Everything about jason is great, exceot one thing.
So after a week of beong away i had finally the chance to play as and against jason.
I think hes a relly well put together killer thats bot too op.
Except for one thing...
I think the killer instinct is a bit much. It gives too much away and is not counterable.
Vompare it with killers that doe something similar: singularity needs to prime the attack first, dredge can only do it during a certain timer, xeno can only do it on specific locations.
Jason can phase walk everywhere and find any surviver everywhere. There is no searching with him, which means there is no hiding against him.
Imagine if spirit would get killer instinct everytime she jumpscares someone...
So i would remove that or bind it to some specific power related move.
But other than that, bhvr cooked with this killer!

You can crouch.
Then you lose on efficiency every time. Good luck getting the gates powered while crouching from a 12 second cooldown infinite duration power, all while dealing with the killer's selection of 4 slowdown perks since he gets everything he could want for info/chase/stealth for free or from add ons.
You can also opt to pre-run.
I hardly see anything thats great about Jason from a survivor point of view.
That doesn't solve the issue.
You'll have to pre-run every time he uses OE, which kills any efficiency. Not to mention that if he has Ruin, he'll get free regression just for being in OE.
The counterplay to him is very unique, i do agree.
Previously safe gens like the elevated gens on hawkins are actually among the unsafer ones against him.
His power demands a slow match pace and coordination from the survivors.
I agree that he's a very good killer, but i think he's fun and unique.
that add on with exhaustion has to be the most braindead add on I’ve seen since old iri head
proof that people are never happy, next killer could have a power that just makes them jump forward 5ms and yall would still complain about it
It’s a big community with thousands of different people who have different backgrounds, culture, and interests. It’s impossible for everyone to agree. The fact that some people aren’t happy isn’t proof of much. This isn’t a survivor issue or a killer issue it’s a people issue. When the new survivors comes along with their perks, we will be seeing the exact same kind of discussions, and the exact same kind of complaining.
Crouching doesnt counter the killer instinct.

I am fairly certain you can be crouch walking and not be revealed by killer instinct. My source for this is coming out of OE with someone crouch walking directly in front of me without KI on them. It does take a few seconds after crouching for the protection to kick in though. If that isn't what is happening for you then possibly a bug.

Oh so it's a time thing. I legit thought it's movement, but if i can just crawl around the map i will do that from now on.
Pretty sure ya, you still see your red footprints while crouch walking but they stop appearing after a second or two and its around the same time you become protected. At least that is what seems to be happening for me, could be missing some nuance to it though. Would be a lot better if the power description just fully laid this out.
Yes, this is how it works. You basically only see the last red footprints you created while walking/running, but once you start crouching, you dont produce anymore. Depends entirely on the time when you start crouching, if you do it a bit too late, you still see a few red footprints.
btw. absolute pro tip from my side: If you want to avoid getting Jason in your games, start running Urban Evasion. Two days ago, after 8 Jasons in a row I decided to put on Urban Evasion, just to not get Jason for 4 games in a row…
