Killer power design tier list

Based on how fun it is to play with and against the killer, and how balanced the concept of the killer, as well as how much balanced it is with anti loop and map pressure. No artistic design is included here

Kaneki isn't lower because even tho the is annoying to play against with the best movement in the game, he is one of the most fun killers to play with. But yeah his design is pretty mediocre (gameplay wise, not artistic design)

There are things to argue about Oni being a killer that punishes the whole team for individual mistakes, but I don't see that as a big issue on a tall killer that has only a M1 attack in early game.

I actually love Blight's power concept, the pinball mechanic is genius, but the devs refuse to properly balance him. To put in perspective, before the recent nerfs, he was the undisputed strongest killer in the game, better than even nurse, and if you removed 1 charge from his power making it 4, it probably would still be stronger than nurse, if not he would easily be number 2, even with a 20% nerf to charges. With the new nerfs, he is still a big problem because the dashes in itself are the problem, not his walking speed. That's why people said it is not gonna change much, he is still number 1/2 strongest killer in the game.

The Dredge just felt like the devs want to do a filler chapter and they asked to chatgpt what to do.

The Knight is a zoning merchant, genuinely mediocre to play against and mediocre to play with. His whole kit is defined by the word mediocre.

Nurse is doomed to be op because of her power design. Nerfing it is at risk of making her useless and actually hard to play, since her map pressure is purely based on how fast you can end chases, for she has no map presence (apart from maps with 2 floors, in that case she thrives, which makes it an even worse design). Phasing through walls is usually never gonna be a good a idea unless it is a purely movement ability.

Myers power change felt like they stripped his identity as a killer, it felt like they were just making another generic dashslop. He is stronger than he was, but he keeps being the same uninteractive killer, with the only difference that now youre gonna have to chuck a lot more pallets against him.

Huntress would be higher was it not for the Iri Head prox camping strat that completely destroys solo queue matches.

Comments

  • Definitionally shouldn't mediocre be above bad?

  • Blight was not the "undisputed" strongest killer in the game before the nerfs

  • Billy needs to be perfect. He is loved all around by everyone.

  • This very much feels like a survivors take on killer powers. Like om sorry how is dredge the shadow entity that uses lockers and can split himself in 2 a filler character. Hes the personification of jumpscares and fear of the dark.

English isnt my first language, ig I translated it wrong

Ah okay, Mediocre means not good but not bad either like very middling and unimpressive.

Against the best survivors, he did better than nurse, that's for sure

One tournament doesnt mean much nurse is still better on more maps and has a "less" punishing power if you miss with it being on an overall shorter cool down.

I play both sides, but most of my hours were on killer. Dredge, in a killer perspective, has huge inconsistences. Maps have inconsistent locker spawns, with some parts being a total locker deadzone, while other maps might be better. Not only that, his anti loop is easily telegraphed, and his main event where everything goes dark is something that affects primarly solo queue survivors and casual players playing on a tv in the middle of the living room (the lightning will be worse). Powers like that, that punish "worse" players and does nothing against more coordinated players, is a huge flaw in design. The game by itself is already heavily swf sided, these type of killers just make the experience more discrepant

In theory you could say all that. But in practice, blight has more results in pretty much any endeavor. Maybe not anymore, but he used to.

I didnt put him in perfect because of the unfortunate slugging system this game has. He is very fun to play with and against, however, from time to time you will se a billy straight up slugging and raw dogging the whole lobby. His design allows for that because of the slugging system and the fast rotation he has around the map. But apart from that, he could even be above Oni

Fair fair, i don't encounter slugging billys that often that's why i put him there.

  • I see Oni in first row, I like

  • I used to play Dredge and though I don't think it belongs down there with Twins I agree there are a lot of issues. On killer side, the locker spawns made me stop playing it entirely. Lerys and Badham are particularly bad. There are whole areas with no lockers. Last time I attempted to play it I loaded into Badham and immediately DCed, and I probably haven't DCed more than 10 times in my whole history with the game. I just couldn't deal with it again and I probably won't play Dredge until they do something about the pain points. On survivor side, Nightfall gives people headaches so that's not great.

Yep, that sums up my feelings with this killer

  • Pinhead would be perfect if we’re only talking about SWF on comms. He’s way overtuned for solo queue who have no way of calling out who is going for box and who is staying on gens.
