They're already addressing keys but obviously aren't going to announce to us when they're dropping the change, because you know exactly what will happen...there'll be keys in every damn lobby.
There's already a ton of keys in every lobby because survivor mains know that the key change is happening soon.

Doesn´t matter much I anymore. Most matches someone last second switches to a key anyways, so if and when key changes come in patch 9.5 there won´t be any more keys left to worry about anyway.
Hence the reason for this thread. Again, not difficult to understand. The devs should be communicating what they intend to do with keys and when the change is happening. That's all the community is asking. This is a very simple request especially considering the last possible second mori nerf they snuck in.

So wait, what the hell is the worth of a key then if not to open the hatch? No one takes the green key because it's worthless as hell.
Both hatch keys have a timer and Endgame Collapse begins once it opens.
I play plenty of killer and I've never had a problem with keys. Seems like most people just don't like that the hatch exists and are salty over that.
My favorite argument? Keys end the game faster! Uh, yeah, what about moris?
If anything the nerf to moris was necessary to balance out the game. At best the only thing they'll do to key's is lower the length of time the hatch stays open.
Of course one of these guys appear, trying to change the narrative. So, you think it's 100% fine that a guy does a last second key switch in the lobby or a survivor lucks out and finds a key and instantly escapes?
That is the problem. Keys open the hatch instantly and can let everyone get away and it's almost impossible to counter them. You can use Franklin's but survivors can just drop the item in a spot so other's can pick it up (and they will do that if they're SWF) or better yet they can just DC so the item will stay instead of you sacrificing them and it disappears (not unless they use an add-on so it stays).
This is very easy to understand but survivor mains refuse to listen just like the devs.

so you won’t acknowledge the fact that the bug you insisted on being there in every match for LF was not there and latch on the next bug (that you hopefully reported or checked if it was reported)?
your anti-dev bias is showing.
Never said that,. The Leatherface bug is still a thing.
-
And how about acknowledging the bug with Soul Guard that the player still gets to use it even when the killer has no Hex perks or the Hex has been cleansed?
The survivor bias is obvious at this point.
-
And I'm telling you that you're not doing your job correctly if you're noticing these problems. All you need to do is play Leatherface ONCE and you see that the speed is reduced.
One match. This isn't hard to figure out.
-
Waiting for any kind of acknowledgment from a dev or community manager. I like how this person just talked about the Legion bug and hand waived the rest of the legitimate issues I highlighted.
Terrible service.

@Mandy said:
The problem with speed bugs that people keep talking about is perception - I've not yet seen evidence of a speed bug yet, despite numerous posts nobody is able to provide proof and we've tested Legion in particular and found that the speed is correct but that his FOV was bugged, which gives the perception of moving slower. I even tested myself to try to replicate the issue but have had no luck.
So it's not about ignoring bugs but if we're unable to replicate them and we don't even have proof of said bug, then it's not the easiest thing to find out what's wrong.
I can see that you don't test very well. I played one match with Leatherface and immediately noticed a speed issue. And for the record, I was using Purple Chili and that makes you move fast as @#$&. So when I'm at a very basic loop and having played several hundred matches with re-worked Leatherface using Purple Chili (I horded them before the rework) and there is obviously something wrong with movement speed when you first use the saw.
I determined this in one match.
So, it's either you don't know how to test or this is a shadow nerf the dev team snuck in.
-
Is there a dev or community manager who will acknowledge the bugs?
Leatherface's movement is massively slowed down when you first use his saw.
Legion's frenzy is bugged and he moves at 115% movement speed during frenzy.
And Billy's saw randomly overheats.
I know this has been reported, I know this has been told to the devs but the usual white knights appear and try shut down anyone who brings up actual problems with the game.
-
Everyone knows, it's been reported everywhere. If the devs somehow don't know about the bugs then they're not paying attention to the community and clearly not testing updates before launching them.
-
Another thread buried because survivor mains are never silenced, give each other ass-pats, and anyone who goes against the narrative is told to be quiet and the devs will ignore them.
It is an absolute travesty that all other attempts at an asymmetric horror game have failed because Behaviour needs a fire lit under their ass.

Being in a locker isn’t invincibility. You aren’t doing anything productive just hiding in the locker.
Also, assuming you didn’t just hard tunnel that person off the hook you probably only have to wait less than 15s for their DS to deactivate.
And sir, the instant you walk away from the locker what happens? The survivor gets away and will work on a gen and do whatever. This isn't difficult to understand.
I am genuinely curious, what is it like living in some alternate universe where up is down and left is right? Because that's where survivor mains live. Logic doesn't exist in your world and contradictions are rampant.

It’s not 60s of immortality. The survivor can still be slugged and even killed via Mori.
And then they jump into a locker. And if there's a mori they just ragequit at the load screen.
-
They ragequit all the time. And make sure to stick around in the post-game chat to tell you how bad you are.
How incompetent do you have to be that script kiddie can exploit your system like this? What are they doing with their 500+ employees and 120+ million they made last year that they can't fix such a simple exploit?
You can apply that question to everything else the devs are incompetent at as well.
-
He's fine honestly. Once you play him enough you develop a sense of spacing to avoid colliding into objects. It can still occasionally happen but no one is perfect. I love how he plays now. I just wish they'd address gen speed and SWF players.

They can go play another game for all I care. Nobody wants or needs them here as they represent the toxicity that's eating away at the foundation of our game
Don't ask questions. Just consume product and get excited for next product!
COOONSSSSSSSOOOOOOOOMMMMMM

It'll never happen.
1: they'd have to pay the rights holders for TCM to use that house.
2: if they use anything that resembles the Scream movies they risk getting sued. And who wants to see a supermarket or hardware store for Ghostface? How does that have ANYTHING to do with the character?
3: they release new maps to tie with new killers. It's been like that since forever. It's not going to change.

Just imagine the game finds you a match based on you selecting Nurse (if you aren't that good with her) & you decide to swap to Freddy to ruin the day of a bunch of noobs. What's a survivor gonna do? Switch from Meg to Bill last second. Doesn't change how they play survivor, but it sure is one epic prank.
Do you not recognize survivors can use specific perks/offerings/items to counter specific killers as I mentioned 3 times now?
How is it like to ignore reality?
-
@APoipleTurtle said:
Because every survivor is basically just a re-skin of the same character. Aside from some minor visual and aural differences (and default personal perks), Dwight is the same as Zara.
I don't necessarily think survivors need to be immediately locked in, because they might feel the need to change to a different survivor if their teammates are running low-leveled characters (since all survivors will presumably work off of one mmr rank, not the multiple ones used by killers). However, I do think it would be fine to lock in the survivors' characters 15-20 seconds after a full lobby had been gathered. Gives them just enough time to see their peers and evaluate if their current character is fine, but also shuts down the infamous "6-Second Swap".
You don't seem to get it and have completely ignored my points:
Survivors can quick-switch at the last possible second to counter what you have. A flashlight squad VS Hag isn't fun. With the new Matchmaking System, killers cannot dodge or are free to quick-switch to someone else who can deal with it.
Also, completely ignoring my point that survivor players (especially at red ranks) like to use a program that shows them what killer and player they are facing. You don't think this is unfair at all?
Why is it okay that survivors can quick-switch and use a 3rd party program with impunity but killers are now punished? Do you not recognize the hypocrisy?
-
The whole argument of dumbing it down for Survivors is flawed because the game has a problem with retention. If you just look at the achievement "Getting the Hang of it."
According to the Global Achievement list on Steam, only 43.5% of players ranked up once. I.E. got to level 19. What in god's balls is going on with your game if only just under half of your base was able to do one of the simplest of tasks?
The vast majority of survivors don't even have access to the numerous 2nd chance perks and all the devs are doing by buffing that crap and adding more crap is giving the minority of red rank survivors even more tools to win and troll the killer. That's all they're achieving.
It's time to wake up, Behaviour.
