Can we select a few killers to not verse?

now that theres 44 killers can we finally have the option to ban killers and prevent certain ones from queing?

if a survivor doesnt wanna play against a certain killer theyre not gonna play and thats that, for example if i load in and see its a Henry then im gonna run into the killer and go next, its simply not worth me investing my time in a match i know is not gonna be enjoyable.

99% of games have stuff like this

  • You realize they did a whole thing for a good while on trying to disincentivize the go next mentality, right? If each surv had a single killer 'ban' this would destroy the queue times and disproportionately help coordinated groups.

Though, actually, I'd be all for this if soloQ players got a 'killer ban' they could opt into, but you lost the ability entirely if queued with a group in a SWF scenario. That may be reasonably balanced. In fact, I think I rather like that idea. SoloQ'ers need more oomph to help them out.

  • This is still a hard no, and it will never happen.

No one would ever find a match as Nurse, Blight or Ghoul. And a 4 man SWF could nix the top 20 killers.

  • It would make a lot more sense to actually identify why a lot of people don't like playing against certain Killers and addressing their pain points rather than borking queue times and mmr even harder. Playing in a variety of different scenarios that may not always hold your hand and kiss you on the forehead is a part of the DBD learning curve and if you're willing to ruin other people's games simply because you don't like how a given Killer plays means you probably shouldn't play Survivor or even the game at all (do you think Killers like playing into certain perks or maps all the time?).

  • The problem with this is permutations. E.G it sounds like you are picturing it solely from a "I want to ban these 2-4 killers". But in a 4 survivor match that is 4 * (2-4) = 8-16 killers banned. That is a LOT of the roster. Add in queue dodging and MMR matching and it turns into a total rats nest of "what is your queue time going to be based on you and your teammates bans, as well as the current snapshot of killers in queue (E.G. What if you have a ghoul banned but there are 15 killlers "waiting" but they are all ghouls? What happens then?)"

If killers want the option to have brainless and op ranged killers like the first and vecna 2, where's the survivors option to not play against the brainless and op killers?

…aren’t the first and Vecna 2 the same guy?

  • Sorry Judgement and vecna2 that was meant to say

Judgement has the highest skill ceiling and a high skill floor, Henry has a decent skill ceiling/floor and both requiring good prediction form the killer, so idk where you got the "brainless" from. There are stronger killers than both of those killers which are low A tier.

Do you wanna talk about "brainless" stuff on survivor side?, or are you going to say there's none...

I'll make you a deal. You can choose to opt out of lobbies containing a handful of killers if I can opt out of lobbies containing SWFs.

If you think they aren't brainless you are coping or don't understand what makes a killer skillful.

Just because judgements power is awkward to use, doesn't mean it's difficult to use. 2 different things.

Why did it take me about 5 games to learn both of these killers? Since then I've had no problem destroying literally every lobby with only 1 perk on. Meanwhile it would've taken me at least 500 games to learn blight sufficiently, and thats a killer even the best players are still learning things on.

  • I made a post like this before and yes I agree with you we need the option to opt out of killers we dont like going against. Someone said look into why people dont like those killers as well and yes that should be done. We need killer nerfs if you don't think so stop playing killer and go against the strongest killers as survivor every single match which then make the game boring and cause many people to go next which yes ruins the game for others. but you guys for some reason think that the game is survivor sided and it is not. The worst thing bhvr put into the game was huntress as it caused many other ranged killers which do not make the game fair. If we can be hit from miles away I should be able to insta heal as well then. Aura reading perks are also a problem and yes get rid of them for survivor too because we honestly dont need them and if we want DBD to be fun again that would be a huge start because It actually took skill to play both sides back then. Now the game is made easy for killers. Survivors have it really rough but many of you don't play as survivor enough to understand how hard it is to play survivor now. I do play both sides and I do not struggle at all playing killer and most games are 3-4ks unless I let them go because i feel bad knowing how hard survivors have it. And thats playing killers like trapper and ghost face without using his power. I hate instadowns so i wont even use them as survivor it takes the fun out of the chase. Anyways we do need some sort of restrictions on our killers we go against like looking into why we dont like going against them or even making it so we see them less in our games. I understand there are killers that everyone dislikes and it would cause killer ques to go way up but maybe bhvr should fix the problem killers then so we once again see other killers than the top 5 OP killers.

  • if survivors can choose one killer each they don’t want to face, then 4 survs in a lobby can ban 4 different killers (abusable in swf kinda) and know they won’t face them. Then as killer I should have the option to choose 4 perks I don’t want to face, that would be bad if killers don’t want to face a perk you like using huh?

Killers and survivors can play whatever they want, they both payed for the game, characters and cosmetics (if something is unbalanced or unfunny it’s BHVRs fault in designing it).
If for example this change gets through and no one wants to face ghoul, but as killer I bought the character and now I can’t find lobby’s at all. Kinda dumb situation since I payed for my character and can’t play it.

This deal is a good one. But it will never happens neither so whatever. Nice try tho'

Technically, the timer gives a good indication to anticipate it. If 15 ghouls are waiting, queue time will be higher. If it's too high for them, they just have to switch to another killer. Ghoul killers should adapt their playstyle to the requests too, they can do it.

unfortunately the go next mentality will no go anywhere as long as people are forced to play matches they dont wanna
