It must be an MMR thing...

I've survived less than 10% of my event games as survivor.
Nothing but sweaty slugging, tunneling, trash.
If anything, it's only teaching killers how to take advantage.
Don't like instant heals, use a killer that has a debuf that prevents it.
Don't like survivor mobility, poison negates it.
Don't like invis/(still has scratch marks)/portal (you use the same pathing)/pallets (not really that helpful when it's not active most of the time).
Don't like any ability at all, use Jason.

Wow you really don't know what you're talking about.

So first of all, yes the poison is nice, but doesn't even remotely fix the difference of the event abilities.

Second invis doesn't have scratchmarks at all. But you can hear a glow-effect that's directional and see grass moving so if you play spirit turned around you can still hit people.

Third the portals are insanely annoying because you have to cancel your ability to use them as killer. Depends on the killer obviously but as nurse or blight for example you have to be stunned before, same with vecna that has to come out of his upside down or the other vecna that has to cancle flight. Also the portal are always combined with invisibilty as far as I remember so you can use that instantly and following the survivor is insanely hard then if they are far enough - also I think if you activate the big effect they turn you invisible for a few seconds by default.

Forth: my god the palettes are depending on the map the worst thing you can have against you as killer. Just drop both palettes in main at coaltower and the killer literally has to go around half the mainbuilding, or you drop both palettes (yes you can build a second one then) at a jungle jim and suddenly you have to go around the entire jungle jim. In midwich you can even be stuck for 60 seconds in theory if you don't have a teleport or something.

Also anti-heal killers are not really strong most of the time, so who cares. Also people can play against jason by now (at least some) so it's by far not this easy anymore, and the only thing he can really outplay is the invincability (that you didn't even name btw) - and it's not even only him but every rangekiller.

So you really don't have any reason to lose in this event and I honestly don't know what to tell you if your survivalrate really is under 10% except you should probably get better at the game.

SoloQ in the event is really not that strong in pratice, despite the monstrous potential. You get buffs but they're unreliable. The killer's new toy is always consistent because only one person is making the judgement of optimal usage.

That's not to say it's killer sided, but escape has been anything but easy. Gens not getting done, teammates trying to bully and being bad, taking unavoidable hits in chase without seeing table-setting value to offset this until I'm already on hook…

I also think there's a mentality amongst people playing killer in the event. Hearing from all sides that the event is literally impossible to win as killer and that all survivors playing it are going to abuse the strongest elements of the event flawlessly has resulted in some of the most aggressive play-to-win tactics I've seen.

Absolutely not, but I also don't play a killer like pig or something. Jason has a kit that's relatively good against the event even tho it isn't as insane by now as it was at the start.

Still doesn't change anything about the fact that those effects are absolutely insane, espeacially the global heal that even picks people up lol, the random sprintburst we (op and me) both forgot is also insane, the invincability would be insane with a killer not ranged or speed, the portals are annoying as hell, the palettes you can rebuild even at spots where they never where and also are industructable for 60 seconds are also insane. There is no reason, if they actually use the event.

Depends on which survivors you get, which boster they get invis or invincibility you cooked if the are good, speed boost is manegeable but still they can rush. which map like gideon with pallets and you are cooked even with bubba or billy unless you play someone who can go by the pallets.

In my experience even single duo in this event can make tables very controllable and mess with killer a lot and I have seen it both as killer and as survivor. The true bus comes later when one gen is left killers loose all their event powers and can only gain not so great effects from tables and carts while survivors keep their cakes in their hands and can gain endurence and elusive from carts which are best effects which survivor can have.

One invisiable cake and save that wouldnt be possible or easy becomes super easy, the powers survivirs have are truly over killer only thing killers can use is poison and that works well on less then half of the killer roster because m1 killers are here cursed and majority of them cant deal with pallets that are unbreakable or other stuff like poison works best with killers that effect deep wound or broken or have instadown so legion, ghoul, plague, mayers, billy, bubba are great here but killers like freddy, dreadge, sadako, pig get cooked here is survivors are decent.

Not to mention with flashlightand two perks you can have tool that outplays poison like in 4-5 chases (4-5 times used on you) which is another thing majority of survivors are clueless about because if everyone did it then killers would get like half of the value from poison which would meant more success for survivors.

SWf here is godly because coordinating with all the powers can give survivors so many second chances which in the past they could only dream about like great swf controls adrenalin but here just one or two guys can control table that gives that heal globaly not to mention I have seen in many games as survivor/killer carts with desserts spawn like 15 meters from table so just one guy can operate it super fast and spawn the effects which messes up even killers that do great in this event kile ghoul.

Of course. I'm not saying that they're wrong to do so. They can play how they want. I'm speaking from experience that if you're solo in the event, it's not a free win by any stretch and can actually feel much more difficult than 1v4 because of the general mentality people have had going into this event, and people not getting the value they need from the buffs to offset the lost gen time while collecting morsels.

Readily admit that a good SWF can exploit this event really well, but I think it's not consistent. Bad table RNG can make that hard even for SWFs, while some map/buff combos can be absolutely brutal to certain killers. It says a lot that I'm not even considering playing M1 killers in this mode despite all my most played apart from Springtrap being M1 killers.

If OP is making the point that the event is fully in the killer's favour, sure, that's not correct, however compared to how hard people are pushing the idea that the event is that one Jojo beatdown gif with the killer taking the L, the event really isn't that impossible to win on.

My SoloQ escape rate in the event is lower than 1v4.

I'm not discounting any of that. I'm just saying an event that has elements that make it harder to escape as a solo player is not mutually exclusive from an event that has really powerful tools for the survivor.

I see what you mean, I'm sure that it's much harder if you're using the event badly. Like I said, I play harder from the start so that I don't fall behind if they use it right, so I can imagine that it's pretty insane to play against that if you don't really use it.

Well op is basically just complaining that people use plaque or legion against the instaheals, that invis has scratchmarks already being wrong, that killers can use portals at all, and that the palette effect is not active enough. As if rebuilding palettes or just build entirely new ones that are industructable for 60 seconds aren't enough - especially because they stay.

I'm not saying that the event makes you lose entirely but he surely doesn't have under 10% escape-rate, he does have the tools and there are definitely people that know how to use them.

I'm not discounting any of that. I'm just saying an event that has elements that make it harder to escape as a solo player is not mutually exclusive from an event that has really powerful tools for the survivor.

I played few days as survivor mostly due to having bonus when bloodhunt bonus 2x was added to it so I had more bp.

I escaped many games and some I died but all depended on teammates like two games in the row I got same duo (I knew it by them having same characters and names as the ones from previous game) and we totaly destroyed two ghouls packed with meta both of them (ghouls) were totaly wodering what happened so it depends because swf even in just duo can totaly abuse tables to maximum value which soloq can too but its way harder.

Tbh I found best solution to abuse cakes and rush gens to 1 gen left where killers loose all agenda from event (they will loose all poison) while you can keep dessert and cakes give you endurence and elusive plus if you had modifier like invisibility or pallets with invincibility then you will have way more resources than in normal 1v4 and killer must tunnel or slug or he is cooked. Ofcourse it depends on team like mmr shouldnt work in events or be super wide, wider them in normal 1v4 so you have chance to get matched with potatoes and then its loss but same dager has killers by getting very good survivors that can be in the swf and beat them easily.

I faced mostly killers that work with poison like bubba, jason, plague, ghoul but even then I had some freddy, nemesis, springtraps but mostly it were same killers which doesnt surprise me because i play only like 10 killers too in this event, killers that can take it and work well with poison to get as much value in hooks till the one gen left situation where I loose the poison.

  • Killers figured out certain killers like legion and buba work well within the event. I've started escaping almost all of my survivor matches and now killers have adapted. I still escape more than in normal soloq, but it has shifted after both sides figured out the event.

So you're telling someone there's no reason they should be losing while you're winning on the opposite side? Does that really make sense?

This is the result of 75 matches for me so far:

    Screenshot_20260709_143517.jpg

And I'm not not even exploiting the killers everyone hopped on. The people I'm playing against are very much using the event things. That's why they're losing. They're playing with toys, trying to body block or refill tables, instead of doing gens. I had a 30 minute match last night that got down to two people jumping into portals and insthealing every time I landed a hit. They dragged it out, but they still lost. The people who have beat me during the event are the ones sitting on gens with Stakeout and Hylerfocus.

And it's kinda hard to say "use the event stuff" when it seems like most player are picking killers that mostly negate the effects. Something tells me now that the couple days of whining are over killers are doing quite well.

I'm only using the poison on food carts. I haven't even gotten the poison survivors quest done yet since I'm only using it passively. I'm playing it almost exactly like 1v4. With Dracula I've been mostly in wolf form, where the poison isn't even an option.

Yes it does make sense in the way that wrong use of the event-stuff doesn't make it less strong don't you think? I have almost 3.6k hours, I know how to outplay a lot of things, but lets be real: I won't win this game if I play on a killer that's not really strong, I also won't win this game if it's eyries and they use it right with the event-stuff, I also won't win this game if I have to loop around and entire jungle jim for 60 seconds. Sure I can leave but for what? They can waste palettes all they won't because they rebuild, so I'm probably stuck on the next loop then, sure I can also go to a gen but oh wonder they preran to the next loop that becomes impossible through the event. The sprintburst is not better and so on.

Rightly used this event simply gives a lot to the survivors to the point where they have all the tools they need. That doesn't mean that they use it right.

Not everyone in this game on the survivor side uses the event wrong, and if they don't it's not even funny how strong it is.

Sounds like a skill issue to me. I've won the majority of my event matches on both sides. Also, you don't have scratch marks while invis, just because the killer goes to the same portal as you doesn't mean it's not insanely strong, and the unbreakable pallets are literally game winning when they're active. This whole post just reads "Why am I not getting free insta wins and being able to hyper bully the killer in the event.". Just an insane amount of entitlement and lack of understanding of the other side. And yes, it is an MMR thing, because it's a skill issue.

  • It basically boils down to whether the tables spawn near the morsels. In the average match where the killer has someone hooked and another injured within 30 seconds of the match starting, before I can even make it to the central generators, I don't really have time to haul 4 morsels all by myself halfway across the map.

Is it truly that strong if I'm winning more in the mode than I do in regular without even really engaging much with poison? It's very easy to play around most of it, and to bait its usage. I don't think it took most people that long to figure out. It's that classic argument about a thing being strong if the survivors are stellar and do everything perfect.

Well in the normal mode I would win more, so Idk what exactly you do. Figure out ways to play around it is just possible if there are any.

I won't play plague (i hate her projectile so much, my god) and I won't play legion, there are people that know how to heal people midchase and other situations where it makes sense, so the instaheal isn't countered already. The portals are basically only countered by speed and ranged, you have to hope that you're quick enough to hear the invisibility fast enough so they are not gone basically after the portal. The sprintburst one simply is not counterable because I believe it's not even coupled to exhaustion, sometimes people used 3 in one chase and that was only because I was too stupid to hit my spears, as pig I would have passed away in 5 sprintburst per chase it feels like. The palette effect is not countable really except the use of the poison, clown or doctor I guess, also it depends heavely on map and loop - speed will also work. And the invincability is indeed not that strong, but then again ranged can ignore it, with an m1 killer it could be incredible annoying especially if they use it on vaults.

Well in the end I stay on my point. I'm pretty sure that the overall escaperate for survivors would be much higher in this event because of the abilities and I don't believe op has under 10%, otherwise it's really not the event because it gives you strong enough abilities for sure.

And with that I end it because I honestly don't want to discuss anymore and we won't agree anyways :D

  • It's not a skill issue. It's a math issue.
    Time vs. objective. vs alternate.
Only trolls that think this is survivor sided and are not playing survivor and facing these try hards.
Even Gen rushing is a knife edge.
    It's not fun.

I don't think you can see scratch marks while invis iirc unless they changed it in the past couple days (been out of the country) and portals can still help you get a bit of distance because the killer still has to interact with the portal so you get a bit of time to run off even though it might be a couple seconds and at the end of the day pallets are still pallets and are really useful

"Nothing but sweaty slugging, tunneling, trash."

Killers have to adapt and unfortunately as of now the adaption to survivors has been slugging, tunneling, etc. but it's the toxic cycle of this game unfortunately of Destroyed by meta > runs meta > rinse repeat.

"If anything, it's only teaching killers how to take advantage. "

I feel like most people would take an advantage in a game but are you honestly saying that if you saw a chance to escape based off a mistake the killer made you wouldn't take it and just let him kill you? So yeah if you make a mistake then the killer with prbably take advantage of it to get a down, kill, 4k, etc.

"Don't like instant heals, use a killer that has a debuff that prevents it."

Not a lot killers have basekit Broken (at least I think thats what you are referring to) but yeah Broken can be an issue but in all honesty run Vigil or in the off chance that they have perma broken unless a condition has been met (like plague) then abuse endurance or untouchable or exhaustion perks or smth because there's things you can do against broken in the event

"Don't like survivor mobility, poison negates it."

Yeah true but it's one of the few things that helps killers in the event and not all killers can just fully abuse it can you can fs just predrop or play around pallets and repair them when you get the chance but if you're in a dead zone then you can just be kinda cooked with no help

"Don't like any ability at all, use Jason."

Yeah I do agree that Jason probably needs some nerfs but I wouldn't put him in like top 5 and you could say the same about the other S tier killer or high A tier killers
