7 gens instead of 5, 60 seconds to repair one instead of 80.

7 x 60 = 420 seconds, similar to 5 x 80 = 400, but better.

This change will make repairing one gen less boring bcs you’ll have to sit in one only for 60 seconds if you repair solo.

For killers this change will make Killer gameplay in huge maps much less painful!

what do you think?

Hey, the while time you'll be sitting on gens will be the same. Killers just will have more control on gens which is very needed in huge maps.

  • As a killer main, I’m gonna say hell f*cking no. One gen in 60 seconds with one survivor would mean 4 people could get one done in like 20. Now imagine if a few or all of them had toolboxes on a large map. We would have like 10 second generators. They could finished 3 of them before you even found someone. If you did get lucky enough to find someone fast then genrushing during chases would be significantly More painful. 5 minute games would become the norm. So no this would not make playing killer on large maps less painful, it would make it absolutely agonizing.

  • Won't fix it sadly

it would be 20 seconds with 4 people and 25 seconds with 3 (since 1 is in a chase.

7 gens means it would take 175 seconds to power the gates like this or almost 3 minutes.

By comparison right now the same methodology would take 166.65 seconds. Which is significantly faster than with this hypothetical change.

Remember, so long as there is no keys in play the only generator that matters is the last one. You shouldn't look at the time it takes to complete a single generator but the time it takes to complete all required Generators.

The REAL issue is that you end up with a stalemate at 1 gen, since it's impossible for the Survivors to break through the Killer just standing on the gen, and trap Killers could trap all 4 sides for a similar effect without even needing to stay there. It would be OP in the Killers favor.

Surge, Darksense, Rancor, tinkerer. All gen perks could use this buff, it would be difficult to impliment though seeing as you need to add 2 more gens in every map.

All these perks are pretty specific, they will not gonna be meta with 7 gens.

I want to see how Fire Up will work with 7 gens. Maybe, if devs will make 7 gens, this perk will be useful.

  • No, that would make it way harder to defend gens for the killer.

  • This change would´t change or fix anything actually.

  • No more gen time!. What about rework moris. You don't move and press M1 during 180 secs. and a survivor dies. So much fun.

  • Nope. I would prefer three gens with 150 seconds. xD

Jks aside, let's aim for a secondary objective, it will be better.

  • I'm guessing you would add additional gens with your suggestion? (not that I'm a fan of it)

As it stands, there's only 7 gens on a map, and the killer would literally just stand by that last gen and hold the game hostage if it came down to that

  • Adding more gens wouldn't help a killer get pressure.

They lose more time having to patrol the extra ones as this idea would mean 10 total gens on the map to patrol so you could end up giving survivors more free time to do them.
