  • I adore how Hag mains are always passionate enough to drop dissertations about our muddy girl. Thanks for this one, OP!

I will add a couple of things:

    1. Hag is extremely vulnerable to the "s tech" (which tbh feels less like tech and more like unintended gameplay). So much so that there are some games which are unwinnable from the start. If teams are coordinated and just run around mostly looking backwards just in case then she'll struggle for a 1k. There are very very few other killers who can be beaten like that with just about no counterplay from the killer side. This is her biggest issue in my opinion, as no killer should be placed in an unwinnable game. To that end, while I think increased lunge out of a teleport is a great buff that she desperately needs, it won't be enough. I run coup every game and even that doesn't come close to countering it. I've tested coup extensively and the tech still beats it every time. So while basekit lunge increases are needed for other reasons, for it to fix the problem here it would have to be significantly longer than coup, which feels a bit silly. I think that bhvr should experiment with some haste/hinder effects in addition to a weaker basekit coup to nullify the problem and ensure that traps set off are always dangerous.
    2. You used to be able to see the aura of your mud phantasms turn and face survivors. At some point, the Devs added a loud noise notification bubble over the phantasm, so you can't really anymore. I'd love to see that change reverted.
    3. I liked your perk list, though I run very different ones that I think you and other hags might enjoy. Getting injuries and keeping them is a good strategy but I got tired of strong healing builds shutting me down. With how rare hits can be in some games, I've now opted for exposed perks over slowdown and I'm having pretty good success and more enjoyable games. My build right now is: make your choice, starstruck, friends till the end, and coup. If you prefer a more "defensive" style, drop myc for agitation. The build forces you to rely on a snowball for a win, so you need to be the most aggressive hag you can be. Focus on chase traps and shut down important loops early. Ignore Gen progress, it doesn't matter, the only thing that matters is getting a snowball of exposed effects. I seriously can't recommend it enough if you play a more aggressive style already.

I'm also of the opinion that mint rag is awful and I hate shackles because you lose out on mind games and opportunities that come from the camera swing. That's personal preference though.

OP, thanks again for the post. We are all on the same side here which is so nice to see. We love the hag, we can win with her, but she's got some issues that shouldn't be ignored.

    Gl in the fog, everyone!

  • Of course! Always excited to see other people who care about the Hag!

I think the important thing is getting rid of unintended and unfair counterplay. How you get there - lunge, hinder, anything - is just a detail that requires testing. I strongly believe that the fixes for this should be in her basekit, add-ons should offer more flexibility or options.

Once that's taken care of, and it would be massive, then I also think she could use a few quality of life changes, too, like a bigger basekit teleport range and some sort of notification when traps are wiped.

  • Thank you so much for writing this post. Very strong arguments, very well organized.

I really hope that BHVR sees this post and others like it from the few of us Hag mains that are left and give her the much-needed attention to keep one of the most unique and expressive killers a chance in today's DBD.

You are 100% right, an unintended and exploitative counter with absolutely zero downside can effectively remove her power and makes winning against good teams quite literally impossible on some maps. I don't see how something so simple should be able to so thoroughly punish the killer from using their power. Instead, rewarding prediction on BOTH sides of the matchup should be prioritized, as you pointed out.

I do want to point out that even running coup de grace now does not guarantee a hit against this exploit and would add a small but important hindered penalty on top of your suggested lunge buff to really make sure that stepping in traps is still dangerous.

I have also tried writing similar posts. I hope this one gains traction and gets in front of some people at BHVR. We might not play the most popular killer, but Hag mains do love her, we love the game, and we just want to see the Hag get to a place where she feels fair and rewarding to play again.

  • Makes you wonder a lot of things.

Hag is desperately in need of changes.

  • Oh, yeah, none of them.

This is a really huge problem for The Hag, but she cannot consistently hit survivors who don't want to be hit.

If you want to see for yourself, Michi made a video in which all of these are tested.

    The video is here:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4pGhPp1ZEvE&

If you want to jump straight to seeing the add-ons, go to 6:00

  • I think that some people in this thread are arguing past each other. I do not see how (except if the time is really really long) you can make an argument that this change is a buff. Hag just gets more and simpler counterplay to her kit with no compensation. Good Hag players (some of whom are here in the thread) have been complaining forever that her power has a lot of counters already and have been asking for a buff to compensate and bring her in line with other killers that have a high skill in -> power out ratio.

Playing Hag is difficult and comes with disadvantages. As the game continues to develop, these seem to be growing and it makes sense that Hag mains do not love that pattern. This is not about wanting easy wins or stronger camping, as some are quick to judge. Please try to understand the arguments being laid out by people who really enjoy this killer. Hag counterplay is not mechanically demanding and required the same thinking and tactics to beat as the Hag needed to win. This change just adds some weight to an already imbalanced scale.

Serious props to Foodie for sticking with the thread, updating it, and arguing for all of us muddy lady enjoyers.

The situation you're describing is a slower, more coordinated approach to counter her as a swf which is a whole different issue. If anything, doing this method is a lot slower than flashlight Andies and if they know it's a Hag, they can drop a Flashlight early. I don't think this change is going to ruin Hag or anything

I don't think the change will RUIN Hag, but it adds another layer of consistent counters to a killer that already has a lot of them. The change means her area denial game is hurt in favor of her chase game. I think her chases were already pretty good, so it feels like a straight up nerf. To the 12 people who still main Hag, this just feels bad. Just about every patch this past year has hurt her, so it feels like adding insult to injury.

Hopefully the devs consider a buff to compensate.

  • This nerf screams "we did not talk to anyone who mains Hag at a high level" and I can't see it being the end of this conversation. I think that she has gotten a noticeable buff to her chasing power here, but it is overshadowed by a large nerf to her map control. It will incentivize her campy playstyle that she is unfortunately known for without addressing the issues with her kit. I am ready to see double trapped hooks and 3 gens from players who are trying to overcome this nerf instead of some muddy hag paradise in which she is the sneaky tactical killer she could be if she got some close attention paid to her already substantial issues.

  • Thank you so much for compiling these. Hag constantly gets bugs that can last for months before either quietly being fixed without patch notes or just remaining broken and ignored.

You are doing the entity's work, here, and it is appreciated!

I think Hag is like most killers in that she has a bunch of useful-ish add-ons, a couple of good ones, some bad ones, and some oddballs that may or may not be useful but can maybe be fun to play with regardless? 🤷‍♂️ One interesting thing with Hag is she has a bunch of add-ons that stack so you can run two of the same kind to get a more powerful stacked specialized effect (e.g. stacking two speed add-ons or two durations, etc)

    The Good

Increased setting speed can be nice for mid-chase zoning placements, such as when someone is on the opposite end of a pallet and you want to drop one on your end of it to zone them out if they try and loop. Personally I sometimes like to stack two of these together for super quick placements just because it’s kind of neat to watch. 🙂

    • Powdered Eggshell - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Tripped duration by +25 %.
    • Half Eggshell - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Tripped duration by +30 %.
    • Cracked Turtle Egg - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Tripped duration by +35 %.

Increasing tripped duration can be handy if you’re looking to be able to occasionally teleport to the area a survivor was after you’ve, say, just carried or downed someone else or kicked a gen, etc. You don’t get an instant hit out of it but you do still get there quick enough to be in their immediate vicinity to apply pressure. As above, these do also stack, although double duration probably has diminishing returns.

    • Dead Fly Mud - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Teleportation range by +20 %.
    • Dragonfly Wings - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Teleportation range by +25 %.
    • Dried Cicada - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Teleportation range by +30 %.

Teleportation range is useful in allowing you to create wider webs or patrol a bit farther away from you web while still being in range to react to it. Since her base range is 40 meters these add-ons give 8+ extra range each so double stacking them allows you to teleport across over half the map.

    • Pussy Willow Catkins - The Auras of Survivors tripping a Phantasm Trapare revealed to The Hag for 3 seconds.
    • Willow Wreath - The Auras of Survivors tripping a Phantasm Trap are revealed to The Hag for 5 seconds.

Aura reveals after a trap is triggered can be useful information when you are immediately teleporting to get an instant hit by showing you where the survivor ran to. Stacking these two together is also really interesting since it shows you the survivor’s aura for a full 8 seconds, or 10 or 12 seconds with Lethal Pursuer (not sure if the Lethal adds +2 seconds to both or just the trap aura in general). It’s kind of like getting Lethal Pursuer mini-pings the entire match. 🙂

    • Rusty Shackles - Tripped Phantasm Traps do not spawn a Mud Phantasm. Tripped Phantasm Traps do not give any indication of having been tripped to Survivors.

This is I think her most popular add-on? Survivors not realizing they triggered a trap is obviously really useful. There is a bit of a downside in that it also prevents the camera swivels to veer survivors away from good routes and distraction from a trap going off can cause survivors to make bad decisions, but he benefit outweighs that negative. Personally I kind of like to double stack one of the other types of add-ons above since those are kind of fun effects stylewise, but there’s no denying Rusty is a solid add-on.

    The Bad

    • Bog Water - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Trigger range by +10 %.
    • Bloodied Water - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Trigger range by +20 %.
    • Bloodied Mud - Increases the Phantasm Trap's Trigger range by +30 %.

Increasing Trigger range is really bad in general, as in I think you’d be better off not running any add-on than running these. If anything you want the trigger range as small as possible so that the Phantasm appears as close to the triggering survivor as possible for a quick hit. Extending the range just makes it more likely he trap will be wasted. The only use I could possibly see for these is to combine it with Waterlogged Shoe or maybe Grandma’s Heart in The Odd category below, which fits those gimmicks but isn’t something I would call “effective”.

    • Disfigured Ear Triggering a Phantasm Trapcauses the Survivor to be deafened for 6 seconds.

I wish I could put this in the Good category since Deafness is an interesting effect on paper, but in practice I just don’t think Survivors being unable to hear anything for 6 seconds is going to do very much at all other than make them wonder why all of a sudden they can’t hear the gens or the Hag following them. (Making he killer Deaf for an extended period would be a pretty useful survivor perk though!)

    The Odd

    • Scarred Hand - Mud Phantasms have collision with Survivors. Grants 300 % bonus Bloodpoints in the Deviousness Category. Disables The Hag's ability to teleport to tripped Phantasm Traps. Scarred Hand trumps all other Add-ons.

I could have put this in The Bad since the benefit of Collision doesn’t make up for the lack of teleport, but it does have a niche use combined with Waterlogged Shoe below so I’ll be generous and say it’s a gimmick rather than outright bad.

    • Grandma's Heart - Triggering a Phantasm Trapcauses the following effects for its tripped duration: Suppresses the Terror Radius of The Hag. Increases the Fake Terror Radius of the Mud Phantasms to 16 metres.

This one is hard to judge. Undetectability and moving your terror radius around the map can be a strong effect, but the duration of the individual triggers is too short for me to qualify this as Good. However there are some interesting possible combinations with this and perks which rely on your terror radius (e.g. Coulrophobia, Unnerving Presence, Septic Touch) since it can effectively mean your terror radius is hopping around covering a wider portion of the map that is always including at least one survivor who triggered the trap so there could be some fun gimmicks with this to try, maybe. 🙂

    • Waterlogged Shoe - Increases the Movement speed of The Hag by +4.5 %to 4.6 m/s. Survivors suffer from a Hindered  Status Effect while inside a Phantasm Trap's Trigger range, reducing their Movement speed by -9 %. Disables the ability of The Hag to teleport to triggered Phantasm Traps. Waterlogged Shoe trumps all other Add-ons.

This one is definitely weaker than teleporting but, if you combine it with Scarred Hand or Bloody Mud, is actually one of my favorite meme ways to play Hag. 😄 I’m a simple killer who likes basic chases and this add-on makes Hag a normal, basic chaser that can significantly slow survivors in a chase within her protected area. I’ve actually even had surprisingly decent results with this meme style, so I’m putting it in Odd versus Bad even though in my head I know in principle running this is a terrible idea.

    • Mint Rag Grants The Hag the ability to teleport to any untripped Phantasm Trap at will. Mint Rag applies a cool-down of 15 seconds to teleports between un-tripped Phantasm Traps. This cool-down does not extend to regular teleports to tripped Phantasm Traps.

Mint Rag is I think the ultimate playstyle variant add-on, I can’t say for sure if this is better or worse than her normal version because that 15 second cooldown definitely hurts her ability to chain traps together but comes with this potentially really powerful ability to proactively teleport straight to any trap on the map without it having to have been triggered. This is an add-on that I feel like if I played Hag a ton and really wanted to develop a play style around just this specific add-on it could be a lot of fun and also be effective but it would require enough extra work and time to flesh out that I just don’t do it. 🤷‍♂️

Anyway, that’s my less-than-expert take on Hag’s add-ons. A bunch of them are kind of useful passive effects, some of them are downright bad, and some are gimmicks that aren’t all that effective but can be fun to try.

I agree with basically everything here.

I just want to add that Grandma's Heart does not allow the hag to use terror radius perks in the same way that Dark Devotion does, as the phantasm terror radius is not "real". You can't, for example, pick someone up with starstruck and expose someone on the other side of the map.

Otherwise, yeah, body blocker might be a fun gimmick, but it is not close to the power other killers reach with their iri add-ons.

I would LOVE to see a rework for the disfigured ear. I feel like there is some interesting potential there.

ALSO, I would like to hijack this thread for a second to remind people that Hag has had an audio bug for almost a year. When you trigger a hag trap, the phantasm has NO terror radius until the hag teleports. This means that delaying a teleport tells survivors exactly when you decide to show up, giving them a ton of extra information.

I have already made bug report threads about this.

  • It is coming. Life, MMR, and the new massive rework have delayed it.

I hope you like it when it is ready!

Oh man, someone else that didn't read the post or didn't understand it lol.

2 gens left, me fully healthy just repaired 2 gens, another guy injured on 2nd hook, 2 people on second hook with 5 traps on each of them. Hag is proxy camping and, to bring a new situation to the table, it was the autohaven map with the "|-|" shape. Those hooks were placed so badly that you couldn't get on the other side of the map without catching the hag's attention.

So this is why I suggest a change to her traps:

Within 8 meters and on the same level of a hooked survivor traps no longer swing your camera.

Maybe you could argue it makes hags weaker if there is a loop within 8 meters, but it's really a weird situation with a lot of buts. It's still better than having to save someone whilst your camera refuses to point at the hooked person.

You will have to forgive me. There are a lot of complaints in the thread.

Tbh it sounds like the map design is the problem. But that is for a different thread.

If a hag has two people on hook and 5 traps under each of them then she has exactly 0 left on the rest of the map. If she has 5 between the two hooks, then she may have half a web set up. In the first case, you can do gens and leave. Consider it the same as a face camp except she will never be a threat again in the match because she did not set up properly. In the second, she can be harassed to teleport between the two traps.

In neither case does the camera swing enter into any calculations. Your camera WILL NOT SWING if you are looking at the trap before it pops. If they are at hook and you know that they are there, there is no reason for the cam to swing.

Hags who put more than 1 trap anywhere are not able to get value from their kit, they are basically the same as any other camper.

I seriously suggest reading posts and watching guides on how to play as and against her. She has a tremendous amount of counterplay and depth on both sides.

Ok, I think I remember it, but what do you recommend when the hag has 5 traps under a hook, all pointing in different directions.

So first, hag traps don't point in any direction until you trip them, they are circular.

Second, if a hag is so committed to one hook that she blows half her web on it you get a 3 man escape for free. How is this much different from a Billy or bubba or trapper or really half the killer roster standing at a hook? As soon as she leaves you can make a bt play after crouching or if she picks up someone else you pop all traps for free.

This also has nothing to do with cam swing. It just sounds like you hate the matchup, which is fine. If you take the time to learn it, you will win a lot more and have way more fun.

    Gl

  • Hag's traps will only affect your camera if you are looking away from them when they are triggered.

Predicting where traps are and harassing them properly is basically Hag's core counterplay. Good Hags will use the camera swing to deny or weaken certain loops. They are trying to predict and punish your movement. By the same token, you can predict their traps and render them less useful by looking at them before they pop.

Hag is a strong killer but her power is abuseable by survivors. The side that better predicts the other will win the matchup almost every time.

I made a thread about Hag counterplay a few months ago, inside you can find ways to play against her.

Game discussion/personal opinions aside, I legitimately hope you crushed your exam!

Raccoon, you are an enigma and I hope you know I love you.

Thank you. It has been a ludicrous exam but it is actually wrapping up today after 6 months of work and 3 straight weeks of writing.

    Crushed it. Happy holidays <3

  • Wow guys, ty for remembering my thread.

Yeah, Michi and I are still working on it, but had to put it on hold because I had a crazy exam I had to write. Took months to get it done right but we are back to work.

    Keep an eye out!

Also to answer the main question: yes it was before mmr. Since mmr I've lost a few times, it's nuts out there!

  • A little while ago I wrote a guide on how to play vs hag and a little about how to play her. I'll link it here. I hope it helps!

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/277177/i-won-all-my-killer-games-for-a-year-here-is-everything-i-learned-long-post

  • I'm not sure many killers get more from this perk than the Hag. It interacts very well with her power.

The thing is that most people tend to overlook the "for one year" part. If this guy was playing as much as Otz let's say, then undoubtedly 700 ws is clearly impossible. But at 2 games a day, odds go up a lot.

Is 700 ws a stupid number and a huge claim? Yes. Is it possible, yes, but very unlikely. Does this claim make those legit great tips less valid? No.

I'm really happy that some people are getting what I wanted from the post.

I hope you use some of the info and enjoy your matches as or against hag a little more!

  • @Alice_pbg said:

people are weirdly focusing on the 700 wins...

let's say you manage to convince op to say "ok, I didn't get 700 wins in a row, I lost some games here and there". then what? what's that doing for you?

the information about hag they shared is solid. the counterplay is valid and work. and if you didn't know about them, it should increase your ability to play as and against hag.

You certainly don't have to believe on the streak, I don't. but it doesn't change anything about the actually useful stuff they posted, so why bother? they didn't even post their channel or even username, so it's not like they are trying to gain a following with it or something like that.

and before someone goes "but why say you got a 700 win streak if it doesn't matter?", would you not talk about a 700 win streak that you got even if you can't prove it? I would.

This is what I have been trying to say.

    Thank you.

There are a lot of people who I clearly bothered with the post. I am glad some people can look past its limitations and get what I hope is some pretty useful information.

    Go beat some hags!

  • @Mringasa said:

Very nice post. Has some good information for new Hag players, and for Survivors looking to up their game. So many of them wet themselves as soon as they see it's a Hag because she is rarely played, and it turns into an absolute shitshow as they feed her.

I'll have to try STBFL myself now. I usually run MYC, M/A, and then whatever 2 others I feel like at the time.

I'm really glad you liked it.

Try Franklin's, too! Watch survivors lose their minds chasing items that couldn't help them anyway.

    One of life's great joys.

  • @baseballfan4877 said:

how is stbfl an obvious choice for hag?

STBFL gives you a lower cooldown after a successful hit. Ideally, this allows you to act much sooner, letting you TP again to another trap that goes off - negating the speed burst you gave the survivor and surprising them before they can figure out what happened - or start a chase with much less of a disadvantage. Being slow already, the Hag needs any advantage she can get if she is actually going to get stuck chasing.

I have gotten a lot of hits (often without a TP, or shortly after one) only for the survivor to run into a nearby loop. STBFL just increases the Hag's lethality in those situations by a ton.

Hag is very much about time management. Every second you save helps you better control and keep up your web.

They definitely do, for sure - I picked up some stuff watching Otz get some wacky hits with them.

The person in question mentioned them and their applications non-stop and people wanted video evidence because they could not emulate what was being said/may have been doing the techniques incorrectly.

    Those people are now skeletons.

I did take a look through their post history to see if I could find the specific topic (there were way too many), but I did notice that there was one there that said they were looking for players to make a video guide - If that video was actually created, then I am wrong and that person actually delivered - I'll take the L.

I did see a topic complaining about the lack of Hag counterplay, though, that was quite popular - Figured I'd mention it because of your own thoughts on Hag counterplay :P

In contrast to their topic, and in your defense, I've previously said that the information you posted was valuable/helpful. On top of that, it's easily identifiable in game and can be emulated by most skill levels in a match - being able to explain things in a clear, concise, and relatable manner is a talent, for sure, and definitely helps your readers.

I appreciate your feedback. IMO, if a few people feel the same way as you do, that is enough to call the post a success.

I asked for proof, got nothing, and decided to leave the thread (that is until, this gem caught my eye - joy!). Of course, I always enjoy these sorts of responses from people trying to make a ton of assumptions about me based on nothing other than asking the op for something tangible to go on. Video proof, specifically.

Outrageous claims, outrageous proof. Winning all your games for a year straight is borderline impossible, and if you were actually embarking on such an ordeal, why not document it? Seems bizarre to go through all that effort just to make a post claiming something you cannot substantiate. But hey, logic and requiring reasonable proof is being self-important I suppose.

Thank you for being an example of why this community is seen the way it is. Much appreciated.

No proof would satisfy everyone except for 700 vods. I did not collect that data, so I can't prove it.

I hope the rest of the information in the post can help people. I am not interested in convincing random users that the streak happened.

For those who want to read about Hag, I hope the info use useful.

I am also here to discuss the Hag and topics related to her.

Most people would be able to tell after 5-6 R1 games whether it's a godlike Hag or not.

This reminds me of that Clown guy that kept talking about how great the Yellow bottles were/are - The threads are probably still kicking around if you search for them.

I am not going down a rabbit hole of what is and is not enough for everyone. I did not provide proof. Believe what you want to.

I think the rest of the post is useful. If you disagree, thats fine.

How many people do you truly think would take the post seriously after reading such a claim. Not in pity since most people are calling you out but in genuine interest for Hag. Certainly not many.

I really want to believe you mean well and are not just trolling but your responses are completely nonsensical. You had something really nice here and you just spat all over it because of that claim. It just feels like such a waste since most people don't give Hag the time of day.

I guess thanks to Michi I play a lot like them. Get net set up and maintain it. Let survivors do all the work for me ^^ mwahahaha. My fav add ons are the quick set traps and the aura reading ones. I try and keep a trap near the 4 gens I am protecting. Survivors hear my TR, leave gen which they think I am heading towards, but the aura reading show me the direction they are going and I intercept them.

This works double well with Dark Devotion and other TR supressing perks ^^

    Ok big question for you:

What is your fav Hag cosmetic??? did you play with the same cosmetic all year or did you mix it up????

I don't love the aura traps, I feel that I get enough infro just from the phantasm. Setting speed is addictive though haha.

I always play with the same cosmetics. Blue coloured default hag and weapon. Twin terror hair.

Thank you for this post and also well done on your meeting your goal ^^

Hag is my all time fav killer. I am not exceptional at her but I do tend to do very well with her unless I am against a bully squad... but I mean that is the case for all killers with me ^^" Just like you I watch I a lot of Michi and learn by watching them!

Hag is the most fun killer imo. If I were to attempt any win streak I would use her or Trapper.

Weird how negative people are being in these comments. I thought this post was really interesting and informative! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for the positivity! I hope your games go well. If you remember this thread, come back and let me know it the info was helpful :)

You're not bringing attention to Hag at all though. You're bringing attention to yourself because you claim you did a 700 win streak.

Why bring up the win streak at all if you just want to share your experience with Hag. As I said, it's needless grandstanding that only hurts your apparent objective. So why did you bring it up if not to show off?

By bringing it up the info dump becomes meaningless outside of a few people who are just being nice to you because everyone else is calling you out.

I mentioned it because it is true, which I cannot prove. Hag is an S tier killer and I want people to know more about her. People may believe whatever.

I think some people can look past whether they believe the claim and read the post. Everyone can take exactly what they would like, positive or not.

This post has the same vibe as people who make a new account on Soulborne forums and say they beat the entire game with no guides, didn't die once while also finding every boss/questline and now here's how they did it.

Good on you for the info post but if you want people to learn more about Hag then you should take out the 700 win thing. It takes away from the post and it's only thing people will care about as you can already see. That fact you seem to refuse to prove it as well even through a simple custom match or stream would show at least some of your skill also takes away a lot from the post. If you have nothing to prove then why bring it up at all? It's needless grandstanding and will only serve to annoy people.

"I played Hag for an entire year and here is my experience."

Use that title while never bringing up the 700 wins and all of a sudden you have a post with people actually talking interest with Hag, maybe inquiring into some of your games, learning strategies, etc.

As it is now, it's just a well spoken troll post whether you mean it as such or not. Personally, I'd request the post be closed and then remake it in the guide section while keeping out the wins, though honestly the damage has already been done and I don't think many people are going to take you seriously.

As another note, alt accounts are not allowed in any fashion on the forums. I'm not sure if that answer was in reference to the Reddit post and you've never been here before but just as a heads up.

I've never made an account here before.

You are entitled to your opinion about the streak and you are welcome to believe what you want to.

All I wanted was to bring attention to the Hag and to help people with counterplay.

I am not interested in streaming for hours or posting gods, as they will not satisfy everyone's need for proof. I am not going down the rabbit hole of what is and is not enough for everyone. I address the lack of proof right away.

I think I learned a lot about the game and wanted to share. I hope you find something useful. Some people certainly have, and that's plenty for me.

Discord would be the best to share via Text. By any Chance are you in the dbd group?

I am not, yet, but I will reach out to you on discord later. I am out for a while.

No need to thank me. I am glad that you put so much time into learning her and creating this thread. It would be great if you join the scenes for the next hag guide.

I dont need any vods, I know the situation. I will try the egg tech, sounds fun

I would be honored and super excited to do that. What's the best way of reaching you to swap info? You could dm me on the Reddit thread by the same name.

  • @DouubleYou said:

For these 4ks, were any of them facecamping 1 hooks by any chance, as that would be considered a win under the 4 kill rule, no?

If I camped, I risked them slamming gens without me getting traps on the map.

Not worth it. Much better to play optimally.

I agree never losing a game in a year, even with the sweatiest playstyle and most broken build possible, is extremely difficult. I don't even know if "difficult" is the right word. All it takes is the multiple layers of RNG to deliver you to A.) a bad map b.) a bad variant of the bad map, and C.) the rare extremely good 4 man team. With all of that combined, if I'm anyone but Nurse Blight or Spirit I don't see myself winning.

All of these streaks are really less about skill (obviously skill is relevant) and more about how lucky you get with avoiding the perform storm of near unavoidable loss.

    Totally agree with you.

    Thanks for coming by!

Big streaks are an interaction of luck and skill, imo. I think Hag is up there with Nurse, Spirit, and blight, but I think a lot of the reason for it is that most survivors don't know proper counterplay. In making this guide, I hoped that I could bring some of what I learned to the survivors to help them in the matchup.

I know people hate playing as and against the Hag, but her counterplay can actually be really fun and rewarding.

If it is about hag or totems or perk rework then yes!

Basing on my own experience with hag, the fact she is s Tier, that survs refuse to use the counterplay they have and some other factors I would say that this is entirely possible.

Of course you also need a ton of luck because you can be skilled with any killer as much as you want, sometimes you cant do anything against a Team.

Also I read carefully what the OP wrote and the way the hag is described with powers, counterplay, Info etc. Shows me that this person indeed has played hag a ton. Many of the described things you can only know when playing as her for months (since many of the Infos I kept for myself until I am done with my hag guide) so all in all I think this is possible if the Stars align perfectly!

    Michi!

I can't believe you are here.

I appreciate what you said about my post. It is unfortunate that I don't have the vods to back it up.

Without your guides, I would not be nearly as good a Hag player as I am, nor would I enjoy the game as much. Thank you for that, please keep making great Hag content.

Also, if you egg tech someone I am going to lose my mind.

Here you go. He explains it better than I can. Excellent video, btw. I recommend the whole thing, if you are interested in the Hag.

  • @Pukenplag said:

I am really upset by all the replies. Ok, 700 win streak is a huge claim and you are free to not believe it, but there is no need to make this thread 4 pages of "is this true?".

I thank you for some valuable info and making me want to play Hag again.

By the way, 700 wins in 1 year doesn't mean around 2 games a day? I don't really think someone sweating 4ks while being good can't win 2 times a day and then stop playing untill the next day.

Generally, stopping after a few games is great because the more you go one day, the more tired you get and less good.

All I want is for people to get hyped about the Hag, both playing as and against her.

I think she is really interesting but a lot of players on both sides don't like her and so dont take the time to learn her.

I really hope you try her out again and try out the techs I wrote up at the end.

    Enjoy your games <3

I have a P3 hag that I rarely play and I’m rank 1 on both sides. Eventually you get a team that flashlight kills your traps and loops you, you put down a trap they just run to the next loop. Then there is map RNG.

None of your post was a revelation. MYC only excels if people hook bomb and let you port right back.

Oh and Michi couldn’t pull off what you said, not him, not Otz, not any other big name these forums can conjure.

Im not asking you to prove your last 700 games …. I’m asking you to prove your next 50 games (<9% of your supposed total win streak).

If you did a 4-5 hour stream (something people do every day) and you won 50 games it shut everyone up. You won’t, you can’t, your post is meaningless. Besides entertainment.

Watch Michi and tell me MYC only works for hook bombs.

I am not a streamer. I am not going to stream a day of Hag for anyone. This was an attempt to share some knowledge.

I am sorry you didn't learn anything new.

    Your point has been noted.

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2471540#Comment_2471540

Amen. And he supposedly never had a two escape with this 110% killer.

Otz and others have done 100+ kill streaks but our boy here is saying he’s gotten a 2,100 to 2,800 kill streak.

You are free to believe exactly what you want to. You can discount everything I say based on whatever criteria you want to.

Other players can do this, but it makes for very boring content and not very fun games. I have absolutely no doubt players like Michi who almost never lose (while using no add-ons and meme builds) can do this but why would they?

Either the info in the post is useful or it is not. I hope it is.

I cant prove I won the games, so I expect people will not believe me. All I do is play Hag. I don't play any other killer. I have only played maybe 5 games as another killer since starting the game.

If you find anything in the post, besides the winstreak, that you want to discuss/object to. Let me know.

I do hope you read the post and try it out, though.

I get teams in solo queue that destroy Hags that are quite good/use their perks/trap setups quite well.

I know it's anecdotal, but, well, we're in this topic.

What is it that you are looking for? You don't believe me, which is fine. You don't think what I have to say is useful to you or your teammates, which is fine.

I think that, for some people, this information will be useful. That's what I am here for.

  • @Raccoon said:

    https://forum.deadbydaylight.com/en/discussion/comment/2471509#Comment_2471509

Most of what you're sharing has also been discussed by other users on these very forums, as well as other streamers.

Granted, there is nothing wrong with compiling what you know in one place, but there isn't really anything new or exciting being brought to the table, either. Things like positioning camera before popping traps, harassing traps, perk choice, etc are not really new info/tech.

I mean, it is clear to me that many people do not know this stuff. It is clear in that when I play hag, they do not do this stuff. I dont know other channels through which I can help out, so I posted here. You are free to believe it or not, implement it or not, I really don't mind. I am trying to help in the way I think is best.

    gl out there.

  • I really don't mind if you believe me about the streak. I am not looking for recognition or anything, I have hidden my account name.

I think that a lot of wins come from survivors not knowing the counterplay to hag. I learned a lot about her in the last year and came to share what I know with the community.

I also said in another response that plenty of people can do the same thing I did, but it would make for some pretty bad streaming content and is not all that fun to sweat like crazy every game.

You are certainly entitled to your opinions about everything, and I hope you have some about the content beyond personal incredulity. Please, if there is something about the Hag that you disagree with, we can have a conversation about it.

  • @Ghouled_Mojo said:

I can’t go a single night without losing lol.

You need to be a big loser to win this much, trust me.

Really though, you give up a lot of what makes the game fun to sweat super hard every game for a year.

  • @Raccoon said:

Additionally, I don't suppose you'd be willing to stream some of your own Hag gameplay.

At 700+ wins, I'm sure there are lots of people that would love to see you in action/how you play to add it to their repertoire.

Feel free to take this how you will, but I really don't want to. I don't think seeing a single game of Hag (or 10, for that matter) will convince people I did it, nor am I interested in proving anything.

This was the way I chose to share my knowledge.

  • @Raccoon said:

I do not think they could do it easily at all.

I'd be interested to see what some of the streamers on here think.

@ScottJund @Michi @CoconutRTS (these are the only three people I know of here that fall into said category) - Any way to get a weigh-in/opinion, please?

Could be an interesting topic of discussion/pov.

This would blow me away lol. I would love to hear what any of them would have to say / answer any of their questions.

    My bad it wasn't a 800+ win streak but a 800+ killstreak

He's at 100 win streak here:

    https://youtu.be/MhpVbC9Oy0g

Then 200 here, but there's no gameplay just MMR issues:

    https://youtu.be/gRdk2RLwTBw

Yup! Dowsey had 199 4Ks in a row on Twins.

His win condition was more stringent than mine, as a single key escape ended his streak, but I allowed it, as I say in my post.

I think a lot of streamers could win for a year, but it would make for very boring content. Same build on the same killer, sweating every game for a year? Who is watching that?

I am not better than Dowsey or Space Coconut or Michi or Otz. They (and a lot of others) could do this easily and probably with more than 1 killer.
