I disagree. He's fine. How you can't catch someone in a loop when you can close 30m gaps and jump pallets is beyond me. Stop making mistakes and wanting the game to correct them with crutch perks/addons.

DH or not, you still wouldn't have got the kill. Your hit would propel her further into the exit and she would have escaped while your attack animation was playing.
I don't run DH, but my situation would be the same, you'd be mad because my Lithe went off on the window and I got out.

Wesker is one of the buggiest releases we've had, only usurped by the twins. Seeing as other killers get kill switched pretty regularly youd think theyd do the same for Wesker since he has multiple ways of getting perma stuck.
"Pretty regularly" Two killers could make it so you were unable to save from hook but were not kill-switched. Oni was getting too much blood from players actions for months, he was not kill-switched.
Nurse and Clown have been the only two that got kill-switched in recent times. If they didn't kill-switch Oni because he had new AoT skins, you can bet your bottom dollar that they aren't going to kill-switch Wesker during his release.
It's not about a functional and enjoyable game, it's about revenue.

30 meters around 1 gen is not broken, 30 meters around 3-4 gens is 50-90% of the map covered(depending on realm and gen spawn) in perma wall hacks with the killer having to abandon all chases and invest in a 1.8 second animation to get rid of it(per gen) and the killer has no way of knowing if wiretap is in play or not. Do you think old OOO was perfectly balanced too? this is basically that but requiring 4 survivors to run 2 perk each or 50% investment instead of 1/16. 30 meters is almost the size of the standard killer TR(32)
Oh the travesty! Killers having to kick gens?!

I have been a casual player for a couple of months, mostly at weekends......
Not bothered about positive feedback, just seems to me that playing something that's frustrating will cause people to stop playing.......
I played a good part of yesterday with my son alternating as killers , I think I got 2 kills all day, As soon as you chase one person your looped silly, then they send you messages saying your tunnelling........
Whilst in a loop it's impossible to catch up, seems broken considering a killer moves quicker........
There is a catch-up mechanic named Bloodlust, I highly recommend learning the rules on it. Also when survivors jump the same window in chase 3 times, it becomes blocked. Furthermore I would learn how to shut down loops. There are a lot of great videos on YouTube that will help you with this.
Good luck and don't give up!

The new patch is the perfect time for me to branch out, start learning some new killers, and see who I enjoy.
I’ve been practicing my Plague, Trapper and Nemesis but I think I’m going to settle on Wesker when he comes out.
I am really looking forward to Wesker too, mainly because I feel like he is close to being a survivor in his looping abilities.

I don't mean the tunneling where there's multiple survivors and you down the one that went on hook and another I mean seeing another survivor but going out of your way to still just go after who was just on hook. That kind of tunneling is just a scummy thing to do and I don't know why people do it.
It is scummy, but it is insanely effective. If you can make the game a 3v1 by tunnelling someone off hook at the start of the game, you have a substantially better chance of winning. It also demoralises the team, and may even cause some to disconnect. This all increases your chances of winning, which increases your MMR.
However, the problem is that by using that tactic to get to higher MMR, killers will come up against skilled teams who know how to counter it.

Since reset, I am like 1 escape for 8 games, soloQ really is in shambles. Really goes to show how much of an advantage killers have right now if everyone in the game is playing at the very best.
With the changes my role went from being a gen-jockey to an annoyance for the killer. Gens are so boring and take so long that I'd rather just flashlight, and loop the killer until they quit. :D
-
Wait, you're mad because the killers got buffed so much that many people don't want to play survivor and so the queues are instant? Your solution is to kick the survivors in the guts and make it so survivors are punished if they die on hook?
"Waaaa! It's too easy for them to get into new games! Behaviour should MAKE them play with ######### teammates and toxic killers!"
-
Just another bad killer who won't be happy until survivors start the game already on the hook.
Honestly, people like OP, and other prominent killer streamers won't be happy until they are destroying teams like the hacker-bot I get in my games. Even then they would still cry because they have to aim.
I'm just happy that all these people will go and play against bots when they are released because real people are too hard to play against.
-
I didn't get anything yesterday on either of my accounts. I also didn't receive anything today on either of my accounts.
-
No thank you, I like the way it is now. If I wanted to hear noises, I wouldn't have the option to mute on. You're actively playing a game, don't Alt+Tab and AFK and it's not a problem.

looking up is a better habit than looking down, since you still get flashbanged while looking down.
generally though, you might grow to prefer flashlight squads over gen rush squads. more fun to be had constantly messing around with each other than guys that just wanna gtfo
I agree, looking up also counters crouching basement blinds.
-
No, it doesn't annoy me at all. I mainly play Bubba and Nemesis and it's fun to just Terminator through pallets with Enduring and Spirit Fury. If I am confident in my gen situation I will take pallet stuns and flashlights all game. If you can eat the pallets and flashlights in early game it means survivors aren't on gens, and they won't have resources for the late-game.
Learn to love the chase. Take it as a learning experience. Winning isn't everything and will actually work against you by putting you into more games with those people.
-
Great idea! But why even have Flannel when they could just make it so the Nurse can lock onto the nearest person in their blink? I know the Nurse can already queue attacks in blink to make it impossible for the survivors to react, but it needs to be even easier. Playing the nurse and landing her blinks is just too hard, and I really think you should be able to lock onto survivors if you blink and they are within a 10 metre range.

I have 2 healing builds. Active and Passive
Active with Botany, Desperate measure, We'll make it. Botany got nerfed
Passive with Pharmacy, Autodidact, Solidarity/Empathic connection. Pharmacy got nerfed.
What?
Very similar builds haha, I did try Autodidact but it was too sporadic.
If I am running healing I run Empathy, CoH, Pharmacy
Combat medic is: For the People, Vigil, WGLF <----Very iffy in Solo-q
I just want to run fun builds that are actually useful.

Your name is MommyHunktress, I can only assume you play huntress. Please sir, how do you loop a huntress?

Same to Botany, the point is the heal teammate faster. At the cost of Brown Medkit cant heal yourself.
If you bring/found a Brown medkit, since you cant make use of Medkit, you should give to teammate. But then why using Botany when you give teammate Medkit?
Exactly! I don't even bring Botany anymore. I'd rather just run Pharmacy and drop the coins to spawn extra boxes. That way I can be a combat medic for my team.

yeah saboteur perk is pretty useless. they should make the perk increase sabotage action speed by 70% and make the perk not go on cooldown when interrupted.
I don't understand why you can't buff the speed of your Saboteur skill if you are carrying (not using) a toolbox with Hacksaw/Wire. That means you have given it a perk slot AND your item slot. That's a huge trade-off to run 1 perk. At this point it is just easier to bring in a toolbox and a different perk, lol.

some aspects of sabotaging in general might need buffs but if sabotaging ever becomes viable in average play its probably gonna be the most unfun game for the killers
also yeah some perks need less cooldown or smth
Definitely! I used to play in 2016 when Jake could perma-Sab and it was not fun for killers, but with the increased hooks, and recent buffs for killer Saboteur is even less useful than it was two months ago. :(

Still bugged, I have completed it twice now. Once with an aid-kit, once with a ranger med-kit. Straight off hook heals, making sure it was a full state with med-kit only. I also made sure to heal another person just in case.
I have video evidence of the challenge not completing.

I have been playing killer since then and it is much more enjoyable than in the past. However, I do feel like I do not have to try as hard. With gen regression, it is easy to choose a three-gen and protect it. When you get to the last two survivors, you can face-camp one, and it will take a minimum of 90 seconds for them to complete a generator. A hook state is 60 seconds, that is 1.5 hook states.
My build has been Overcharge, Eruption, Surge, and Deadlock. It is extremely oppressive. So far I have convincingly won all my games with minimal effort.

Are we honestly complaining about legion, a bottom tier killer? I'm not getting any 20 minute games, most end at 4 gens. Thana buff was 2%, get over it. Post patch legion with 4 slowdowns is worse than pre patch legion with 4. Legion is easy af to beat and the fad will pass when survivors git gud and learn how to beat it.
Thana buff was actually 14% per generator in combination with the base increase from 80-90 seconds per generator.

That is completely avoided if the survivors split up.
Which is why they are split up. Although as it is now, survivors can all spawn together without the use of an offering. A lot of the time I will spawn with two other players nearby and we split off. I enjoy the randomness of it as it allows variety in the early game.

Yup, it really is unenjoyable. It seems like they want killers to simply be able to brute force a win without any skillful plays or mindgames. Break the pallets super fast, but if you don't here's some bloodlust to end the chase quicker. Don't want to pressure gens? Well we'll just make them take longer. Instead of balancing so that M1 killers stood more of a chance they just slapped a band aid fix over everything, classic.
I just don't understand, they achieved what they wanted, which was to increase the kill rate, but they have made everything else miserable. Playing mid-high MMR is simply unfun. M1 killers got a bit of a buff from this patch, but the main killers also got a buff from this patch.
I just don't see why anyone would play anything else than the best/easiest killers now for easy wins. The killers will then go up in MMR against solo-q players until they meet SWFs who can communicate. These killers will then get destroyed by SWF and complain to BHVR. BHVR will then listen to the killers and balance the game around SWF again.
I guess this is what they think a "competitive" game is...

How long does it take you to run to another generator whilst Blight focuses on another survivor?
So, they all spawn together. Blight comes and disrupts everyone. To get to gens that are not being chased by Blight would be approximately 10-15 seconds. Longer if CI is active. That's a long time to waste every game. Meanwhile, Blight can just rush around the map harassing gens. It doesn't sound like much but an extra 20 seconds can be huge with gen changes.
-
Nah, played against an Oni today with the new skin. He had unlimited rage. Would down, instant pick up, hook, and be back to full rage.
-
If everyone spawned together, anyone, especially Blight with Lethal Pursuer will be able to chase 4 people off gens at the start of the game every game. This, coupled with the increase in gen times would be horrendous.
-
All I see here is "I don't need to try or be skilled and I can get a 4k!"
There are going to be a lot more killers at least...
Good luck everyone!
-
I was excited about the changes today.
My first game, I went up against the bugged Oni (you think they'd fix him with a new skin release). He had one-shot all game and camped hooks. Still ran the new gen regression perks. Game did not seem fair at all.
Second game, played against a huntress, she wasn't skilled, but the changes allowed her to get a 4k. Again, the gen regression along with extra time felt like doing gens was near impossible. Also, the reduction in attack, and damage sprint meant there was no distance to be gained. It's interesting watching how fast the killers smash stuff with Alert though.
Overall it's extremely demoralising to play solo survivor, and I'm not going to play solo-q again. Playing solo-q without communication and with the perk changes just feels unfair which is unenjoyable.
I guess I'll go back to playing killer, it will be a hell of a lot easier to tunnel and camp now. :)
