  • Primarily due to him having a 40m terror radius, its kinda like a ranged killers lullaby. So I see him as a hybrid of sorts, but I would understand why people wouldn't consider him ranged.

  • Having an effect that slows someone down or delays them outside of your presence is literally map pressure, which is what my change would add.

Secondly, in what world is slinger better than Huntress? He has a MUCH shorter range, has to reload more often, smaller projectile hitbox (harder to aim), weaker addons, can only hit very slowly and the worst part of it all, even if you spear a survivor it doesn't guarantee a hit due to the chain breaking like melted butter.

So I'm still curious how you think Deathslinger is in a better state than Huntress strength wise?

I love the ideas. I don’t even think the lullaby is necessary though. Definitely needs an addon pass too. I’d personally make his guns hit box a little more forgiving and maybe increase the range a tad.

Yeah but currently he's a ranged killer and has been treated worse than the other 2 (3 if you count Wesker). So just bringing him in line with the others would do him some justice at least. M&A Deathslinger was pretty rough tho.

I wish the chain strength would scale with range, otherwise the range increase would be pointless.

I think these are good suggestions, overall.

Also ngl I kinda want that banjo lullaby.

I think it would add a lot of soul to the character

Don't forget that his Reeling Speed addons don't even work at all =D

they've been broken after the changes and bhvr hasn't even bothered to fix them nor acouple other addons..

Bhvr still likes huntress more than slinger tbh..

Unfortunately he's among the list of forgotten killers (Nemesis, Hag, Michael, Twins, Pyramid Head, etc)

Really wish they'd stop looking a kill rates for which killer to change. Although they must not do that cause Blight hasn't received a nerf pretty much since ever.

Currently maining him but I think slinger is overrated. Most content creators put him in the high b tier but i just don't see it myself. Got tons of counterplay and engaging interactions (super fun in my opinion to verse but frustrating to play as at times)

My main problem with playing slinger is you can hit a shot and get nothing from it.

●Survivor pre drop a pallet u hit them! and u can't pull them around most of the loops before the chain breaks. (without the prison chain add on)

    ● U narrowly hit a survivor from a far position vaulting a window and the chain start breaking fast.

    ● U reeling a survivor in and they get stuck on a few Tires, a single tree, small rock, and sometimes rarely thin air.

●Lastly, my favorite one! You hit a survivor and another survivor stands in front of the chain. Break before you hit either.

Making the chain stronger would kill the survivors counter play but hitting a shot on an injured survivor to get nothing feels bad.

This is all valid criticism. I would have suggested making the chain stronger, but like you said that would kill counterplay. Perhaps just making it break slower behind walls? Or depending on the material or loop?

Also I would just say fix loop/ structure hitboxes but that fix pertains to all killers so

these are not QOL changes these are balance changes

QOL change would be like removing the stupid sensitivity modifier when you ads

Such a small detail to leave a comment for lmao, but thanks for the correction ig

Also, give him an iri add on that changed the chained spear into an actual bullet that can hit from across the map, but make it take 3-4 times longer to reload. It would encourage a sniping playstyle while also rewarding accuracy

I've thought about very similar addons, not quite across the map but one that would just instantly guarantee the hit/down. But a sniper Deathslinger would be awesome. My second iri addon idea would be to have two shots in the chamber but an also increased reload speed

I like the lodged spears idea, instead of shooting back and reeling in, it would be a complete, actual harpoon gun. It would be weird to completely rework his power like that though after so long, you'd have to redo a bunch of add-ons. Or you could make that his second power, like have him detach the reeling ability from his gun to just have them shoot out. (I know this isn't how harpoon guns work but this is also a game where a woman shoots ink birds out of her hands...)

And you can't judge a man on his man pattern baldness! 😤

Oh I meant the lodged spear from his chain gun. The chain always snaps and the spear/hook/projectile just always disappears. My change just lets the chain break upon a successful hit but the projectile stays. (although I do realize the spear always comes back to the gun, so they'd have to make a new animation for a new one spawning in)

    and yes I can 😈

99% of survivors claim to love going against the Hillbilly

Then those same survivors bully the absolute ######### out of any Hillbilly

gonna have to ask for sources on these statements.

Watch any tierlist video on youtube. Kinda have to be living under a rock not to know people like to play against Hillbilly.

Little gave my own first person experience of survivors stomping Hillbillies I play against?

I play billy every session I play since I started. You can still do damage, it's just a lot harder to do. The word "bullying" is simply overused. This community is just really good at taking offense to just about anything.

It's a snowflakes way of trying to get special treatment. The all too common victim mentality.

You worded this very smartly, makes sense

I don't really mind hatch offerings, I can always get to it faster on killer and usually will just camp gate on survivor if I'm too far from shack/MB. But I agree on it being annoying bloodweb filler. I'd be fine if they got rid of blueprints, shrouds and the single category yellow/brown BP offerings tbh. Maybe replace them with XP boosting offerings, that would be cool.

I think the XP boost offerings is an underrated idea, would definitely help players grind free cosmetics/ not licensed dlc

  • @Grandpa_Crack_Pipe said:

I mean, if you remember that the offering's been in play, the killer knowing exactly where the hatch will be is probably better than the survivor knowing. You've got a LOT of time after that death hook to make it to the hatch.

Granted, I never do because 95% of my brain is already taken up by Soulsborne trivia, but still.

I imagine it's only a major problem if the guy who brought the offering also brought a key. Luck WILL probably be involved to make him the one who makes it to the end, though.

Yeah, my brain kinda just goes on autopilot as killer so I generally forget, but you are right in that it usually benefits the killer more. I still think its worth removal just for the health of our bloodwebs.
