KEEP IN MIND I AM A LOW RANK SURVIVOR AND MOSTLY PLAY KILLER SO YEAH.
If you want I would like to see what real survivor mains lists would look like
How are the Twins not C tier and below? They are literally so unfun IMO.

Speak for yourself. Once The Twins bugs were fixed, I bought the DLC and was pretty happy with the killer. I can say that they are one of my favorite killers so far and I am not alone. The Trickster on the other hand, even though I don't like his design, a lot of people enjoyed him and I get that the devs would like the idea of kpop idol in the game to get attention.
I'm one of those people who enjoy Trickster. I know he's underpowered and needs some kind of buff, but he's a lot of fun to play. I'm also able to get Merciless with him, so it is possible to do well with him even now.

Lol, I was just going to say. 50% of my lobbies have included blue Yun-Jins including me.

So my main killer is Blight, and usually I win a ton of games with him and have a ton of fun with him.
Today? Nah, today has been absolutely horrendous. Almost every game i've felt completely helpeless, i'm lucky if I even get two kills and i've experienced so much toxicity from having to tunnel and camp to even feel like I can stand a chance. Map offerings, SWFs, constant meta crutch perks, I felt so helpless.
This has been the most unenjoyable experience in the past 6 months of playing DBD and I will most likely quit if MMR does end up becoming introduced permanently.
I disagree. The point of testing the MMR, in my opinion, was to try playing multiple characters. I played characters that I normally play and I got matchmade with decent Survivors because I can secure a 4k a decent amount of the time. Then I switched to a killer that I haven't played in probably over 6 months and got easy survivors. The situation is that if you are good at a specific killer and can 4k a great majority of the time, you will get really challenging survivors as that killer.

Here's the thing: The Devs probably released Trickster in the PTB the way they did to guage how they need to buff him. When you think about it, Trickster could be buffed in so many different ways (like for example movement speed, knife hit counts to injure, knife accuracy, recoil, Main Event activation, etc). To jump to the conclusion that this is a money scheme or they don't care about their newest Killers being viable is too extreme. By no means is the Trickster in his final version in PTB. Plus, they probably didn't release a more updated version of him for the PTB similar to Blight. He's probably already stronger behind closed doors. Regardless, I'm really excited for the new chapter!

Always a new chapter will come I‘m very excited for the content, characters, perks AND MAP...
With the blight chapter we got no new map, what was very sad and a lot of player were disappointed!
So why they do it again?? I know about the graphic updates for other maps, but a new map is be part of a new chapter 😭
I'm absolutely disappointed about the lack of a new map, but I understand what the deal is. In my opinion, Chapter 18 could've really used a new map for two reasons. One: the Killer looks really bland in my opinion. Charlotte just looks like an impoverished French woman with a hole in her chest. If she had a map release alongside her, then maybe she would have this really cool setting that would allow her to stake a claim in Dead by Daylight because right she's just a woman with a sickle to me. Two: does ANYONE realize how much potential this new map could have had? Like seriously, following their backstory, this new map could have taken place in the streets of Paris or the outskirts of the city or even the Parisian sewers that could have connected to the catacombs! That stuff sounds so sick! (This is without mentioning that we haven't had a new map since June)

Serious question.
I've found more and more, my games are won or lost within 5 minutes... and more and more, I find myself not even bothering to waste time kicking gens. Each game I play seems to depend on me being able to snowball - it doesn't matter what happens with gens, whether I get 3 hooks before they complete 1 or 1 hook when they complete 3... the only thing that matters is winning 1 chase, preferably quickly, while chasing them to the right part of the map where they have to choose between gens and rescuing, and then forcing trades.
In light of this, kicking gens feels like a waste of time.
Am I misplaying this? How do killers feel about the current pacing of the game at present. As a note, I typically don't run gen regression, as I don't have Pop (though I'm working on it, got Clown this weekend) or Undying. Without Undying, Ruin always goes quickly as savvy survivors Ruin check their gen and quickly make finding it their priority. So, I recognize I'm essentially playing with 1 hand tied behind my back already.
I heard from Umbra that a gen regresses 1% every 4 seconds so it's absolutely not worth it if the Survivors are just going to tap it immediately. The only time it will be useful is when you can guarantee a Survivor will not be around to tap it for a long period of time.
Besides that, I recommend kicking gens pretty often when using Surveillance without Ruin.

Played for a pretty long time, not very good (12) or competitive.
Seen lots of people complaining about teabagging and is calling someone trash. I wanted to offer a different view because with my friends it's totally different. We do it to mean hi, thanks for the heal, GG - anything but it's always a positive. Its pretty funny in such a serious game having a lil bounce.
People will argue about not liking perks, tactics like genrushing and killers v survivors but in reality we are all playing the same game and trying to have some fun. Sadly many killers have turned off messages so I don't get the chance to say GG (tried to message a dude who took out the whole squad in under 2 mins, that was impressive!) would be nice if our alternative meaning caught on and we tackled the toxic attitudes in our community with positivity.
So next time you see a tbag, may just be me saying hey, GG
I only teabag other Survivors. Knowing what it's like being teabagged as a Killer and playing against Killers who've had a rough match, the last thing I would want to do is anything that looks like an "FU" or "Haha, you suck." For some people, that ruins their day.
The only exceptions I have where I teabag the Killer is if they've actually played scummy, like "I'm out to ruin people's day" scummy, or I'm in a 4 person SWF on Dead Dawg where all of us are the exact same Nea and we go in the one window room and hide until the Killer finds us.

What's that one thing you want, but don't think the devs would ever implement?
I would love more dynamic maps like, for example, a map with a river running through it or like a cave system or just more elevation with the landscapes.

So the logic is: The event wasn't as exciting as I had hoped, so I am now mad at the devs. To spite them I will not buy cosmetics I was previously fully planning to buy and/or stop playing the game... and that's supposed to be the case for enough people that no one is going to have these skins and the art team is going to feel let down?
Some people might feel that way but this is very exaggerated lol. It's definitely not an exciting event, but unless you're having the frame rate issues that some on console are the game is pretty much the same as ever. Only real differences are the new rift and more BPs available in matches, which are both positive changes.
THANK YOU
I'm on PS4 and I'm experiencing issues so I can't really enjoy the event fully right now, but there is no reason for everyone else to be complaining this much. The new skins are great and if I want one, I will buy one. It's not that serious especially since some are still attainable with shards AND if you get the Rift, that's 1000 AC for playing the event, doing challenges, and enjoying the game. The only thing I wish was happening is the event currency in the Rift like Tome 1, but it's an "Oh well" not "I'm quitting the game over this."

I agree that a half an hour match should not occur, punishing everyone shouldn’t be the case. I think instead, at the start of a match, a timer is set for 31 minutes (additional minute is to compensate for the 10-20 second period of looking around for each player). After the timer has ran out, the end game collapses occurs and the exit gates are powered. One, both parties get to keep their blood points, and two the survivors get a chance to escape while the killer has a chance to kill them all since all they need to do is patrol gates instead of seven generators that were left untouched. Neither side is penalized and can move on to a hopeful better game but also have the number of blood points possible drastically decreased.
I like your idea, but I have to disagree with the end game collapse and the gates being powered after 31 minutes because Survivors can still wait for that instead of doing gens which will make 30 minute games more common because they can avoid doing objectives. I think that at 30 minutes, there should be a collapse that lasts probably around 3 minutes, but if there was one gen left or even three, they still have to do them and then power a gate. This way it's not like a key where survivors can avoid completing objectives and still win.

No, that does nothing. Anything you feel is placebo. The way PS4 works is that games render at a set resolution (usually 1080p with no option to change it) and unless the game gives you an option to do so changing your resolution through the system does nothing to improve performance.
I agree. I tried it just now for a Killer match as Nurse, it does nothing to help the framerate.

how is it for everyone else? really not looking forward to the event tmrw if this is how the game is playing on ps4...
It's so awful for me. I've played both Killer and Survivor today. The frames and lag are so awful that it is on the verge of unplayable. As Survivor, if I get hooked a second time, I die, no matter what, because the constant frame droppage and lag spikes causes the game to think that I stop struggling for a second. As Killer, specifically Nurse today, I literally land on top of Survivors, I swing, and they don't get injured. Another thing with the frames in general as Killer, they're so bad that I literally have lost sight of a survivor that is right in front of me. It's been absolutely irritating today because I just want to play around with the changed perks and new MacMillan but the fundamental mechanics of the game has failed me numerous times. This needs fixed ASAP especially since there's a new event starting tomorrow. (Gurl, I really needed to rant about this)

After having a losing streak as killer and seeing many survivors with BT/DS/Deliverance etc, I realized that these are all perks that revolve around the hooking mechanic. Knowing this, I decided to never hook survivors until everyone is slugged and/or have the survivors die from bleeding out, because those perks would never work unless I hook them. I started to see more success in my games, but after matches, survivors would start to call me toxic for not hooking them and keeping them slugged the entire match, and it was my "responsibility" to make the game fun.
Although I've been winning more matches for not hooking all survivors until they are all slugged, am I a toxic killer for doing this strategy? Is this a bannable/keeping the game hostage?
Perks I run:
- Hex Undying
- Hex Ruin
- Hex Haunted Ground / Deathbound
- Deerstalker
I think you are denying yourself a more fun, interesting, and interactive match everytime you slug everyone until they're all down (plus, the Survivors will not want to cross paths with you again after the match). No one wants to play a game of crawling on the ground because a Killer is too scared of the perks that someone may or may not have. Plus, Killers can easily play around the perks easily (besides the DS Unbreakable combo).

i dunno what it is about crossplay or which platform is using it, while i know all platforms have people that use it its been so very common since being matched with PC,PS4 and switch and quite often it results in them just selfcaring most of the game even if sloppy/thana is a thing. most games im being 2/1 hooked because players are hiding and healing themselves... im not being funny im a rank 1 versing rank 1 killers, hows this so common? Honestly these sort of games are very boring and annoying, can we maybe remove selfcare awarding BP etc. to try discourage it? i wouldnt normally mind people using different perks but this one is just halting games to where half the team isnt doing anything to progress the game and makes the game itself pretty pointless loading into.
I mean, I'm on PS4 and using Self-Care... but also I've been using Desperate Measures and Botany Knowledge with it... and I try to find a medkit in chests in the trial, so... Am I a problem?

I don't really think he needs a change in my opinion. As a killer, he's fun to play as and as survivor, he's fun to play against, in my opinion (because I don't rely on second chance hook perks). I like that he's a strong killer because the game needs strong Killers at its current state. In regards to the M2/M1 switch, it doesn't really matter to me because he literally is an M1 killer at 4.4 speed until he swings. The hit or hit aspect of him is kinda up to survivor positioning and anticipation. He won't be able to have that situation if a survivor for example throws a pallet earlier at a jungle gym instead of trying to loop. He either has to break it or try and get a ranged hit which could go in either person's favor.

I'm kind of concerned that, with the chapter releasing on Tuesday, we haven't heard about any changes to The Blight. Or have I missed an announcement about them?
Well, based on the spotlight trailer, his power is the same as the PTB and I heard that the PTB was an old build and that they already had polished him up more. I'm assuming that they've cleaned up the clunk without a doubt. Now I'm just excited for the release.

Over weeks, maybe several month, I noticed that killers use Corrupt Intervention in average ~50% or more in the matches, I play. Mostly combined with Pop Goes the Weasel.
And I have to say, that it starts to gets annoying.. and boring to play against the same killer perks again and again. I am very happy to know that the devs track the perk ususage of all perks in the game (surv + killer) and that they might notice the overusuage of Corrupt Intervention in the near future.
I don't care about anyones opinion about genspeed. Because depending on which side you stand (surv, killer, both), you mostly will not argue rational, but rather shout out what you think.
I really hope that the devs react faster in the future when it comes to over but also underusuage of perks. We have so many different perks, but the most of them never get picked. That's sad.
I personally don't have a problem with Corrupt Intervention, but I have a problem with Pop Goes the Weasel. I'm a solo queue or duo queue Survivor, so I'm never part of a toxic SWF and I don't use the meta perks often because I find it boring and I know that doesn't make it a fun experience for Killers. Anyway, I ran into the problem where every Killer I faced had PGTW and supplimented it in place of playing skillfully and crutched on it. It became so incredibly boring and aggravating because it was like each Killer was the same despite their power. Not every Survivor can loop for a long time (including me) so the Killers would get a quick down while I'd almost get a gen done, come directly over to kick my gen, leave, quickly down somebody else, and come kick it again, chase me, down me and then kick it again. At that point, I just kinda am over the game and want to move on. But what is even worse is when Killers go out of their way just to pop a gen, even if there are two Survivors actively wanting to chase and it would be in the Killer's best interest to chase them, but they instead go and kick the same gen for the third time when it's at 15% progress. I absolutely despise it when Killers play like that.

Hello fellow survivor mains. I am a survivor main myself and I just wanna say, Let's try to be nicer to the killers who aren't toxic. Ik Both sides of the game have some Toxic People, but to the people who aren't toxic and just are trying to play, Let's try and be nicer to them. Especially if they are newer to playing killer and Don't know what they are doing. Let's try and be kind people to one another. And Ik ik, some killers have certain playstyle's they like that we don't ,but we do as well; have playstyle's we like but they dislike. Let's try and remember that at the end of the day we all Play this game to have Fun. So yeah, Love y'all and be safe out there during these Hard times ✌
OMG gurl, you are like my favorite person on this forum now. I'm probably 60% Survivor and 40% Killer. I always try to give positivity to other players who really deserve it. Sometimes I don't play my best as Killer and most of the time I get treated awfully when that happens.
-
If they do it and it's not Trixie Mattel, I would be very upset lol. She's really the only drag queen candidate for a Survivor because she's a huge fan of the game and it wouldn't read as a publicity stunt or whatever but a DLC like Ash, Bubba, or Ghost Face.
But, honestly, I don't really think a drag queen would really fit into the game just as a character they created. And by the looks of it, a lot of people are uncomfortable by the idea (come on guys, it's not that serious). Plus, Corset + Heels + Wig + Tuck + Urban Evasion = Pain lmao
-
For me, personally, I like to change it up a lot because I also play as Killer, and since I have problems with my rank and matchmaking putting me with Survivors far beyond my skill level, I have moments after matches where I see nothing but red ranks and all the meta perks and I'm just like "...really? Was all that necessary?" so I have sympathy for the Killers I face lol. Also, I get really tired of using those perks. I've found that the most fun perk for me is Autodidact because it's more challenging to use and has more of a satisfying payoff when I do use it. At this point, I only really use perks like DS and BT when I play with my friends because I'm at red ranks usually and they are usually at yellow and gray ranks so there's a big chance that we get paired with a camping/tunneling Killer.
