Uhhh where did I say I didn’t adapt? I’ve never used dead hard before or after it’s multiple nerfs? My current build is literally a healing build because I enjoy using a variety of builds so please don’t make assumptions when the topic of the thread is on how survivor nerfs are heavier than killer nerfs regardless of adapting to said nerfs.
You went on tirade about how survivor perks get nuked despite that not being the case.
It's very clear you just don't want any survivor nerfs and only killer nerfs. Which just comes across as a skill issue.

Average (expected) killer main response, and the nerfs were pathetic/ nothing on the scale of constant survivor perk obliterations which is the point of this thread. Killer nerfs do not equal survivor nerfs, with killer perks still being viable after said "nerfs" unlike surv ones.
I'm seeing Dead Hard and Iron Will a lot more now that MfT is out, because they work really well together. Survivor perks really weren't killed that much. But hey, stay mad that you fail to adapt to the balance changes.

I truly don’t understand why it’s still a mechanic. And I more so don’t understand why so many people complain about MfT when bloodlust is still a thing. If people think haste is such a problem then why do people still defend having bloodlust as a mechanic. 5% is huge when you’re already 15% faster than the survivors.
Most killers are actively using their powers at loops which resets the bloodlust timer. You would have to be playing someone like Trapper who doesn't necessarily have a power to use in chase in order to see bloodlust happening often.
There's the challenge to exposing survivors with the event power at BL1 and pretty much every killer I've seen tried to get it could have already gotten the hit. Bloodlusting really doesn't come up a lot.
-
The devs recently nerfed a bunch of regression perks and killers adapted. At some point you just have to realize that it's a skill issue.

I just wanna be able to join back if the servers or my wifi boot me out of the match. Give like a 5 minute window so we can restart and join back in the game, y'know?
As nice as it would be to rejoin of you lost connection, I don't see a reasonable way to implement it considering that you could have been sacrificed by then.
Rejoining works in games where you have a respawn system. But not so much when it's an elimination game.
-
It's the closest we have to a balanced map on both sides.
Though ultimately it comes down to how survivors prio the gens. Killer pretty much wins if survivors do salon gen first but survivors have a huge advantage if they keep it to last.
-
The devs said it takes them about a year to complete a chapter. Likely they've been busy doing stuff they already had planned and haven't gotten around to it.

whats the point of the penalty then ? if you dc you get bot game carries on still 5 players game is not lost benefits the killer aswell
The point is to not incentive people rage quitting.
-
The DC Bots are not meant to be a reward for d/cing. They are just there so the game isn't instantly down a person, because some people can't handle playing out games.
-
Dead Hard is still useful. It being limited to twice a match helps keep it fair.
-
I don't think you're alone. Once I had Lery's and RPD games back to back as Singularity I just gave up. Overcharge isn't even that impressive for the amount of effort it takes to get a single survivor infected long enough to teleport to.

not really if it disable 1/4 of the killers kit forever.
its 1/4 of the killer's kit vs 1-2/16 of the survivor's kit.
its basic math at this point, not hard to understand.
You're running a perk that disables itself naturally. You either have a survivor running No Mither or a survivor willingly running at you. Having Corrupt end sooner is not something you should really be concerned with at that point.
-
A survivor willing putting themselves into the dying state and using up their free instant heal at the start of the game is still good for the killer.
-
I'm not downloading a random zip file to view the video, but my guess is that everyone was either dead or had escaped and as the last survivor in trial you will instant die on hook so the game ends faster.
-
I like the new chapter adding sci-fi horror into the game. But the killer is so painful to play and the reward for trying to play through the frustration just does not exist.
-
I think nowhere to hide would be fine if the aura was centered around the gen. The fact it moves with the killer is what causes the problem.
-
Hangman's trick was nerfed

- Made ramp up more punishing.
Permanently Broken
So just No Mither, but with faster recovery from dying state and no built in Iron Will and you still leave blood. No killer is going to leave the permanently broken survivor on the ground long enough for them to pick themselves up unless they have no other choice.
You're just recreating the existing perk.
-
So you just want infinite unbreakable with no downside?
-
Jolt when released caused survivors on gens it hit to scream. It was something that was just removed without ever being stated in the patch notes and is unclear if this is a long standing bug fixed or a reemerging bug, as the devs have never stated how Jolt is intended to function.

It's not DH for distance because you can't get it anytime you want. You have 25% chance to get that effect. You can also get exposed while healthy. So using this perk while healthy in a chase is pretty stupid. So no it's not DH for distance when healthy.
You get 25% movement speed for 2 seconds at base with a 1/4th chance to have that extended to 4 seconds. It is Dead Hard for Distance when healthy.

Imagine being mad about a meme perk (some people don't like Blastmine buff), when there's a lot more RNG in game like gen spawn, survivors spawning all 4 in the same tile and killer having Lethal Pursuer, survivors spawning separately on gens, getting 4% lucky with your own unhook that are way more impactful and happen way more often.
Watching the perk in action more. It's just Dead Hard for Distance, but when healthy. It doesn't also need to have a chance to give survivors BNPs and Syringes.
It's hardly "just a meme perk".
-
The perk literally tells survivors it is active and they can turn it off when it's safe. I don't think this will be nearly a huge issue as you are making it out to be. Besides can you really say you would prefer killers to run current meta over a perk like ToT?

Chance of getting a BNP is 1/4 * 1/5 * 1/11 = 0.0045
How would anyone "farm BNPs" off a 0.0045 probability ? Not to mention it causes the exhausted status effect and can't be used while injured or exhausted.
Like there's no way you actually think that's a viable strategy, even if you're always healthy and hit the jackpot everytime you still need to wait 40s between each BNP, so no even in the most crazy scenario you can't possibly do a gen within 30 seconds.
Exhaustion doesn't prevent the perk from being used again once Exhaustion wears out. We also don't know what the actual odds of pulling any item + any addon is.
It's fine if we don't agree here. I'm just listing my only concern about the new perks and that's being able to pull Syringes and BNPs from a perk for no real cost. These addons become far more valuable if you pull them for free since they normally consume the item they are attached too.

Med-kits are the only items with 2 iri add-ons.
Unless my math is embarassingly wrong (which I admit is very possible) The probably of this happening are 1/4 perk effect * 1/5 item * 2/13 add-ons (for med-kits) = 0.00769. Otz just got very lucky.
And BNPs are getting nerfed, so getting one because you got lucky using a perk that risks you getting exposed is really not that big of a deal. It's a meme perk anyways, it's not like people will run it to try to get an OP item when they could just bring one.
BNPs are getting nerfed, but the change is that they remove 10 seconds of progress on the gen. If survivors can farm BNPs off this perk, they can in theory reduce gens to have less than 30 seconds of solo repair to be completed.
I think allow iri addons from this perk is going into danger terrority for a perk that comes off as memey.

Dammm i thought it would have a rarity cap or something, thats insane.
It should imo. Syringe and BNPs are very strong addons to just get for free on a perk that can used an infinite amount of times.

He obviously just got really lucky with the add-ons...
You shouldn't be able to pull double iri addons from the perk. This would mean survivors could pull BNP as well.
Also just a fun meme thing you can do is that you can deactive corrupt at the start by using No Mither and Plot Twist.
-
Dramaturgy might be too strong atm.
I just saw Otz get this item from it
-
Old Object of Obsession was a perk that allowed the survivor to see the killer's aura by looking at their direction as long as you are outside the TR. The "downside" was that the survivor's aura was also revealed. The obsession also had longer range on the aura reading.
The problem was that survivors had full control over showing their aura meaning that it was on command see where the killer is. It fundamentally broken SWF, because a single person with OoO basically meant every survivor knew where the killer was at all times.
-
Nothing about this image shows she needs a rework. People d/cing is a separate issue.
-
Artist has two problems
The first is that she's a bit clunky. You have to hold down the power button and place crows while being slowed down and then you have to let go of the power button and press a different button after 0.5 second delay to fire the crows. Then you have the limit of placing crows near hooks which makes scouting with some crows after a hook or on maps like Game or Midwich you can just be screwed by chasing a survivor under a hook.
The second is that she's deceptively difficult to play while being quite punishing for messing up. She's up there for one of the hardest killers to master. Her skill floor is low as you can just place crows at loops and against survivors not familiar with Artist, this can work well. But most experience survivors will see/hear you place the crow and use the slowdown to make distance to another tile. She has a small window where she can land a follow up attack to hit a swarmed survivor for damage and missing will basically reset progress in chase completely.
You add in the fact that mastering Nurse and Blight are easier tasks and have similar if not better results than Artist and you have a killer not ideal to just pick up and play on top of a killer that people have no reason to invest time in mastering. She's just in an awkward place and she could really use some QoL changes.
-
The changes are making tapes more important to her power, which as they stand on live are largely ignored outside of specific addons being in play. Which is far better for her as a character regardless of the strength on the ptb.
-
Likely as a whole he's not overperforming despite people's dislike of some of his addons.
Like I hate C33, but I also rarely see Blights bring it.

The thing is, this nerf is barely going to do anything. Having KI on Survivors while phasing is inherently an issue no matter the range on it. Whether it's 3 meters or 4 meters, it tells you where a survivor is (or tells you no one is at your current position) without having to actually make the prediction yourself which removes a lot of the skill and counterplay from Spirit especially since it also doesn't give survivors any feedback that it's there.
The addon should've just been reworked entirely, not nerfed.
Remember the dust trails they were going to add original to Spirit. They could attach it to DCB then survivors would have some feedback that the spirit is using the perk. Of course this only helps experienced survivors and personally I would like to see the addon reworked instead. But I doubt BHVR will rework the addon before the mid-chapter release.

In solo q it means that windows are blocked for 2,5 minutes every match. GL
You have to realize you are literally complaining that your teammates in your games complete all 5 gens allowing you to open the exit gate and leave. It has nothing to do with the perk being too strong and I'm sorry that you have competent teammates in solo q.

Dude, you have to remember that majority of player base is plying solo q. Playing with randoms that can vault windows is frustrating enough. What will happen when you will remove that possiblity? Easy 4k in 80% of solo matches. I get it that plying killer at higher MMR or plying against SWF is frustrating but deva have to remember that most of survivors are casuals.
It's 30 seconds windows are blocked per gen completed and the duration doesn't stack, just reset.
Pallets still exist and don't get blocked. And if you are so concerned that you can't run the killer you could always hide and wait out the perk.

Have u seen Claustrophobia changes? It's f ridiculous. Coup de Grâce is ridiculous too. 90% of killers plays on stolen public library WIFI so they have Coup basekit. Lets give them another 8 m reach. Not gonna spend another dollar on this game.
Claustrophobia activate upon survivors completing a gen and if survivors complete multiple gens around the same time the killer effectively loses out on the limited uses of the power. This buff is nice, but it's hardly going to give killers a free 4K.
Coup de Grace like Claustrophobia, only activates on gen being completed. Now instead of 5 uses, they get 10 uses. Not really going to break the perk besides letting killers actually use their perk more often.

You need 7 stacks, while holding tape you completely ignore her teleportation.
Unless you will get focused by Onryo to tunnel you out, you are unlikely to get even near that.
What might work is full slugging tho. It depends if you get a stack for getting downed too.
If you get stack only when you get injured then it's really bad...
I don't think you read what I wrote.
I said the changes force survivors to have to interact with her power (take tapes), because ON LIVE basekit Sadako has no threat of condemning survivors until the gens are already done.
-
The main thing is survivors now have to interact with her power. Basekit Sadako on live, there's little reason for survivors to interact with TVs, because the cooldown is shorter than her teleport and there's not much threat of being fully condemned.

At least something, though I don't get what difference the Cherry Blossom "nerf" will make. It's more of a buff in my eyes because that means when it triggers you will be closer to the Survivor, securing a hit way easier.
But they fixed the recovery oversight on the duration Add-ons and nerfed her most broken Add-on, that's at least something.
I really don't get why the devs think reducing Cherry Blossom distance by 1m will have any effect. It's like they don't realize that the problem lies with spirit getting killer instinct while phasing.

rewarded for being injured
It's a perk that does nothing until the activation conditions being met. No one ever says this is 'punishing the survivor for being healthy' because that's looking at the entire system wrong.
Health states (and hook states) are resources for survivors. This perk costs a health state to activate.
Dead hard costs both a health state and a hook state to even be usable.
Becoming injured itself is not a threat and having perks that buff the survivor when they are injured with no other condition attached to them is a problem. It's why dead hard is now attached to being unhooked, because having the perk be solely tied to being injured is not enough of a downside.
-
I really don't get why they are so cautious with Hangman's Trick. Being a Scourge perk is a huge nerf and the minor distance buff means there's still no reason to use it.
-
They both have the same problematic design where the survivor is rewarded for being injured.
I don't think mft is as strong as dead hard was though.
-
I saw the expose be used once and the duration is rather short that I was still able to outlast it.
I really think people are overrating it.
-
People keep saying the expose is op but I have only encountered 1 killer who used it and it was right near the end of the game and it still did nothing because I outlasted it at a pallet.
Plus survivors can't really get strong abilities due to the nature of the game being a 1v4.
Just feels like some of you are just upset because you can't auto win with event abilities.
-
Map Prevention works, because you don't queue up to play on a map and it's easy enough for the game to decide the map when the lobby is ready.
People pick the killer to play as before queueing and this would only lead to punishing people for playing popular killers. Not to mention the effects get really messy when you consider that each player in a lobby can have a different last killer played against and lobby dodging is only going to add to the pain.
The negatives simply out weight any positive benefit this system might provide.
-
So 4 survivors could block the top 12 killers in the game. This is just going to be abused

"Artists surveillance is better"
On what planet is Artist better at surveillance than Singularity? At most you can make an argument that in the first minute or so of the game you get better intel with Artist or possibly certain maps like Lerys. But once Singularity gets his pods distributed throughout the map there isn't a killer with better intel than Singularity.
Also let's not forget Artist's power has no vertically to it. Meaning maps with multi-levels or even maps that have a gen on a different level, make it harder for her to surveil.
The main difference is that Artist's surveillance is more threatening, because of the risk of follow up for a damage state whereas Singuarlity can often not be able to do anything from his bipod location.
-
@Krazzik said:
After all his changes he's certainly not a bad killer, he's just hard to play and not very fun for most people. Similar to Artist in a way.
The thing is at least with Artist you're never locked out of her power and Artist power is very strong when mastered.
Singularity's power you not only have to deal with survivors being able to hard counter your power, but you can just be on a map that doesn't allow you to do much with your power anyways. And the worst part is the reward is medicore since Overclock's duration is so short. He just doesn't excel at anything to warrant using him.
