Then your only chance is to stay there and defend them without commiting to a chase really. Without the mistake of a survivor you won't win that (if your wincondition is 4 kills) really. If you want to take your chance you can also follow him crossmap, down him and tunnel back with xeno to stop the door from being opened - that is of course also depending on survivor mistakes.

(That's what I would tell you)

Besides that, I've never hit the limit at a 3-gen gen ever. In general just really rarely at all - I'm impressed by that :D

Yeah they had a ton of pallets to make chase impossible, and they hard committed to the one. It took them forever, but there wasn't much I could do. I didn't even KNOW you had a limit until this game. It was especially soul crushing because I had to chase several of them away to before every hook, and the last two knew there was enough pallets to kill any chase quick enough to get that gen. I think they were a swf 😩

you are not supposed to win every single game and it does Sound like the survs did actually have to put in effort to win this despite being 2 down and it wasnt the game that was giving them an out just because?

Like.. 1 gen to go and access to limited resources (pallets), and they had to not be downed quickly right next to the gen? Am i missing something that says you should have won this?

I'm not saying I should've won by default. But do you genuinely believe that tap repairing a gen and running 5 feet to the nearest pallet on rotation is effort? Pallets aren't a limited resource if a killer can spend the entire match breaking them, just for them to never run out. Finite =/= limited. I just want to know how to deal with a situation where its a stalemate, and the survivors are edging out a win purely off of pity mechanics.

Did you have a 3-gen at the end or did you have 2 next to each other and another crossmap?

I had 3 gens all in the same area.

Well, no. The names we see could be the actual survivor’s name, i.e Claudette Morel 1 or David King 2

Not really useful when your HUD is cluttered with the same four icons and the same four names, and you have to take the extra time to scan the very last character to see which actual player you're chasing. It doesn't sound like much but having to decipher that 100 times in a match to keep track is tedious and eye straining.

  • I don't see this really changing ever because sometimes usernames are the only way to track which survivors you've hooked or not. The game does a horrible job of distinguishing survivors who all go the same character with the same outfit. Also it's so much worse to find killer profiles because you could potentially use achievements to see who they use the most.

  • I played her a couple times today to learn and gave up because I got tired of decent players pulling dumb stuff when I didn't play at god level. Can't imagine many people power through the toxicity to get good at her when its not fun.

I'm not blaming anyone, I'm stating a fact. If you felt blamed, i guess guilt, it's a you problem.

there aren't other "3 people that can help you" in solo q.

Sick fast vault away from that convo B)

Never been toxic in over thousands of hours and still get facecamped and tunneled. So saying killers only camp/tunnel because someone else was toxic is not very accurate. It just gives them easier kills so they do it.

Just because you vouch for your own good will doesn't mean there isn't a lot of players that are toxic. You're also blaming someone for taking the easy road for securing objectives in a 1v4 game. Just because it feels unfair that you personally can't compete with the killer on objectives doesn't mean there isn't 3 other people there that can help you.

Not sure why you replied that to me, my stance is more of "grow thicker skin" I didnt say anything about any other game being toxic, I personally have had death threats, death wished upon me, slurs, and more. This week in fact. I ignore it, thats the difference, because, its just text on a screen. Have been online gaming since late 90s, toxic is not new I am just used to it.

PS its not "we" who tolerate anything. The devs created soft bbans, and people who used to be banned are timed out for 1-3 days or something. Then they come right back and do it again. The reporting function is also terribad.

PLayers are the ones forced to tolerate it because devs dont ban these people from the game, they get soft bans. Soft bans were created after Asylum exploit, we got them banned for exploiting but devs didnt want to ban so many players including some popular streamers who were showing the exploit on twitch, theywere unbanned by the weekend... now we stuck with soft ban timeouts.

The devs can be amazing or terrible about banning toxic players, but that alone isn't going to improve the community. The community has to put in effort too as a whole, or else people just make alt accounts. It especially doesn't help when someone brings it up and your response is "yawn". Not sure what your goal is but try to get a gold medal for your experience, like?

  • As someones who's played more survivor than killer - tunneling and camping will stop when toxic survivors stop teaching baby killers that they only way to secure objectives is by tunneling/camping. I've had games where I was forced to face camp the entire time bc they either weren't patient or didn't respect me at all. I don't think I'm a good killer and I'm baffled by the 3 qnd 4ks I've gotten because they were body blocking/unhooking in front of me

    yawn

DBD is so vanilla in regards to toxicity. I dont even notice it.

"Oh no someone hit ctrl or nodded at me, sooo toxic!"

Just because xyz video game is worse doesn't mean it should be tolerated. We're just gonna put up with it til people are slinging death threats and slurs, or worse? Like?? I don't get this mentality

  • @KurnDisciple said:

Gen rushing is a made up term. If the killer is downing people in a reasonable timeframe and has a gen perk or two they are always going to have the potential for at least 2 kills. If you have 3+ slowdown perks then it's just them playing poorly. Killers who rage they can't 3-4k every game are just entitled imo.

It's only made up if you can actually get BP from finishing every gen before the killer has a chance to down anyone.... which spoilers, means the killer gets nothing out of the game. If you're survivor, I guess its some fast n quick BP assuming you're not having long queue times

  • The only survivors who get this worked up about tunneling/camping don't play killer enough. The ENTIRE time I've tried learning killer, I've been forced into doing either or both. If the survivors gen rush the game, tunneling is the only way to get ANYTHING out of the game. And I haven't had many games as killer where survivors weren't trying to run and unhook before I even have the chance to exit the hooking animation. I've had several games where all 3 other survivors are crouch walking towards me after I got my first hook, just out in the open. I tend to walk across the map from the hook to patrol gens, given I don't see 1-3 people barely attempting to hide so they can unhook. Tunneling/camping is just securing objectives and punishing the majority of players who don't have the patience to allow the killer to do other things. That's not to mention to rancid toxicity you have to deal with as killer. You're just gonna have to deal
