  • Yep, hold back or try to go to either side dont need to wiggle

  • @CrowVortex said:

Is there an option or setting that can be changed when speared for it not to use the analog stick on controler? Half the time when wiggling the stick i accidentally hit the home button and bring up the console menu, it's pretty annoying.

You don't have to wiggle it, just hold it back

Because one of these things generally results in hour long games.

If you're in a game for an hour thats your fault

Artist is on the same level as knight we don’t want anti loop we want chase powers the perfect killer in my opinion is wesker not a complicated boring hold w power or a 3 Gen power just things to help him in chase slow the survivors down

Not everyone wants to play zoom zoom killers. Its disorienting for some people.

Chase powers would just make every killer the same and would get boring hella fast.

Some killers like myself like to play methodical, slow, and practically evil killers. Its why killers like Skull Merchant fit my play style so well. But I can't enjoy her when I know for a solid fact that she's gonna get a fat nerf or rework soon and I have to constantly try to find a new killer to play.

Because her two effective playstyles are Totem Defender and 3-genner.

    Wrong

  • I honestly don't notice Pop doing anything when I use it, better off with CoB and OC. PR hits hard and I like it when I play killer hate it as surv lol.

Deadlock is nice, DMS could be better, Eruption is niche, and Jolt is nice if you get fast downs.

No we just want more killers who aren't oppressive like Nurse but have good chase powers that don't shut down loops and result in you having to hold W.

Killers like Wesker, Demo, Oni, Blight (without busted add ons), Billy (pre-nerf), Singularity, Deathslinger, Pyramid Head or even chase powers similar to Doctor. I even think Dredge's chase power is fine because it requires some skill to outplay someone at loops with it.

Killers like Skull Merchant, Artist, Knight, and to a lesser extent Hag where their main anti-loop is just "drop power and now survivor has to leave" are not fun. And then add on to that, their powers also work as gen defense. So you can't loop them or do gens. That's why these killers are hated because there is no scenario where you can have fun because all you do is just pre-drop every pallet and hold W and spend a couple seconds on gens before you have to repeat it all over again.

That's repetitive and boring not everyone has a MnK to be able to flick not everyone has fun playing zoom killers and being disorienting and not everyone wants to keep going to loops hoping to outplay someone.

Yeah, I guess you could say that I'm saying gen defender Killers shouldn't exist. Killers like SM whose whole gimmick revolves around delaying the game as much as humanely possible are awful for the health of the game, and no, gen defense Killers aren't the meta at all, not sure where you pulled that out from. Do you wonder why Killers like Blight, Oni, Wesker, and Hillbilly are not only more prevalent than gen defense Killers but also more highly regarded? It's because despite not having built-in slowdown like Knight, Cenobite, or SM their lethality in both chase and map mobility more than makes up for it. You don't need to have built-in game delay if you have lethality and map mobility because just being able to down survivors faster than an M1 killer and being able to traverse the map already puts a ton of pressure on the survivor.

Killers like SM, Knight, or Cenobite don't have much in the way of lethality or map mobility so they have to make up for it by having built game delay which forces survivors in extremely unfun scenarios. No one wants to spend 30 minutes in a game against SM trying to break a 3-gen, having to constantly solve the box to avoid having a million chains interrupt you or being constantly chased by a Knight.

and no, gen defense Killers aren't the meta at all, not sure where you pulled that out from.

It....is....why do you think Deja Vu got a buff and considering Knight and SM released basically the same shows that gen defending killers are being tested in the waters despite heavy backlash and heavy nerfs on kicking gen perks but still being used as opposed to pressure surv with slow healing or hit n run.

Do you wonder why Killers like Blight, Oni, Wesker, and Hillbilly are not only more prevalent than gen defense Killers but also more highly regarded?

Idk lets see they all have the mechanic behind zoom around map and get fast downs, they favor the people that can flick with them so that makes them even more appealing to the opposing side, and oh yeah majority of players like fast gameplay. Not everybody wants to play fast.

You don't need to have built-in game delay if you have lethality and map mobility because just being able to down survivors faster than an M1 killer and being able to traverse the map already puts a ton of pressure on the survivor.

Does every killer have map mobility? No. Does every killer have map lethality? No. Are maps all a reasonable size to accommodate for the weaker M1 killers? Nope. Sooooo why doesn't every killer have zoom powers and easy fast ways to get hits? Oh, it makes the game repetitive and no diversity and everyone would play the same.

Literally not true at all, people just don't want Killers like Skull Merchant or Knight who have extremely irritating and boring counterplay. Killers who have nothing but anti-loop are also boring because the counterplay will always without fail be to just hold W which isn't enjoyable for anyone. People want Killers like Wesker, Hillbilly, Oni, and Blight who not only have a lot of depth to them for both sides but also have fun and interesting counterplay.

So you are saying no gen defenders? Hate to break it you but that is the killing meta rn hate to say it. BHVR can make as many anti-loop killers and they will all end up being the same.

Gens are crucial to surv as well as killers. Killers dont like seeing gens go down and surv love to. So when a killer can defend them hard and better than say a bunch of other killers with just Pain res or kicking a bunch people are gonna play them.

    Uh, I mean sure.

If you are gonna play someone like Freddy, I don't think you can expect to win a lot of games.

Allllllrighty then, lets stop complaining about SM and Knight and stop wanting more of the same killer since almost every other M1 killer is weak😁

Immediately dismissing people as "X mains" js childish and serves no real purpose.

Yes, people got tired of Killers who force Survivors into one type of counterplay, holding W. I'm pretty sure both Killers and Survivors were agreed on that.

Dull Merchant can hold games hostage until the server closes. That's not okay. Nobody asked for that, nobody wanted that. It's boring for the Killer and miserable for the Survivor. It's a video game, it's supposed to be fun.

Personally, I'd prefer more Killers like Wesker. Multiple types of counterplay, strong power with a diverse and nuanced skill set.

Not everyone wants to play dashing catch up killers tho and not everyone wants to have to play top tier killers, hell, some killers are legit built for PC gamers only aka Billy, Oni, Trickster, Blight, etc.

  • Surv need to choose.

Do you want a killer that gen defends or more anti-loops?

If neither go play a different game.

Its honestly obnoxious about complaining about "Knight is boring and easy" or "SM brings 30 min games."

You guys got tired of anti-loop killers by DC'ing and boycotting against pinhead and saying Artist is op so plz unite and choose. Nobody wants to play M1 killers with plain powers 24/7

  • @miniwengsel said:

So old DH was very strong (overpowert) against every Killer. The strong Killers like Nurse, Blight and Spirit needed some extra seconds to get the down and dead harding against them I would say was fine. The weaker Killers got absolutly gestroyed by DH and I would say dead harding against them was rlly mean, but what does MFT now?

MFT hurts especially weaker killers. If you think about it its clear. The strong killers are mostly strong beause they have movment. A Nurse dosent care about MFT, a Blight with speed addons doesnt care about MFT, Spirit ...etc

but for a weaker Killer MFT can rlly hurt for example:

    1. M1 Killer only without a good chase power to counter: Pig, Trapper, Myers, Ghost Face, Legion, Onrio, Knight, SM, Buba (if the survivor doesnt heal)
    2. The killer uses his power to gain a little distance so he can strike before he reaches the pallet or window, which is no longer possible with MFT: Freddy, Doctor, Billy and Pig again
    3. Killers that are so slow, that MFT makes a Rock to an infinite: Deathslinger, Huntress, Trickstar

So MFT shouldnt exists, because it punishes players for playing weaker killers.

PS I know Huntress and Deathslinger arent weak, but they are basically uplayable against MFT and its a nightmare to play aginst it.

You're reaching into Dredge's dark shroud with this one. Dont get me wrong 3% speed for being injured is kinda weird and dumb but old DH was miles stronger than MFT

  • Im simply convinced that surv just want M1 killers constantly with boring powers.

Yall got tired of anti-loop killers and now are tired of gen defending killers plz unite on a decision of which one you would like cause Im honestly confused.

Do you know that he can teleport to you without using pods?

Yes and is it as great then to teleport with a pods? No

  • @Boons123 said:

Making it limited or weak would make the killer very oppressive

The problem was that it was scattered around the map in abundance, wherever you go, you will get it

Also, the killer infection spreads easily among the survivors, and the killer can keep shooting at you and teleport to you without restrictions

So you need to counter play

It's good for a survivor to waste his time getting one, use it once, and then destroy it

    It's a balanced killer. Don't ruin it

It wouldnt make him oppressive because the pods have a range and cover is a factor too, he can only place them on vertical objects so its easy to spot from far, and EMP's dont require any work you just activate and boom you shut killers power off with no side effects.

I feel like EMP's should only work on pods on walls and their needs to be a seperate action to remove a pod thats on you

  • Yea I feel the same way...I saw a lot of PTB plays and I was like oh yea he seems easy and fun to use....turns out its quite boring. The EMP's make it so you dont have any power during setup and chases unless you catch them by suprise which is hard to do since cover and range play in factor.

  • Both sides complaining and leading to drastic nerfs, Devs not fixing things in a mannner that needs to be fixed and overall not great balancing with killers or surv.

Still don't understand why there hasnt been an add on pass yet for the weakest killers in the game.

  • @Luckyfer said:

Weskers in desperate needs of nerfs.

A licensed killer like him shouldn't be that strong.

Make him 110ms or remove 1 charge from his ability.

    That's everything,thank you.

Doesn't need nerfs his bitboxes are weird to even be considered broken😅

did you do anything fun? did something funny happen to you in-game? i encourage you to share, i feel like the positivity is needed today after the sad news of a beloved member's passing

Still trying to find a killer to main and kind of eagerly waiting for the new one to come out

  • "Heterosexual characters are "the default", to the point you can see a mile away when they're trying to match them with a "soulmate". When you see this over, and over, and over again you kinda grow desensitized and all you can do is roll your eyes because some of the relationships almost feel forced or coming out of the blue. "

I mean its the default because its how life begins. Sure some relationships can feel forced but the same thing can be said about homosexual relationships.

Isn't it also desensitizing when a gay person also has crushes on straight males most of the time? Or am I missing something?

  • Not trying to be a hater but like why does it matter? They're fictional characters. I still dont understand the movement of having to make a bunch of gay/trans/bi/lesbians to appease peoples own sexuality.

Again not trying to hate on it, but like at the end of the day a video game is nothing but pixels that have 0 feelings towards you or interact with you.

  • I feel you, over time I find myself not liking any killer I play, everytime I try to go in with positive vibes I ultimately either get maps that are no fun to play on, gens flying because of PT and toolboxes, or surv just looping forever.

Ill give it one more shot when the new chapter hits and I hope that the killer is fun to play and hopefully becomes my main, cause every other killer is either not my playstyle or is just weak because devs dont wanna do an add on pass🙄

  • Yea I had a cheater match a while ago didnt affect me since I wasnt stressing on trying to win lol

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/372328/clown-suggestions

He's certainly not my main but I am fond of playing clown.

If you're struggling with gens as clown then hands off regression perks are the way to go. Pain res will be good, at least until the midchapter update hits. Jolt too since clown can finish chases fast and eruption isn't bad with him if you chase someone off a gen.

Or if kicking gens is more your thing don't forget about the yellow clouds. Helps you traverse quicker. Pop overcharge is a combo I've been having fun with. Another build I've tried on a few killers is distressing, unnerving, coulrophobia and sloppy butcher. No direct regression and it doesn't work well on large maps but bring a jigsaw piece and players are pretty much constantly in your terror radius. Might work well on clown since it's useful for keeping survs perma injured and clown can down reeeal fast if he finds an injured surv.

On the more ruthless end of the spectrum he is adept at tunneling since he can end chases quick, and there are few better ways to apply pressure than to remove one surv fast as possible. Not my preferred style but it works.

Or just lean into finishing chases. My preferred build with clown is one regression perk, one seeker perk, plus superior anatomy and bamboozle. That particular combo makes vaults extremely dangerous for survivors, if a surv runs for a vault you throw a bottle past them through the vault, they fast vault get slowed and you practically catapult yourself through the vault after them and they lose a lot of distance, usually enough to stop them reaching a pallet. Plus bamboozle is always good for shutting down vault loops.

Apologies if this is stuff you already knew.

No you're good lol, Im gonna def try some of the tips you mentioned
