I never said it's hard to dodge. I asked how is it balanced you can just sit still, snipe'n and win, with no chase or very little player engagement.
-
She can win a match with zero chase.

There's this really cool killer that came out about 6 years ago called Pyramid head that can do the same thing.
He counters every single perk. Wanna list all the killer perks they cant use either?
phead can't simply snipe across the map. Judgement doesnt have to chase like phead to secure downs.

The biggest downfall about SBMM is that if there aren't enough high-ranking players currently online within your region, then you'll be facing off against people you have no business playing with or against. Believe me I feel your pain. I'm a very casual player myself, and I rarely touch killer as it is, and when the new ranking system went into effect I played one match with Doctor and one match with Pyramid Head, and I only managed one hook with Doctor and one kill with Pyramid Head. It was miserable. The other night I played three back-to-back matches with Nemesis and I only managed one kill in each match.
Technically speaking I should have the lowest of the low when it comes to SBMM for killer, and yet I just get walked all over. It hasn't been fun at all, and I feel everyone's pain with the new MMR. The amount of people playing killer is dwindling, and unless BHVR does something soon, the queue times for survivor is going to get ridiculously long.
Guess I'll just do what I see other killers doing, throwing multiple games in a row so they can actually play the game. Not deal with the BS.
-
I have been trying to do a kill 12 survivors challenge for 5 games. not a single kill. It's stupid
-
This new system also causes another major problem on the survivor side, and I'm 100% sure the devs don't care.
This new escape based MMR means if I want to play at higher ranks and know I can count on my team mates, I have ZERO incentive other than BP to interact and help my team mates now. I have no problem farming people to make sure I get out to keep that MMR up.
Screw my teammates, it's about that escape now bois.

I got 2 kills off 10 and 1 off 8 in my last couple of games. Playing nicely gets you nowhere. Ive seen a lot of tunneling when playing survivor, they all get 4k doing that, it works.....
And it's a problem. Any yahoo can hook hump and tunnel. It shouldn't be rewarded.
The same argument can be said on the survivor side. If survivors slam the gens and escape without chase, without altruism we depip. There is no reward for doing the bare minimum.
-
BIG F-N NO!
How is the simple act of escaping considered the item of skill, when the players that get carried get out, and the ones who run the killer, unhook, take hits, and keep the killer engaged are considered unskilled by this metric.

Why I have always at least one baboon in a team? Like compleeete idiot, not simply bad looper, it's just person that has no common sense. Am I supposed to do what? I don't understand. SWF? Those are probably some 10-13 years olds, downloaded dbd an hour ago. And why they are not matched all together and just do their 70 IQ things? I should carry them? Ok If I loop, they repair gens, but they don't. They don't loop, don't repair gens, what is this?? Why I have them in my teams... You add them to balance my 150 IQ? That's not math competition, I can't doing gens, looping, unhooking simultaneously. Every survivor does its job according to situation. If even one doesn't all loose. How about you gather all such players and matchmake them together in teams and maybe give them a bot killer cause even blind killer would dominate them? That is what natural selection does, natural. Our matchmaking is based on some similar number? No way! They mostly crounch in grass and sit in locker, I stopped doing it after 30h in game. 4/5 games that I don't escape, is not cause killer is good, but cause survivors that I am matched with are bad. So bad! Who read minds?? Be a lamp, enlighten me what is happening in devs minds, cause people talk they are being silent for 5 years so we need mind readers.
I agree with an idea dbd requires a public chat for finding party, it's really the great idea to fix having idiots in a team. To compensate no matchmaking system. And I heard it's that bad for years. ๐จ The biggest problem in solo for me is idiots in a team that ruin game. You loose most of times not because killer is skilled or overpowered, but because you got idiots in a team, sometimes more than 1. In a surv gameplay the actions that are required from you are determined by conditions and quite straightforward. There are not many options really what you should do in a particular situation. The only "skill" exists on surv is looping, all the rest is simple common sense. There is nothing hard. So even If idiots come to lobbies, they will be kicked and either forced to use brain/improve at game or play with other idiots in automatic matchmaking. It would force players to have responsibility for what they do. Now community is allowed to be as stupid and imbecilic as it wishes. That is why there are tons of discord LFP dbd channels. You don't even need voice, but just players who are idk even who they are... 10 y.olds..? This is just embarassing ๐ฑ
I feel you. Today I got stuck with a claud that immediately as the match started dropped pallet next to us as she walked through it, then failed a skill check on gen. Obviously now the killer knows where his first target it. She then body blocks me and I take the hit while she gets away.
There's absolutely ZERO chance that our MMR is close to each other, why is she in the match? It's gotta be because of SWF.
A few games later against a wraith. All three team mates are not near each other, but across the map from me. None working on a Gen, none making any movement towards me, all of them crouching behind something. Afraid to play the game. Maybe that's why I feel like I get tunneled some of these games, maybe it's because I'm the only one not hiding in the grass trying to do stuff.

I see pipping as the most useful way to see if I win, not escaping. You can literally do nothing, escape and depip. If i die, but was able to obtain enough to gain a pip, whoop I won.

Most op perk... Change my mind. All the survivors run it.
Never once used it, I think it's too situational.

I'm sorry to say this, but not everyone is omnipresent (shocker). Maybe instead of building the frustration up of multiple people asking constantly the same thing, maybe they should have said on their social media: "We are working on colorblindness options, and it should be ready within the next few months". It's not perfect, but maybe being transparent with your playerbase, even if it leads to more frustration, is better than making the entire company you work for look bad.
The same person asked the same question over and over again. His stream states "Opinions expressed are not necessarily those of Behaviour or the DbD design team." End of discussion, the person harrassing him is in the wrong, and that should have been the end of it, but no, entitled people and victim culture are playing out directly in front of us.

Apparently asking about colorbindness options is considered bullying? Are you giving a definition or are you describing yourself? I'm genuinely curious.
There's a very stark difference between asking about a topic, and repeatedly asking someone about it that doesn't control said topic, on their personal time, after having been told an answer several times.

Don't let yourself 3 gen, ignore basement hooks, crouch for saves and gens

That's the normal experience for killers except for really good killers who have mastered their characters. I am pretty sure the person you are responding to was being sarcastic.
If you want the killer role to be a chill experience, pick Bubba, hook a survivor and camp. If you enjoy potatoes, I recommend you have some on hand because the survivors will give you plenty of salt to use.
In all seriousness, if you need someone to convince you to play a game, then that game is no longer fun for you and it would be best to try something new.
I'm not asking for convincing to play the game. I'm frustrated with the legitimate lack of actual fun in the matches that I am getting. I cannot get into a match where I'm happy with it. Mostly it's team mates that would rather be doing anything other than what needs to be done, or doing things in the Red ranks that someone in that experience of play time SHOULDN'T be doing.
It's just not fun and it's frustrating because I want to play.

Did you try Killer, it's a fun and chill experience
I have, I seem to get sweaty, bully survivors that put me right back in the mindset of this isn't fun. I don't mind chasing, and pallet stuns and stuff. It's the super sweaty, bullying that I run into, and I'm not even that high rank.

Keys are fine.
- Like CertArn said, the key is useless until the end of the game, except for a few addons
- They actually have to survive the match
- If they "dont do anything" like OP says, then they'll depip for not actually involving themselves risking loss of the key
- Killers get to see items before the match starts, so you have the added benefit. You can use Franklin's Demise
-
There should be penalty for doing it, and camping hooks. I just recently played a game, dude chased while we did 4 gens, finally gets the hook then just stands in front of it.

Happened again, start of the match I go left, then right and my character jumps back left. I CANNOT PLAY THIS GAME WORKING LIKE THIS. IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MY INTERNET AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH YOUR CONNECTION.
