Are you sure this is the case about the "new players" part? There are some add ons that are rated higher on that list which are somewhat tough to gain value out of unless you're atleast decent at the game.

On top of this, the killers I'm experienced with he's got bang on, and I'm far from new to this game.

That is just what he said, I would just have to disagree with him if he placed it there on an actual tier list anyways

  • @GrimReaperJr1232 said:

Because the 50% penalty was put in place with the expectation that you would bring recharge to counter it, lowering the penalty from 4.5 secs per blink to 3.9 seconds per blink. With her latest add-on pass, recharge addons have been removed. Because of this, they reduced the penalty to 30%, still resulting in 3.9 seconds per blink.

Still though it's weird, it's not exactly like recharge + 3 blink was very balanced, and now you get it with one addon, it's quite silly

  • @NoOneKnowsNova said:

Based on a tier list made by Otzdarva which you can read below, it's a meh add on at best, matching what I thought of the Add On beforehand.

    https://otzdarva.com/addons

Otz has said that this isn't meant to be a tier list, and is more based on cost and new players. He said new players are mostly the reason for the addons placement when I asked him

eh fair enough guess thats true. I always saw it as an addon bad nurses crutch that good nurses easily play without.

it could be that too, awesome right...

  • @nars said:

its only good for bad nurses who cant get the hit with their second blink. Its not transformative to any decent nurse player.

It's not only bad nurses who can't get the hit with their second blink. Really good survivors can make it quite a challenge to easily blink to you, and a 3rd blink basically makes whatever counterplay she has completely void

  • @nars said:

it was one of her worst addons and is still mid.

    No. Lol

If Made for this is bad so Is bloodlust.

If made for this rewards the survivor for being "bad" at chase so does Bloodlust…

In the current state of dbd Neither should Exist In my opinion especially bloodlust considering it was a mechanic meant to counter infinites but infinites don’t exist anymore so I think that it maybe shouldn’t past tier 1.

As for Mtf I don’t think the perk should have two effects but then again 3% isn’t really much and the endurance is hard to get value from if the killer isn’t slugging.

Bloodlust needs to exist bc of map/tile design being horrendous, made for this doesn't, just another terribly designed perk that gets you free distance for doing nothing for no good reason. Also both effects are huge, the 3% I find easily noticable on surv and can make loops take longer to get through multiple times over and over again

I want the perk to be more punishing tunneler, not fair play one.

I never tunnel, and get 3 prenerf DS’d in end game because I didnt tunnel them to get rid of DS.

Blood rush currently has the same thing, punishing me for not tunneling them and let them heal. BR has low pick rate because its useless against tunnelers in the era when tunneling happens alot because DS nerf, which survivors dont want to use it.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3487663#Comment_3487663

I can take the perk not disable at 5 gens done, its just without the nerf suggestion, killers would complain

I understand doesn't make them right tho xd, still idk what to do w the perk exactly just bc I think exhaustion perks themselves are a mess

  • Agreed, same goes for deliverance, not necessarily agreed with the specific idea tho, shouldnt be disabled when 5 gens done

    Enough with the nerfs...

Eventually everything will be useless and boring. Everyone will be running the same perks then the cycle continues and they'll QQ about those. Enough is enough. Start buffing things to create variety please.

Nerfing some of the op things we have now will also create variety, there's more options than just busted and useless btw, look at ds and dh which are still very strong perks

    idk what to tell you.

I’ve offered practical advice that has always worked for me. There is nuance to that advice, that I haven’t expressed on account of this conversation being what it is, but on a surface level it holds water.

Even if you are forced to sit on a gen with the worst LOS and little-to-no resources for chase, very rarely are you doing so without additional information.

Your skill expression in those scenarios comes from how you play the macro game.

"very rarely are you doing so without additional information" source trust me bro

It shouldn't surprise anyone that while I'm speaking GENERALLY on gameplay strategy, one could point out exceptions to those rules. The existence of an exception does not automatically refute what I am saying, nor does it suggest that the concepts I've brought forth are worth disregarding.

A doctor will tell you that exercise is good for your health. You could say "It's below zero and there is ice all over the pavement, surely I'd break a few bones if I tried running outside." You would not be wrong for identifying the risks of exercising in winter, but you've also not disproven the doctor's advice--just as you've not disproven mine.

You're also not even talking about Hit N' Run at this point. The incredibly niche scenario you've provided can be skillfully approached in a variety of ways I'm not certain you're worth my time describing.

I'm hardly even cherry picking tho, sure specifically a 3 gen on lerys is a stretch, but the situation where you have to work on a gen near los blockers really isnt, youre not being realistic assuming that its always your decision whether you can or not

  • @nars said:

Reasonable. I feel like at the highest level of play, full meta navy seal swfs etc etc its moderately survivor sided. But really only if you are a tunneling blight etc, thats the only way to keep up with such a team.

i think in public matches its pretty even. Killer could maybe do with one more good regression perk but thats really my only gripe.

Yeah I think we p much agree, similarly a navy seal swf is pretty much the only way to keep up with such a killer

  • Moderately killer sided imo, I think killer has enough to keep up at the highest level, making it balanced or leaning towards survivor sided at the top. But for the rest of the skill ranges, I would say it's pretty certainly killer sided. Not necessarily extremely killer sided, but just firmly so. It's important to remember that what killer you choose is part of your loadout, and you can't expect to beat full meta without full meta. So if you want to beat really sweaty survivors, you should expect to have to play nurse, blight, or spirit in order to win

I'm not pretending anything. I've played the game for thousands of hours, and I've learned most, if not all, of the game's skill expressions.

While I don't consider DBD the most skill-intensive online PvP game, everything from the direction you walk/run when you first spawn down to the side of a gen you sit on is a skill. You "out skill" an undetectable killer through the gen you decide to work on, the side you sit on, and where you look, all relative to the how healthy you are, the perks you've brought with you, and the information you've gathered in the trial thus far.

Stealth killers seldom get free hits from me, because I position myself in such a way that I always see them before they see me, and I've already mapped out my escape route. All of that is an expression of skill.

Yeah very possible to do that on lerys in a 3 gen situation where all gens have los blockers all around, again, if we're lying

  • @KayTwoAyy said:

it's literally just something you can't deal with in solo

except you can... *see direct response to quote below*

You shouldn't have to use gen regression to stop gens from flying

You don't. I don't run gen regression, and I've never struggled with Killer. I'm not 4king every game, nor am I trying to, but gen speeds have never been a major issue for me because I've managed it through other means.

Survivors healing too quickly isn't an issue anymore

Doesn't mean it can't be an issue for anyone playing Killer. Heal speeds may have been nerfed, but Killers can still find themselves struggling to build pressure by keeping multiple survivors injured.

Killers getting the jump on you isn't a skill issue

It is 1000% a skill issue. Through map awareness, positioning, and camera placement, Survivors can mitigate the strength of Hit N' Run. If you struggle against Hit N' Run, and don't just hate it for what it is, you're not exercising a number of skills that can help you in your games. ...and until you can master those skills, you should run X, Y, and Z to help you. <--- quite literally Crowman's point.

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3486474#Comment_3486474

You said "advising someone to take perks just for the chance that it might counter the killer's playstyle is folly," which is why I included you in my response.

I don't care if YOU specifically struggle against Hit N' Run or not. You tried to diminish Crowman's argument on the basis that players shouldn't have to run perks to compensate for their weaknesses. That does not make any sense.

You're welcome to dislike Hit N' Run as a playstyle. However, I found what you said to Crowman to be disingenuous.

I don't know what you're referring to by quote below, but if it's perks, that's literally the whole problem. Because that's not a perk covering a weakness, that's a perk being a necessity.

You do, thanks for the anecdotal evidence though, it's meaningless, go against good survivors and lmk how that goes

Good. Maybe if you weren't lazy and commited to chases it wouldn't be an issue, that's how it should be

You can position your camera in whatever way, it's not gonna matter if the killer is undetectable and has los blockers. It's not even a discussion and it's not a skill issue, it's literally not rocket science. Los blockers + no terror radius means theres no way to tell when the killer is coming, get over it and stop making excuses such as being forced to run perks which are still not just to cover weaknesses, but a literal necessity which shouldnt be a thing.

Also I find it comical you're calling anyone else here "disingenuous" when you are beating around the bush pretending hit and run takes skill or you can simply look at the killer through walls to avoid being ambushed by them, what an absolute joke, get real

  • That's weird, seems like you 3 outed despite obviously calling hit and run OP /s

  • @LordGlint said:

It's OK, one day Pig will be nerfed and all those OP Wraiths will get what's coming to them. Until then, ppl will just keep defending these SSS tier killers who just beat everyone (not you though). The OP strat of looking at the bigger picture instead of 1 survivor at a time is the problem with DBD I'm sure. It's not like the killer you keep whining...err... rightfully blasting is one of the first 3 killers in the game. THIS is what's gonna be DBDs downfall. How dare ppl think to hit someone else and not hit you twice!!! That person must just hate fun.

You ever gonna stop pretending anyone was calling anything here OP? Or you are gonna CONTINUE putting words in my mouth and being ignorant, sorry that I don't wanna engage with someone like you, not really. Go ahead and keep dancing around with your sarcasm instead of actually making decent points, can't blame you since you've shown to have none :)))

I don't run slowdown. I do just fine.

    "Hurrrr low MMR"

Why are you quoting things im not even saying XD anyways yeah sorry to break it to you, but you're not exactly going against good players consistently in pubs, nobody is, because MMR doesn't work well. But surely if you're good enough at hit and run you should be able to beat eternal? You just have to get better right? Lmaoooo

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3486473#Comment_3486473

There it is. "you must be low MMR" classic. I got Bingo.

No, if you NEED fully stacked gen regression to cope with survivors, you are boosted, and you are in an MMR bracket you should not be in.

Clearly you don't understand the fundamentals of this game. I have nothing to discuss with you. Play and learn more about the game and then come back because you are factually incorrect saying you don't need any gen regression to keep up👍Or if you prefer, go ahead and beat team eternal without using any gen regression, lmk how that goes

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3486471#Comment_3486471

You don't seem to understand. If you can't hit and run, can't tunnel, can't camp, can't 3 gen, all that's left is behaving like a bot. You just want killer bots?

A good killer employs all of these when they're needed. No one is purely playing hit and run, no one hits and then ALWAYS runs away. That's insane.

What's stopping you from doing any of those things? Also you're wrong, I've went against it myself and seen it plenty of times, it's literally scratched mirror myers' whole playstyle.

Also.....playing for chases isn't playing like a bot, If you think that, maybe you're a bot xd

  • @Seraphor said:

You shouldn't have to use gen regression to stop gens from flying

No, not if you maintain enough pressure via hit and run you don't.

Survivors healing too quickly isn't an issue anymore

Precisely what makes hit and run effective.

Difficulty finding survivors is mostly a skill issue, as well as struggling to chain tiles together, missing skill checks

Finding survivors is precisely the skill needed to make hit and run effective.

You quite literally need gen regression to keep up with good survivors, if you think otherwise you're clearly just not facing good survivors

"Prescisely what makes hit and run effective" your point? Lmao

x2 apparently, not a skill btw, literally just go up to gen and you either find a survivor there or don't. Done lying? Like legit its crazy

  • @Seraphor said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3486457#Comment_3486457

Knowing when to commit to a chase and when to 'bounce' and come back when the survivor is disadvantaged is exactly the same kind of skill expression as you attribute to chases.

Chase powers? If you have one.

Lmao, 'whiffing M1s is a strat' ok.

Ok any other killers besides Wraith and Legion? or is every killer fundamentally skill-less if they're not just running around a pallet 50 times until they let you stun them and repeat?

Killers that do this will just always bounce as long as there's any tile, and if there isn't, then they are quite literally just getting a down for doing nothing.

Chase powers indeed, such as wraith's uncloak speed boost. Shame legion doesn't have any because he's designed terribly, and ghost face you're meant to get exposes off.

Love how you completely ignore my point about how your logic of "skill-less strat" and "doesn't work against good players" makes ZERO sense.

Also I have yet to understand why you keep saying this nonsense about "any other killers besides wraith and legion?" I already answered you and it has no point to it. But yeah, you are fundamentally skill-less if you never go for mindgames or commit to chases :)

Maybe one day hit and run defenders will stop being as disingenuous as they are :P

Crowman advised you to take perks that compensate for your weaknesses, not account for the chance of something happening.

You're both so anti-Hit N' Run that you can't even process fundamental gameplay strategy for what it is. If you struggle with ANYTHING in the game, the natural response anyone should have is to recommend you run certain perks or play in such a way that minimizes your struggle.

Gens flying too fast? "Use gen regression."

Survivors healing too quickly? "Use Sloppy"

Difficulty finding Survivors? "Use Aura Reading"

Struggling to chain tiles together? "Windows of Opportunity"

    Bad at skill checks? "Technician"

Killers constantly getting the drop on you? "Sprint Burst"

Y'all really going to pretend like any of those are excuses and/or niche advice? If you struggle with any element of the game, and there are perks you can run that raise your performance in those areas, you are a fool for not running those perks. It's common sense.

Except it's not even a personal weakness, it's literally just something you can't deal with in solo, not to mention that their entire point has been that it's boring as opposed to it being effective.

You shouldn't have to use gen regression to stop gens from flying

Survivors healing too quickly isn't an issue anymore

Difficulty finding survivors is mostly a skill issue, as well as struggling to chain tiles together, missing skill checks

Killers getting the jump on you isn't a skill issue, there's literally nothing you can do about it in solo, it's already been explained. Stop being so ignorant to the problem just saying it's a skill issue regardless of whether it is or isn't. You shouldn't have to run perks to deal with these issues.

It's like saying "bad at being in a swf? just run bond" or "bad at winning games vs meta? just use meta?" as if those aren't LITERAL necessities.

  • Ah I see you edited this.

Chase involves mindgames, chase powers, knowing when to break or vault, etc. What's skillful about bouncing the moment you injure someone? It's a monotonous and lazy cycle.

Also it being skill-less and not working against good survivors (aka swfs, lol, lmao even) aren't mutually exclusive. In fact, in a perfect world skill-less strats would never work against good players, wiffing all your m1s is also a skill-less strat that doesn't work against good survivors lmao. Don't know what makes you think I "can't have it both ways."

There's a reason wraith and legion are considered some of the easiest killers to play, it's because they are, because they rely on a brainless strat. It's getting real obnoxious seeing all these disingenuous takes saying chase isn't fun just to defend the braindamage that is hnr, when it's been MASSIVELY agreed upon that chase is the fun part of dbd for ages....

  • @LordGlint said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3486413#Comment_3486413

The deathslinger thing was just me calling something "free hits" like you did. It's a dumb concept that went over your head even when labeled.

Back in the day, we'd tell killers to avoid spending too much time on 1 survivor because their teammates would hammer out gens unimpeded. This was the original use of the phrase "tunneling" as in tunnel vision. You can find videos on YouTube of survivors having 5 gen chases and such.

The correct answer to avoid that is doing what you're complaining about. Typically you aim for a hit or a pallet, and if the survivor uses the speed boost to make it to pallet city... leave them. This is especially true for killers without a solid chase based power like Sadako or Ghostface.

Now... you can say you don't like something, but that doesn't mean its dumb. It also doesn't mean its "bad for the game" just because you don't like it. You're gonna have things in this game, as well as basically every multi-player game that you personally like more than other things. This does not mean you can dictate how others play by labeling it all "dumb" or "unhealthy to the game".

Except the effort deathslinger takes to get a hit is nowhere near comparable to that of a hnr killer, it's not a dumb concept, you're just applying it in a way that makes no sense. Legion can very much get free hits, dang neear objectively speaking, it's not a hard concept....

Mind you I haven't just said "I don't like it" over and over again, I've explained what makes it dumb. It takes no skill, it's lazy, it's boring (subjective but most ppl find chases fun), and it's a pubstomp playstyle. Lazy pubstomp playstyles cannot be argued to be good for the game, if we're being honest which I know we're still not.

Maybe one day you and crow will try to start reading, but you're just not right now. Putting words in my mouth telling me I'm saying hit and run is dumb just because I don't like it despite the fact I've made actual points as to what makes it unhealthy. Meanwhile guess what you're doing, saying it is good for the game just because bhvr encourages it, even though that's just as illogical as if I said hit and run is unhealthy because I don't like it (which I didn't)

  • For stealth killers its the same thing, just without "cloaking." For legion its just going into frenzy to get a guaranteeed hit, and then going towards others. Then for every other killer they just wouldn't really commit to hit and run strats. I don't really see what your point is with this

  • @Thusly_Boned said:

    https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3485655#Comment_3485655

Bouncing around the map playing a meta hit and run game is the least brainless style one can use as killer. When executed properly, a hit and run playstyle feels oppressive, but it's hard to pull off against decent+ survs.

Successfully applying pressure to multiple survivors at once (if the survs are any good) may be the hardest thing to do in the entire game. It takes awareness, strategy, and effort. If you're not good you'll get owned.

Now tunneling? That is brainless. Find surv, Keep them in your sight until dead, repeat. It's lizard brain stuff. Successful hit and run is astrophysics in comparison.

Hit and run only feels oppressive because it's just a pubstomp playstyle, not hard to pull off in the slightest, just doesn't work against coordinated swfs. There's no skill in go up to gen, uncloak, hit, cloak, kick gen, repeat. At least tunneling requires skill in being effective in chase vs your opponennt, that's what really becomes difficult vs decent survs. Hit and run is boring because it involves no chase, and funnily enough that's also why it's skill-less, constantly leaving areas just after you hit someone and/or kick a gen there is not intelligent

I can't believe I pointed out the deathslinger was sarcasm and you still went on about it, lol. Your initial complaint was hit and run, but you sem fixated on stealth killers now. You brought up Legion, but him walking up to anyone injured and M1ing them is apparently uncounterable. The 32 meterTR and red stain isn't enough of a clue.

Then idk why you even went on about deathslinger because it literally isn't comparable to the amount of effort hitting someone as legion or a stealth killer takes.

I'm fixated on stealth killers now? Maybe because they excel at hit and run strats? Crazy idea??? I never said legion was uncounterable btw, still just boring, and the 32m TR and red stain just don't apply to stealth killers. It's funny how you're now just cherry picking to support your argument, acting like it's only legion and completely ignoring stealth killers' existence. It's just absurd

There is some maps are problematic, true but i don't think most of maps are that bad. They are just fine. But some killers are so weak, even maps like Midwich probably feeling bad for them. So these killers should be buffed.

I am not against buffing the other side , it's just i am asking for more fun and healthy game design.

I agree completely, I want more fun game design too, it realistically just can't really be that way yet, esp depending on how much they're prioritizing it, which noone knows

Hit and Run is the equivalent to distortion gen-rushing tbh.

If they are very common perks, then taking a perk to counter them is reasonable. It's not like I'm telling you to take some bad perk that counters a very niche situation.

Wraith isn't even a top killer in dbd and you're complaining about how unstoppable he is when the killer player using his power effectively. Some point you just have to realize, it's not the killer who is at fault.

No, it's not reasonable. Just because they're very common perks means nothing, otr is a common perk quite literally because it's necessary to counter tunneling, that's stupid. Also can you read my guy? They quite literally said that wraith isn't uncounterable and they just find it boring, I don't think they have anything they need to realize, you just need to stop making excuses for a playstyle that takes no skill and actually read anything that's being said

What are you talking about? Surely that's "free hits". Deathslinger JUST has to shoot you twice. That's like double free hits. That's an all you can hits buffet. This is heavy sarcasm incase you're about to write a book about it btw.

You still haven't mentioned how Legion using his power correctly instead of only stabbing 1 person is bad. Just that you lack situational awareness on if the killer is currently chasing someone and where that is. That first part is basekit now by looking at your hud.

"Deathslinger just has to shoot you twice" ever heard of looping, or dodging, or breaking LOS? Or maybe consider that aiming deathslingers gun actually takes skill? What an insane skill issue lmao. Also yeah I quite literally have explained why it's bad, it's because it's a no skill pubstomp strat. Hate to break it to you but just because you quite literally lack info you would get from a swf doesnt mean its a skill issue, theres quite literally often no way to tell some things even if you have game sense. You really think if you don't currently see that a survivor is in chase, everyone should just stop what they're doing and get to a safe tile until someone starts getting chased? Where in swf you can literally just heal up, like you should be able to do in solo....Not to mention that wraith doesnt initiate chase while cloaked so, great, even less way to know whats happening, you sound completely ridiculous

I play plenty of survivor. That's why I can tell you, you're failure to adapt to the situation at hand is your own fault. If you are constantly finding yourself having issues dealing with hit and run strats, well you have perks to help.

Sprint Burst is great at getting you out of unsafe areas to safer ones.

You can use Inner Healing and Med-kits for self healing. CoH is still very effective into hit and run strats even if you can't heal yourself with it anymore.

You even have access to tools to help get gens done quicker such as Deja Vu and Prove Thyself.

Complaining about hit and run just shows you have no ability to adapt outside of chase around a pallet.

Anything that doesnt involve having to use specific perks or are you just gonna keep up with the excuses? You're basically admitting that you're forced to run SB and a medkit or some other thing to help you get healed (such as swfing) or else hnr doesnt actually have decent counterplay. And even then, wraith can just get u to use ur SB and immediatley bounce, so yeah. Complaining about hit and run doesnt show anything besides understanding what actually makes dbd fun and interesting. Thinking hit and run has skill expression just shows you're a lazy killer. Stop making excuses for this brainless playstyle already, its so obnoxiously forced

Tunnelling is popular strategy from day one.

It was understandable when maps was so survivorside.

It was tolerable when DS was strong.

Now maps nerfed and DS is garbage.

So why BHVR is not doing anything for this unhealthy strategy. It's very hated by survivors but yet BHVR is just ignoring all complains.

Imagine you are paying for this game but then one player just does not allow you to play.

Before someone is coming with "USE OTR" let me say this. OtR is the worst anti-tunnel perk ever. It has very easy counter, early hit. DS was so much better.

Plus DS was unexpected, killer did not know you have it or not. But it's so easy to figure if you have OTR.

That's a bit of a stretch honestly...maps are still stupid, DS is still strong despite what sheep say, OTR exists, gens can go by very quickly still, etc. Tunneling is still a necessary evil, it can't really go away until they fix the things that make it as such or at the same time, so it's a lot of work especially for the bhvr standards we know

You're just explaining a skill issue. You refuse to heal up and try to force gens that are unsafe while injured and then cry that the killer caught you out in the open.

You're inability to play against any tactics that doesn't involve running around a pallet is your problem.

Being able to heal up isnt up to you because you have to find a teammate...And when you do itll waste an entire 40s w sloppy....And the gens being unsafe also isnt up to you because 3 gen situations like they literally just explained. The only problem here is your inability to play in a way that actually takes skill (chasing), hit and run isnt skillful at all, stop making excuses for it

Yeah let me go find an ally to heal through sloppy butcher and then go back to the gen and then get hit again anyways and repeat until someone gets bored and goes next.

Not to mention sometimes 3-gens can have 2/3 being unsafe so its not like you can ignore them.

Hit and Run is stale, made even worse with healing nerfs + sloppy being popular, the only reason why I don't think it should get nerfed is because killers have little else to work with but I definitely would like it to get smashed once killers get buffed.

And dont forget thats if you can find an ally, good luck doing that in solo lol. And like you said with 3 gens, its literally part of 3 gen strats, which I thought we all agreed were boring af around here? Pretty obv that hnr is just a lazy pubstomp strat if we're being honest, but I know we're not

    Unsafe Gen

That's the keyword right there. You took a huge risk against a wraith while injured and it didn't pay out.

What are you supposed to do? Just never do gens while injured? Aka dont do gens ever because a wraith will 100% injure you just by stealthing if you're not literally doing a gen under a pallet

The skill expression in question: Wow I uncloak blocking a loopable object while the survivor is doing an unsafe gen and lunge for a free down.

    Ong LMAO

What's funny is that it's more braindead for everyone killer to just hold W at every loop until they Bloodlust for hits. There's more skill expression in hit and run comparatively because you need to have good map awareness to create ambush points on injured survivors.

Never heard a less true thing lol. Chasing isn't literally just holding W for bloodlust, unless you're bad at chasing ig, its mindgames and powers and at all interesting. Hit and run is just sneaking up on survivors and bouncing right after you injure them, there is ZERO skill expression to it whatsoever

How is it not good for the game to have a diversity in playstyles? If they only had 1 playstyle and every killer was expected to play the same way... this game would have died. Who would bother buying new killers if they played the exact same way?

How is it "free hits"? You're still getting hit... twice. That's them outplaying you. You lost track of where the killer was and got punished for it. You missplayed That's not "pushing a button and 4 ppl dying". THAT was a complete stretch. That's nowhere near what were talking about and is not in the game. The devs don't encourage the "press 1 button and 4 ppl die" playstyle, so let's not make stuff up to try to have a point.

Ah yes, clearly nurse and deathslinger are exactly the same killer since they're both chasers.

It's free hits because it's just stealthing up on someone, it's an outplay in terms of results, not in terms of skill. It's not you "misplaying," you can't just keep track of the killer just because you want to....the killer is literally just sneaking up on you twice, you're just saying it's a survivor misplay with no actual reasoning behind it because you're tying skill to results even though that's not how it works.

Also ever heard of an example? Because I don't remember ever saying such a thing was in fact in the game, just fits what you're talking about since you seem to consider a survivor getting hit a "misplay" regardless of how much skill it took the killer or how much opportunity there was for the survivor to avoid it. So let's not put words in my mouth to try to have a point.

why do survivors get a free escape for losing the game?

if bhvr is just gonna hand out base kit perks for survivors to enforce the rule book hatch should be removed it would fix alot of issue with survivors sitting on hatch and stalling out the game because the killer must watch them leave.

    thoughts?

Ok, then I assume you're ok with adding anti camp in endgame so killers cant get free kills for losing the game

The horror aspect doesn't come from any literal jumpscare.

It's the suspense that builds from uncertainty. The inability to predict when you'll be in chase next, and the fear that the Killer will come over to you at any moment, and the need to be ready to run at the drop of a hat. All of that contributes to a Survivor's anxiety and nervousness in a trial.

If you're in a SWF, there won't be that same fear factor, but there is definitely something to be said about the coordination and communication required to play against Hit N' Run. There is way more teamwork required, because the communication needs to be constant.

I won't tell you that you don't derive enjoymeny or scares/suspense from that bc obv its all subjective, but just imo, I really dont find it very interesting. It just feels like "oh cool I'm gonna go down when this guy comes to me, too bad so sad ig" it just feels way more disappointing/anticlimatic to me

You can prefer whatever playstyle you want, but when the game is specifically setup to cater to those OTHER styles too, it means it's perfectly fine for ppl to do that. This game has a wide cast of killers that are not going to be played the exact same ways. To expect a killer to forgo their own power and just run in circles as "man with knife" is what's truly dumb. If you're being outplayed by a "dumb" playstyle, it's not dumb. If you're NOT being outplayed, then why complain about killers getting "easy hits" that they're not getting against you.

I never said you couldn't play or prefer any playstyle you want, I'm just saying it's dumb and not good for the game, there's a difference. "If you're being outplayed by a "dumb" playstyle, it's not dumb." That's just wrong because what makes it dumb is that it's a playstyle that quite literally centers around only getting free hits. It lets you get hits or "outplays" that take zero effort or skill, there's no merit to your logic

Imagine there was a "playstyle" that let you just press a button and all 4 survivors immediately died. Clearly you outplayed them, since they all died, and clearly it's not a dumb playstyle because you outplayed them. Like naw, that aint how it works
