter. Be creative have fun! You don’t have to use dead hard, adrenaline, self care, DS to win. When I was playing everyday I’d get rank 1 every month using my three mains and making builds out of them. Good luck!
-
I have 17,000 shards saved for this outfit.. watch it will require cells 😩
-
End game: blood warden, stbtl, spirit fury, fire up
Gen protector: surveillance, discordance, thrilling tremors, PGTW (really really strong build in PS4 purple ranks I never play enough to get red)
Classic Pig: surveillance, make your choice, hangman’s trick, whispers/sloppy butcher (if you don’t have many perks)
Survivor Finder: BBQ, nurses, I’m all ears, discordance
One Shot Pig: make your choice, rancor, haunted grounds, devour hope.
Scary M1: stbfl, dark devotion, spirit fury, bamboozle
Hope you like one of these! She has a lot of flexibility don’t be afraid to try things!
-
Survivor: boil over, unbreakable, saboteur, iron will. Really fun anti hook build. If you have a toolbox you can 99% a portion of the map and make some amazing plays.
Endgame Pig: blood warden, STBFL, spirit fury, fire up. You get stronger as the game continues and getting rid of pallets along the way. Super fun and have gotten a bit of RBT traps to go off endgame because of people rushing the last gen and procing blood warden. Hilarious lol
-
Don’t forget you can stack the speed with other perks. Every 5% is a second off the timer.
spine chill, the injury perk, and if someone gives the door opener leader you’re set.
I love wake up and if you combo it with things like spine chill, aftercare, leader you’d be surprised how effective it now.
It’s also amazing endgame to fool killers with doors. You can hurry two lights on one door and run to the other while the killer thinks you’re still at the first. All depends on door spawns though.
-
Their base kit perks are their classes. It just isn’t spelled out like in rpgs. Consider it a fluid class system since survivors are just skins once you unlock perks to others. Same with killers but they have much more depth with their passives and abilities.
Giving survivors passives would give them a much more defined role and would give others an idea of what perks they could be running. But it’s a balancing act and would be hell to incorporate with all the perks already in the game. Maybe in DBD 2 later down the road survivors will have those.
-
I use a build similar but it’s just a sabo and anti slug build.
Boil over, unbreakable, saboteur/breakdown, flip flop/tenacity. I switch out the last twice depending on what items I’m bringing. It’s very fun but don’t let the killer see you saboing or you willing be tunneled hard. That’s what makes breakdown good if you’re caught in the act
-
I haven’t played nearly as much this patch as normal on PS4. I miss the music so much even in the character selection. I do appreciate hearing survivors better but sometimes the sound seems to cut out and frame rates seem to be going everywhere. Thought an update today’s but no 😩
-
I’ve been playing Ghostface and am in love. I understand some of the nerfs coming like being able to stalk already stalked survivors. But he is very effective and you definitely don’t need ruin been using discordance and omg it’s hilariously getting two exposes at a gen and then scatter like flys and boom boom down lol
-
Clown. PGTW and bamboolze are very fun perks to have and clown shuts loops down hard.
-
They are probably more focused on getting dedicated servers up this summer. I’ll take double blood points to level up Ghostface and I’ll take less stuff now if that means amazing stuff soon
-
Way too early to tell folks, give it a couple of weeks for killers and survivors to get better. Survivors are getting better already in the PTB and I’m sure everyone (including me) who watch those early videos are studying them like hawks to be good and prepared for the live version. Wasn’t going to buy this chapter but with the buffs and if they keep them, let’s go stalking Ghostface 👻 😬
-
Don’t change dance with me at all. Just add perks down the line that can’t do what you describe. Having a perk that can do it all or cover too many situations is how they become overpowered.
-
Recently played with diversion because just never have. Since no one uses it, it definitely has saved my life, or the life of a teammate, on more than one occasion. It’s really fun but the thing that stinks about it is that it’s useless against stealth killers if you can’t get TR stacks. I think it should get charges based on how physically close you are to the killer, not your duration in the TR.
-
Don’t one hook survivors and don’t just one hit down them. If you absolutely slaughtered and they didn’t do anything, you may not have pipped but you depipped every single one of those dead survivors.
-
Pig main here, the nerf to RBT at the end game isn’t so bad in my opinion. They really just nerfed her add-on to where you can have an extra trap. Maybe make it common but uncommon is still pretty cheap. I found I’m sliding to gen builds and end game with her now, but that’s not a bad thing. Perhaps give survivors some passive debuff while the trap isn’t triggered that doesn’t require add-ons? Love Love Love the new cosmetics coming for her as a side note 😊
-
I use it on my Plague, Pig, and Legion. Use it on shorter killers and you’ll get a scary advantage sometimes. Plague is funny since she’s so tall survivors aren’t expecting her to be a surprise lol
-
Get into Red Ranks every month as a solo survivor. The frustrations that’s mentioned are valid but you adapt to your games. I stopped being as altruistic as a solo player unless I’m running perks to give me map awareness for example. I don’t want to say “get good” but just try changing play styles.
