It was something we announced at the same time as the Rift/Tomes came out initially.

We always said that some of these items would come to the Store at a later date, but at least 6 months after they were available in the Rift.

Ik that’s what I’ve heard, but do you know where? Because it completely missed me

  • @Mandy said:

Even so, you get your auric cells back from completing the rift - so you effectively get everything for free.

I would be cool with that If it didn’t coincide with this guys point.

    @Moxie said:

Although I do understand your point that paid passes should reward you with exclusives, this is BHVR's direct response to a post awhile back regarding just how much you would have to play in order to unlock everything in the rift.

I believe someone worked it out that you would have to play a minimum of 6 hours IN GAME time (not including loading screens, queue times or result screens). That is an absurd amount to have to play to get a cosmetic.

    A mixed bag for sure.

EDIT: 6 hours of game per day.

I’ve never completed a rift fully, just don’t have the time. I doubt many people do without extra money put in to boost their tier. But then you don’t make the cell back anyway

They were also on the Free Track of the Rift so you didn't have to pay for a pass, so you had them exclusively for quite a long time and probably with less grind than it takes to get 21k shards for each outfit.

Pretty sure both trapper and wraith skins were in the paid section. I’m sure at least one of them was anyway.

  • @Ohnoes said:

It was said from the beginning they would go to the store eventually... Bringing up they are available for shards is stupid considering how long it takes to grind out shards. If they wanted to get something with shards they could've got a outfit that didn't come in a rift and therefore is going to probably be one that's less common.

My post has been edited so it doesn’t make much sense. That’s not what I meant bringing up the shards for clown and feng

  • @TheKnowlesFam said:

I'm honestly excited about it and cannot see the issue behind it. If i only had 21000 IS then I would totally snatch up the outfits.

I guess some people are really wanting these outfits to not be available for everyone because they want to feel extremely special but uhh... You're already special enough and no one else will ever exist the same as you. So how about let others try to get these outfits without making them feel bad :/

Aye Tis true. My problem was not with this but with the fact that some people who paid for the pass like me feel a bit miffed off (if) these are sold for shards (these being the leaked skins I was stopped from mentioning). Since back then you had to pay/grind for them and the way they were portrayed in the trailer made me believe they weren’t coming back.

I never knew they had always planned to release them later on. Mistake on my part I must admit.

  • I think it helps. But it still doesn’t fully make up for his lack of map pressure imo. Hopefully that will be fixed soon.

Those 2 add-ons do really help me though, as someone who only really reloads when I’ve got a survivor pinned in a corner of the map or at an unsafe pallet.

Combine thick cork stopper with cigar box and you’ve got my 2 faves

@CHED1 Please refer to our forum rules were we do clearly state that we do not appreciate posts about leaks or suspected leaks and do not allow them to be posted on our forum. So I've edited your post with regards to this.

We've been very clear about this and said that Rift items will eventually come to the Store, minimum time was 6 months and the Nurse skin was recently added which I think was available on the Rift around a year earlier. I'm happy with this, people who grinded the rift got the skins early and people who were unable to do that (or newer players) will still have the same opportunities to get the skins further down the line.

Rip sorry I breached your rules.

I must of missed the memo about them being available later in store. I wouldn’t have bought the rift otherwise.

Almost definitely in-store. Whether it is auric cells only or not, I can't really say.

Really is a shame that, kinda killed off my enthusiasm for buying rifts anymore. Rip

It's every 6 months after the Tome is over. Sorry that I don't know the exact date Tome 2 was released, since I started playing the game mid way through the event.

Mad, didn’t know this. Kind of a bummer imo for players who grinded hard for skins then, just for them to be available again further down the line. Any ideas on how they will make them available again?

Because they finally fixed matchmaking. All these other players are at the same skill level you are

I thought that matchmaking changes were only present on Xbox. Is this not correct?

You'd be correct about the Clown Main aspect.

from the looks of it @CHED1 it looks good in a hit and run or anti-heal build but i'm not the most knowledgeable.

Indeed I wonder though what add-on would be best to run with it. I tend to use purple/green ether addons (Increased intoxication duration) with something like cork stopper (reload speed). With this addon I guess something that expands the gas would be good (bottle of chloroform maybe). Seems a decent choice. But then again I’m no expert.

Could be interesting paired with thanta when you dont want to run sloppy

Feel as though it’s a budget replacement for a heal slowdown perk lmao. Has it’s uses though...

Out of curiosity how is the X-Box matchmaking looking so far this week? Most of the posts regarding matchmaking that I've seen so far have been either complaining about the current Rank system on PC or speculation about what the new system will do or not do on PC. But I haven't noticed much feedback from actual X-Box players who have been playing games under the new algorithm. Good? Bad? Indifferent?

Rank 4-1 (survivor) on Xbox and I didn’t feel much of a difference, that’s probably why. The only thing I saw (and this was when I was playing with my mate, who’s rank 15-10) There’s more low rank (as in 20-13) killers who play considerably better and than their rank suggests. Guess this is the new system kicking in with individual killer skill being the new priority in matching.

I wouldn't call myself a Trapper main but he is one of the few characters I have P3 right now and I play a decent amount of him.

The main thing I can say in response to your post, since it mainly seems to be about finding somebody early, is don't be afraid to injure somebody and leave. If it's early in the game, it's crucial to get your traps into position. I watched an Otz video recently where he was talking about Trapper and he was essentially trying to describe the Trapper, and he sort of said along the lines of "There's maybe 12 pallets on a (hypothetical) map, and Trapper starts with a base 7 traps or something, so each one of those is essentially taking one of those usable loops away from the survivors." That's really butchering it, but I think that's a good way to look at it: even if the survivors see you putting down your traps, it's good to get them into those positions where you can take advantage of their ability to cut off survivors' loopable areas. If you get to late game, you're not really going to have time to grab those edge-of-the-map traps.

Anyway, that's the best way I can think to put it right now. It's pretty much just simply math -- getting those bear traps into position and constantly being able to reset them faster than a survivor can disarm them has won me over many kills just by sheer pressure and being able to pinch the survivors into a tight spot. Don't sweat the early too much, because the late is where you're gonna shine as Trapper. If there's an easy enough hit go ahead and take it because it takes however many seconds for the survivor to go through their heal process, and only takes you a few seconds to hit them and wipe off your weapon. Like others have said though, if it's early on and the survivor you see is going to a strong area that is going to take you quite a while to catch them at, it's best to just keep to your setting up and bide your time.

Good luck with the tips you pick up from the thread :)

    Thank you kindly 😊

He actually sucks the worst on maps with buildings as there's no grass to blend them in with. Also it takes a really long time to find and set additional trap while every other killer with traps has all of them in disposal. I do prefer if survivors disarm traps as that buys a little bit of time. Still I think he needs a small buff such as an increase in trap setting speed, increase the amount of traps trapper has by default, or no longer have it that you need to keep finding traps on the map. Instead you have all of them with a minor nerf to overall amount of traps or changing the escape from traps to be seconds not a RNG mechanic.

My opinion blood lodge is absolutely awful for him. Even though there’s tall grass there, it doesn’t matter as you can be seen from a mile away putting them down.

  • @Samwise444 said:

Also, what does your perk layout look like and what add-ons are you using? I hate to say it, but Trapper can sometimes be reliant on the load-out.

Was rocking the two perk build innit.

  • @Alice_pbg said:

I down and hook them, then continue to set up.

It's annoying to find someone too fast as trapper... but letting them leave for free is usually the worse option 🤷‍♂️

But I have to disagree, the macmillan maps are actually amazing for trapper. So much grass.

Personally it’s the saloon map for me. Trapping main building there always gives me results. But each to their own.

  • F. A killer I truly enjoyed. May you rest easy up there in the next life.

Hopefully wherever that is, it will be full of survivors who will shine a flashlight at you while moving for no reason other than to give you that 5% speed boost you truly deserve....

    Rest in peace

  • @Dead_by_Gadfly said:

Sorry if you mentioned this and I missed it, but of youre just trying to get the length and width of things, survivors move at exactly 4 meters per second. So you could go into a kyf as a survivor and walk the map/tiles and get the length/width of tikes and the maps that way. Youd need someone playing killer running a stop watch but should be doable

Didn’t even cross my mind, thank you kindly 😁

Okay, so after trolling threads and stuff I have another mindracking question.

WHAT IS CONSIDERED A FAIR KILLER?!

Freddy is OP cause of teleport and somehow his lunge range even though it is the same as other killers?? (and traps sometimes?)

Legion is OP because he is annoying to play against i guess?

Nurse is OP because of Blinks

Spirit is OP because survivors cant see her when shes using her limited power?

Clown is OP (Seen a couple of threads) because of movespeed but it seems because he walks weird.

Deathslinger is OP cause he is a 360 scoper and annoying to play against.

Wraith is OP because invisibility is hard to deal with.

Huntress is OP because iri heads And she can throw hatchets period.

Hag is OP cause teleport and traps.

Myers is OP cause tombstone and i dont remember the other addon for infa T3

    Hillbilly is OP cause chainsaw

Leatherface is OP cause of insidious chainsaw.

Ghostface OP cause of bugged peaking and tbagging

So if im right that leaves Oni, Demogorgon, Trapper, Plague, Pig.

TLDR: What killers are "Fair" to play in matches According to the forums!? (I play whoever I want whenever I want CAUSE THATS HOW I ROLL)

I need to see these threads saying clown’s OP, I just need to.

  • @Fiv55 said:

billy (and bubba) aint really representative, due to him not having a single ultra rare addon.

So instead of 8 ebonys during these 50 lvls, you would get maybe 2-3 ebonys on other killers.

They just need to rethink the rarity of the addons, carbo tuning guide shouldnt be green. It's better than his very rare addons as well as his green addons (except the doom engravings, but it has a downside).

thats fair, but even in the case of other killers, although the gap may be less significant, you seem to get more ebonies than The other two.

Couldn’t switching cypress to most common, Ivory less so and Ebony rarest (like the offerings’ rarity shows) for all killers solve the problem?

it wouldn’t be that difficult to do a ranged fix like this, wouldn’t it?

  • @MadArtillery said:

I wish the mori curve was reversed. Seriously ebony being the most common by a titanic margin is rediculious.

I’ve been playing Survivor basically since release but only killer recently (last couple of months) has it’s always been like this?
