Vecna is a Demigod status in D&D and his lore in DBD is him defying the Entity trying to grab him until he consents to join. Hence why the Mark of Negation, because without it Vecna could just leave the entity's realm whenever he felt like it.
Freddy and Sadako while powerful don't have any indication they need the mark to keep them in line.
Oh that makes sense. Freddy and Sadako are weakened but even at full power they probably couldn’t escape.
So then Alan Wake is probably the only other character who should have the mark.
-
The only perk I think that is really unfairly countered by it is I’m All Ears which becomes a complete hinderance when used against a Distortion user because you lose scratch marks and Killer Instinct wouldn’t work on this perk. That perk needs something to deal with Distortion because right now the threat of Distortion existing makes the perk not worth running ever despite being a good perk.
If Distortion does need to be changed, I’d rather they just make it only gain tokens in chase so that the Distortion user needs to interact with the killer and reduce the tunnelling side effect of it. And maybe not have the scratch marks part work in chase so I’m All Ears isn’t completely gutted by it.
-
Freddy’s gonna need more than one mark

Keys need to be changed to have ability to instantly open chests.
That would be fun. They would probably still be weak but it would be more enjoyable!
Make the Broken Key a brown item and let it also open the chests. And when holding a key the aura of the unopened chests are visible to you so you don’t need to waste much time.
Could also make it so that the rarer keys increase the rarity of items you find. (Except maybe not able to find keys because then it could lead to a never ending cycle of keys haha)
-
He's lore accurate to an extent but it still doesn't really feel like you are playing as "Freddy Krueger" at all.
-
I do think he is on the lower half of the tier list but I do agree people make him out to be worse than he is. Especially when paired with Coup de Grace.

Myers reduced TR is basically the entire reason he's considered a stealth killer. It's a little bit different, lol.
Fair, but I think that kind of makes him a pretty bad stealth killer haha. He kind of requires Monitor or Dead Rabbit to even become stealthy in tier 2 in the first place.
The main aspect of his power is Tier 3. Without that he is just a generic M1 killer with slightly tuned stats. While other killers can run out of parts of their powers at some point, like Freddy, they don't lose the main part of it. They still have some power they can utilise where as Myers just gets some altered stats. He's very outdated and needs a rework because of it.
Now Freddy is a completely different issue where even when he does have his powers they aren't even worth it. His Snares are some of the worst anti-loop and require people to be asleep and his TP has a huge cool down and as you said gets weaker as the game progresses. While he doesn't technically lose all his powers at any point his powers aren't even that great in the first place to justify all the downside that he may as well not even have any powers most of the time haha.
Freddy should be at the top of their rework priority list with Myers just behind. It's disappointing that neither have received anything yet :(

Mostly true. He keeps his faster vault speed and small terror radius. He's kinda like Freddy in that he still has SOME power, but loses a good bit by endgame.
Eh I don't really consider his reduced terror radius a 'power'. It's like counting Wesker's 40m and Hag's 24m terror radius' a part of their power.
Yeah true that Freddy loses some power, but Myers can lose basically everything.
Both need changes badly.
-
They didn’t state what it will do yet but they mentioned that his add ons will receive changes alongside his buffs so I think it’s safe to say that it will be reworked.
Something to look forward to on the PTB :D

His point gain is also really low compared to other insta-down killers like ghostface. i'm not sure you could max deviousness without perks to increase point gain or 4k bonus. Add-on rework and power touch ups could do wonders but i don't think he'll be above mid-tier or even lower mid-tier.
And unlike the other Insta-down killers he also can use up his entire power.
He’s also the only killer left who can basically lose their entire power.

1,000,000% Freddy please. Why Myers?
He’s very outdated and poorly designed.
Tombstone Piece makes him broken but without it he’s arguably bottom 3.
He needs to lose his Insta-kill add ons and have some more power shifted into his base kit.

You can actually bait most survivors into Dead Harding with most killers that have powers that can be performed while walking. Most survivors aren't looking to see the lunge animation but rather any change in animation can spook them into pressing E reactively.
The best ones though are Wraith, Freddy, and Slinger since they actually raise their weapons. However in my experience, 9 out of 10 survivors will still DH when I do similar things like crouching as Ghostface or aim a pod as Singularity.
@jesterkind said:
Wraith can do this too, it's pretty neat- the very beginning of the cloak animation looks very similar to the beginning of an M1 animation, good for baiting DH.
Not really super good for anything else, but it's still a neat gimmick.
You can also bait them into dropping a pallet or vaulting it at the wrong time by doing this. Not as consistent as baiting Dead Hard but still useful in some scenarios.
-
Give HUNK Looming Dread and voice lines.
-
No. We don't need an eye-for-an-eye for every single balance change.
-
While I hate this perk simply because it's existence makes certain perks like I'm All Ears obsolete, it's fine for the most part and I don't think it really needs to be nerfed right now.
But if it has to be nerfed, then this is what I would suggest.
- Make it so you only regain tokens while in chase. This way you HAVE to interact with the killer at some point to continue using the perk and it makes it less selfish. Maybe then reduce the time to regain tokens down to 20 seconds or so to compensate.
- Remove the scratch marks part, or at least not have it activate in a chase. Probably my biggest issue with this perk is that it makes I'm All Ears a detriment to run. IAE is already a pretty mid perk and the existence of Distortion makes running it actively harmful. No perk should make you second guess selecting an already meh perk.
-
Guard dropping and Scamper were the exact opposite of skill. If anything they’ve become MORE skilful.
Singularity and Hillbilly were/are just too clunky and miserable to play. They still are skilful they just aren’t miserable to play as anymore.
Aiming your pods wasn’t even the part of Singularity’s kit that made him skilful in the first place so this doesn’t really change anything for him in terms of skilful except make him more rewarding to play.
-
Haemorrhage is much less common now that Sloppy is no longer meta, so I think we should wait and see how they are first before addressing haemorrhage.
-
Everything I wanted to see fixed was updated!
No more losing all your targeting progress because of a tiny leaf.
No more EMPing mid chase and then picking up another one instantly and doing it again.
No more needing to rely on Soma Family Photo
Less likely to shoot an obstacle instead of teleporting to a survivor.
Now if someone uses an EMP I can actually slipstream them with another nearby camera instead of having to wait 2 seconds.
I’m so happy with all of it!
-
It’s still got the exhaustion requirement so I think it’s fair to bring it back.
We already have OtR removing 100% of sounds frequently and that hasn’t caused any issues so I don’t think Iron Will be that much of issue now.
-
I’ve been using the Ghostface body since it released.
-
It doesn't hide scratch marks. The only thing that does is that one Tryk that hides them and makes the killer Undetectable.
They are much harder to follow this patch I feel. Also for some reason chases just don't start either. I was chasing someone for like 20 seconds and it didn't proc until I hit them, even though I was literally in hugging distance for awhile.
-
Hopefully he gets something soon, but at this point I don’t have much hope :(

Yeah. They both have chase powers, freddy's is weaker but doesn't require mutation. And freddy has a reliable teleport ability and passive oblivious. Nemesis has zombies but they aren't reliable at all.
He kinda does require “mutation” though. If they’re awake his power does nothing. Where as Nemi still has a chase power even if they aren’t mutated with his pallet break.
Passive Oblivious is more of a detriment honestly since he has a lullaby anyway. All removing his terror radius does is make terror radius and stealth based perks completely useless on him.

I really do think aura perks should go like this. Not necessary that to show the perk all the time as long as being affected, simply with an eye icon like appear for 3sec to show "Im being watched" and let the players guess the aura perk. Go for both side (so if killers get the eye icon near a Gen, they know Wiretap in play and prefer to kick Gen before chase)
I feel like aura perks are the last thing that should be nerfed right now. We don’t need to encourage stacking slowdown and second chances anymore than we already do.
-
Wesker can get use out of it when paired with other terror radius perks.
Distressing makes his terror radius 50m so add something like Coulrophobia on a small map like Midwich and you’ve got an almost map wide healing slowdown.

Hey folks, now that we've had some time to see it play out and think it over, I wanted to give a quick update. We'll be making some changes to Mage Hand in one of our upcoming minor patches.
- We'll be slightly reducing Mage Hand's range to 14m (was 16m)
- We're reverting the pallet lift time to 0.5s (was 0.35s) - this is the same as the PTB version.
We'll also be reworking the Ring of Telekenesis add-on (which currently causes Mage Hand to pick up pallets quicker) to have a different effect since this turned out to be a very risky number to mess with.
And lastly, as a quick reminder, we'll be fixing a bug which caused Mage Hand to continue picking up a pallet after it stuns you (the stun will correctly cancel Mage Hand), so combining it with Enduring will no longer be an issue.
Can we expect any changes to any of his other powers?
-
I'm still going to stick with Surge.
-
Yeah I've noticed this change in attitude a lot when someone is on death hook, even when they aren't being tunnelled. Just like how someone with Dead Hard plays super aggressive and greedy, but as soon as it's used they pre-drop everything. Once they are in danger they realise they should start playing safer.
My favourite "semi-tunnelling" thing (which isn't really tunnelling) is when I want to chase the unhooker so I act like I'm going to tunnel so that the unhooker will play less safe to protect them even though I was always planning on going for them in the first place.
-
120 seconds is a bit much.
I'm all for slowly the game down normally in exchange for removing slow down perks but I think this is not the way to do it. It would be awful for the survivors.
-
EMPs can be annoying but they are manageable.
His biggest issue is his heavy reliance on Soma Family Photo.
-
That area has always had that many hooks for as long as I can remember. It’s probably because it’s right next to the corn field and the main building which don’t spawn many hooks so they spawn there to meet the hook requirement.

Yeah, I don't mind the program existing but I do feel bad for the Fog Whipersers who want to make a difference and then found out that BHVR already has a group for feedback. Like for years now Otz has been saying he has been msg devs about changes and feedback, the devs according to him have an FW channel in the discord server for this and now they found out all this. I bet few of them feel like all these years their feedback meant nothing at all. Honest I think FW are unoptimized and purely treated. I don't blame Spookyloopz and others for leaving a program where they don't feel like they are under valued. I have thought for a long time now that FWs should just leave the program to make a statement. I know I wouldn't want to be just some mouthpiece or PR person for this game.
Fog Whisperer’s aren’t for balance purposes, they are there to promote the game be a positive representation of the community. They get free access to in game goodies and can give them away as gifts to their viewers encourage engagement.
We also don’t know if any of those Fog Whisperer’s are Consultants either. I don’t think some content creators like Otz would even want to have this be visible considering how much blame he received when STBFL got nerfed.

It’s being nerfed next patch so you won’t have to worry about this happening soon :)

I agree with rewards after the rift, however I disagree that this event is useless.
I haven’t had much time to play during this rift and so I’m not even halfway. This event is great for people like me and actively encourages us to come back.

Yep he’s available again!!! They announced he’s back again recently and he’s even being added to Multiversus so it’s only a matter of time until we get him here!

It's possible, Victor Miller and Horror Inc are working together now for the Jason Universe and the upcoming show. We need Camp Crystal Lake and getting Pamela Voorhees as well would be cool. She probably will be a Legendary skin for someone like Legion. Roy Burns could be a Legendary skin for Jason and Tommy Jarvis will likely be the survivor and other characters like Alice Hardy, Ginny Field, Chris Higgins, Trish Jarvis and all the other final girls could be Legendaries. I hope Jason at least gets his Part 2 skin, I always preferred him as a human rather than a zombie like in Part 6.
Pamela being a skin would be interesting, but I’d rather her be a voice over when playing Jason.
Having her say things like “make them pay for that, Jason” when stunned and cheering him on for getting a hook would be very fitting and more immersive.
-
I don’t really think they are comparable, they are both issues in their own way.
Lobby shopping shouldn’t be possible. No other game allows you to cherry pick your opponents and avoid ones that might give you difficulty.
As for giving up, it’s also an issue and completely ruins the game for everyone else and you, the one ruining it, are somehow punished the LEAST. Any other game this would be looked down on, yet the DBD community thinks they are in the right somehow.
Both need to be addressed for separate reasons. The reason lobby dodging is less talked about (even though it is still a pretty common topic anyway) is probably because it is less obvious that it affected the game. Lobbying dodging doesn’t necessarily make the entire game a loss like giving up does and the other players don’t have to sit through a lost game for ages in a dodged lobby. Lobby dodging doesn’t impact the game as obviously as giving up does so it’s not as clear when it actually happened. They both impact the game negatively, just in different ways and lobby dodging is less in your face about it.
They are both issues that should be more punishable but they should be changed because they are issues themselves, not as a tit for tat type thing where you can only remove one if the other goes.
-
Blood Warden is already a fairly weak perk, it doesn't need a nerf. You can already counter it in most scenarios by 99ing the gates or just leaving when you suspect they have it.
The timer is needed after closing the hatch otherwise the survivor could just hide forever and hold the game hostage.
-
@Horror_Gaming said:
You're also leaving yourself vulnerable since you're injured. Along with giving up at least 2 slots to do a gen a little bit faster if you are capable at consistently hitting greats.
Being injured isn't that big of a drawback for something as powerful as that honestly, especially when you can just negate it by 99ing your healing. We honestly don't need anymore gen speed perks.

Tunneling and camping is waaaay overblown. Scott Jund called everyone out about lying and asked for proof and not a singular person has proved that they get tunneled or camped the majority of their matches.
I get genuinely tunneled in about 1 of every 18-20 matches and have teammates who get tunneled out or camped out in 2-3 of every 30 matches. Stop talking about it and prove it please. Stream your game however much you can so we can see this happen. I’ve never seen it, Scott never seen it and I won’t believe it till I see it.In normal matches, I agree that tunnelling isn’t as common as it is made out to be. However in terms of Chaos Shuffle, it is VERY common.
I get tunnelled maybe once every 10 games outside of this modifier, however so far someone’s been hard tunnelled every game I’ve played of Chaos Shuffle
And I think that both of these situations kind of highlight the issue which is that the only thing stopping tunnelling is the threat of DS. Which leads to the issue that the only way to actually stop tunnelling is behind a pay wall. And it’s why tunnelling is so common in Chaos Shuffle because the chance of encountering DS is very slim.
There should be a base kit form of anti-tunnel that gives a similar threat that DS does. It shouldn’t be behind a perk.
-
Sorry you had to deal with that. Some people are just ######### for no reason. Don’t take it personally, they would’ve been acted awfully no matter how the game went.
Maybe they just suck and sweating in a silly modifier against a laid back killer is the only way they can win and they don’t want to admit it.
-

Considering the absolute incursion we got here when there was even the slightest sliver of a chance that FNAF could get in, I'm gonna disagree.
It was hell for a solid month here. It got so bad that the subreddit started banning any and all mention of FNAF. Maybe it's not you, but it seems to be the VAST majority of fans.
That sounds more like an issue with the DBD community than FNAF honestly.
The Reddit ban wasn’t even because of the community, it was because the topics kept turning political.
