  • I have the same problem! But sadly there is no solution :'(

  • I'm playing on a Laptop and get 30 FPS Ingame, it drops when Gens get done because of the new sparks... So I would only imagine that your Ps4 will MELT with the update.

  • Tbh I would be very confused, and I just think the style of the game is too childish for it to come to dbd.

  • F.

  • I don't get why people still call fnaf a kids game. If they knew the story they would know, but I guess they just don't wanna. The character Springtrap is a man who has lured kids in this pizzeria to slaughter them and hide their dead bodies in animatronic suits. The souls of the kids possessed the animatronics and wanted revenge. Now long story short Springtrap aka purple guy tried to protect himself by going inside an animatronic suit. And the metal parts crushed him and he experienced a slow and painful death :) That's how he became spring trap. Now I will say I watched fnaf when I was a child ( but I was terrified) I just found the story really interesting and many YouTubers made vids od the game. But such a story a child's game? Nah man I would say maybe Teens, but nothing more.

  • Hmm, Ghostface is my favorite killer to play, and one of my strongest. I am not that experienced in playing killer too, I have 270 hours in-game and maybe 250 is as survivor. I love GF's power bc I love to play stealthy in videogames so I thought all the stealth killers would be my type. Now I gotta say I tried Wraith, Pig, and Michael but their stealth is just not stealthy for me xD Now now let's get to the discussion part. You need to know when to use your power and when not to. You will hear the sound when you get revealed so crouch so that its harder for the survivors to reveal you. It takes some practice to play Ghostyboy and it can be frustrating, but it'll pay off. But maybe his playstyle is just not yours. It depends :) well have a nice day!

  • I agree and disagree with you. The only thing Ghostface needs is a power reduction and some add on changes. His stealth is great, only thing I would change too is the indicator where you get seen.

  • AHH mine is definitely Ghostface. I love playing stealthy in games so he's the perfect match for me. Second is gonna be Doctor. I always win games with him but tbh he isn't really fun to play. Next I wanna get Demo and I am practicing my Clown :)

Coming from another person with mental illness, if you're not mentally stable enough to handle a mean word you REALLY shouldn't be playing an online game

Like I said before this wasn't just because they insulted me. I was scared that I might get banned because of them.

I have depression as well, I'm just saying to try and make you think of it in a different light. Remember, the trash talkers literally don't know you, you're just a screen name. And some of them are probably 10 years old lol. If they insult you it just means they suck at the game. I understand you have depression, but you still have a brain and I'm sure you're smarter than to let some little kid get under your skin who you'll never even encounter in real life.

I know and I do not let others get under my skin easily, but these survivors where just awefull. I actually got scared that I'll be banned.

Look just ignore it youre obviously sensitive, thats not bad but these guys are pathetic trash and you shouldn't care once those exits are powered or youre gen rushed there is no trash play and no rules

I will try in the future, thanks :)

  • @Octobersmoke said:

I just don't understand lol. These people see a name on a screen. They have no clue who you are, know nothing about you. The insults they dish out probably gets said to every person they lose against, so why take it so personally? Are you a n*zi? No? Then who cares lol.

Sorry if I sound like an A-hole but this is kind of silly when you think about it.

I have a Mental condition (depression) so even if some dude in a video game calls me names I get very upset. Of course I know that I should just move on but I am constantly rethinking it and get even more upset. Like I said it would just be a nice thing added in the game.

are you playing different game i mean i play steam and ps4 and i never get good messages i try give good messages if i can sometime after match killer another survivor get into it i go i'm solo.

on ps4 i just flat out disable it

Same here! I always try to be as nice as possible at the end of my games.

  • @Mooks said:

You can also ignore the chat or don’t even show it.

even if there were direct word blockers people would find a way to type in the words they want, be it with separators or exchanging letters with numbers or something else so if you really cannot handle it and you know it, hide the chat!

Also pls use the Chat abuse report function if necessary, no additional screenshots are needed here.

I will report them next time, thank you.

Well, I am not Mentally stable, so even simple words can hurt me very badly. It's good for you that it doesn't affect you, but for players for me a word blocker would be a nice thing added to the game

Only the strongest warriors, trained by the ultimate sensai are able to ignore salty losers and their toxicity! And these warriors are the elite of the elite....

Everyone else with their thin skin can have a filter lol

Fr, is it really that difficult for your mind and soul to read salty comments? I can't imagine that. I just laugh it off and even do screenshots, upload it on steam to give my friends a good laugh aswell or for myself to go back to them after years and laugh again.

Up to this date I don't understand why people make a big deal about WORDS. As if words can magically become reality

Why not better, devs delete chat from the game? This would better avoid insults.

I wouldn't like that because I always like to give newer killers I face tips or just to say ggs.

  • He would become deadlier against newer players, but experienced players could still loop and drop the pallets. I think that this could be a nice iri addon if you ask me, but base kit? I wouldn't think so. He would be a lot more fun to play yeah but survivors would think that he would be too strong.

  • As a survivor main I agree, I always try to be nice at the end of the game bc I know how killers get insulted every second game. I hope they will do something to prevent this in the future.

  • I agree, they really need to make better perks. (Mostly for Killer)

These tips actually helped a lot! Thanks for your advice on ranking, that stresses me out the most.

Same here! It stresses me out too. I played the game for 257 hours and feel bad that I never got to Rank 1. But I realized that the ranking system itself is just completely broken. And if someone is unfriendly in the endgame chat just laugh at it! They are just complaining because you were better than them. That's entitled survivor mains for ya! And pls take a break from the game if it affects your mental health. It can be only for a day or so but pls stay safe :) Have a nice day!

  • @LordRegal said:

So I have, currently, three and two half killers I consider myself "actually belonging in red ranks" with. I would love to add another few killers to that arsenal, but because of how soft rank reset is now, it is no longer possible to do the old "wait for reset and then learn the new killer"...even if matchmaking was functioning properly, rank 5 doesn't give me anything whatsoever in regards to easier games while I pick up new killers. As much as I love my Wraith, Legion, Hag, fledgling PHead (who I learned when no one knew how to play against him so he's exempt,) and retired Nurse, I would enjoy being competent with some other killers.

Since reset I've not touched any of the ones I'm comfortable with, opting instead to try Pig, Demo, Deathslinger, and Oni. And it's been consistent "Brutal Killers" earned through fundamentals than having any real chance to actually learn their power. I'm a decent killer when it comes to fundamentals, I have to be to be good with Wraith. So I make up for my lack of understanding the other killers' powers by knowing how to run tiles, how to mindgame, etc. But forget using their powers with a shred (sometimes literally) of effectiveness. I'm stuck at rank 5 because I'm doing well enough through general killer knowledge to scrape that. But it's extremely frustrating trying to learn where the shot goes for slinger, how to aim Demo's shred without whiffing like a moron, how to do the extra Pig mindgames, and how the hell to turn like a half decent Oni when you get nothing but survivors who know what they're doing against those killers. My best Oni game was a 4 stack full blendette (changed at the last second) squad that was just absolutely painful with a 2/9 count on good power usages because I straight up am not gud with his power yet.

I don't really know what the solution is except to make the rank reset harsher again, but I know they won't do that. I guess this is a cry to the devs to please do what it's rumored you're doing with MMR making it killer specific (thus why the PTB wouldn't let you swap killers once you started queuing up)...because a single pool for the entire roster just absolutely is discouraging me at least from actually taking the time to learn killers outside the ones I already know how to play.

Edit: for clarity, I do have all of the adept killers, but on a lot of the ones I'm not good with it was pretending they don't have a power. Oni's game that I got the adept I used his power once and it was to guard the exit gates against the last person. I know how to play powerless killers well. But using them effectively while not boring myself to tears is another thing entirely.

I made an post with a solution! Training for newer Players.

Lol. Guy said he is OP when Clown is second lowest bottom tier killer after The Legion

Well for me he is definitely the weakest of them all. Legion is fast at getting players insured while Clown... Throws Bottles at trees

  • @Maperson said:

He Is op... Maybe they should make him slower when throwing bottles?

    Pls say sike

  • Ok first ggs on getting a 4k with my boy Clown

I agree with this post 100% As a survivor main i don't get insulted like that, but I see how Killers get insulted and it always hurts me just as bad as the player who received those insults. I always try to be friendly in the endgame chat but still. Tbh I would like to see some kind of "word blocker" XD And I'm sorry that you got insulted like that. Hope this doesn't affect your mental health :) Have a nice day

  • Ok i would love this Idea! This would make the perk really fun to play

  • @steponmeadiris said:

I learned the basics of the game by watching YouTube videos (I recommend int3r4ct's guides for the individual Killers) and playing with my friends in custom games. It helped me learn the layouts of the maps, as well as learn how to use the individual Killers' powers and how to "mindgame" during chases. If you have any friends who play DBD, you could ask them to teach you.

If none of your friends play DBD, and if you're comfortable with talking to a stranger, I'd be willing to help you out! Just shoot me a message or comment or whatever, and we could try to coordinate a custom game where you can explore the maps, learn, and test tactics :) I've got a few hundred hours of Killer, so I might be able to teach you something worthwhile.

Thx I would love to! My steam Friendscode is 454283668. If anyone else wants to play too feel free to add me there :)

  • @Dwinchester said:

Every day I see someone complaining that this killer or that killer perk is overpowered and needs to go. Let me lay down the harsh truth for you as someone that plays both sides.

Survivors have the advantage in this game, not killers.

Objective times are heavily slanted in survivor favor, they're capable of being done in under 4 minutes. The numbers favor you, 4 survivors to a single killer.

Information is also survivor sided. You see in 3rd person, you have a 32m head start on the killer, you know which way the killer is facing at a loop. You also know when you're hexed. Add in swf and you get even more info. Meanwhile killer is crippled by awful fov and deafening chase music.

Perk strength is heavily slanted to survivors. Look at prove thyself vs thanataphobia, one grants 40% faster gen speeds, the other gives 16% slowdown. Don't get me started on object, ds, dh, unbreakable, spine chill, and soul guard.

Map strength is in your favor. Killer has like two maps that are strong, survivors have the rest.

Rng is in your favor. Kobe's, trap escapes, map offerings, hook spawns all trend toward survivors.

Finally, matchmaking is in your favor, there's far more yellow rank killers facing red rank survivors than the reverse.

So basically what I'm saying is that no killer or killer perk is overpowered. If you're losing, you only have yourself to blame. You have every advantage handed to you and can win 95% of your matches if you're a top team. It's ok to be less than a top team, but when you ask for killer nerfs, you're widening the gap at the top.

As a survivor main who wants to start killer, i completely agree. Firstly the killer has to face 4 individual players and needs to outsmart them. Second the perks... It's just so sad. Just looking at both side you will notice the problem of the game. The survivors have it too easy! And the devs treat them as their newborn babies. "Look my little Dwighty boy this killer Has a Hex totem! You should search for it. Oh, btw its Hex Ruin ;) Oh and btw Can you see this little red circle around your teammate's icon? This means you play against a Ghostface! So pls watch out so that you won't get stalked :D But spinechill will help you with that." Survivors get soo much info while Killers have to hope that survivors make mistakes.

  • I would like to see a Fnaf Chapter. I think Springtrap would be awesome to play against! Like, imagine if you just heard metallic footsteps coming closer and closer. I would love it!

  • To play against Trapper. Its just soo ######### frustrating to be the last ducking survivor just to run into that ONE trap he placed 10 hours ago

To play as: 1st Clown 2nd Nurse and third Doctor Clown is just a losing simulator or dbd on impossible mode. I want to main Nurse in the future, but right now it's just difficult man... I'm mentally not prepared xD And Doctor is just sooo boring! I win every game and its not satisfying at all

Not really the point I was making. I only asked. Thoughts on the idea. Not that it would happen. Obviously

You asked I answered. Will probably never happen and that's that. Obviously

  • I think Behavior said that there won't be a dbd 2 because they want to focus on Dead by Daylight :)

  • Ok, I love the perk spine chill but I have to agree with this post. Spine chill destroys stealth killers! And even if you don't have spine chill you can hear the footsteps of the killer so you can still counter an approaching Ghostface xD

  • Well playing Clown is like playing dbd on very hard mode. gl my guy

  • @thrawn3054 said:

I wish there was a training ground. If would be alot easier. What I would suggest in the interim is farming games. Once the survivors realize you aren't trying to kill them they'll usually go along with it.

By doing this you'll get them to not rush through the game. This gives you time to play with the killers power. To help get a feel for it. I've found most survivors are willing to help you with this. You can even message them in the pregame lobby to let them know what you're trying to do.

This is not foolproof. And it won't completely replace the experience you gain from playing a real game. But I do believe it to be a viable training method.

Wow I didn't even think about that! Thanks for the suggestion :)

  • @hahadrillgobrrr said:

You don't need to apologise for english not being your native language. However, you could paragraph your post so it is easier to read.

As for the topic, training ground would be nice for people who don't want to hop in to a match cold with new killer. Not all have friends who are down to play KYF so it can be quite harsh to just hop in to a match learning new stuff. Especially with the current matchmaking.

Thank you! I will paragraph next time!

  • I love this! lets hope the devs see this :)

  • @Momentosis said:

    That's the general consensus.

Killer has advantage at low ranks cause survivors dont know what to do.

Sutvs have advantage at high ranks cause they pretty much control the pace of the game.

    I completely agree with this.

But, that’s literally every single multiplayer game. It’s like on The Last of Us, when I’m against a lobby of new players I will absolutely destroy them. To the point they won’t even get a single down or kill. That won’t be fun for them, but it’s how you learn how to be a good player. Everybody starts somewhere. I’ve just never played a game where I’ve been in a lobby with people all at the same rank. I’m almost certain that most people complaining don’t play other online games as this is normal. The Last of Us, Friday the 13th, GTA5, COD etc. It’s always a rainbow of ranks.

That's your opinion, I think that it's not fun playing against players with 1k hours when I only have 253h ingame. But I know where you are coming from. Have a nice day!

  • Well, dbd is a game of 4v1, and let's say the killer is completely new and plays against Rank 4 Survivors. The survivor's ofc destroy the killer. The survivors probably had fun but the killer didn't. Survivors continue playing the game and the killer stops for the day and just deinstall the game. What I'm trying to say is that the game is just not fun as a newer player if you are paired up with players who are much more experienced then yourself.

  • Im sorry this happend to you and your friend! I would still recommend to say the names of the swf if they really insulted you and got you banned tho. Bc of what you say i think they probably reported you bc of something you didnt do.

  • I noticed this too while playing survivor. Teammates just randomly dc and the killer takes advantage of that.

  • I like the ideas 2 4 7 and 8 but the others need some rethinking :)

  • I agree the developers need to make a completely new ranking system.

  • I completely agree with you on this topic. I play on Pc and the same thing occurs. They need to fix this or else new players will leave the game.
