New Chapter Concept: Five Nights At Freddie's - The Killer: "The Band" and Survivor: Michael Afton
The Band is a unique, macro-prediction team killer capable of splitting their physical presence across four distinct bodies simultaneously. By forcing a strict commitment to each body and introducing a high-risk "battery management" cycle, The Band weaponizes Terror Radius manipulation and psychological misdirection to completely fracture survivor situational awareness.🛠️ The Core Power: Stage Show! Four animatronics spawn across the map at the trial's start: Freddy Fazbear, Bonnie, Chica, and Foxy. The Player controls only one animatronic at a time. The remaining three stand completely inanimate in a rusted, dormant "Power Down" state.
- The Switch: Press the Active Ability button to look at and select a dormant animatronic. The player's camera cuts to black for a 1.5-second boot-up sequence (accompanied by whirring servos and glowing eyes) as control shifts to the new body.
- The System Lock: Once you swap into Bonnie, Chica, or Foxy, you are forced to remain in that body for at least 10 seconds before you are allowed to swap again. This prevents the power from being abused as a zero-risk security camera tracking system.
- The Freddy Tax & Battery Overload: Freddy Fazbear is the central anchor of the group. While actively controlled, Freddy possesses a massive 42-meter Terror Radius. To balance his presence, the player must power up Freddy at least once every fourth cycle.
- The Scaling Lockout: Freddy's forced commitment time scales by 10 seconds for every unique band member cycled before him:
- Cycle 1 (Immediate swap): 10-second forced commitment.
- Cycle 2 (One prior swap): 20-second forced commitment.
- Cycle 3 (Two prior swaps): 30-second forced commitment.
- Cycle 4 (Maximum Overload): 40-second forced commitment.
- The Dormant Radius (The Balance Polish): To ensure map-wide passive perk combinations (like Coulrophobia or Unnerving Presence) remain fair and tactical, Freddy's permanent Terror Radius scales back to 24 meters when he is dormant and not actively controlled. The other three animatronics emit a standard 32-meter Terror Radius only while actively possessed, (With Foxy having a 24 meter Terror Radius.)
- The Ghost Protocol: When you swap out of any body, that animatronic loses all physical collision after 30 seconds to entirely eliminate survivor body-blocking or hook-trapping exploits.
🎭 Individual Member Micro-Powers🐻 Freddy Fazbear: "Main Attraction"
- Passive Effect: Freddy maintains a global, permanent 42-meter Terror Radius while active (24-meters while dormant). This permanent audio footprint masks the location of active chases and acts as a constant psychological distraction across the trial map.
🐰 Bonnie: "Guitar Shred"
- Passive Effect: While controlling Bonnie, all survivors within his Terror Radius suffer a 10% action speed penalty to healing and repairing. When Bonnie powers down and enters his dormant state, this localized auditory debuff persists in that exact area for 60 seconds.
🐤 Chica: "Let’s Eat!"
- Active Power: Chica can launch Mr. Cupcake forward in a straight-line projectile attack. If it strikes a healthy survivor, they instantly become Injured. If it strikes an already injured survivor, it forces the Deep Wound status effect, instantly stopping their loop momentum to mend.
🦊 Foxy: "Now You See Me"
- Ambush Power: The exact moment Foxy boots up, he gains the Undetectable status effect and a 5% Haste movement speed bonus. Both stealth and speed buffs last for exactly 10 seconds, perfectly aligning with the mandatory system lock window for a lethal surprise attack.
1. Teachable Perk: System RebootYour mechanical resilience to interruption leaves survivors completely blind to your next directional mind games.
- The Effect: Whenever you are stunned by a Pallet or blinded by any means, System Reboot activates. You instantly gain the Undetectable status effect for the next 10/12/15 seconds.
- Performing a Basic Attack or Special Attack early will immediately cancel the Undetectable status effect.
- System Reboot has a cooldown of 45 seconds.
2. Teachable Perk: Stage FrightThe sudden, crushing realization of your presence paralyzes the faint-of-heart, causing them to panic and miss crucial inputs.
- The Effect: Whenever you gain the Undetectable status effect, or whenever you enter a Chase with a Survivor, Stage Fright activates.
- All Survivors currently repairing a Generator within your Terror Radius are instantly faced with a highly difficult Skill Check that rotates counter-clockwise.
- Failing this Skill Check causes the Generator to instantly explode, losing 3/4/5% current progress, and blocks the Generator from being repaired for the next 10 seconds.
3. Teachable Perk: Showtime! The closing act of the trial intensifies your psychological grip on the map, trapping survivors in a theater of pure paranoia.
- The Effect: Once the Exit Gates are powered, Showtime! activates for the remainder of the trial:
- Your Terror Radius is increased by 8/12/16 meters.
- All Survivors currently located within your Terror Radius suffer from the Oblivious status effect.
Map Profile: Freddy Fazbear’s Mega Pizza ComplexAn expansive, neon-soaked indoor labyrinth. This map combines the tight, room-to-room structure of Léry’s Memorial Institute with the modern, multi-layered verticality of a large-scale family entertainment center.🏢 Layout & ArchitectureThe Main AtriumThe center of the map is a massive, two-story open plaza featuring the central Show Stage and rows of dining tables. This area provides long lines of sight but offers very little safety, forcing survivors to brave the open floor to complete central objectives. The Peripheral WingsRadiating outward from the Atrium are dense, winding corridors leading to specific thematic zones:
- The Arcade: A multi-level zone filled with rows of neon game cabinets that break up lines of sight.
- The Party Rooms: A grid of small, interconnected rooms divided by breakable walls and privacy curtains.
- Maintenance Tunnels: A dark, industrial basement layer running beneath the complex, featuring tight choke points and exposed piping.
The Bottom Tier & Hallway VectorsThe ground floor features a distinct architectural layout connecting the secure back zones directly to the central hub. Flanking either side of the upper Security Room sector are two long, linear 15-meter corridors (East and West) that drop down into the bottom tier and lead directly into the open Atrium. Due to their length and narrow confines, these halls act as dangerous choke points during chases, offering zero high-wall tiles or safety structures. The Main Entrance (The Entry Doors)Positioned at the complete opposite end of the map from the Security Hallway Terminus is the Main Entrance. This area features grand, rusted glass double-doors, guest check-in counters, and turnstiles designed to replicate where normal public guests would enter the facility.🛠️ Unique Map MechanicsMaintenance Ductwork VentsTraditional wall-window vaults are largely replaced throughout the interior wings by a network of industrial floor vents.
- The Entry Lock (Extended Animation): Dropping to the floor and crawling into a vent takes longer than a standard window vault, adding an extra 15–20 frames of vulnerability. This extended duration gives killers a massive opportunity to land a physical strike or initiate a direct grab mid-transition if a survivor miscalculates their distance.
- Forced Linear Traversal: Once inside, the survivor enters a locked, linear crawl animation that propels them quickly to the exit on the opposite side of the structure.
- No Hiding Allowed: Survivors cannot stall their movement, turn around, or camp inside the ductwork. The system continuously forces the player forward until they exit the other side, preventing the vents from being used as indefinite hiding spots.
Environmental Controls: The Security RoomLocated on the upper tier overlooking the peripheral wings, the Security Room serves as a high-risk environmental control station that any player can interact with.
- The Control Panel: Pressing a console button instantly seals a heavy Security Door on either the East or West wing of the complex for 15 seconds.
- The System Cool Down: Once a security door is triggered, the panel suffers a system blowout, placing the console on a strict 3-minute reset timer before it can be used again.
- The Power Drain (Darkness Event): Locking a security door causes a massive localized power surge. The entire half of the complex where the door was closed instantly loses all lighting for 30 seconds. This plunges that sector into deep, shadow-heavy darkness, severely hindering navigation and line-of-sight for players utilizing standard, intended gamma settings.
⚙️ Fixed Generator & Objective SpawnsTo ensure balanced map pressure, two critical generators have permanent, static spawn locations every single match:
- The Atrium Stage Generator: Positioned directly on the main floor in front of the central Show Stage. This is a high-visibility, high-risk objective with zero nearby safety loops.
- The Security Corridor Generator: Located in the main hallway just outside the entrance to the Security Room (never spawning inside the room itself), forcing players to contest the high-ground choke point.
☠️ The Killer Basement SpawnsThe Basement has two potential spawn locations, placed symmetrically at opposite ends of the structure:
- The Stage Sub-Structure: Accessible via a dark service staircase tucked neatly behind the side entrance of the Main Show Stage.
- The Security Hall Terminus: Located at the dead-end of the primary maintenance hallway leading directly toward the Security Room sector, entirely opposite the Main Entrance doors.
💀 Ebony Memento Mori Mechanic: "The Husk"If this execution is performed using an Ultra Rare (Ebony) Memento Mori, the Spring Bonnie suit does not just remain a static prop on the ground. The Entity reanimates the corpse inside.
- The Possession: After the animation finishes, the Spring Bonnie suit joins your active radial menu as "The Husk."
- The Stats: The Husk functions as a basic, bare-bones puppet. It moves at a slower 4.4 m/s (110% movement speed), possesses a standard 32-meter Terror Radius, and has zero special powers, dashes, or projectiles. It can only perform a standard, basic M1 attack.
- The Strategy: Even without a power, adding a fifth body to your network gives you a permanent extra "shell" to body-block narrow loops, proxy-guard a cluster of generators, or swap into for an unexpected basic attack if a survivor runs too close to the corpse.
New Survivor Concept: Michael AftonA determined tech-specialist, Michael Afton utilizes careful observation, hidden movement under duress, and high-risk mechanical disruptions to outmaneuver threats.Developer Note: Launching alongside this Chapter is a Legendary Skin for Michael: Vanessa Shelly, changing his character model and voice lines to replicate the movie's security officer.🪚 Teachable Perks1. Surveillance StareMonitoring the threat provides a surge of adrenaline, allowing you to optimize your mechanical workflow once they drop their focus.
- The Effect: While within 24 meters of the Killer and maintaining direct Line of Sight (LoS), Surveillance Stare builds tokens at a rate of 1 Token per second, up to a maximum of 30/40/50 Tokens.
- Each Token increases your Repair and Healing speed by 1%.
- When you lose direct Line of Sight or leave the radius, the effect rolls back, losing 1 Token per second.
- Developer Note: This allows high-skill players to intentionally track the killer during a loop or proxy-positioning, then pivot directly to a generator with a massive, decaying speed advantage.
2. Night ShiftYears of enduring severe injury while evading mechanical predators have taught you how to move silently when bleeding out.
- The Effect: While you are in the Injured State, Night Shift activates:
- Your Scratch Marks disappear 35% faster than normal.
- Your Grunts of Pain are reduced by 30/40/50%.
- Developer Note: This perk is specifically tailored to disrupt the Killer's tracking capabilities in low-light environments, giving you an edge in dark corridor loops where visual blood pools are harder to trace.
3. Controlled ShockYou are willing to short-circuit your own vision to guarantee a high-speed break from a blinding confrontation.
- The Effect: Whenever you blind the Killer by any means (Flashlight, Flashbang, Firecracker, or Perk), Controlled Shock triggers:
- You are instantly afflicted with the Blindness status effect for 1 second (your screen flashes to a white-out static glare).
- You instantly gain a 2/3/5% Haste movement speed bonus for the next 5 seconds.
- Developer Note: While the Killer reels from a baseline 2.5-second blind, you take a temporary 1-second blind penalty to purchase a burst of absolute raw velocity, giving you maximum distance down long corridors.
