  • If being downed across the map by a drone is unhealthy, then only have hindered be applied to injured survivors.

When injured: 10% hindered for 5 seconds when hit by a scan and 5% hindered for 30 seconds when hit by a laser beam.

  • TLDR: replace Jump Rope's effect, buff bad add-ons and fix Black Box or replace it with something else.

Lastly, give us an option to play with the old Dream snares and Dream pallets as add-ons.

  • I intended to make the Skull Merchant a better trap Killer and have removed the haste. Foremost, I wanted to reward setting traps early that are in a good position.

In my opinion, losing a health state because of drones or gaining haste + hindered is annoying for the Survivor. That is why I reworked her this way and have more emphasis on the Radar for chasing.

The Claw Traps used to be stronger and more apparent in games.

    So my solutions are:

    1. Survivors are exposed while having a Claw Trap, more viable.
    2. Every time a Survivor is inside a Stealth Drone, the action Speed of Skull Merchant of breaking pallets, walls, gens and vaulting windows is increased by 20% for 30 seconds.
    3. Scouting Drones increases your movement speed of Skull Merchant by 5% while inside the drone.

I forgot to say this in my post, but Devs if you going to change Skull Merchant, have a way for Survivors to remove Locked on Stacks. Now you cannot get rid of them when you get scanned.

  • Sidenote: my ideas might be bad, but I like the concept of placing traps on the map like in Resident Evil: Resistance. The DBD developers have already a version of Freddy a this point, so it is pointless to post this. However, I would like to know what Freddy Players or fans think of this Version of Freddy.

Insidious is actually would be worse with this buff, you absolutely don't want to accidentally show survivors that you have this perk before you can use it to down someone. I also believe it's not F-tier, it just needs right synergy, I like to use it as Unknown, especially with Dragon's Grip and I don't want any changes to this perk.

I forgot Unknown and the Doctor can use Insidious. The problem with this perk is that there are better alternatives like Trail of Torment and Unforseen for most of the killers. My change was to make it more viable in chase and an indirect buff to undetectable killers (the aura reading while having undetectable). If you think it is fine, maybe the developers can only add the one mentioned new buff.

If you gonna buff boons to that much, finding them should be a lot easier

Currently sound que is extremely quiet and generally doesn't even reach the entire range

I agree. Either the boons can maybe give a directional noise when the Killer is in range that is louder the closer you are. Or within a range you can see their aura. Also, the devs can tweak or slightly nerf boons if they are too powerful which I am fine with.

Lmao, 200% healing speed and recovery on 40m radius with full invisibility for 10 seconds action. Let me guess, your next suggestion will be buff to toolboxes, bring back old DH and make survivors 4.2m/s?

Haha, you are totally right. How did you know? But seriously, I tried to make all boons meta and be played every game. I overlooked how bad this buff is for Circle of Healing, + the rest that is overbuffed clearly. It can be tweaked by the Devs if they want. The Numbers are not important, as long as every boon is useful in a way that is fair. I am all for it.

Blight doesn't need any nerf. He is in a good spot right now. Without Hugtech survivors have much more options to play against him without getting tricked. His Addons are fair and no longer broken - in fact - some of his Add-Ons could get a buff but that's a different story. Yes, he is still a strong and powerful killer but no longer a killer that downs survivors in a bs way. He still has some good counterplays like crouching or faking direction to make him miss.

Nurse is a funny story because I see her like SWF. She is the strongest killer in the game same as good SWF are the strongest but they are rare but oppressive and really strong. In the same way, she is also hard to nerf without making her useless or removing the fun part. The best way to nerf her would be to add more line of sight blockers on the map but this would also nerf many other killers (Huntress, Trickster, Deathslinger) and with the buffed IW it would be even more a nerf for other killers. The devs would also never spend so much time and work into this - so never gonna happen. Giving her Blindness while charging a blink would not be the right step and good nurses wouldn't mind that too much but newer players would struggle even more.

Billy: The only nerf I can see is a change to his overdrive because it is a little bit akward that he gets rewarded for overusing his power even when used wrong or just for mobility - Imagen Trickster would get main event for missing his Knife or Nurse would get an extra blink just because she used her power for mobility.. So in my opinion he could get overdrive for hooking a survivor which would reduce potencial slugging and make downing more rewarding. The Lowpro Add-On is also something that could get a change because it feels akward that either the survivor drops the Pallet and you get the hit or the survivor does not drop the Pallet and you get the hit/down. It is a lose lose situation similar to old Scamper Chucky. As an exchange the crouch tech could be removed. He could get a build in Antifacecamp-mechanic because it feels so stupid that he can just stay with a 99% chainsaw at the hook and there is nothing you can do. But a similar issue has Bubba. Otherwise he is completely fine. 40 meter terrorradius would be not a big deal and not really a nerf that would make him less oppressive.

    You make good points.

I am fine with Blight honestly, he is considered strong but fair. He requires skill and his unhealthy components are removed.

My intention with Nurse, by giving blindness while blinking, is to combat the considered overpowered wallhacks she has. I do not think the Nurse should be balanced around beginners. I could be wrong though.

Billy should be encouraged to use his chainsaw in a chase, not with his mobility. For the anti-camping system, maybe increase his Charge Time to penalize this playstyle. Otherwise, Base Billy is fine in my opinion even though I liked the management of overheat. People like to use a killer's power all the time and do not like to be forced to be a m1-killer sometimes. I have scrapped my ideas because people seem to think I am insane for suggesting changes to him with how overdrive works.

I don't know either but when I edited my post, the post was reviewed

You're conflating winrate with strength and kill rates with balance. Straight numbers don't illustrate the picture accurately.

That being said OP's suggestions are nuts. No thank you

How would you change them then? I am all ears.

Hmmm… could roll that into basekit. I did rework the Boyfriend Memo and Jewellery add-ons to have that kind of flavour, gaining stalk while landing m1s. If you use both add-ons its 1.25 stalk per auto (1/4 of your stalk bar). I didn't want to go too hard because I got the feeling you could quite easily shaft yourself with these add-on too by popping Tier3 earlier than you want.

I believe with the stationary stalk, the tier up from Tier 1 should be a lot easier. If you can get close enough to m1, you can stand still and stalk very fast if there isn't a nearby line of sight blocker.

I overlooked the add-ons. The problem is when a survivor reacts to you or spots you. You cannot get value out of the buff when standing still. You are easy to detect when you are in a close distance. You need a backup (m1'ing a survivor). Attentive or experienced survivors will not let you stalk them when detected.

  • This would help Trapper a lot and I like the changes. However, Trapper gets more encouraged to play around basement with the increase of Traps and Trap removal time. I would add the change to require a distance between traps to nerf trapping basement. Maybe 8 meters?

  • A fix to hexes in my opinion: simply block hexes for the first 30 seconds. Or have the ability to put a nerfed version of a cleansed hex back in the trial when you want.

I like the risk vs reward aspect but I also like reassurance my hex gets value. I do not like that survivors are discouraged to cleanse Dull Totems. Maybe make hexes have an area of effect around Dull Totems instead of global which would encourage cleansing Dull Totems.

  • I agree with everything you said I like the explanations behind the changes.

You get rewarded for being undetected or strategizing. Also, there is less time wasted using your power. I would have given Myers basekit Blight Serum, but that's just me.

However, he still has some weaknesses. He still has trouble reaching Evil Within 2 when the survivors know your location. You cannot sometimes afford to switch targets even with the movement speed increase.

    My proposal to this problem:

    • Make it easier to reach Evil Within 2:

Reward Myers getting close to the survivor undetected, m1'ing a survivor in Evil Within 1 fills half a bar and make his Base Movement Speed in Evil Within 1 110%.

  • For the record, when I say ''meme add-ons have no place in the game'' I mean add-ons like Freddy's addon: ''Kid's Drawing''' that nerfs the Dream Snares. There is no fun in using this add-on on a bad killer. Meme add-ons that do have a place in the game are add-ons like Wraith's "The Beast Soot", Clown's "Party Bottle" or Michael Myers' "Scratched Mirror". You can limit yourself and play in a fun playstyle with builds.

  • @TragicSolitude said:

I love meme add-ons. I like the BP boost and the mental confusion it can cause for the survivors as you can tell they're trying to figure out what the hell just happened.

For other add-ons, I have no feedback to give. I rarely if ever use non-meme add-ons.

I like to play nonoptimal too, I use a lot of ''bad'' add-ons nobody uses. However, I am not gonna lie I feel forced to use the best add-ons when playing against experienced players or the meta. Give me at least something when I am nerfing myself. I want interesting add-ons that encourage a playstyle, have a give/take, or have a funny effect that is noticeable.

  • @PogbertChamperson said:

    No.

Meme add-ons DO belong in this game. If you don't want to run them that is fine, but other players enjoy the added challenge or the 'meme' factor.

The added Challenge is using no add-ons/perks. I want add-ons that are atleast fun when I am handicapping myself like Scratched Mirror and not Kid's Drawing. Because nobody wants to run that add-on on Freddy even if it is more challenging. If you want to meme that is fine but make them at least encourage playstyles or increase in fun factor.

That's what I read, the rest is fair enough, flavour of how you'd want a Freddy rework to go… but this change is nuts… definitely wanna scrap that my guy…

I did not mean Survivors have a 30-second timer on the hook before they die that's hilariously bad and not my intention in the slightest. My suggestion was to reduce the Micro Sleep timer for unhooked survivors and not punish the teleport ability cooldown like it is currently. The unhooked survivor can still wake up by failed skill checks or the wake up interaction by the unhooker.

  • @_Onyx_ said:

"[BUFF] Hooked Survivors are now on a 15-second timer (was 60 seconds)"

Does this mean you want Survivors to have 30 seconds on a hook before they are sacrificed?

Sorry I meant the Micro Sleep Timer (the automatic 60s timer until you go to sleep). My idea was after the Survivor is unhooked, their micro sleep timer is reduced to 15 seconds instead of 60 to not punish hooking Survivors.

  • @vito180 said:

It all looks just great, but it seems to me that they will never do it, unfortunately for us Freddie Mains. I also want skins for Freddy, for example from classic movies, and the ability that you wrote. Therefore, it remains only to be sad😔

I find it very sad that the Devs did give up on this killer. He could have his skin from the first movie and voice lines. We can only hope they make Freddy at least a bit like his old version (putting survivors manually to sleep).

  • In my opinion Hillbilly's Basekit is mostly fine, his add-ons need to be looked at (missed chainsaw cooldown add-ons and useless add-ons)

My goal is to make all add-on have an use while making the strong add-on no too strong.

    The problematic add-ons

-Greased Throttle, The Thompsons' Mix: The missed Chainsaw cooldown is already low on basekit and these add-ons make it almost a guaranteed m1, making it uncounterable. Rework these add-ons (like Leafy Mash or Mother's helpers).

LoPro Chains: this add-on feels cheap to use and a little unfair for survivors when dropping a pallet. Give it another drawback (like increased chainsaw Charge time)

Iridescent Engravings: This add-on is mostly fine, only problem is that it stacks with Overdrive at a ridiculous speed. The time to react is small. Maybe make it only increase movement speed when not in Overdrive.

    The terrible or unneeded add-ons

    - Counterweight: this add-on is terrible, make it atleast have something little like +5% charge reduction (in Overdrive)

-Cracked Prime Bulb: this add-on is a bad give-take add-on. Make it an actually speed limiter: e.g. it increases the Charge rate of the Overdrive Meter by +50% and decrease the movement speed of the chainsaw by -10%

-Steel toe Boots: make one bump-addon and rework the other one (e.g. 5% chainsaw movement increase).

-Thermal Casing, Discarded Air Filter, Ragged Engine, High-Speed Idler Screw: these add-ons do the same thing, delaying the decay of the Overdrive meter is not necessary and the time is too long to make a difference with add-ons. Have 1 decay add-on and rework the rest (e.g. old Big Buckle, Pighouse Gloves, Mother's Helpers and Black Grease combined or Leafy Mash etc.)

-Tuned Carburettor: this add-on is scary to buff/change, but the 4.4 m/s movement speed is most of the time a hinderance. It has a hidden downside of making the chainsaw speed slower because of the movement speed multiplier (4.4*2*1.1): 9.68 m/s instead of the normal 10.12 m/s. Give it less chainsaw charge time (20% --> 15%), decrease the movement speed of the chainsaw by 10% and remove the 4.4 m/s movement speed penalty.

TLDR: Billy is mostly fine, but has overlooked/bad add-ons while some are problematic.
