Someone should look at all the cool skins Adam has

I use fire up on legion because ik as legion I'll be losing a lot of gens early on and that way I can leave certain pallets broken until I run into them again by then it feels like running brutal

Ok, go on ignoring everything else I say. I'm out of this discussion. Go troll someone else
You even get points and perks that activate when you take a hit for someone

I'm a bit of a sadist, so having my actions in game (not even toxic ones btw) proven by endgame chat to be emotionally hurting people irl is an immense turn on for me. I imagine them crying, slamming keyboards, punching their screens, screaming at the game etc, and I can't help but feel a huge rush when they let it all out in chat. If they escalate it to death threats, racist/homophobic/antisemitic slurs, then the rush gets even better as I hit the report button knowing that the in-game chat logs are saved and can be viewed by the devs, meaning an inevitable ban is likely in their future (which will hurt the pathetic loser(s) even more). If however I'm just not in the mood that day (like when i'm just focusing on getting points during 2x point events) I just close the chat and play on in peace. Obviously however, not everyone can be a sadist like me, and so I have some advice for that:
No one deserves abuse for playing a game, especially playing it well, and while some like myself thrive on it, it admittedly can go too far. In those moments either keeping the chat closed, or reporting the turds and shrugging it off is typically the best medicine. The biggest thing to remember when playing is that if you win and did nothing toxic like abuse the games mechanics/bugs to do so, then it's not you they are really mad at, its their own performance during the match and the games legal mechanics (the mori system in your case), and they're just taking out their frustrations on you to make themselves feel better. It's very pathetic, and often times hilarious how they can get so worked up on a game that they take the time after the match to vomit up a slurry of mindless anger on their keyboards to express their obvious insecurities.
You did nothing wrong, and the game not only allowed what you did, but it encouraged it. There's no reason you should feel bad about it, and the person who slammed you with their filth doesn't have a case against you. They were just unlucky to be the one you mori'd, and took it in poor sportsmanship like an over entitled brat. If they said anything truly nasty, then by all means report them, shrug it off for what it is, have a laugh about it and close the chat to play on in peace if it bothers you.
Its posts like this one that make me want to remind people of the only "Unwritten Rules" I believe everyone should have in mind when playing this game (feel free to skip the rest of my comment if you've already heard all of this before):
1 - Play how you want to play and enjoy the game.
2 - Respect is akin to Newtons 3rd law: For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Ergo, if you show no respect, don't expect any.
3 - The Killers role is to kill, the Survivors is to survive... Both by any means necessary. Hate the game, not the player.
4 - When the gates are powered... Anything goes.
5 - You paid money for a multiplayer experience, and thus aren't entitled to win every match. Anyone who takes umbrage to this should stick to single-player games where-in you are entitled to win for the money you paid. Being salty because of a lost match is unbecoming, embarrassingly juvenile, and toxic to the communities reputation. We're all people pitting our skills, strategies, and knowledge against each-other. If you lose and have nothing good to say: Leave a "gg," calm down/lick your wounds, and move onto the next match.
6 - (For PC players anyways) Post game chat can be closed using the ">>" in the lower right of the chat box, and will remain closed until you either open it again or restart the game. No one deserves abuse, so if you find yourself frustrated over excessive endgame chat toxicity: Just close it, and continue enjoying the game in peace.
7 - This is a 4v1 Lobby and Match style Multiplayer game. When you queue up to play a match you are committing to seeing it through so that everyone can enjoy the game, and everyone else who queued up is depending on your commitment to the match in order to experience said enjoyment. The acceptable reasons for Intentionally Disconnecting from a match are as follows:
- A Game breaking bug rendering you incapable of playing a normal match.
- A Player(s) taking the game hostage/hacking/exploiting bugs or game mechanics/bullying or griefing you. (Report these ones after leaving the match)
- Influences and situations outside of the game that make your disconnection unavoidable in order to deal with said circumstances.
Disconnecting from a match intentionally for any other reason is a practice in bad sportsmanship that Ruins the experience for all other players. Disconnecting over petty reasons doesn't do anything other than piss off everyone else, and makes you a worse player for it since you don't learn how to play any better by quitting. Too many DC's from too many players can also result in leaving the community as a whole with a sour experience, and could eventually kill the game we love. If you are frustrated with how a match is going; Take it in stride as a learning experience, see it through to the end, take a break, and decide if you want to queue up for another match. We all bought this game in order to play it with others despite how each match goes, and the majority of the fun this game offers is in the variation of each individual match.
Don't be a petty DC'er.
Honestly this made me a bit teary eye thank you so much.

Salty/toxic people are worth laughing at, rather than taking to heart. As long as you aren't a dick, like tunneling off the first hook for that mori, you know you're just better than them. Take it as a compliment that people without anything to show for themselves outside the game are investing their time and energy just for you :3
I only had an ebony mori as gf and felt bad because I don't like moris but hooked 3 people once and didn't really try to win. I only wanted the mori but wasn't a dick about it and played very badly. I guess just the constant reply from that survivor to keep telling me to "#########" while having my own problems with depression just really isn't sitting well with me atm but I just can't still shake it off.

- There have been a million and one announcements that DC's will be more heavily monitored and punished when they update to dedicated servers.
- I played a match yesterday against a rank 10 nurse (4 days after reset so they must have been higher rank previously), I looped her for only 1 gen, pallet slammed her once and she DC'd so this isn't just about survivors DC'ing. (i was running lithe, self care, adrenaline, and we'll make it and had no items before anyone jumps in assuming I was running dead hard or MoM or some other perk killers consider "toxic")
I had a game recently too like that where I was in the game and the killer manage to get an early kill off of someone but because of my pathing he dc and told me "I never play on the game too many safe pallets," I was injured after my first hook and tried my best to leave before he got too close to me. It's just so hard for me to think about dcing because the game goes south for any side. It's never over till it's over. But with the dedicated servers hopefully both survivors and killers are penalize for dcing.

Killers that DC in my opinion are worst than survivors that DC, as the survivors often don't get any of the bloodpoints that they gained in the match due to the killer dcing.
That's true but like I said only when survivors go out their way to bully the killer is mostly when I see the most dcs from killers, but when a survivor dc's the game keeps going and even tho the developers stopped the 3 survivors lobby it's still a crutch to them for someone leaving early and I can't find justifiably morals to keep playing my best with them

Killers: "why isn't dc punished more?"
Also killers: "face camping is a legit strategy."
I understand that some killers face camp but your comment is nowhere near the topic I was stating. Don't know how this applies to my post about fair games being ruined by dc's for that hinders everyone else's fun

There is going to be more things done about DCing in the future. The developers said in one of the developer updates that they're going to add a feature so when a survivor DCs it leaves a husk. The killer will be able to hit, hook and sacrifice this husk to get full points when a survivor DCs.
As a survivor, when a teammate DCs it pretty much throws the match unless you were in a good position (e.g. lots of gens done, no Hex: Ruin). As of right now, I don't think the developers have said how they're planning on balancing this more. Although, after the implementation of the husk feature, I'm sure they'll begin working on punishing DCers more.
Currently, when you DC, the game registers it as a defeat whereby you:
- Lose pips
- Lose any items, add-ons etc.
- Don't get any bloodpoints, XP etc.
Moreover, if you DC enough you will get banned. Despite all of this a lot of people still DC so something definitely needs changing. Although only time will tell what the developers will do.
If you want to read about this more I'll leave the applicable link here: https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/73858/developer-update-june-july-2019
Thank you so much I really glad that they're addressing the issue and feel like I can wait for the change to be implemented

First things first: both sides DC
Yeah I never said they were the only ones that do that it's just more common for them and it really hinders their teammates when someone does. Only time I see dcs from killers is when survivors actively go out their way to bully and be toxic to the killer. Even I when getting Leroys Institute as hillbilly I don't instantly dc I just go as in because my fun isn't the only one at stakes here I want to make sure that everyone has a fun and engaging experience whenever I play killer that's just me.

Hi I played Freddy since he was released and I just love and adore him as a killer, but as ya know he is a dream shadow of his former self. I do have some ideas about a rework for his powers since I know the frustration all too well.
When first pulled into the dream world first and foremost it should interrupt all actions but have no indicators for someone falling asleep who wasnt pulled in and it should add a regression property if they chose to work through sleep to fail a skill check while in dream trans. the time it takes to fall asleep reduces to 4 seconds because survivors can get so far with the current time. And lastly give Freddy priority if a nonasleep survivor heals a down survivor give him priority he can walk through survivors but not actually pick interact with the ones asleep when a woke survivor is interacting.
a new ultra rare add on that causes the survivors not to notice when they're pulled into dream until they're already asleep.
Just my half a cent.
