  • ya know…. not every killer is mean as you think… when i have access to my 4k's, if they DONT dc (whichi never slug unless the other person is already in sight) i actually backpack the person to the hatch…doesn't always happen, but i also play high MMR… lol

To be honest, i'd sayit the other way around… if someone DC before the natural match end, survivors should forfeit all earned bloodpoints (killers too.. so its not one sided)… because the DC's just cause its a killer you dont like,or you think its unfair, is unfair to the killer who possibly sat for over 5 minutes possibly 10 or more on a given day, waiting for a match… while survivors get instant queues.

  • I mean…. dont get me wrong… i'm not gunna tunnel on purpose… i hook, then basically run to the furthest gen from me, but if i hear / see the unhook behind me, i'll flip around.. but by that time, i've lost sight of the hook… from there, It's usually the first person who crosses my path, and from there, I might break pursuit, cause people expect the constant tunnelvision chase, and they sometimes dont expect a target swap, then i try and corral them into each other… a strategy i've gotten pretty good at over the years.. but from there… it's literally 'oh piece of candy' type of mentality… if you happen to keep crossing my path, and getting caught… thats on you as the survivor…. be better, don't blame me for your mess ups, ya know? lol

    I would absolutely love this.

He should have his own Survivor intro too, where he falls from the sky in a beam of light at the beginning of each trial. :P

    omg yes….

  • First of all.. you all are over thinking things… it's all about the fun… and when u bust your butt working on unlocking those perks, ya wanna use em… i know i do.. plus… the 2v8 is very survivor sided, if they play correctly.. not to mention, the killers. theres only 2 of them.. if each killer finds 1 survivor and chases them each, that leaves 6, to each work on seperate gens, thats 80% of the work being done at once, while the 2 loopers putz around with the killers, keeping their attention… depending on the situation… if we say for example, 4/8 survivors escape, thats a killer win imo… simply due to the balance of the game supposed to be a 2/4 survival rate in standard…. meanwhile… i get games where both me and the other killer are on the same level (iredescant) and we get a 8man kill, while others, get a 8man out… so to be honest, having the PERKS not addons… (while they would be nice, not neccessary…) would change the dynamic… even if they all had pan res, or OTR… even spine chill… doesn't matter… because it comes down to the actual skill of the players (as the current iteration of 2v8 has already proved)..

They actually de-complicated the game. Part of the skill as killer in 1v4 is keeping track of 4 survivors each with 4 perks, so 16 perks total, trying to learn each survivor's strengths and weaknesses and keeping track of their perks. There's no way for a person playing killer to do that with 8 survivors in the match. And two killers doubling up on perks or not being allowed to double up on perks also gets complicated with 4 perks each, and survivors trying to figure out what 8 perks the killers are running…

Not to mention survivors not knowing what perks their teammates are running, not knowing who to go to for heals, not running perks that help their teammates at all…

Trying to balance the mode around 8 killer perks and 32 survivor perks in each match would be hellish when they're still trying to balance for 4 killer perks and 16 survivor perks in 1v4.

As for this ^ nonsense…. i dont even bother knowing what survivor perks do.. other than things like Lithe… stuff that gives them a sprint burst, or seeing my aura… as most killers probably dont bother keeping track of any cooldowns or what people have… they just play…. so this point was moot

  • oh no i completely agree…. the survivors are either too scared to do gens unless they're completely out of the TR, or they just wanna derp around… like "ima healer, i wanna heal someone, but theres no one to heal, so ima just follow you around" lol…. personally… im terribad at skillchecks so i dont even try to play survivor lol.

ive actually had quite a few games where a survivor gets tunneled, and the killers still wipe the floor with us. your experience isnt the only one that matters, and people aren't sweaty losers for giving their genuine feedback about the mode...the devs need to hear this feedback so when 2v8 comes back again, they can make improvements and changes

As a killer main, (I'm actually writing this while waiting for my next match lol). It's not on the killers to escape… its on the survivors.. They need to be able to complete the gens, just like normal.. if one person can keep the killers attentions, then the rest have a job to do, while that person does their job. no matter what…. atleast 1 gen should always be getting worked on, theres 12 of em ffs lol… The game mode is actually balanced, when survivors are focused and get their work done properly, theres nothing stopping them from all escaping in less than 5 minutes of the trial starting.

    Happy Hunting.

  • i actually think the 'send to cage' is better than a standard hook in a location in my opinion…. as it makes the killer not know where the survivor gets hooked unless he stumbles across him… its literally pyramid cage of torment.. which has always been one of my fave things to do, vs pick up and hook.. more-so because it adds that element of uncertainty and fairness.. that way the killer cant just camp the hook, unless he stumbless across it.. as for the pinch maneuvers… it'd be nice to see a 'dead hard' style skill for the survivors to counter that, but atm, they're still ironing out the kinks… this is more 'open testing' than real. thats why it seems so unbalanced…..

Personally… I'd like to see 2v8 standard, with perks and addons, and all that jazz, instead of how it's currently set up with classes and forced skills. I think that'd be really fun

  • I would kill to play as Big Daddy…… since people already call me that… that'd literally be 'my character' lol…. atm Chucky is my jam.. but bruh….. OR if anything….. .atleast gimmie a big daddy little sister twins skin~! lol

  • Maybe…. but at the same time… it gives the notice so the killers know where to look… i know having my traps snapped has helped many times.

  • @Neaxolotl said:

Ultimately "just disable traps" still exists

which gives a loud noise notification, and takes up 5 seconds of survivor time… lol locate and destroy… bwuahaha and with 2 killers running around, thats more eyes to notice when stuff happens..

    @Krazzik said:

It depends, bad survivors who don't look where they're going, even after stepping into multiple traps (like me) means an easy win for Trapper. Semi-decent survivors who actually do use their eyes and even occasionally disarm traps means he's not very good.

This is true…. but even solo as trapper, i've been pretty nasty… so this is just a partner to work with my traps… :D

  • So…… I've been playin the 2v8 mode all day….. and tbh, its fun… and Trapper doesn't really need 'help' persay… cause i've been using trapper near exclusively after testing the others.. simply put, the 2v8 mode makes the trapper much stronger, since he has a partner to apply the early pressure which allows him to get set up a bit easier… this also allows more than 1 killer to push survivors into traps, as well as stalls the game a touch longer, because the survivors have more things to interact with than just the gens and killers…. They either get caught in the trap, spend their time disarming it, or have to avoid them.. which adds those precious seconds to the gameplay for the killers.. my USUAL strategy as trapper when i play solo comes into a much stronger gameplay here, since I normally put my traps under windows, vault locations, or just beyond pallets… to counter act the jungle gym effect.. AND it allows the 2nd killer to apply the pressure WITh the assistance of the traps later in the game, for weaker killers like wraith or nurse, who can't really chase as easily, this helps a lot…. not to mention if billy runs down a chainsaw, and the survivor ducks into a wall, ding, trapped….. when applied properly, the trapper is probably the strongest killer in 2v8… in my opinion…. and i ONLY play killer… OH and not to mention…. i only solo que, cause i haz no frens… so i take it out on those who do, bwuahahah
