  • This game could be so much better if they just go through everything players hate like keys and iri head and just ask one of the community figures for ideas on how to change them.

  • Most people will spread out once a Legion is spotted, meaning this just makes it so he doesn't get anything other than an injured survivor from his power, which on paper sounds good, but in practice doesn't mean anything. Unless you allow Legion to only down with two FF hits then this is basically just a straight nerf.

  • Jesus Christ i've never seen someone so entitled. You sound like you have only ever played survivor and played killer once when you were new found it easy to kill people who didn't know how to play, then thought killer was too easy for a hardcore gamer such as yourself? You want empathy, think about what the killer was thinking while you were being "tunneled." If I am walking away from the hook and here you being rescued, only to come back and see only you running away, im going after you. If you run into me three times and die first? Was I tunneling? No, I was just playing killer. Why should I let you have a full 60 seconds or more. That's almost an entire gen. Likewise, why should I be punished for picking up a survivor, who has had more than enough time to heal up and run away already? As a survivor, I know when It was fair for me to be downed again. As a killer, I know when I deserve to be ds'd. You on the other hand think it wasnt fair unless 3 gens got done and all 3 survivors have been hooked again. Id give a killer example, but im certain you don't play much killer. If you are unhooked immediately and get downed again, it's your teams fault, if you fail to hide and get caught 3 times in 60 seconds, it's your fault.

TL:DR You don't know what you're talking about. Not like you will admit it, a hardcore gamer like yourself is never wrong about a game they've played for 30 hours

Seriously. I just had a match where the survivors send me to Ormond, and were a swf group (Can confirm cause I messaged them) of 3. Then had 3 gens pop in less than 2 minutes cause they were all on one by themselves. I had a relatively fast down, but how am I supposed to put pressure on three gens while I'm in the middle of a chase, or better yet, even if I got to one of them after my first chase, how do I put pressure on two of them while chasing the second? They said I tunneled, and to be fair I did. But there was no other way I was gonna get a kill. I said, what you're doing is a little rude, then they said they were all laughing at me and to chill it's just a game. And I was a little tilted, but what could I have done? I was able to get the last two on their last hook, but of course they have borrowed, decisive, and were body blocking. I'm not sayoing every game is like this. But if they have the potential to do this, it just doesn't seem very fair.

This is what I've never understood about pressure, is there an actual consistent way to apply it or are you just out of luck if you don't bring very specific perks or play certain killers. I have 700 hours in this game, 600+ definitely on killer and around 500 hours I just had this crisis where I realised there is no conceivable way for me to apply enough pressure for the survivors to not do 2 gens by first down if they aren't braindead

  • It takes a while to unhook survivors who are in the basement, also you may think 3 lockers to hide in is a bad thing for you, but if a survivor goes to hide in one to get away from you, just listen near the locker, you can hear them. Certain killers can make it impossible to save without a down, for example, the character in your profile pic, Trapper, can put a trap next to him while standing at the top of the staircase, and one person has to go down unless they heal or have dh.

You just have to play better. Survivors only respect you if you give them a reason to fear you. Remember the baseline is reset each game. When you come out of the gates swinging, people notice. If you are slacking, you will be disrespected. It's just like anything in life.

I noticed your avatar is the trapper, you should try other more potent killers. I am given little respect on M1 killers until I prove I am a threat. Using some of the stronger killers in the game, I am shown a great amount of respect even when I play poorly.

This is sadly true, I have spent the majority(90+%) of my hours in dbd playing Legion, Even playing well, the survivors generally don't care if im anywhere near them. I swapped to nurse to give her another shot and realised survivors are much more scared of her, even when I was playing terribly.

  • This is a pretty great idea, but one thing, the awarding add-ons thing sounds good in theory, but a lot of killers have useless add-ons, and for the survivors, broken key and every map(only slightly joking). Im trying to figure what else they could award besides bp but I can't

survivors can mindgame too, for example, the most common mindgame is making the killer believe you're going to vault a window when you know he's going to pass around the wall, making them waste timeand gain some distance

Im aware, I said they don't need to. A survivor can waste enough time without it, but if they mindgame correctly the killer isn't winning. Im also sure 90% of killer mindgames can be cancelled by running away from the tile to another.

This is why I sometimes get annoyed when people continuously disparage BHVR-clearly the game has been evolving and getting better as time goes on. That's not to say devs don't have problems that there are legit concerns around, but overall its clear the game has been getting better and that's the main thing. Thankfully I wasn't around for those days but I've seen plenty vids and it seems....interesting lol

A lot of people like to bully the devs for the state of the game, but it's not as bad as the community makes it out to be. They have done a pretty good job so far.

  • Ebonies should require every survivor to have been hooked once, keys should require a interaction that requires time and be one person use. Ivory should require the person to be on death hook.

  • @Angelicus23 said:

stealth is boring and looping can be fun for both sides since you can make mindgames on both sides

Looping is fun sometimes, they really need to shorten loops and spread tiles apart to make it fairer for a killer. Also survivors don't need to mindgame, only killers. Survivors can waste enough time if they loop without mindgames, while killers will lose if they don't.

  • Im very confused. Does the person vote for themself, if so a player who needs to quit for maybe an hour needs their team to agree for them to leave, and that team may say no, costing them to have to wait a day to play the game. You also said that it doesn't work in teams, which means voting just doesn't work, and if you need to leave while in a swf or with one while in solo its a 12 hour ban for you. The dc penalty is fine, it punishes players who dc due to toxicity, and doesn't punish those who leave due to irl things. A lot of the people who complain either shouldn't play if their internet or pc is that bad, or dc a lot more than they admit.

I know this is an unpopular opinion, considering how much people despise legion. But he is honestly one of my favorites, and is easily top 10 best killers in the game.

Here are some things he can do that make him so good.

He can Injure everyone within the first 30 seconds of the match. He can keep everyone injured during the entire trial, which can be dirty with certain perks. He can detect everyone in his Terror Radius when in his power. He can stall the game the best out of all killers. He moves at 4.6 m/s. Can get around the map decently quick. And keeps survivors healing the entire game, which makes Gen rushing extremely difficult if the right player is playing Legion. And sense everyone is always injure, he just has to hit you once. So if you are pretty much insta down for the entire trial.

Do you think he is weak and why?

1.Being injured sucks but really isn't a big deal.

2.If the survivors bring fast healing or swf your power is even worse

3.Detecting everyone in terror radius doesn't mean much against good survivors who know to spread out against Legion, they also have such a short base power duration you likely won't catch people more than 16 meters away who have a brain, or anyone with sprint burst or lithe depending on map.

I do think they are really underestimated but their is a reason for it, they are very bad with little to help in chase besides going against injured survivors, and it might just be a personal thing but I also have always felt like a Legion Feral Frenzying was more or a 360/dodging minigame than an actual threat.

  • Because to an extent it is. The base power time is way too short, meaning you might only get 1 injure with a power who's upside is injuring all survivors quickly. Also, most survivors won't care about being injured at all, they can still waste your time immensely with the right perks or tiles, even if injured, and deep wounds is pretty terrible and wastes almost none of the survivors time. But don't underestimate Legion, they are definitely pretty bad and like a lot of killers can be set up to lose by certain maps/perks/swf, but he will dominate if the survivors believe he is a free win.

Hmm I always use head on to complete these kind of challenges. At least 1 per match is guaranteed, granted that I can hide from the killer once. But this last time I got the 4 stuns in just 2 matches. The flashlight ones, however, I always skip.

I agree that those challenges are way too situational

Flashlight saves or just blinds, all you have to do is blind at pallet, then reblind a second later, then keep doing that, I got like 8 for a challenge in one game off of that.

  • Camp the pallets with a stypic or insta syringe, I have used this strategy every single stun challenge and I always get it in one or two games.

  • @BigTimeGamer said:

the day they add in that nerf officially is the day i eat my fuggin shoe

they also think things like iri head aren't too OP as they arent too common, so take that for what you will

Correct me if im wrong but I believe every killer has only 3 ultra rares to be in their bloodweb, which makes it even worse as they aren't even rare and you will get a ebony or iri head/other broken addon in like 3 or 4 bloodwebs if you're unlucky. My p3 Legion gets an ebony almost every bloodweb.

Yup this, don't wanna get reported for working with killer.

If they really wanted to let us escape then maybe they'd 'lose' us in a case first.

Get to know each other let them pay for the meal, you know?

Now what I can't stand are people who come looking for you when the gate is open.

1 guy even assumed I wasn't having fun

(I had insidious on so he was REALLY looking)

I personally leave because why risk

    blood warden.

(Leave as in survivor side, gate open)

I don't think this counts as working with the killer.

As an anti-tunnel perk, nobody cares and in fact thinks it is good and should retain that power. The problem is that the survivor gets to go do a gen for 60 seconds near a locker and be completely invulnerable. I have 2 options. I either let that survivor do that gen for 60 seconds, and all likelyhood complete the gen, or i camp the locker. While i camp the locker, the other 3 survivors do gens.

This means the optimal play for the killer is to let the survivor do the gen. Now, blow that up to, all 4 survivors having this perk. And lets be fair and say they get 45 seconds of immunity because they have to run to a gen.

    45 * 4 = 180 seconds.

180 seconds is enough time to fully complete 2.25 generators.

Now add in that killers typically lose the first gen or 2 because there is no pressure at the start of the match and too many gens to patrol. And you realize that survivors being able to complete 1/3 of their objective simply due to 1 perk is not balanced. The problem with DS is not its anti-tunnel properties, those are good. The problem is that it allows survivors to use it offensively to dive a hook unsafely with BT, or to power through a gen they have no business doing.

If you have time to start repairing a gen, cleansing a totem, or heal/get healed by another survivor, you aren't being tunneled.

Realistically here is how DS should be:

Using whatever is at hand, you stab at your aggressor in an ultimate attempt to escape.

After being unhooked or unhooking yourself, Decisive Strike will become active and usable for 20/25/30 seconds.

If you repair a generator, cleanse a totem, heal another survivor, or are healed by another survivor for 1 health state, the perk deactivates. During a chase, the countdown timer stops and the perk remains active. This can be used multiple times in a match.

While Decisive Strike is active, when grabbed by the Killer, succeed a Skill Check

to automatically escape the Killer's grasp and stun them for 5 seconds.

    • Succeeding or failing the Skill Check will disable Decisive Strike.
    • Successfully stunning the Killer will result in you becoming the Obsession.

Increases the odds of being the Obsession.

The Killer can only be obsessed with one Survivor at a time.

Optimal play is too grab out of locker. If you do that, they may miss, or if not, you can just chase and down or leave after and go pressure other gens, they should've already run a decent distance.

  • Rework, although id like them to keep FF, I can see why they wouldn't, historically Legion has either been too weak, or broken. A Buff either wouldn't do much or make him unfair to go against.

  • It isn't supposed to be auto aim, and its not really, the devs have said that it shouldn't cause you to get a hit you would've otherwise missed, they also said that one of the issues is they check for collision during it causing people to hit things other than the survivors, I understand your pain though, many times i've swung at a survivor right behind them and missed due to it, or hit a bush or tire stack.

I personally loved the game back in the day.It was both fun and challenging, I like the dailys and the new tome challenges.I enjoyed playing both SurvivorsAura'sAreRevealedtoAllSurvivors and killer.I especially love and miss horribly the old Chase's I used to have as both. The only thing I have a real prejudice greaviance against in the game is the endgame BS.As both players I strongly feel like it kills the idea, heart and soul of the thrill of the play.As killer if I came across someone who could easily loop me, Ring round rosey me,or etc. It made me want them that much more. If they survived it was all good as long as I was given an awesome chase, Good job u deserve it,gg.*As I wrote you gamertag in my notebook*Better believe next time I see you the hunt is on! But with the endgame, I feel like it cheapens the the actions of all players,Robs both sides of a great game, adds to much undo and unnecessary pressure and stress on the players, preemptively causing every match to being a total let down..a KILLJOY.Alot of players I used to play with have quit and banned further play of DbD until endgame is gone.. I've said it to the devs on every survey ive done,I still play both sides..once in awhile. I just don't have that"OVERWHELMING EXCITED WITH ANTICIPATION" to jump in and give it my all cause either I'm gonna die from endgame killing me or I let the killer get me at the door. As a killer I end up letting the last one or two go, it's better than letting the entity steal my chances or feeling like the Survivors just said"screw it I'm gonna die either way" Where's the fun or fulfilled challenge in that?

You mean endgame collapse? Im not exactly sure what you mean by endgame.

hit ranges were meant to be accurate when it was player hosted servers, dedicated servers takes killer ping into account which makes them look and feel disjointed,

wiggling is meant for the killer not to be able to basement hook a survivor from any down anywhere on the map

they probably spammed struggle too fast you only have to press it like once a second not mash like your life depends on it

killer challenges usually give more bp so just do them

you joined this site today and are most likely low rank for both killer and survivor, play a few matches then the game will feel more engaging as you rank up and people become slightly more competent

Just to add onto this, of course killer will be easy in low ranks, bad survivors will always lose to killers. However once you get to higher ranks with both sides you'll realise killer isn't easy. Especially against a swf with meta perks, where certain killers can't even begin to compete well.

  • A lot of the community is divided between people who swear killers are op, and those who think survivor is op. Don't listen to any of these people as they're usually super biased, wrong, and refuse to find anything wrong with their sides perks, while getting mad if you even run perks on the other side.

  • Don't try too hard to finish the challenges, this game naturally starts to feel like a chore if you try too hard in it for long enough.

  • @DocFabron said:

I like when survivors "hook tech" (oooo that terminology sends shivers down my spine). 2 people off gens makes me smile. :)

  • @DarkPit said:

Its the most annoying, nooby ans boring playstyle where even braindead people can get a secure kill and ruin the entire mood of others.

I just wanted to play fairly, so i took off my Meta Perks to enjoy other playstyles and fun moments. OF COURSE the one game i wanted to use Balanced Landing i get Shelter Woods (boring aswell) and OF COURSE none of my teammates had DS so there was no Obsession. After a 3 Gen Chase because there doesnt exist anything on this map the Leatherface hooked and instant insidious facecamped me. I even had Kindred which showed him standing in the corner, but teammates are always trying to save instead of doing gens and gtfo. And because he was bad and ran into something with his chainsaw someone with BT saved me after i got second stage.

GUESS WHAT? He just tunneled me hardcore and ignored others.

Why does Insidious exist? What strategic advantage does it give you? Why can even the worst player secure a kill with the worst killer ingame? Who thought it would be a good idea? Please anybody explain it to me...

Just because a playstyle is boring for you to play as or against, doesn't mean someone shouldn't use it. Also yeah, insidous should be reworked because it's only good for 1 kill if the survivors are competent

  • Noed is the biggest second chance perk of all as its meant to allow you to easily down survivors when you fail to prevent the exit gates from being powered.

Blood warden blocks the gates allowing you a second chance to get survivors.

  • @Colton147 said:

Killers have much more second chance perks than survivors; games are more killer-sided than survivors.

No One Escapes Death, Blood Warden, Remember Me, Fire Up, Make Your Choice, Barbecue & Chili, Rancor, Nemesis, and Whispers.

BBQ and whispers are tracking perks.

Make your choice isn't a second chance perk but i don't know what to call it.

I could be wrong but i believe nemesis just makes the person who dropped a pallet on you obsession and removes your heart beat for them. Saying it is a second chance is implying you failed if you get a pallet dropped on you.

Fire up isn't really a second chance perk as your bound to lose gens if the survivors are competent.

  • @NoRestarts said:

People don't enjoy playing against him, so why would they waste time in a match they know they won't enjoy?

And don't killers get BP from disconnects?

Seems like a great way to farm BP to me.

    Isn't it a win/win?

Survivors don't have to play against a killer they don't enjoy and the killer gets easy BP. I don't see the problem.

It screws over your teammates most likely ending up in them losing and ruining their fun. Killers get more bp for downing you and hooking you 3 times than you dcing on your first down or immediately. Dcing is also against the rules.

Basically you not having fun doesn't justify ruining everyone elses.

  • Noed should only insta down people who are on death hook that way you at least had to somewhat work for the kill. I can't think of anything for ds.

You just say that because you main an OP killer. Maybe if youd play a weaker killer than Bubba, the most meta killer in the game... See how well you do with a F tier killer like Spirit.

    Spirit isn't f tier
