Well I waited now 6 hours to play the game. I got banned for "disconnection" but it was my connection, it's not my fault. And when i started this game it happned again. I got banned now for 24 hours! And that's just pain. I already made an ban appeal? Will they even unban or help me in this case. Or do I have to deal with that until i get perma banned?

I feel for you, dude. I have really good internet but like you, it is sporadic at times. There is absolutely nothing I can do because the govt. made it where certain zones can only have one provider that is assigned to it. I assume to make it fair game for smaller internet companies to stay in business. It just happens randomly, for no reason at all, internet outage. That's Cox Cable for you.

We know, believe me we know. I know people see it as empty words coming from me, but genuinely the team are working hard to try to resolve the issues on consoles and I believe they are making some headway but it's sadly taking time - I do feel bad about it, a lot of my friends also play on consoles, so I see the struggles they've had, especially with freezings.

Please enable mouse and keys on console.

  • Legit question. How can we keep the characters and cosmetics but not the map? Is that really in the contract?

  • I love Hawkins as Scratch Mirror Myers and Trapper. I also liked it as survivor.

If my purchased content goes away, or becomes a plague of bugs in the future that can never be fixed then I will never buy another dlc again.

I've learned to just grin and bear it honestly. The toxicity will always be there, and the matchmaking is still screwed up. It's been over a year since I started this post and they're still chatting up the MMR. At this point I don't even know why they bother because there's more proof of this not happening then anything. I know there's a test going on right now, but it's a completely different system than what was implemented a year ago, so who the hell knows what to expect at this point?

Dang dude. Idk what to say other than watch some vids and find friends to run a custom with. You have to learn as you play tbh. I hope it gets better for you. Tunnel one out immediately if you have too.

  • So... How is the killer games coming along now?

  • I run survivor atm in result to the game freezes, I feel your pain.

I heard if you plug up a ssd through the usb and run the game on that it shouldn't have any lag.

  • Try looking for a 3 gen from jump street and defend it with your life.

  • I know of two devs that play killer on twitch.

They both camp and tunnel while survivors are on the forum saying please fix this. LMAO

  • If you back out then you're in the Q more when you could have been playing lol

  • Solo Q:

    fast track

  • I do on every bad console nurse that plays fair.

I also do when my swf buddies bully the hell out of them and they still play fair.

Yes mate, learning to get better at not being tunnelled is what I need to do.

    cheers

I mean it's still going to happen but more tools the better.

I learned I play better after a break. I don't take this game serious anymore and my play style is better in result.

    Best of luck dude.

  • Then learn from it like I had to do.

Old ruin: I learned to hit greats.

Tunneled: I learned loops, tactics & perks.

Camped: I stayed as long as possible to buy my team time on gens.

Everyone wants free wins now and complain online for the devs to cater to them when they don't succeed.

Try to learn and get better after a small break from the game.

  • I run it on my gen rush builds, just keep track with what gens get done and you will love it.

  • @Lx_malice said:

My current console nurse build is Whispers / Shadowborn / Infectious Fright / Bbq or Ruin.

You'll notice that I personally like using tracking perks and that's because I'm pretty confident in my ability to down people and just need to be able to find them quickly. If her bugs feel like screwing me over on a particular day then I'll just throw on ruin to buy myself a bit of extra time.

If you're just trying to learn her then I suggest stacking 2 or 3 slowdown perks like Ruin/Undying or Corrupt/Pop so you have more time to practice her and have more chases and you can try using I'm All Ears to learn survivor patterns better when they vault like how they move and what mindgames they might try to do. You can also use Shadowborn which is kind of a double edge sword. When I was first learning her a couple years back it helped me immensely with easing into the feel of Nurse. It's extremely addicting though because it feels so nice to run. Eventually I stopped using it because I didn't really need it anymore and realized there was better stuff to run. Then I took a break and came back and I was ass so now I run it again. I think it's about time I took it off again though but like I said it's addicting.

You can also try using her plaid flannel add-on but I don't really recommend using it for more than one or maybe two games. You just want to get a general idea of how her blinks work and how far they go with it. It's not good to use to practice chases because it messes with your concentration.

Other than that most people will tell you not to run any add-ons because it will mess with your muscle memory, but this is only partly true. You can still use things like blink recharge and even fatigue reduction and you should still be fine because even after you learn her these will be the add-ons you run most of the time anyways. If you have a hard time tracking survivors after you hit them then metal spoon can help with that too.

Another tip I have is to try playing at a high sensitivity. You want to at least be able to play at something like 60+ (especially if you have crossplay enabled) (Mine is 70). Which brings me to my next point. You might want to turn off crossplay while you practice her. It's really up to you but pc players will usually be alot better at knowing how to run a Nurse than a console player would. This is because Nurse is a bit more frequent on pc so naturally the survivors had more time to develop their "counterplay" against her. It's really up to you though whether you want to learn how to counter their "counterplay" now or later.

Anyways good luck and don't hesitate to ask about anything else because I love helping aspiring console nurse players. (I'm sure the essay gives that away)

Can confirm, this guy helped me. I'm more partial to the slugging nurse now but when I started I had to run aura and gen slow down perks.

I was lucky because I started learning her before crossplay.

1st started, ruin, pop, I'm all ears, sloppy. Now, deerstalker, bbq, infectious, nurses calling.

I also took a couple months off, now I am indeed ass. LOL

Let them troll and bully, keep calm and practice on them. You will get it, not impossible.

  • I've been watching a dev here lately on twitch play killer. That guy camps 85% of the time. lol Fair game I say. Play how you want to play.

  • You just successfully described why it needed a nerf.

DS still works btw, just no more abuse as you stated.

I don't run ds or any other second chance perks on survivor.

I run to loops and pallets, in fact not relying on them has improved my game and allows me to have fun with other perks.

  • My wife and myself main Myers but we have been playing survivor together here lately. We faced a couple Myers before the new chapter.

We usually see a Myers 2 out of 12 games.

    in myers Comment by Sodahead
  • Doing gens in solo Q? I never seen it outside myself. It's about time another solo Q survivor does gens. LOL

  • I was bullied hard af when I was learning nurse. I'm a console gamer. It was rough as hell for about 70 games tbh.

I kept the mind set of, one day. One day I will be the bully and we will see what's up then.

I used all their trolling and teabagging tactics to my advantage by practicing on them.

Being bullied was a great thing for me. I learned to not take this game serious, learn from the gameplay and to have fun.

I eventually started bullying so bad survivors would kneel and give me their items but I remember. I sacrifice all of them.

It will come my guy, you have to put the time in. I find playing trapper is easier ( for me ) setting traps in chase to shut down loops instead of losing gens by setting up traps.

    Hope this helps.

  • I'm a casual player because of the long Q, that time adds up. If it was within a min. or two, I would absolutely play more.

If majority of the bugs was fixed, I wouldn't take months worth of breaks.

I am not a fan of the new chapter either but I still purchased it to support the game and for the new perks.

  • Casual player here, been playing for years. Yes, I do all of those things. All kill is for PC players because his recoil is unplayable on console, at least for me.

  • I only used them with 4 blendettes dressed the same in my lobby.

  • You 2 guys have some serious skill I guess. Don't worry about it. Have a good one laids.

mostly likely because cage don't work like hook you get less point no hook perks work on them killer or survivor.

Maybe, I don't really care to be honest. I don't play him. I just get fed up with bad survivors and bad killers dictating the game. Opening suggestions to a degree will kill this game eventually.

  • Survivors move fast and behavior moves just as fast in their favor. You can see them on hooks and camp those because the devs say it's a tactic and they do not see a problem with it. Turn them hooks into cages, then that's not fair. Lmao

Fair point but even if there were changes planned he wouldn't be allowed to say anything about them, he could still think the character is fine despite something comming up. But that is probably just me being overly hopeful and you're probably more than spot on and there will be nothing actually impactful for like another year.

Yeah I understand gamer. I want a rework entirely like they can only mend if survivors equipped botany and self care or have a med kit. That would make them dumb perks more valuable if you ask me and his power stronger.

I'm sure you have a job, ppl. talk. Yes, he can't say if they have a rework in mind but the answer He gave leads me to believe they love the nerf on him because that's a crazy response. Idk, I am reading in between the lines. Maybe you're right, I hope you're right.

Pretty sure that Peanits is just a community manager which means he has no impact on development itself, him thinking they are fine is just an opinion doesn't mean the devs feel the same.

Regarding the actual topic, i'd agree that they need a proper power update. It's honestly crazy to me how some people think that a pure m1 killer in chase is in any way shape or form justifiable.

True but as I just stated as you wrote this, He knows more than we do because he is on the inside. If he sees nothing in the foreseeable future then that means it was discussed and denied I assume. Community Management or not, he does work there.

  • @GodNap said:

    peanits it's not behaviour itself...

True but He knows more than we do. I understand, I main Legion. I want a rework as well. Hit his stream up on Twitch as I do and tell him what's up. I do. LOL

  • Sorry. Peanits said he likes Legion where he currently is. No rework and no buffs for the foreseeable future.

  • Someone on stream said Hex:Ruin should be 200% regression when active and 125% regression when it's gone.

Ok, since you only give attitude to everyone who isn't a yes man, I'll let you have your echo chamber.

I've only been rude to one other person besides you. The asshat troll and you because you keep trying to tell me to move on. Echo chamber? No. It's called tips and fellow love of playing her.

If you don't like playing her then STOP playing her. Lol I agree fps is bad but what can we do about it? Nothing. It's still not going to stop me from playing the game in general.

You're the one coming in here with all this so therefore you set the tone in my responses. If you're chill, I'm chill. It's that one universal law you hear about as a kid. Literally my last two games. Go ahead, play her, but expect to work way harder for worse results than other killers like spirit and Freddy. Also expect to have to restart your PlayStation often for frame rate issues.

But in both of these games, not a single decent survivor.

I went from r1 killer to r6. Easy depips.

Are you in red ranks yet? I wanna see your enthusiasm after facing one good team. Then try 10 in a row.

Dude. What do you want me to say here? You had some good games but why are you trying to discourage me from playing a new killer outside the easier ones?

I want to learn nurse on ps4 as well, but i'm too scared of the red ranks (I'm rank 6, so I can get rank 1s). Any tips to lose this fear?

I use all games as a learning experience for sure. I also play their troll games to practice blinks for other games. I depiped a lot playing her. Rank doesn't matter to me since I play against all ranks anyways. Read through this post and stick with it. There are some cool guys in this post giving me tips.

When I started playing her I got no hits. Then I started landing hits. Then I started getting hooks. Then I started getting kills. Then I started getting some 4ks. Some games I get no kills. Depends on the survivors, maps and my gameplay. You will do fine eventually.

I'm all ears is good for learning prediction blinks but I'd leave it once you get better at reading movement

Also using a headset is great in general but is even better on nurse as you can hear where a survivor is behind a wall

Also although I never used it, I've heard shadow borne is good as you can see survivors easier while fatigued

A lot ppl say shadow bourne is one of those must have perks on her. I have to level up wraith to get it and I haven't done that yet. Ppl also say corrupt intervention is a must. I have not got that one either. 😂

  • Are you not aware how Nurse works? I don't have to camp basement to dive down and smack you idiots who rush in as soon as I blink out. I will show you I'm sure in game if I do well.

  • @Lx_malice said:

Any time man. Game could always use more Nurse players. I used to run I'm all ears a bit myself. It can definitely be very useful but you're right the long cooldown sucks and after you learn survivors movements you won't really need it and there will be better stuff to run. My main build consists of alot of tracking perks so i can always make the best use of my time and ruin. The new hex ruin is amazing on a highly mobile killer like nurse who's able to easily switch between targets and pressure gens. Another perk i use is infectious fright which is absolutely godly on nurse. This perk allows you to generate tons of pressure by slugging which the nurse is great at. Then there's whispers which is probably the best killer perk imo. I know another guy said they wouldn't recommend it on Nurse but honestly it just provides so much value and let's you get the most use out of your time. It let's you know where you should and shouldn't be and makes it nearly impossible for the last survivor to escape during endgame. Lastly i use Stridor which is definitely questionable but i just like it because it helps me keep track of survivors during fatigue and makes it alot easier to find survivors who may be hiding around me AND it soft counters iron will; a meta survivor perk. Stridor also stacks with the metal spoon addon which practically let's you hear an injured survivor from across the map so that's nice too.

So much knowledge here. idk where to begin. I used infectious fright but can't really see the screams. maybe I need to turn immediately after cool down. I have use some bad ear phones before but it is substantially better than the tv. I will have to get a better pair for sure.

  • @Venzhas said:

All right dude. This post clearly isn't for you. Have a good one.

Kudos to you. I find Nurse's skill cap to be remarkable once they added the CD, stick with it and destroy them survivors. You'll get there bro.

Flicks should be easier on console with the sensitivity changes!

Thanks bro. I'm trying my best. It's a long road. She is hard to get use too. What is CD?

  • Yes I'm on console. It's in the man title and all in this forum. LOL

  • @InsaneNurseMain said:

    Coming from another console nurse,

I don't really recommend whispers on her as its range is too large to be of use. I'd say the best build for her is monitor, nurses calling, bbq and pop

If you dont have her blinks down yet you should use her flannel addon to help you.

Ignore the toxic survivors. Luckily most console players seem to respect nurse players.

Thanks for your information and time on my post. I have recieved a lot of value from BBQ, nurses and surge. I'm all ears helped me some but the cool down is to long.

I will have to try your recommendations as well. I struggle dearly with map pressure. The flannel add on helped tremendously on my first couple of days but I ditched it. I didn't want to get to reliant on it.

Not on console with controller restrictions and console performance lol

I gave my proof and plenty other Nurse runners here agree. Where is your proof?

  • @Lx_malice said:

Hell yea dude. As a console Nurse main myself I absolutely love seeing your determination to learn her. I'd be happy to give you a few tips. First of all you'll want to get used to playing her on a fairly high sensitivity. 60 seems to work perfect for me personally ever since the controller sensitivity update. Second make sure to look slightly up when blinking to maximize the distance you travel but not too high as it is unnecessary. Thirdly competent survivors won't just run in straight lines and try to play little mind games on you to mess you up. The most common of these is running at you while your blinking to them. Try to anticipate this and shorten your blink a bit to get an easy hit. Another thing i see alot of people do is try to break LOS from you to trick you into blinking to cut them off when in reality they're just going to double back so when they do this don't try to cut them and instead blink to wherever they broke line of sight and they'll usually run right into you and bam easy hit. If my ps4 wasn't broke I'd glady hop into a kyf to teach you everything i know but for now im stuck on xbox only.

Thanks dude. I really appreciate your time and feedback. LOS is an issue for me. I'm all ears really works for me to blink on them but the cool down is crazy long. I will try your suggestions for sure.
