Fixing Do No Harm and Flow State
Both Do No Harm and Flow State are nice perks that get overshadowed by other similar perks. The reason why is simple, they just don't work sometimes, and especially for Flow State which I honestly like a lot already, they are useless at the beginning of the game. Which again, really hurts for Flow State because one of its effects is to cleanse totems faster, but if you're at 5 gens why would the totem speed matter at that point?
Do No Harm: doesn't work on anyone who hasn't been hooked. Has the same speed as Botany on a one hook survivor. Has the same heal speed as We'll Make It on a death hook survivor. If you want consistency, Botany will always be better. If you want the 100% heal speed more often, just use We'll Make It. And let's face it, the small increase in great skill check progress doesn't make a huge difference when you only get on average one per heal.
Flow State: does absolutely nothing at the beginning of the game, totem cleansing speed is most helpful early to mid game (besides NOED), but early game you get no speed and mid game you probably only get about 30%. If you want heal speed, again just run Botany or We'll Make It. If you want the combo of unhook speed and healing, you will get much more consistent value out of Desperate Measures, and No One Left Behind is twice as powerful as Flow State in endgame. Finally, if you want totem cleansing speed, Counterforce starts with 25% off rip, and increases by 25% every time you cleanse.
My proposal: give each perk a little boost to start with. Do No Harm can have a 20% healing speed increase on 0 hooks. That way while still less consistent than Botany and you won't be getting as fast of heal speeds as often as We'll Make It, you'll always have a bit of heal speed and on death hook survivors you'll heal faster than We'll Make It. I'd say the same 20% from the start for Flow State, but maybe that would be too much and would start pushing its competitors out especially at full stacks being 70%? What do you all think

I think botany overshadows a lot of healing perks because its a passive AND flat 50% healing speed to anything (healing others, self heals). I think bringing back the medkit penalty will do it justice
Maybe botany and we'll make it need a nerf instead :) I'm almost sure that Botany will be one of those perks to be nerfed in big midpatch because any new healing perk will be neiche pick because of botany or we'll make it. Botany works all the time, it can be 20 % and still be very good, We'll make it can be 75 % and still be decent while do no harm would shine when someone is closer to death.
Botany is just too good to beat.
No activation condition, not based on a timer, applies for ALL types of heals…
Realistically, it needs to be nerfed or reworked in some form to make other healing perks more viable, as buffing other healing perks just makes them too strong.
Agree. Fe. when fully healing yourself or anyone else, their aura is revealed to all players for 6s. This would be insane info perk that would work well with solo q.
I love flow state for boons which are irritating to get rid of late game, I always have one up coz of how much time it cuts off a bless when I reach 30 percent, it's nice. Plus I also get to heal others faster and unhook faster in the late game.
Flow isnt a terrible perk, its Boon side can be super useful especially with a late game expo, plus imo it beats no one left behind as you still get a slight boost to your heal/unhook speeds throughout the entire match versus it being saved for egc.
But if you purely want smth for heals, it cannot beat botany.
I'd really like if Flow State affected chest unlock and rummage speeds. It's close to being the Fire Up equivalent for survivor but I feel like it's missing that. Obviously I get why it doesn't work on exit gates since there'd be no point in Wake Up if it did, but anyway Flow State just feels a tad undertuned, it is nice for getting rid of NOED though
Is there even a point for Wake Up now? Tbh flow state should do more.
Flow State is not bad for relighting Boons, which you will do more often with Boon: Steadfast. But because it is tied to gens being completed, it means you will only get full value in an average 50% of matches. I would rather bring an extra boon instead.
I'm still mildly annoyed at the Wake Up nerf, but honestly as long as you aren't the last survivor it isn't a bad perk. The extra gate opening speed makes a difference more often than you'd think, and I have a really bad habit of forgetting where the exits are and it helps with that lol
Sizzling, I uh… appreciate the hope? But let's be real here. Wake up is trash, the amount of times opening a gate slightly faster pales in comparison to the amount of times running anti tunnel, gen progression, healing, or even sole survivor will save you.
