Lost 5 games in a row with Myers to reduce my MMR, then I face 9k-hour-players
Cool, MMR works XD. After losing for purpose (8hooks, but no one killed, so MMR should drop, right?), I get a lobby with somebody with 9.300 hours and one guy with 5.600 hours.
Why do I do that? Because I want survivors who are stupid enough to fall 4 times for the Double-Iri-Steam-Mission. In my current MMR, no one "grants" u this Adept, even if they already lost... lockers are your friend, right?
So what is this MMR-Thing? XD

the more you play the more stable your MMR is; if you were sitting at the pretty much same MMR pre-purposefully-losing for a high number of matches those five matches just didn't make a dent.
I see the same happen on surv for me a lot; I play mostly swf with the odd day of SoloQ in between and even when I lose 20+ matches in a row nothing changes; still get matches with survs and killers who got quite the hours and prestige count.
It's not unusual, sadly. The opposite happens as well. You might win a lot and get complete babies over and over.
It's a combination of population ratio between roles, soft cap and mmr range expanding with raising queue times.
5 games isn't going to put a dent in your MMR if you've played for any length of time.
Do you think winning 5 games would put you right at the top?
Even if it did, MMR is only one part of the puzzle. Matchmaking relies on who is available to match with, so a lack of suitable matches will result in an unmatched game. Plus backfilling, if anyone leaves the lobby, it scrambles to find a replacement ASAP and will drag in anyone off the street to fill that spot.
you are right. I play at least every 2nd day, sometimes surv, sometimes killer, but this one Myers-Mission is kinda impossible. Fun Fact: I already did it by miracle, but it didnt count XD. So I assume I need at least 1-2 hooks or whatever.
Depending on when you did it, if it was some time in the past 2-3 months, there was a bug where the final kill of a game didn't count. So a 4K was counted as a 3K.
If you're talking about Evil Incarnate, there's no need for hooks. You have to make sure you kill them with the Tombstone ability i.e. grab them while they're still standing which goes directly into a kill. Any other type of mori when they're in the dying state won't count (offerings, Devour, Rancor, etc.)
Yes exactly that time.
Here are my final bosses:
5 games won’t do it mate, try about 40+ to truly lower your mmr. I feel you though. Getting “evil incarnate” at a decent mmr is near impossible. I tried a couple times and they just hopped in lockers the whole time.
I've noticed when I try for my adept killer achievements I get survivors way above my skill level on killers I've never touched. Like ######### is this?
MMR is soft capped at 1600 and can pull from 1400+ if needed to reduce queue times. If you're over 1600 the only thing losing a game does is make it one game closer to going below the soft cap. Five losses probably isn't enough to make an impact.
Losing 5 games wont nuke your MMR lol
There is no match making
The concept is a lie to hide the fact the game can't and wont ever be balanced, and the sooner the dbd community accepts it the sooner everyone can move on and just play toxically until the game dies.
Mission accomplished.
Congratulations on the acheivement!
Why the ######### is there even an MMR system then if the matchmaking can just say "######### it" and ignore it entirely?
Would you prefer to wait 5-10 minutes every time someone leaves the lobby?
The Matchmaking system is this way because it was tested on live servers and this is the system everyone preferred.
They tested several combinations of time and MMR range cut offs, and just flat out no MMR at all, for a few days at a time over the space of 2-3 weeks. They kept the exact parameters secret but told us when it was changing, and gauged responses via feedback. A balance between match accuracy and wait time had to be made, and this is the one that was most favoured by players.
