"Made For This" is the most problematic perk in the game.

  • It's almost completely worthless against S-tier killers, such as Nurse, Blight and Spirit
  • It's too strong against mid tier killers, such as Hag, Knight and Deathslinger
  • It's absolutely devastating against low tier killers, such as Trickster, Legion and Wraith

Blight has an addon (Compound 33) that reduces survivor speed by 3% in a small radius for a few seconds, on top of breaking pallets 1 second quicker. It's considered extremely OP and everyone is always asking for it to get nerfed.

Survivors have a perk that increases their speed by 3% permanently on top of giving 10 second endurance on healing. Everyone is saying that it's perfectly balanced and not overpowered at all.

Compromise: Both could be nerfed. Discuss.

  • "But MFT requires skill to be used to its full potential, therefore it's ok if it's too strong."

So does Blight with Alchemist Ring.

walking in a straight line after pre-droping a god pallet to hold W into oblivion is pretty skillful - survivor mains

getting hit and covering 10% more distance with that speedbost due to how MFT is coded is a feature - MFT defenders

(for reference MFT actives as soon as you get hit , meaning that it affects your Speed boost when going from healthy to injured)

totally intented right , uh wait also works with OTR / styptic since it doesnt apply exhaustion unlike DH..welp more fEaTuReS.

the perk its fine guys dont worry , everyone just survivors are having fun with the perk, u bad killer , make preassure - Entitled players

    *sad m1 killer noises*

  • I mean... yeah. It's the same issue as most other problems with the game, which you nailed: the only ones who are really affected by it are the killers who already struggle even without it.

But knowing how the devs balance perks, it'll be four years before it gets nerfed or toned down.

  • As someone who plays a lot of Knight it barely effects me at all.

Like maybe this is a hot take but I think Resilience is much more busted in chase than MfT is. Making vaults you normally wouldn't is much stronger than having to take a few extra seconds to catch up to a survivor.

Its the combination of both that completely breaks it, the problem is that MFT in particulars screws up with killers a lot more.

Resilience still requires good pathing that gets rewarded if you do so, MFT instead compensates mistakes and outright makes good pathing even stronger.

Doctor in particular suffers intensively from this perk, that 3% is often the reason his Shock didnt stop the survivor from vaulting.

Btw has a Knight main, this perk definitely affects him, in normal chases without Guards, like everyone else, and considerably reducing the chances of Guards getting a hit, even Assassin.

I stopped expecting guards to get hits long ago unless I'm using dried horsemeat even before MfT was a thing. As long as the guards let me get a hit or occupy a survivor while I'm chasing someone else they're doing their job IMO.

I'm really am confused why people freak out over MfT so much. I mostly play m1 killers and it just doesn't bother me much. The only time MfT has been noticable to me has surprisingly been on midwich where I'm just holding W in hallways for much longer than usual and that's just pure pain, but even then I still win cuz it's midwich. Idk I do feel like coup de grace has been helping me a ton lately against MfT as you basically delete any extra distance they make with it and then some.

I think Resilience got unintentionally "buffed" with the new vault buff-- ahem, I mean fix

People have this notion that mft is worthless vs blight. 3% can mean the difference between a regular flick and a shoulder flick which is game changing, it can also make a regular flick miss by inches. Yeah it overall means less but it is nowhere near useless.

    Compound 33.

Blight is the fastest killer in the game, and even he has an addon to counter MFT.
