Just use the numerous blindness/exhaustion perks/addons…
-
Who would have thought that giving the "power role" the ability to mori people for free would play out like this?! BM stocks just went through the roof! Moris have been the ultimate disrespect from the beginning. This new feature is a way to rub salt into the wounds of people who already lost.
Also, in most cases I have seen them used they actually take longer to end the game than hooking.
-
Directly after the patch I was having issues with missing guaranteed hits (both regular and lunges). I've never whiffed so much in my 3.5k hours. It got to the point I was stopping chase to check ping, but the pings were fine.
-
Killers are going to sweat in any mode they play. I'm not sure how you want killers to play though? I was playing really nice, doing my archives and got grouped with super toxic survivors. I was on Trapper, they didn't bring cakes, and brought RPD instead. I got pretty wrecked. They then proceeded to be toxic in chat. Since then, I have just been farming kills with Twins/Billy to complete my last few archives.
The point of the story is that toxicity goes both ways. You play nice, you get bagged and toxic chat. You play regular, you get bagged and toxic chat.
-
I agree. Billy is extremely strong. I have moved over from a Bubba main, to playing Billy more now. He is just too good to not play him. I don't run slowdown though, aura perks are where it is at. Lethal, Floods, BBQ, and NTH.
Both Billy and Twins are so crazy that I am on an unintended winstreak with them. I just got sick of playing solo survivor and getting frustrated at how strong killers were, that I just started playing them almost exclusively. If you can't beat them, join them!
-
Doesn't Weave make them drop their item too? Without Franklin's or addons to drop items, that would give a blip of information. It would also cause exhaustion. I agree that it needs another perk/addon to combo with it well, but it can still be useful alone.

You're right about one thing. The crazy macro play that's expected of killers over this topic is just insane. It's not necessary. I make the same argument when I was in favor of DS having a bigger skill check, or activating automatically: You're shoehorning skill into an action where there shouldn't be any. It's like asking survivors to hit skill checks to cleanse at Plague fountains, or cryptic crap like remembering the position of Myers's hand to play around Tombstone.
https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/comment/3745648#Comment_3745648
Killers avoiding split maps has nothing to do with knowing where exactly they need to hook a survivor, which is subjective. Y'all are using "map knowledge" and "match awareness" as a vague umbrella term so that you can include hooks in that. But survivors can see what hooks each other are on. If you started spectating someone in the middle of their killer match, and you saw they had whatever amount of hooks, could you tell which survivors were on what hook? No, and the killer can't always remember either, especially with same-outfit players. Let the killer have the same access to information on hooks that the survivors have, and then we can argue that route. But right now, that line of thinking has nothing to stand on because it's an entirely unequal situation. You're asking survivors to remember a color, and asking the killer to remember a complex equation.
"The crazy macro", as in the minimal thought you need to put in about which hook to walk to? There isn't any shoehorning here. This is how it has been since 2016. The required skill was always there, yet people can't be bothered to activate their neurons.
"Let the killers have the same access to information on hooks that the survivors have". Not sure what you are getting at here. Killers can see hooks when hooking, and can see survivors on hooks when they are hooked…
Finally, trust me, there are no "complex equations" here. This isn't complex number integrals. It is simply looking at a hook and thinking about whether it is a good place to hook.
Anyway, it is what it is going to be. I've never had a memorable problem with hook management as a killer in my thousands of hours. Although, as someone who has seen survivor gameplay become more and more miserable, I am playing killer WAY more now. So, looking at the upside of the change from a killer mindset, I can see why people are happy. This change will allow me to tunnel people out in the corner of the map, and then tunnel the next person out in that same corner. 😎👍️
-
I'm a 60/40 killer/survivor player since 2016 and this change is braindead. It WILL lower the skill floor, there isn't any other objective way of looking at it. Hook management is just as much a part of macro as generator management.
I've played thousands of hours of both killer and survivor, and out of the thousands of games there has been very few where a survivor has had to be bled out because they ran to a deadzone. Does it happen? Yes. Is it worse when they have perks that go with it? Yes. Do I care? No, because they used their perk slots to give them THAT ADVANTAGE.
When I pick up, I always look around to plan my hooks. Where do I want them? Is it defensible? Can I zone them after rescue? If they die will this cause a deadzone? Planning is a huge part of the game, and is something more to think about than just "me chase survivor, me down survivor, me hook survivor".
I get it though, many players don't want to have to think when they play the game. They don't want to think about whether a chase is bad, they don't want to think about what areas to chase in, they don't want to think about where to hook a survivor.
There is no doubt that the skill ceiling of the entire game has been lowered over the years. There are consistent removal of techs, there are consistent removal of game mechanics, and there are now consistent removal of meaningful choices.
Chasing a more skilled player? No worries, you get Bloodlust.
Getting run at shack? No worries the window will block.
Survivors running into a deadzone?…What deadzone?
So I reiterate, playing killer now is actually braindead.
-
Who is little bro talking to? I'm not sure the goofy SWFs you are talking about care enough to be on the forums.
Your posts are giving me insight into the type of player you are now, OP. I too remember my first few hundred hours in the game. A word of advice though, the negativity and toxicity will cause you to enjoy the game less. -
This is my new favourite DBD conspiracy. 🤫
-
I'm actually gutted about Chucky. He was the one character I would say when people asked which killer should come to DBD. When he finally released I was loving him. Then they removed his flicks. Now they removed his scamper.
He just feels miserable to play now, and a shell of the fun killer he used to be. 😭

The last member hid the remainder of the game. That falls under unsporting behavior due to not participating in normal gameplay. They hurt the solo queue player because they threw a tantrum.
No, you had two people left in the game and were going to let one survive. You could have easily killed the solo guy and "slammed the hatch" to force EGC. It was you wanting to let the solo guy live instead of killing him that caused the game to stall.
Nobody is forced to be altruistic. I've had plenty of matches where I am completing achievements, or archives in which I have to escape the game. If the game isn't going well, I hide until the last person dies so I can get hatch/gate. Unhooking someone when there are two people and 2+ gens is a death sentence, and will almost always lead to the killer getting an easy 4k.
-
In terms of "taking the game hostage", you can slug one, and if they come to pick up, kill them both. If they don't come to pick up, let them bleed out. The new perk that shows auras will also stop them from being able to drop/pickup items to stop crows.

Because BHVR is biased in favor of survivors. It's not up for debate anymore.
Ah yes, all the survivor nerfs from 6.1 onwards have most definitely been "biased in favor of survivors". I've played since 2016 and I cannot recall killer being easier. Playing Billy or Twins at the moment causes me to have to apologise in endgame chat because it is so disgustingly easy.
It would be great if people played both sides equally so we got rid of this "us vs them" mentality. A 2k is a draw, which means the game is balanced and MMR is working. Killers getting a 3k+ every game actually means the game isn't balanced. Not every game should be a 4k.
-
Funny, I have seen a lot of killers complaining about survivors complaining, but I haven't seen many survivors complaining about mage hand. 🤔
Also, if WoO is that much of an issue for you, bring a blindness perk/addon. Not every perk needs a nerf to make it useless, there are perks and addons that counter other perks and addons. In some cases (Iron Maiden) there are perks that counter entire builds.
-
What did they do that was against the rules? Why should they be punished? What moderation or rule enforcement needs to be done?
People winning games and still coming to the forum to complain. "They tried to torment me, but I still won the game, they should be punished for even DARING to interact with me".
-
I'm not seeing the problem here? I'm getting 3k+ in at least 70% of my games. Most games are a 4k. What does people being in a SWF matter at this point?
You can obviously tell when a group is not a SWF on comms. The game is disgustingly easy, and so boring that I end up apologising in endgame chat. I can't even imagine playing like that every game, there's no challenge. 😴
I can just imagine killers joining and leaving lobbies over and over until they find a group of solo survivors with less than 500 hours. When I play survivor I can already see them doing it when they see a single P100 in a lobby.
-
This guy is asking the real questions! Us six Bubba mains are extremely disappointed. 😡

My saddest memory of this is signing up last October(?) and not getting the charm that I was promised. :(

Separating a small player base with a game mode that mechanically plays the same that will inevitably get boring to the majority of the player base faster then what people think will result in increased queue times. Chaos shuffle is alright, it’s really nothing amazing, I went back to public matches after I completed the event tome, I enjoy my algorithm of meta..sorry having another permanent game mode ain’t healthy for the game..
In your opinion.
I like it as a way to blow off steam and goof around. I also know many others that have quit due to the current meta, and killer play styles. These players have come back for Chaos Shuffle and are loving it.
-
Nah, you are stressing too much, and potentially self-reporting haha. I have the same thing on my A50s. In fact I can download and change user profiles on my A50s as well. Currently they are set to flat, and I haven't been bothered to change them for DBD, but I could.
-
I had this before and it actually got me killed. I saw them check locker, I saw the blindness, but I didn't scream so I kept hiding. They walked over to me and killed me. If I had have screamed I would have ran.
-
As a killer, you can definitely see when people are using WoO as they run from yellow to yellow. In the past this was not much of a problem because you were destroying resources. However, as the maps have shrunk, and the new maps have increased pallets, pallet and window density has significantly increased.
When I am playing a killer that may be hindered by a WoO user, I simply run blindness. Most killers have a blindness addon, and there are many blindness perks out there. You can actually see an instant change in player skill as soon as you inflict them with blindness. They go from looping effortlessly to making rookie errors.
On the other hand, I also see WoO as an accessibility perk. Some players may have reduced working memory. Some players may be unable to learn loops effectively, no matter how many hours they have. WoO reduces the cognitive load and reduces overload.

Just bring back his 180 flicks honestly. Being able to vault during a dash and then do a sick 180 to hit the survivor was pretty unique.
I completely agree! I was so excited for Chucky to come to DBD. I loved playing him up until they removed his 180. Bring back his 180!

I feel the chucky changes might end up helping him over all now being able to use his power more for mobility since its got a shorter CD. I just think his ability to vault and m1 was such a silly design choice, way too strong and easy to do.
I think this is a really good patch, the game has suffered from gen regression not being accounted for after the gen kick buffs. Snowballing was a huge issue. Very excited for what the anniversary brings now!
And the sabo changes gives survivors an option to fight back against tunneling tooI hope so. I was super excited for Chucky, and loved him on release. Then they lowered his skill ceiling, and he became way less fun for me. I hope these changes are positive for him.
-
As I'm playing killer more, I am wary but also optimistic. I 4k a majority of my games with the regression perks, which is not an even game. If the game is balanced, and matchmaking is working as intended, I should be getting a 2k most games. The gen regression is scary, but I am a fan of the toolbox and survivor perk changes.
I'm absolutely stoked about the Bubba changes. Disappointed they killed Chucky. Keen on Deathslinger buffs. Also, the Wesker and Blight changes seem healthy.
Overall, I'm excited for this new update. It seems they are taking a bit of a risk and shaking up the meta.
-
I main Bubba. I take Ultimate Weapon/Nowhere to Hide for information followed by Game Afoot, Nemesis, Rancor. I don't care if they smash gens and escape. I'm just there for the chases. However, if I feel I am facing a bit of a bully squad, I will equip Mad Grit.
I also dabble in Wesker because his power feels rewarding when it hits (although lately and with the new map I have been getting robbed on slams/throws). On Wesker I'll play something like Bamboozle/Iron Grasp, Agitation, Awakened Awareness, and Starstruck. I love a good backpack build.
I also love a good skill check build on Doctor/Legion/Wesker. Overall, I only play meta gen regression during peak times when there are a lot of dedicated hardcore SWFs on.
-
Alright, I bit the bullet and tried it myself. Each skin in shop was priced at 1080 Auric or 21,600 Iri. Buying a skin reduced the price by 720 Auric. This is a pretty significant difference, but understandable in terms of bundles.

The funniest part of this is there is not even a hard counter to this. You run lightborn. They just start going down on pallets to snipe you. You leave the person on the floor they could have unbreakable and power struggle. There's legit survivor plays with no counterplay from the killer side even with perks. Same case for something like buckle the people. If they can instant heal while your whiping your blade what can you do? Run stbfl? So let's see. I need a build of. Stbfl. Infectious. Fire up. Lightborn. To get rid of half of these no counterplay in normal gameplay scenarios. Here's the problem. Thats not having fun. I'm not having fun running the same 4 perks just for the chance to deal with these no counterplay scenarios. And even then they don't even solve the problems. Sure you can't be blinded. But you can still be pallet saved even with fire up. Stbfl might make you clean faster but depending on your stacks if it's first down they'll still get it off. And your running all this in hope that you can at least make these scenarios more manageable. Killers perks matter a lot to the overall gameplay. If they have to run all this stuff while survivors complained about having to run calm spirit to deal with ultimate weapon. I see a painful irony.
First of all, you are mentioning that there is not counter-play, and then directly giving examples of counter-play. You are also talking about "What Ifs" a lot here. What if a survivor brings this perk, and what if a survivor brings that perk. When you start talking about what if, then anything and everything is possible.
Where are all these competitive SWFs with every "OP" perk that other people are playing every game? I have 3k+ hours, and it is swinging 60/40 towards killer lately. I'm not having these problems you speak of. Sure, every now and again I run into BU+FTP, or BGP+FB, but it is rare. Also, if people are going down on pallets, you can bait the save, or you can vacuum them out of it, or you can body block the side they are going to come from, or you can pick up straight away before they get in position. There is four counters to pick from alone.
Honestly though, altruism perks are great, they give me interaction with survivors, and usually work against them. It also provides more of a challenge because I know I am going up against a SWF instead of just stomping 4 solo players. I have always said that there is nothing more boring than going up against four people who hide all game, slam gens, and escape. I'd rather have people swarming the hook, or going for pallet/flashlight saves.
For reference, my main build is Ultimate Weapon, Game Afoot, Nemesis, Rancor on Bubba. I also play Wesker with Rapid, Corrupt, Pain Res, Bamboozle. Both of these styles I focus on chasing, but I might swap out Rapid and Corrupt for Pop + NTH if I feel MMR is getting to me. I find these builds to be great fun, and I really don't struggle getting 2 or more kills, in fact nearly all games are 3k+.
I just don't understand why people aren't willing to solve their own problems instead of complaining to Behaviour to make the game easier for them. Did I think UW was too powerful? Yeah. Did I play Calm Spirit to counter it? You bet I did. Did I cry about it because it took a slot? No, because it directly counters a killer's slot. The same goes for Distortion, I ran that as a baby survivor before it regenned tokens and I loved it. I don't run it now because I play in a SWF and the less experienced looper runs it. I still think it is a great perk as it counters killer's perks and allows you to choose when you take chase.
Overall, I guess I am just playing to have fun with chases. I've played where my only goal was to win, and I left each game stressed, miserable, or angry. That's not what I want when I am playing a video game, but each to their own. 🤠👍️

He could have equipped:
- Lightborn to entire disable this meta if this is the issue
- Some addond that inflicts exhaustion or show survivor auras - Freddy unfortunately don't have one, but there are killers that have those addons.
- Some perk that reveals survivors - Infectious Fright would be good in this case.
- Fire up to mess up with timings on picking up survivors
- Exhaustion - inflicting perks, for example:
- Blood Echo
- Genetic Limits
- Mindbreaker - this one even gives Blindness and it's kinda used
- Septic Touch
Yet he decided he didn't want to and did video in which he demanded nerfs.
If I don't like my aura revealed, I'd bring Distortion - counter killer perks.
Killers could also do the same if Flashlights/Flashbangs/Exhaustion Perks are the issue, to this day killers have 118 perks and there are really some other perks than Pop/PR/Lethal/NTH :)Unfortunately, that is the way it usually goes with these content creators. They think something is OP and "problematic", but refuse to use any of the counters against them. They want to run their mindless 3 or 4 regression and maybe 1 aura reading.
A similar complaint I see is about Windows of Opportunity. When I am playing killer, if I think Windows is losing me games, I will equip a blindness perk/addon. Every killer I play has access to a blindness perk, or addon. I don't go onto YouTube or the forums and complain so the perk gets nerfed. I just use my thousands of hours of experience to equip a perk that directly counters the problem I am having…
-
Bubbas should be allowed to face-camp anyway.
-
My thoughts are that people who main those killers want to win, and win decisively. Also, if they are grinding P100, you have to play a ton of games. After grinding P100, you've played and seen most builds.
-
This is the anti-tunnel perk we need!

Don't forget Oceiana, which counts Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, Solomon Islands and parts of Japan/China/Korea (these guys are mostly VPNers, but I could be wrong) to name a few. IIRC the OCE servers are in Sydney (or Melbourne) so if you're outside of those states or even Australia you just have to put up with 80+ ping. Hell even within Australia with decent internet, I still have to deal with 75-150 ping, depending on the traffic on the server, weather, server/providor issues or multiple people in my house using the network.
As someone else from OCE, I concur. I always run 23-28 ping, but am constantly hit through pallets and windows. I consume hours of DBD content a day and know this isn't how it should be. I'm actually surprised when I don't get hit through a window nowadays.
On the flip side, when I play killer, survivors get silky smooth vaults. It is super disheartening so be ripped off as survivor, and then also be ripped off as killer. 😪

Really enjoy Bubba's nowadays. They're almost always cool. Scary to face, and a real heart pump to loop… but mostly fair and reasonable, thougha little prone to getting done on the map RNG…
Actually been playing him more lately. He is one hell of a snowball character. If the survivors don't give you a wide berth and try to be cheeky looking for pallet saves, flashies and alike, one false step and you suddenly switch a game from feeling like you're leaning on the ropes, sucking in air and trying to survive, to throwing a single punch, catching the chin and you're now swinging for a knockout.
Lots of fun… but I'm really trying to work out how you play without Bamboozle… because it seems frigging dire without it… That said, the new perk Unbound might be the sauce…
How to play without Bamboozle: When they start running to a T&L or Shack, just drop chase. You can only beat a survivor at these tiles if they make a mistake, but usually you will be forced to M1 at the window. This is a waste of time and there are plenty of other people to chase. 🤠
-
- I'm a Bubba main.
- Bubba is my favourite to play against.
- I run UW/NTH, Game Afoot, Nemesis, Rancor.
- I only chase, use M2, and try to mori endgame.
- I always regret not having Bamboozle.
Unfortunately, maps are getting smaller, and pallet/window density higher. These changes mean playing off-meta Bubba is becoming less and less enjoyable. 😓
-
No, WoO doesn't need a nerf. If you feel WoO is causing you that many problems, just bring a blindness perk or addon. There are PLENTY of them.
I have 3k hours with 50/50 killer/survivor. If I care about WoO, I bring blindness. If I they have WoO and I don't have blindness, I just eat through resources. You also don't need to chase the WoO survivor that is running from yellow to yellow.
In short, don't play like a bot. Have a strategy instead of relying on BHVR to nerf every perk into oblivion.
-
Good luck forcing people to play a game they don't want to play. I get 1 free DC a day. I'll DC against SM if I want. I'll DC against slugging Nurse if I want. I'll DC against Clown if I want. My group and I just don't find them fun to play against. 🤷♂️
In reality, what are they going to do?
Q) Make DC penalties worse? A) People will just kill themselves on first hook.
Q) Make killing yourself on 1st hook somehow punishable? A) Just go AFK until the game ends. The killer will get sick of birds eventually.
Q) Remove the Disconnect button? A) Oh nooo, my internet/game is crashing. *force close/unplug internet*
Even if you somehow find a way to punish people to some extreme, they won't play an unfun match. They will find a way to circumvent it, or they will just stop playing altogether.
-
They have nerfed so many survivor perks into being unusable that they are now going back for perks released with the game in 2016.
If a perk has been fine since release, why do they feel the need to go back and nerf it into oblivion now?
-
As a fellow Bubba main, the secret is to not watch them at the exit gate. Just go around the map breaking doors, and farm more BP.
For the event, I'm currently running an M2 only BP farming Wesker. Beast of Prey, Distressing, Thrill of the Hunt, Bamboozle. Addons are Egg and Cricket. I just chase and chase. Hook and leave, I'm even ignoring others near the hook, or instant unhooks to find others. When the last gen is done, I open the exit gates and tell them to leave.
I'm having a blast with it and practising my M2 at the same time. Survivors are also loving it, no BM, no teabags, no garbage in endgame chat. 😎🤙
-
Just watched the Blight match. Dude even said it himself:
"These are the builds they need to out a Blight on Blood Lodge" and "This is what they need to almost get 4k1'd on Blood Lodge"
Does he not see the complete hypocrisy as he is running Pop, Pain Res, Grim Embrace, Agitation?
Also goes on to say "If they didn't have OTR, I would have just tunnelled one of them out".
He is basically saying "I'm allowed to bring and do whatever I want, but survivors aren't"
Mind you, this is apparently after nobody even touched a gate for 1946 games? It is wild and speaks to the community as a whole. The way they acted throughout the streak, the way they acted throughout the game, and the way their chat acted as well. It is not healthy...
-
Overdrive and LoPro.
But in all seriousness, he needs a serious look. Since the changes to maps, the pallet density has increased. This means there is less open areas between safe pallets/loops. In the past it was alright, because you could eat all the pallets and create a deadzone. However, by the time you do that now, the gens are all gone.
He needs to be faster, charge faster, and have less punish on his bumps. Billy is just a way better option overall. Billy has negligible downsides in comparison to Bubba. Also, the fact Bamboozle is a must on him, it would be nice to see something similar basekit.
-
But I like it on Bubba. It counters WoO so well, as well as hides the hooks for people not in SWF. You can see the massive difference in skill when people can't just run from yellow to yellow. 🤣

Yes i know i quick switched and I made sure to include that part in the video so that i dont hid anything but he had lightborn anyway so did it really end up mattering? Yes i was running a gimmick build because i dont like running full meta builds (thats boring) but basically all of my perks were useless. I didnt tbag or bm and still got hard tunneled and hit on the hook for some reason. What exactly was the deal here?
As a killer player, I don't really care about quick switching. In fact, I usually don't even notice the lobby because I am doing builds, spending BP, or alt tabbed. However, it can be fun to chase quick switchers because I figure they are up for whatever happens. They might be the most experienced on the team and give me a good chase.
In this case, I don't think it was the quick switch.
1) You were first chased, first downed, first hooked.
2) When you got unhooked, he only saw the unhooker and you. The other two people were in the basement.
3) You were now injured and the other guy wasn't. If I didn't find anyone else, I would chase you too.
4) When you went down the next time, the invocation spell had finished.
5) After the unhook he was down two gens and an invocation. With three gens left and you on death hook, he needed to take you out of the game.
6) Your team flocked in to protect you, and did exactly what he wanted. He got huge pressure, many injured/downed, and nobody on gens.
7) Hitting on hook silences the ear-piercing survivor scream.
That's it really. I play about 50/50 killer and survivor and 90% of the time it isn't personal. I'm just trying to achieve my goals, just like the other players. I chase who I see, but I will tunnel if I feel it will put me in a better position. 🤷♂️
Edit: In this case though it certainly looks like you were trying to troll with a BM quickswitch. Your build is all about blinding/stunning/slowing the killer. It looks like you wanted to have killer interactions, and he obliged. 👍️

You angered the Bubba. Well the Billy in this case but same principle.
I included a video that has six helpful tips to avoid this. It's older now but still applies to your match.
https://youtu.be/n18RuMRmTvc?si=QtEJ6gl-eJjDE6WO
You broke nearly all of these rules. Silly Claire.
This video will help explain why all these things happen. Enjoy.
As a Bubba main, I would like to say THIS IS SLANDER!!!...but I cannot.
I can add a few more:
1) After stunning the Bubba, staring at him from the other side of the pallet.
2) After leaping through a window with your REsiLIeNCe, pointing at the Bubba and nodding.
3) After making a Bubba bump, just standing there watching him tantrum.
Personally, while I as a Bubba main enjoy these interactions, I will also most certainly camp someone while hitting and nodding in return. Sometimes they will even get chainsawed on hook. Or, I will stand there until the anti-camp Kobe, just so I can chainsaw them down again. In my mind, the survivors know what they have done to deserve this, and this is a fair transaction. 🤠
(P.S: This is all fun and games and I am not actually mad about it. I do all of these things to fellow Bubba players before sacrificing myself to them at the end of the game)
Remember folks, you have to feed Bubbas to make them big and strong! We are a dying breed, an endangered species even. More kills means more Bubbas. 😍
-
Killer, without question. I get stressed about many things playing killer. Stress about chases, generators, playing optimally. I get stressed about my playstyle, whether I am playing 'fair'. Then if you play fair you have to play even harder or you are stressed about getting teabagged at the exit gates. Then after that you have to stress about what the survivors are going to say in endgame chat, because they almost always have something toxic to say. I'm at the point now where I just play however I want, and expect the toxicity at the end.
Survivor isn't stressful because after seeing that the devs want a <40% winrate on survivor, I just go in not expecting to survive. I make my own fun, have a laugh, say gg and move on.
The only time I get stressed as survivor is when I am completing a ridiculous challenge, or one that requires me to do something specific and then escape. These suck to do in SoloQ and require you to play like a rat. However, the same can be said about killer challenges and these can be even more stressful because you have nobody else to help you. Some of these challenges even require you to play like a jerk for which you will get toxicity in endgame chat.

Weird how people are saying the timer change wasn't important. Yet when I looked at the post about the pig changes all I saw were people complaining about the timer changes. 🤔
Now the complaints are about the pig box auras, but pigs can just use scream/aura builds and still see where they are. It's my bet that Pigs still just use four gen regression perks. 🤷♂️
The changes I would like to see are if survivors are blind they can't see the boxes either. This should also extend to Wesker, Nemesis, Plague, etc. 👍️

There sure are a lot of killer portraits in here talking about making a mode that was already horrible for survivors even more horrible. 😨

They changed it for the same reason they censored Chucky's swearing in his intro video.
They changed it for the same reason there is an extremely restrictive word filter on the website and in endgame chat.
They changed it for the same reason they changed it from "The Entity is Displeased..." to "The Entity Hungers..."
They made these changes to not hurt people's feelings...in a game where you horribly murder each other, and there are talks of the "power role" all the time. 🤢

Back in the day, if we had a tunneller, we would do gens until just before second stage. Then you trade, or take hits for the person. This way, three people are still on split gens for approximately 60s before going for the save. Then you still have 2 in chase and 2 on gens. If you do well enough you should get 3-4 gens out of 2-3 hooks.
However, nowadays, people will just instantly unhook, allowing you to be tunnelled out without any benefit to the survivors.
Survivors farming survivors is what is making tunnelling so efficient. 🤷♂️
