Windows of Opportunity with these awful maps and their pallets feels terrible to play as Killer.

Your maps already have 50 pallets everywhere, on maps like The Game it is such a complete chore to play thanks to this perk.

Either stop spamming pallets everywhere or lower the range to 16 meters, it feels ridiculous that Survivors can see half of the map and its 50 pallets 24/7.

  • Nerfing WoO won't fix the map issues what are you talking about, the problem are the maps that are extremely safe for survivors, not the perk

  • I made a bunch of posts in 2022/early 2023 about WoO becoming problematic/being more than a learning tool as it started to carry me a lot in Solo Queue.

    IE - https://forums.bhvr.com/dead-by-daylight/discussion/359138/windows-meta-warning-otz-video-warning-reeeeeeeeee#latest

The time to address it is long gone, however - Adding a cooldown (except a crazy lengthy one) is irrelevant as most people will be able to retain the information until the perk 'flashes on' again.

My experience as killer is not this because I'm good enough to know to completely ignore these kinds of chases and the accompanying flashlight clicks that come with them.

Leave it alone bub. They aren't trying to hear your side. They are just trying to defend theirs. You are literally talking to a brick wall because you have spoken clearly and yet their response is "why are you complaining?" when it's very clear. Let them be dumb.

  • I love that we have nerfed all other survivor perks to the point where killers have to complain about windows lol

  • you could nerf windows but something would need to be done about the massive learning curve of maps. Killer can load into a game full of bots and learn the layout of of each map but survivors can't. Learning pallet spawns in a real match can be difficult as u trying to focus on other things. Give survivors a way to practice too! everybody don't have friends to play custom matches with.

WoO isn’t the problem. Bad map design is. Can we please not nerf viable solo queue perks just because of a whole separate issue that WoO enhances a tiny bit?

    Bingo!

  • It's a great perk until that Nea decides to use it to burn through half the pallets in their first chase, creating dead zones early in the game that help snowball things in the killer favour later. It can be a perk that helps killers at times. Knowing where pallets are means nothing without good game sense.

Yes but I was stating that we can't forget about what the weak killers have to deal with just because there are stronger killers that could have been picked instead.

Weak should not mean unplayable or basically agreeing to an auto-lose due to how the games current state is. Therefore both stronger and weaker killers should be able to exist in the game, without the weaker killers being an almost auto-lose if you pick them.

I see where your coming from and agree wholeheartedly, BHVR does need to do something about the current state, but for now I'd say weak killers aren't completely unplayable, it more just depends on skill level with that killer, which makes a 4K way more satisfying
