Bonus Blood Point Perks
So it just hit me during a chase, that Distressing gives a huge malus on the Terror Radius. While Prove Thyself gives a buff to the repair speed. Both gives 100% bonus points.
How comes, that one gives a malus and the other one a bonus?

Not to mention all the "fun(ie hindering)" killer add-ons for more points.
Isn't necessarily a downside.
You could make the same argument with WGLF and BBQ, 'why does BBQ have an extra benefit whilst WGLF has nothing?'
@aspaznamedsteve because it rewards killers for going for a different target.
@Tzeentchling9 i never understood why survivors don´t have a similar option. Some addons that slow down gen progress or their abillity to hear the terror radius. In exchange for bonus points.
No Mither should give bonus points.
Distressing can confuse the survivors of your location.
It isn't necessarily a downside.
Also,Prove thyself gives you more bloodpoints in a specific situation, while Distressing is not situational.
Distressing combines well with Doctor, Unnerving Presence, Infectious Fright, etc.
Distressing wasn't created to have a downside. It's a bonus on some killers, play styles and in combination with certain perks and a hindrance to others.
@Redd @brokedownpalace it´s beneficial to 1 or 2 killers. But for the rest it´s not beneficial.
And multiple perks.
I would like a survivor perk that gives a downside and blood points like on No Mither although I want that simply because I use No Mither most the time so free bp
Nothing wrong with having niche perks.
Also, the evidence that Distressing's increased TR was created as a bonus is that its radius increased from tiers 1 to 3. If it was created as a downside in exchange for the bonus points then it would decrease from tiers 1 to 3.
Distressing's larger terror radius isn't a negative, it's a lateral step. It encourages the use of perks and killers with abilities contingent on terror radius.
WGLF needs a minor tweak, a secondary effect to get it in line with every other BP perk so it's not seen as a selfish waste, but it too only needs a lateral step rather than a buff
Distressing currently combos well with the following perks:
And the following killer powers:
The only two people will mostly care about though outside of this thread are Unnerving Presence and Carter's Spark.
I'm probably the only person in this thread crazy enough to try Distressing on Spirit.
Spoilers: It works but it's not at all worth it.
What about changing the moment when the points get aplied?
Bonus points should be awarded after the match. Not during the match.
Just like it´s with BBQ&WGLF
This would make it too easy for killers to do nothing but farm BP and let every survivor go so they keep a bad rank. I'd gain 12,000 more BP every game from Distressing and Beast of Prey alone on Doctor. And I wouldn't really have to earn it.
And you think killer queues are bad now? Oh boy would they start to suck.
Oh come on, Wraiths beast addon atleast allows for a fun meme build.
One might argue that until the doctor was released, distressing WAS just a bad bloodpoint perk that made it easier for survivors to see you coming.
@Redd but, for example a Wraith that uses Distressing + The Beast addon will max the Deviousness in 5 hits.
Shouldn´t those addons that gimp the killer, apply after the match? In order to benefit the killers points gain?
And why are the no survivor versions? Some addons, that increase the gained points in a certain area?
