You made a points and i can agree on some things, but I still think this perk needs a nerf. This evening I played a lot of Clown (he's pretty fun) and encountered MoM along with Adrenaline and Insta-Heals alot (Rank 8). But I'm more of a survivor main.
Your first argument is, that nearly every killer has the ability to "counter" this perk. I can savely say, when you slow down a survivor with a good aimed bottle, it's not a counter to MoM. Not at all. (believe me. really.) You still have your cooldown from your third hit and it's enough distance for them to get to a better spot.
You also mentioned the "downside" of MoM but I rarely see this. Most of the time, the dude with MoM just stays injured for a long time and heals himself up to 100%, if he needs to (when i found him). MoM rarely triggers in the early game if you don't tunnel the dude with it or found him very first.
Survivors at high ranks have no problem with being seen at all, it's not really a downside. The downside should be LIKE the upside. Like OoO- you see the killer, the killer sees you. MoM should help you in a chase, so should the downside help the killer in a chase. Tbh, it's the amount of MoM in a trial that ######### me over and also the combination with Adrenaline and insta-heals. Combined with decent or even good survivors and it's a nightmare for non-meta-killers.

I prefer Franklins, but mainly because it's so satisfying to run it with either Hag or Trapper and using their downed flashlights as bait. They always go back for them.... and hearing that SNAP is so good.I allways wanted to try that, but I don't have franklins on my hag ;_;
I don't see the huge time-waste-factor with franklins tho. But, except for a personal choice, I think it works better for non-instadowns killers. I don't wanna M1 as a Hillbilly, if i have the chance to down them.

Lightborn is the better counter. The problem with Franklin's is that you have to hit them first which can be a challenge depending on where you find them. The second problem with Franklin's is that even if you force them to drop their flashlight they can just pick it right back up again because reasons. Shitheads insist "Oh, that's fine! They're losing 1-2 seconds in the chase to pick up their items!" Even though they might drop them in front of a safe pallet or a window or they might have Sprint Burst or whatever. They don't care if you make them drop their item because they will pick it right back up and if not then one of their buddies will. That's exactly what I'm thinking too. However, most killers I face do equip franklin's instead. Or they just dodge the lobby in the first place. I don't understand why, just equip lightborn, watch them suffer and enjoy the fact that they're not doing gens because they want to save their mates.

I have mixed feelings about 3 gen tactics. When I play killer, I sometimes just end up with it, without aiming for it (happens on The Game often). I try to do a 3 gen tactic sometimes with trapper and hag, because they are more defensive killers. I think you can break this tactics easily as a survivor, EXCEPT you're playing against a doc. And this killer is the reason why nobody likes 3 gen tactics. His terror radius probably covers up all 3 gens. You constantly getting madness. He just pushes you madness 3, kicks the generator and starts patrolling again. No chase, no hits, Just endless suffering because you are not able to complete a generator, because you have to snap out first and/or have to do a very small skill check on a gen because he runs orvercharge and overwhelming pressence. I can see the point of "holding game hostage" here. Games shouldn't be an hour long.
However, I highly recommend to do a 3 gen tactics on long maps (f.e. azaroths resting place), especially if you play a mid or low tier killer. There is no way you can build enough map pressure on these there. -

It would be nice for Ruin to not be mandatory for every killer at high rank.This.. But for that the game will need many changes to be slowed down like, more objectives for survivors and slower repairs to the generators. The matches without ruin are too fast and only gives to the killer the opportunity to kill (with luck) only one survivor.
Yes to other objectives, No to slower repairing speed. Gens are already pretty boring, I really don't want to stick longer on them.
Honestly, Ruin doesn't even do anything. Some survivors are just like "idc about the totem, lets do gens" and hit nearly every great skillcheck. doing a gen in no time. Ruin just buys time because survivors are looking for it instead of doing gens. The spawns are so awful. Definively they need and increased cleansing time and some hard skillchecks, because it's so easy to break them. And for the love of god.. they need to remove the totem spawns in the open, spawns in generators and prevent survivors spawning on them.
Skill Checks won't do ######### except hurting new players. I agree with the awful totem spots tho. I think the cleansing times are ok.

I guess sprint burst and self care are top tier perks, you can't go wrong with them. probably don't use DS, because some killers love to tunnel their obsession...
More important than perks are map knowledge, mind gaming and being able to look behind you. Perks are just extras. I play with different perk builds all the time, some of them do not include any meta perks. it works fine and is fun!
I did learn a lot of stuff watching dead by daylight streamers. Also you learn alot if you play the opposite side. -
Play what you like and enjoy.
It's simple like that! You can hit Rank 1 with every killer. Really. It's probably harder for some killers, but not impossible at all. "4-man-flashlight-genrushing"-squads can happen, but honestly, it's not that often that you will never hit rank 1 because of them. For every annoying and unwinnable round against godlike survivors, there are trials against f.e. just 3 people. Or salty DCing kids. None of these things are fine, but it's somehow balanced in the end.
If you main a killer, you know his strength and weakness. You know which add-ons work fine, which perks are the best, etc. A wraith-main can be really, really terrifying...
The rest is RNG. Nothing you can do about it anyway

I remember the time when Lullaby was bugged and there was no notification all the time. I really, really enjoyed it and it felt somehow balanced.
Unfortunately, they "fixed" it.
I think Ruin is fine and don't need this kind of protection in the beginning. The only thing I want to change are the totem spawns in general (on hills, in the middle of the open, next to a generator, SURVIVOR SPAWNS RIGHT NEXT TO IT).
Lullaby would be fine if they would remove the warning at the beginning. I don't think it was somehow overpowered when it was bugged. I also like your succession, that it spawns after you earn one token.
Devour Hope suffers, like Ruin, from bad totem placement. I don't think it needs a protection the beginning because it's a really really strong perk in general. Now that I think about it, Lullaby and Devour Hope are the best designed Hex Perks. You actually need to DO something for them. You get a reward for being a good killer (hooking someone and not camping). Ruin on the other hand is a time saver. It also helps camping killers alot.
I totally forgot about 3rd Seal! Probably because it's not worth a perkslot. This Hex Perk really needs some kind of protection. All the time tho. Maybe lit totems look like dull totems after you've been cursed? But I like that you also have to work for the effect. Even when the effect is kinda meh.
I will not talk about NOED tho.

I'm absolutely in love with "Dance with me". I run it with Quick and Quiet. It really is effective against nurses tho.
I think "Windows of Opportunity" is okay. It's a good beginner perk I guess? But it's not worth a perk slot I think.
I... I can't say much about "Boil over". I have my Kate at P3 already, but never got Boil over on tier 2 or 3. In fact, I never used it lol. -

Welcome to Shelter Woods, the only map in the game when you have Balanced Landing on.You could jump into the basement. ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Don't rule that out as a juke point. I've lost the Killer a time or two because I ditched into the basement instead of looping the Shack. They misplayed and ended up wandering off in search of me elsewhere. I've also been juked there a couple times, and now I know to doublecheck the stairs to see if a Survivor is crouched there hiding.
I meant "jump into the basement" as a joke to trigger Balanced Landing. Well, I never tried that, so maybe it'll work? haha
But ofc you're right. Always do the unexpect. Maybe I'll try that too. -

When ever you get downed and the killer picks you up you have the option to wiggle, right? Have you even been right about to wiggle out at 99% and then the killer teleports to the hook which stops your wiggle so you don't wiggle out. I have died many times because of that and It gets annoying after a while. For example, let's say you are the last survivor and you are looking for the hatch then get caught. The only option is to run, right? The killer downs you and you see the hatch in the distance and you are at 99% wiggle then the killer teleports/Vacuum to the hook and you die because of that. It's like pallet vacuum but for killer. In my opinion I think this should be fixed. What survivor player like to call "hook vacuum" is just the animation getting in line, because player complained about the hook teleport.
Now the animation is just smoother, but as soon as the hook prompt appears and is hit so that the animation start you are hooked. Period.
99% is not a 100, so you get hooked, even if the latency seem to fill your bar to 100.
Do you know how the "hook vacuum" could get fixed?
Swivel hooks for killer.
This would remove the need to line up the animation.
Survivor can already unhook from all angle, why not killer hook from all angles?Let me guess, you don't like that solution, right?^^
Survivor try now to get a pass on all kind of made up "vacuums" just because their unintended pallet vacuum was fixed at last.
It only took the Devs a year to realize that buff to pallets was to much.@Wolf74 is right. I rather stick with the "vakuum" than killers hooking from every angle lol.
to be honest, I also complain alot about being at 100% but not getting ot the shoulder in time. But it would simply make me happy, if they make the bar a little bit "longer"? So it doesn't look like you're done with the action and nothing happens.

The last couple days I played dead by daylight as a survivor, were very stressfull and unfun. Not everything was toxic behaviour but... well, still, unfun.
I played solo alot. And I played with only 2 mates against the killer ALOT. There was literally NO MERCY. 3vs1 and the killer just camped, tunneled and/or slugged the ######### out of us. We weren't even able to get some unhook points. It also didn't matter that someone burnt a BPS. I don't want to farm or get out of the trial, but I want a fair chance, a little bit of sympathy. but no. This is, for me, toxic behaviour.I actually thought, with the new update, the killer would play more relaxed, because pallets are more risky. But it's the total opposite. In forums and discussion, I was allways a little bit killer sided, because I thought, and still think, they should buff some of them etc. But right now? It sucks to play survivor. It doesn't matter if you play solo queue or with friends, the killers tunnel and camp all day long. It doesn't matter if you bring an item or not, the killer is full equiped with some kind of instas, ruin & noed and a mori. I barely can get 10k points, even if I manage to escape, because the killer camps all the time.
"i equip noed because i get gen rushed" PROBABLY BECAUSE YOU CAMP AND WE WON'T RISK OUR ASSES, JESUS. I get lame excuses in every after game chat. "you looped", "you gen rushed", "the map is unfair", "you were able to juke me for too long". sightsI was never a fan of Decisive Strike or meta perk builds. I never really used insta heals or generators. But at the moment? Damn, the really want me to. -.-
(ofc I know that not everyone plays like that. there are a lot of good and fair killers out there and I love them all
, but I just noticed it got worse.) -
Friends of mine started playing back in the day and I also watched a Youtuber checking this game out. I really, really wanted to play, but I didn't buy the game immediately, because you weren't ably the change the key bindings (i'm left-handed and play.. strange.). After they updated that, I bought it. At the beginnning I was really afraid of the killers. And also, I never played on my own and we ALLWAYS played in KYF. Then, we started to play against others and I somehow got attached to it. Already 2k hours. Damn, time flies so fast.

Well, they reduced the terror radius, maybe that was the cube! /s
I agree completely. They could buff her movement speed and take a look at some add ons (looking at you, scarred hand). Maybe also buff her standard teleport range? I'm lookin forward to some changes, I'd love to play her more.

Hm, it's hard to give it an effect that's not too strong and also fits with other situations, besides unhooking, that rewards you with a stack, like flashlight saves, pallet saves und taking a hit while body blocking.

I have one word for him. D I S G U S T I N G
Look at his bald head, this obnoxious smile. This big ugly wiggling belly. AND THE LAUGHING, goddamn!I can imagine him sitting in a big chair, just in his underwear, laughing and snorting, with big yellow marks on his shirt and boxers and saliva on his double chin. I can see the beer in his hand and a cigar in the other one. Empty bottles everywhere, the air smells like alcohol, blood and sweat. I see him grabbing his crotch, watching porn at the tv and licking cut fingers. D I S G U S T I N G

We don't counter.
That's all.
We just hope that survivors aren't dicks. While vaulting an "infinite" one time is not the problem, allways running right to it after being spotted and starting to loop the hell out of it, is.
I have no idea why these windows still exists. The cowshed is even worse because there are 2 strong windows, instead of one.
The new meta for those killers will probably be equipping bamboozle. And I will hate that. Of course, it's nice against infinites but it also gets rid of every L- and T- Wall juke. Windows are the only ressource for survivors, that can't be broken, and with bamboozle you will automatically lose these jukes. No need for a mindgame.
This perk is just a ######### fix for a big problem. BHVR, please stop fixing game mechanic problems with perks.
