Event Mode is not that bad, People are just overeating
"the killers get nothing"
Expect they can slow survivors down with poison to walking speed, you can also poison items.
You can poison the Tables to completely ruin the set up of the table.
The one effect I will say is too much is healing when the table is done but otherwise people are blowing this out of the water. The set up on the tables also takes time away from the gens, If they are getting the tables set up they isn't pumping out gens.
I've seen many killers playing the event mode not even engaging in poison play. If you aint even attempting to use it you cant then complain you are getting nothing in the event. The Killers that do decide to actually engage in poison play do well.
You can not like that power, but it is not nothing and honestly better then what survivors got last year, just as Survivors in the past have not liked the power the event gives them.
Do survivors get the better benefits? Yes but one side ALWAYS gets the better benefits in events.
If you upset about the balance of the event and how its not even that's fine but its not a Killer v Survivor issue. happens every event this one just happens to give survivors the bigger end of the stick. Its not BHVR ignoring one side its the way events usually go.

With all due respect, and I don't want to see this turning into a KVS issue either, I feel you're being a bit unfair. I do think this event is more or less balanced for killer if you play a high tier M1 that can abuse throwing poison. That being said -
The survivors get unbreakable pallets, portals, invisibility, DH, sprint burst on eating, and more - all temporary buffs, of course. That being said the killer can poison food (Don't do that, killers, just throw it) or throw it at objects/survivors to slow them dramatically for a free hit. This is, insofar as I'm concerned, balanced gameplay wise if ripe for abuse from ill-intented SWF's trying to clip farm. And there are a great deal of bullysquads in the event clip farming out killers being blocked behind unbreakable pallets, invisibility trolled, etc.
But gameplay wise, it is fair enough I think.
The problem here that you are decrying and I feel being unfair on, is how much fun and diversity there is to the event for killers. There isn't much. I recognize there isn't much for survivor either, but there is a much more generous scope of interaction diversity and possibilities for the survivors. For the killers there is just the poison, which is very strong yes, but it's not exactly engaging gameplay.
I don't think anyone is, or rather at least I and the people I play with aren't, concerned about who gets the better benefits. That will pan out with the queue times. It's more about who gets the fun factor.
TL-DR ;
It's more or less balanced, but there's just no 'fun factor' for killers. That's what I think a lot of killers are complaining about. The 10th Anniversary isn't some random event like blood moon or chaos shuffle, it's the 10th year anniversary. People expected fun, they looked forward to being excited. Instead, they got the black banquet, massively curbed cake drops, and underwhelming cosmetics.
It's just alot for some folk.
I'm not having fun on either side. Survivor = Jason every match because he bypasses most of the food buffs and adding giga hinder on top of his kit just no.
Then I try to play Henry and start chase → instant invisible → instant teleport across the map. Like OK?? What am I supposed to be doing here?
I've played a bunch of survivor in the event and running fixated completely counters the poison. Like as long as you are good at looping or even know how to shift tech it will not affect your chases at all. However survivors or swfs can spam tables to full heal me mid chase. Its not that killers get nothing its that killer gets something that's easily countered while any relatively competent survivors literally get the hand of god if they know how to use tables properly. Which most don't but my point still stands.
They're just used to every event (and non event) being catered to their role. Countless weeks of mindless stomping, and now that they have to put in some effort, its the end of the world.
So much for killer mains are more tenacious amiright?
There is a huge difference between "remote hook", "remote pallet break" and auto-win the chase "invuln, invis, heals at random times". The equiv would be if a killer event had a "press Q while looking at a survivor in your line of sight to teleport them right into your face and melee range".
remote pallet break / abra cadabra exposed were pretty close to the same level of stupidity. but the on demand invisible into portal teleport across the map is beyond dumb
A magic insta-heal heal mid-chase .01 seconds before you M1 is not at all the same as a telepgraphed pallet break. Exposed I'll give you was dumb too, but this is that on steroids.

Like we can say one side feels unfun, without saying "why do the survivors get all this benefits"
I just want people too look at events as a whole and realize this is how they tend to go, it just tends to be the shoe on the other foot.
What about Haunted by daylight Insta downs with haunts? (not my clip used as reference) My point in thread is one side always get more of a benefit in event. this one just swayed to the survivors side.
Also stupid. My point is not "killer good survivor bad" my point, poorly communicated earlier, is these events are a terrible arms race of BS effects that only keep going up. Okay cool, survivors get all these interesting powers and killers don't. What is the next "killer sided" event going to look like? I am willing to bet money its not just the old effects and will be even more obnoxious and annoying the previous year. BHVR has an awful tracck record of just power creeping over the previous events and pushing it to live with 0 consideration which then absolute bombs the queue times after people on the "losing side" just grind out the quests/rewards. That's my real beef with this.
All the killer gets is to play Clown and deny the survivor powers.
That does't exactly scream "fun" to me.
Yeah honestly wish we got a little PTB for major events that way people are able to give some feedback before it goes to live.
People just aren't changing their builds lol. There's a lot of healing? Maybe play plague or some broken perks/addons.
I think they should have let killers keep the old event powers. Then this would have been fairer.
I played some killer yesterday, but i stopped after survivors were getting insta healed in chase, going invicible, to the point of me losing them, and tanking hits with invulnerable and extra endurance.
I was also blocked from moving with unbreakable pallets which gave them god loops i couldn't deal with.
I'll just stick to survivor in this event…
I tried with Henry as well and it was horrible. They'd just pop into a portal or zoom away the second they saw me. Then i switched to Clown and won or tied most of my matches. It really depends on the killer, especially as you start to get the hang of waiting out the endurance and invisibility. The portals are the biggest issue I'm having.
And yeah, every survivor match was Jason and they were all losses. The mode isn't really busted for survivor if 95% of the matches are against an even more busted killer.
But at least they are doing their usual movement of mass complaints. Worked a few times, might work here as well.
Personally I think it is the same like last years, only the other way around: It is only a time limited event, so it will go away rather quickly. And if you dont like it, play the regular queue. The same I did last year on Survivor, because the Anniversary Event was killer-sided, once again.
They will make a survey afterwards and then you can give your feedback.
One more thing to mention, the banquet table tile seems to be messing with gen spawns. I saw some horrific 4 gens created because the banquet tile took the place where a gen would normally balance out the spread.
Ive noticed this too.
pren asylum I've gotten a few times and its not spawning gens in the main building at all not even top gen, it would rather spawn a nasty 4 gen in the corner and put the table up top where main gen is supposed to be.
