Hopefully it's not replaced by equally annoying exploits. And they should fix Oni's flick exploit while they're at it.
So yall just wanna get rid of all skill expression yea?

They said it does somewhere.
And i agree with you. Only really top tier blights were doing hug tech. And only top tier survivors were going against blights using hug tech. In your average game, the blight doesn't even know what hug tech is let alone how to do it. So it wasn't really hurting the average player.
What they did was remove a high kill expression on a killer that would otherwise have very little (yay so he just gets to dash around, you'll never hit anyone with him anymore, may as well just play billy)
It boggles the mind why they continue to nerf these types of things, while all the "survivor techs" are continuously staying in the game, and while nurse continues to exist in the state she is in since her inception. And i say this as a nurse main.
Somebody with some sense. Very much an L decision by BHVR. Blight is going to be much more boring. “Oh man I can’t wait to play this loop with the same bump logic over and over and over.” Hug tech is what kept blight fun and unique.

Of course not, how else would @Xernoton tunnel and slug baby Dwights and megs all day?

those changes were more of adjustments to his iri combo cause they had to rework iri tag twice
We don’t know what they actually have planned for him being on the roadmap
go read the March update. Lol

This should help fix him actually. Right now he is technically broken as hug tech is a bug/exploit whatever you deem it.
SHOULD…
Messing with collision has been horrific in the past.

True but SWFs could also counter slugging Twins, tunneling, and Blight easier than solo could so overall I think these changes benefit solo more than SWF.

If I’m reading it right then they seem to also have removed hug tech which is a nerf.
Not if they fixed overall collision. It will be a buff to bump logic.

Kind of my line of thinking.
I never had issues with Hug Teching since it was normally easy to predict and counter; and I like it since it added a layer of depth to both sides.
Bump Logic is a more consistent, and by proxy, more boring way of getting hits. And basically forces the Blight to play each specific tileset the exact same way every single time, experimentation and new ways of playing is discouraged.
I really think playing against Blight after this is going to be miserable than before once people start picking up on Bump Logic more.
Exactly why I loved the hugtech. So much more fun than using the same bump logic I’ve memorized for every loop. Agreed, it is very VERY easy to predict, see, and react to. I’ve went down the rabbit whole many times here. Lol
But I guess we’ll see what happens! Still not a good update for blight, taking away a significant amount of depth.

Spice and fun to Blight for the Blight player.
FTFY.
Many survivors don’t mind the hug tech, because of said layers of depth it adds. You are entitled to be happy about the change, and I am entitled to be upset about it. :)
-
Changes are out, he definitely is not getting “reworked” lmao
-
Exactly what @Archol123 said. Bump logic was/is objectively stronger / more consistent with getting a hit. If they successfully fixed his collision, then bump logic will be even more reliable. Sad days, hug tech added so many layers of spice and fun to blight.
-
Please, for the love of God, do not break Blight….
-
Whaaattt?! Lemme go load up and test this!
edit - nvm this is not current, jumped the gun. 😂

bhvr is reworking blight too, so i don´t really care about them atm
What’s your source? There’s not a chance they “rework” him.
-
It’s not that serious. If they t-bag, they give the nodders or no’s. Relax and have some banter, the game will be more fun.
-
Pain res is only free if you’re a terrible survivor who can’t loop. Otherwise, pain res is most definitely not “free”.

... so you´re done.
You can´t level up anymore.
Btw - saw a P69 Sable today.
Is this possible or was this a cheat?
Like what - 100 Mio BP - when did she came out? Few weeks.
Very possible. I did a p100 in a matter of 16-17 days with the anniversary event.
-
I was struggling too for a bit. Go watch D3ad plays 75 winstreak and Otz 50 win streak. Watching how they utilize the power gave a lot of clarity for me.
-
Usually only when I play baby Claudette or baby Dwight, as the killer may assume I’m bad. But that usually changes after first chase and then it’s normal.

Looks like Singularity isn't for me then... I don't like stressful killers LOL
By the way, what do you mean by Dredge is not consistent? Is it because the locker placement?
yea def stay away from singu then.
Yea lockers are inconsistent. Not to mention, his antiloop is very laughable against half decent survivors.
Unknown is the best bang for your buck.
1) You can chose where you want to place your bodies for teleport, and it’s much faster and effective then dredge.
2) His antiloop is much stronger, and also has multi target capability.
3) Creepy voice lines
-
Unknown for sure.
Singularity can be extremely stressful to play.
Dredge is not very consistent.

Ambient occlusion I think is the term.
DBD has always had issues with sounds disappearing through objects, happens with footsteps and grunts of pain a lot.
Hmm. Can’t say I really face these issues. My audio has never let me down, save for the times there were actual acknowledged bugs.
edit - maybe it’s a console issue? Or headset thing?

Clearly I need another coffee - how did you get 12 hooks and have anyone alive, much less all four survivors?
They are saying they spread out 12 hook over the entire match. Nobody was dead before 1 gen left.

Relying on audio cues in DBD is like relying on a slot machine to pay your bills.
In what way? The audio cues are definitely there and loud…. That seems like a very false analogy.
-
On a positive note, shoutout to BHVR for consistently cheap DLC. New chapters are super cheap to purchase, whereas they could easily jack it up to 10-15+ bucks… I have always appreciated that.
-
If you’re complaining about getting hit through walls… listen for the audio cue, and don’t hug the wall. Lol
-
There’s too much water under the bridge with skull merchant. I don’t think she will ever be liked unless her kit is completely gutted and they give her a new power that isn’t drones.
They REALLY dropped the ball with that killer. I don’t blame people for going next against her.
-
I usually get insulted a LOT for being a p100 blight.
Yesterday’s instance, I 4k’d a team at 4 gens because they all gave up. I went ahead and said “ggs and glnt” just to be civil, though I was frustrated that I didn’t get to play the game either because they decided to quit like children.
The Dwight (private) went on to tell me it’s my fault they all gave up because I to play a killer survivors don’t find fun. After telling him I play the killer that I find fun, not for the sake of the survivors, decided to insult me personally, calling me a loser and to kms. I get this usually a couple times a day. Lol
-
I don’t even play into that anymore. Tunneling is just part of the game.
Funniest instance I had was against a streamer who I found 20 seconds into the game and he instantly starting screaming and complaining that I was tunneling him…. Nobody had been hooked… he was my first chase. I was dying laughing he was so enraged.

In theory yes in practice you're going to be in chase most of the time one is ready to spawn.
Not in theory. Quite literally. Edging the m2 does not slow you down, which makes this method completely viable. I use it every single match with the unknown.
-
I think a player who is good with Unknown will out perform the player on Alien.
The power has much more range, multi target possibility, and can hit through walls. The teleport can also become extremely oppressive and can be strategically used in chase as well.
My vote goes to the Unknown.
edit - spelling
-
Can we stop acting like this isn’t part of the game? Killers tunnel, it’s their job to kill the survivors and it’s the most effective way to win.
Survivors can slam the gens, because it’s their job and the most effective way to escape.
It’s just how the game goes right now.
