Respecting pallets out of habit. It's a bad one I need to break, can't count the amount of times I'd have gotten a hit if I hadn't respected a pallet. Sometimes I don't, but sometimes I stop without even thinking about it.

You CAN get 4ks as a killer without ruin, absolutely. You can also get 1k because everyone just worked gens while one guy with OoO looped you for the match using his muscle memory from 3000 hours of dbd. Everyone's experienced survivors who play 100% optimally, and ruin was something that helped against it. You could set all your traps without losing two gens, or patrol and actually find people without losing one because some toolboxes banged it out. Now you have to push one person off a gen and let another work on it with no downside to them. Yeehaw.

Pushing survivors off gens isn't a solution. You can effectively chase one at a time and defend one generator at a time, with chases having varying durations. It's not going to be an effective perk, survivors will just be gluing themselves to gens even harder. And it's still a HEX. I'm going to pee my pants RIGHT now.

It'd be nice if they'd treat the game less like a money farm and more like something they care about. In the long run this will definitely hurt their sales anyhow, considering the unrelenting vice grip choking the life out of the game will eventually actually kill it.
They'll need to introduce a new game mode where there's no killers at all, I think that's the direction we're headed. Epic gamer generator repair simulator 2020.

For real though, FNAF set the laziest standard for horror awhile ago and I've hated it since it came out, I never got the scare appeal considering it was just jumpscares with a weak concept. The backstory took ages to be developed and even then I found the entire thing subpar. It makes me sad that it was a lot of people's introduction to horror.
That being said, it just feels strictly cartoony. I can take a lot of the killers in the game seriously and see them as intimidating, but anything associated with Five Nights has been so watered down - from an already weak and uninteresting base, then it was so overdone with game after game that all I see is a cringy joke when it comes to it's content. Robot scream loud in your face oh god oh heck oh I poopied ooohhhhheeeefrick

I just never touched him because I thought his very basic power was weak, then tried him after years of playing and found out he was incredibly strong since I knew how/where survivors tend to move. So yeah, new main just out of the blue. People at higher ranks slept on trapper for awhile I guess.

If you choose to react to wording poorly, sure. My point wasn't that it doesn't matter, just that it shouldn't. Obviously it has gained some backlash and responses just based on tone, but they're pointless and don't actually address the greater issue being brought up.

The man is saying he doesn't like dealing with DCs and people being absolute buttholes to him back to back to back, with the root problem being matchmaking and it's state of being a dumpster fire. What perks the dude has is incredibly irrelevant, and his skill level is plain to see and part of the issue of being put against red rank survivors. Toxic people should really start getting the axe more for talking ######### as much as they do.

Just because you can't see people with bbq doesn't mean they are at the hook. You can position yourself against a gen if you pay attention to where hooks are compared to where the downed survivor is or just get in a locker. I tend to use the gen to hind my arua and if I can't I usually just let it happen. I swear sometimes I question if any one understands the game mechanics.
How likely is it that every other survivor is hiding correctly? It's not always a matter of game mechanics being used perfectly, and considering I've reliably found people near the hook with bbq not showing auras it absolutely is indicative depending on who you're playing against. "It doesn't work on me so it isn't a thing, you don't understand game mechanics." Petty and pretty pointless, considering you didn't address anything else when that was pretty much a side note of the post to begin with. Stop being condescending while you look at things strictly from your point of view, other survivors play differently/worse and make certain things work.

Anytime I see waffleboyyum commenting on a thread I pretty much just skip over it. That's pretty much all he does, not even a shitpost here and there. Just acts genuinely condescending and doesn't budge an inch on stuff that's flat out wrong.
That being said, DS absolutely let's you survive more. That's it's whole purpose as a perk and it does it's job wonderfully- to the point where it's not just an anti-tunnel perk, it's just an all around free health state for a minute that you can do whatever you want with. A lot of killers can't afford to slug everyone every time to counter it. That's just silly. Some other circumstances can happen that prevent it being triggered but they're much less common than the perk just working. That being said you can still just eat the DS and waste time chasing them again; I don't think it needs too much of a tweak. Maybe just don't allow protection hits and have it deactivate if the survivor touches a gen. Kind of a dead horse though.

It's not just you, could easily be other survivors leaving scratches within view and tipping off the killer that someone else is coming. Another thing is when you hook someone and don't see anyone with bbq, tipping you off that everyone and their mother is trying to go for a save. There's a lot of potential reasons to not leave a hook if you know someone's going to unhook the second you walk away and then you just turn back around with the rescuer(or rescuee if that's your thing, whatever,) having a solid headstart. Scratch marks are definitely the most common thing that make me stay and search around the hook though.

Lmao, killers have been nerfed like crazy too. The maps are incredibly unbalanced in survivor's favor, and DS is known to have many problems that extend beyond just being an anti tunnel perk. All of these points have been beaten to death time and time again, but "KILLER UNFAIR TOO STRONG SURVIVOR UNDERPOWERED" Seems to be ingrained in people. Both sides are in a pretty okay spot in terms of balance but need tweaks, and the maps really need to be fixed.

People are saying the keyboard controls were a known issue, and yeah, you could legitimately flick 180 degrees if you used them and the mouse at the same time. With just the mouse it was a 90 degree flick, and they removed the ability to do that. You can get about 30 now, which is incredibly useless.
But bro. Someday we'll have all killers nerfed into the ground so survivors get out every time and eventually just have nobody to play against. The ideal world, a game without killers where you just do gens and leave

People are actually sleeping on aftercare, legit such a good perk. It doesn't take long before you can see your whole team, even with the prerequisite.

I personally disagree. I'm pretty sure this only happens in situations where the killer unintentionally loses the person they slug, and if their team can't help them. The killer doesn't want to leave someone slugged TOO long, as survivors can easily get things done elsewhere while the downed person recovers to the point of just needing one little touch for recovery. The only situation where they'd leave them is if they're confident they can down another, and likely the last survivor. If you crawl away and hide from the killer when they get back from that to hook you, you can't really complain about the several minutes of crawling gameplay imo.

"These options don't always work" is true to anything. If someone just plays better than you then you need to figure out what isn't working and try alternative methods rather than throwing yourself at the problem the same way time and time again to just walk away with a "well this is just overpowered" mentality. People who see ruin, thanataphobia, campers, three gen, etc, often suffer from a defeatist mentality of "there's nothing I can do about this" instead of an actual experienced and good player's "what can I do against this?" There's a lot of possibilities, especially with a SWF. You can avoid being 3 genned when someone cramps easily, even if they are camping someone they'll have to choose between pressuring the nearby gen or watching the person on the hook. If you can't unhook and get away while the killer is briefly away pressuring a generator, it's your and your team's problem. One person likely will end up dying from being camped on hook, but if you keep playing around the camping killer's two possible actions, it's nearly impossible for more than one survivor to die.

I disagree and think it's more a mentality to believe it's a guaranteed win, but if you see it at that much of an extreme no amount of discussion would change your view. Ruin and thanat are truly minor slowdowns, the latter especially. Thanat is pretty negligible especially if you don't give the killer free hits. Agree to disagree, but you can just work around it and lose one survivor if you play better than someone who is bad enough to face camp at five gens.

I can guarantee it's just as boring and sad for the killer if nobody comes to unhook. The only time I do it is if i get absolutely ######### on and there's only one or no gens left, and several times it's led to me getting a four-man because survivors wouldn't let their friend die on the hook. If you play around it and don't go for the save, they'll do it less because it just won't work. Giving free hits, trading for the hook, getting downed by bubba when you try to unhook, etc, encourages the horrible strategy. If it works it works, but if it doesn't, it won't happen nearly as much. Some mouthbreathers will still do it just to get one person and no more, but that's just pathetic and they're walking away with a loss just like that one survivor.

Camping at five gens does nothing but kneecap the killer. Yeah they'll get one kill, but if he doesn't move the entire time the other three can pop four gens if they just work on them the whole time. The desired average is two kills per game, and as much as it sucks for one survivor, they can ######### the killer even harder by just sitting on the hook and tapping space so the other three survivors get out. It's a strategy that just loses the killer the game if people aren't pointlessly altruistic. Sometimes you just gotta take one for the team to secure the overall win.
