Save the best for last doesn't need a nerf, it needs a adjustment.

What killers will do is M1 survivors that isn't the obsession and will use their power to hit the obsession, that way they do not lose stacks and always stay at 8 stacks, unless the obsession take hits while the killer is carrying a survivor.

So the way to fix this..."abuse" of the perk is that no matter how you hit your obsession you will lose stacks, other than locker grabs and vault/gen grabs.

Killers could still totally ignore the obsession but at the very least the moment they chase them they will lose stacks no matter what and not stay 8 stacks all game, and if the killer does try to avoid the obsession like the plague the obsession could do body blocks and all to take away stacks and waste the killer's time.

  • Okay, to balance it out, lets also make it gain stacks from special attacks and reduce special attack cooldowns too then.

What you're saying is only viable for a few killers anyway. No one can run STBFL with the immunity you're talking about anyway aside from Demo/Alien.

  • While I agree, I think it also needs an adjustment to 4% per token instead of 5%. The perk was mostly fine before 6.1.0 but when the basic attack cooldown got reduced basekit it kinda pushed this perk a bit over the top.

  • It's confusing, if it needs an adjustement best way is 6 stacks max, 30% reduced cooldown maximum, after 6.1 we got 2 stacks basekit

  • I don't think it needs anything. Killers who can bypass losing a stack with power hits generally want to use their powers for hits in the first place. So by forcing themselves to use m1s, they are hindering themselves.

gaining stacks from special abilities would open up the perk for S-tier killers. That would make the perk broken.

I think the perk is fine right now. Current state is ok. If anything, the perk needs soloQ buff = give information to obsession that the perk is in game once killer gets 4 stacks. That's it. Everything else is IMO fine for a very strong, but still fair perk.

that too, but doesn't fix the issue I mentionned.

    That could be too.

Out of the 3 S tier killers, only Spirit can use STBFL and she can already use it just fine.

Nurse fatigues arent hit cooldowns, nor are Blight stims. Hit cooldowns are more like Demo's Shred and Nemesis' tentacle.

  • Optimal use of a perk is not “abuse”

That term is used so loosely. God forbid somebody plays optimally.. they are “abusers”.
