  • I would genuinely love to know the reasoning of whoever voted my post down for recommending that the Black Banquet be extended to allow Switch players to actually play with their cross-platform friends.

I'm not suggesting that upcoming events be offset because of it, and if you just don't like Black Banquet, you're free to play normally, as BHVR made that an option a while back.

Switch will be up to a week after other platforms for receiving Bugfix Patch 2 as advised in the FAQ regarding this linked below.

FAQ for Nintendo Switch Release Time Changes – Dead by Daylight

There are currently no plans for a specific Switch 2 update.

Are you seriously telling us that friends that play on Switch won't be able to play with us for literally the entire 10th Anniversary event? That is not ok.

  • I had two Merciless victories today using 3 universal perks, and one awarding 4 iridescent. Zero progress.

Platform was PC, and perks I used were Bitter Murmur, Shattered Hope, and Spies from the Shadows (1st time); Shattered Hope, Sloppy Butcher, Spies from the Shadows (2nd time).

Shattered Hope is a newer universal perk, so it makes me wonder if they forgot to include it as giving credit.

  • I agree that the charm was quite a bit underwhelming after five full cosmetic outfits, two in one month, even. I think it would've been better received if it had been 3-4 charms covering the holidays from Feb - April, but at the end of the day, it's essentially a bonus for a service a lot of us already purchased for a completely different reason.

  • I haven't noticed any huge issues with pathing on the Zombies when I play as Nemesis, but yeah, they do sometimes get stuck, maybe once every 5-6 games. I just whack them when I'm near them so that they respawn, which gives some mutation progress out of it and drops them near a gen that a survivor may be working on.

It would be nice if they path a little better yes, but then again, they're supposed to be dumb zombies. I'm also not certain, but they may be less prone to getting stuck when they have the add-on that gives them an FoV/Detection increase.

  • Tinkerer isn't overpowered by any means. It only gives 16 seconds of undetectable, and activates in a very predictable fashion, a maximum of 5 times. Yes, it's better on killers with higher mobility/map control, but still not overpowered.

It's also not as if the killer is crouched at a starting line, waiting to dash in that direction, either, so you're lucky to get 12 seconds worth of actual use out of it.

This ######### is so ######### annoying. It makes absolutly zero sence tha t a little midget can block a non human beeing that casually breaks pallets and wooden doors with zero effort. The Killer shpuld be able to push the survivor aside without even realising that a survivor is in his way. Why does the entity enhance there physical capabilities if there is no possibility to push survivors aside

Unrealistic or not, I don't think body blocking is going anywhere, although I suspect this may be more about your frustration with having to deal with the mechanic of it in the game. It can be very frustrating when you run into a practiced group that just mob you so that you can't make it to a hook, but sometimes you just have to keep your cool and roll with it.

The other great thing is that there's counterplay perks for those tactics, not limited to, but especially Mad Grit. That perk has singlehandedly won me games against groups that do that and don't expect it.

And as a final note, remember that you can body block as well; I can't tell you how many free hits I've gotten because a survivor made a mistake and ran somewhere where they literally can't get past me without taking a hit to turn collision off.

  • To be fair, there are instances where it's strategic for the killer to not pick up the survivor. If they're running as an SWF group and plan on bullying the killer with multiple flashlights, body blocking, boil over, etc, and you know you will just not make it to the hook.

I agree it's not very fun if a certain point is reached where both sides are just essentially waiting on the clock to run out, but if a function to let you bleed out was put in, BHVR could probably tune things so it resulted in a loss of BP only in certain circumstances.

Looking at things from a different angle, what if they just reduced the bleed out timer? Say, from 4 minutes to 3?

  • I think completely breaking boon totems would be interesting counterplay, but would probably need to be its own perk, possibly combined with a secondary bonus, like preventing survivors from being able to overwrite a lit hex totem with a boon.

  • I agree that Whispers is a bit niche, since I only use it on The Doctor as a cue for when to Static Blast.

If it were going to be reworked, I'd like to see something where the more the killer acted on the whispers, the clearer they became.

Perhaps start with a normal 360-degree radius, but when a certain event triggered, chop like 5/10/15 degrees out of the radius, starting directly behind the killer, cap it at like 3-5 stacks.

  • I don't think it should be called that, but I think the idea has merit. They could give them skill checks, similar to the 2nd hook phase, so that it was more of a struggle to remain conscious while bleeding out, and you would have the strategic option of giving up if you chose to.

Sure it is. It represents a group of people banning together to influence politics. The same as a BLM flag or any other group. Where you fall on any given issue is irrelevant because at the end of the day someone is going to decide whose politics are acceptable and who's are not and that is not something an inclusive community needs to do. No one needs to know your sexual, political, or religious preferences, and forcing them into the conversation or game with no reason to do so is transparently promoting an agenda.

It isn't a matter of using it or don't, it's a matter of here's a political flag waved in your face that you may or may not be opposed to.

If I were a business owner who had their business burned to the ground during a BLM riot would it be cool to have the flag waving at me? What if I lost a family member to the BLM guy that ran down multiple people in Wisconsin? Who makes these choices? What if something occurs between two causes such as a LGBTQ and a BLM member? Which cause charm do we delete?

It can all be avoided by simply keeping the game a game and not a political propaganda tool.

You remind me of one of those scare-tactic politicians that pushes the worst-case scenario as an everyday occurrence. Just because something bad happens, you don't throw the baby out with the bath water.

People have bumper stickers, flags, shirts, license plates, and all sorts of other things to share their support of various causes. It's not overtly political, and a person's sexual or gender identity shouldn't be thought of as something conceived to influence politics--that's just tremendously dismissive and insensitive of who they are.

Some things are worth being celebrated--that's why we have holidays, days of remembrance, and days of visibility, and saying otherwise that it's "political" or "propaganda" just comes off as bitter and jaded.

  • I think it might be more psychologically interesting if instead of speeding Myers up in T3, all survivors became increasingly hindered, and if they remained stationary for too long (3 seconds?), it triggers killer instinct on them, so that they just can't camp it out.

It gives a sense of oppressive exhaustion and futility to the chase when Myers is at his pinnacle, and make looping and other evasion tactics less steady as they slow down.

  • It would definitely make things more interesting synergistically, but they would likely have to rebalance literally everything because of it, so I don't see it happening. Would be fun if they had some experimental modes to try out things like that, though.

  • An LGBT flag isn't politics; it's supporting people that need it, and I was just giving examples of possibilities. The LGBT charm is the easiest example, just because I've seen streamers come across it and literally pause what they're doing to cheer. It can mean a lot to people to see that stuff in something as mundane as a game, so I like leaving that charm perma-slotted.

Problem is, I only have 3 slots, so I thought it would be interesting to have a 4th slot that only worked with specific charms, and if you don't want to use it, you can leave it blank.
