Visuals of 8 gen kick limit on generators
Pretty simple suggestion, to add a special effect on generator which shows how many damage events happened to it by using the convenient 8 pistons on it, either like this

Naturally, some support for colorblindness would be needed for something like this.
Should probably be visible to both survivors and killer

This would be a great change. I already hate having to know whether or not I should kick a gen because its almost at its limit.
Would be a way better way to display it than the spikes. I find the spikes quite irritating since they already appear when you are quite far away from reaching the limit.
If only there was some info on how to tell via spikes at least. But honestly, the absolutely crisp sound of spikes themselves is so good I would wish they stayed even if suggestion above gets implemented

This is so much better than the current spikes. As it stands the spikes appear super early, and are not super clear when they are full.
Sure, could be a skill issue with me not keeping count super effectively, but a clear indicator would be a lovely QoL change.
I like the spikes in general. Granted, I almost never see them fully block a Gen, but I like the visuals and the sounds. But they appear after 4 Kicks or so? Which is really irritating for me, because I always think "Wait, I should not be that close to the limit" and in reality, I am not close to it.
Another advantage of the proposal would be that a Killer can see before they kick the Gen how many Kicks are left. Would help with decision making to kick it right now or maybe risk it to wait a bit longer when there is a PGTW to use on that Gen.
I would say being halfway point is quite close and makes sense they start appearing because you are going now closer to the limit than the start point.

I am pretty sure, though can't confirm, that spikes start after 4th kick and then rise higher with each kick, but even if it's true, then such system is not really comfortable fro killer, sometimes you need to look around right away instead of looking at the generator, especially if you use something like turn back the clock
