Hag Thread

Rank: A+

Strengths:

-Map pressure

-Map presence

- Strong hook game (Hook defense, proxy camp etc)

- Smaller terror radius than normal

- Small (Harder to see coming depending on what custom)

- High comeback ability

- 4 vs 1 killer ie she's a killier that focuses on multiple survivors as opposed to being a 1 vs 1 killer like Clown

- Great momentum shift ability

- Build flexability

- Great green add-ons

- Body Block Hag got buffed

Weaknesses:

- Slow moving/mobility

- Super coordinated 4 man swf

- Strong flashlights on multiple survivors

- Urban Evasion

- Assurance

- Saboteur builds (strong wasting her time/stalling ability)

Got a 4k with Undying/Devour Hope/Haunted Grounds/Retribution at Dead Dawn. They rushed the gens to the final one but by that time i had already had 5 stacks of Devour and it was gg!

A prior Hag game i had was with Body Block Hag. No Way Out/Blood Warden/Remember Me/Hex: No one Escapes Death! 3K and it was a near slaughter. People are generally bad at going against normal Hag and i could tell body block was throwing them off because they dont go against it! Understood!

I'd put her top 8 or 9 for sure! She loses early game but picks up late and can heavily shift momentum at any moment. Great killer!

  • MYC and Franklin's are good choices for Hag but not necessary to win with her.

  • Nurses, pretty ok on Hag but feel you need to use another perk slot to get value out of it with Sloppy Butcher otherwise on its own its just ok but not worth running over Corrupt if your competitive and trying to win.

  • Have you tried starstruck/agitation build? As a Nurse main I prefer to use Starstruck on Hag, it's super fun esp with Agi, because the survivors will be super scared to even move knowing they are exposed and I can pop up any moment and down them instatly.

It's the build I have gotten most dcs on lmao

I have tried an exposed Hag build i didn't like it and i didn't do well with it. Iron Maiden/Dragons Grip/MYC/Starstruck. I would never use Agitation and for a few reasons.

Sloppy Butcher/Clauraphobia/Unnerving Presence/Distressing gives me much more value. Distressing Hag!

  • She gets held back by SWF. It's just not fair to lose your entire mine field of traps from picking up 1 person.

  • hag is decent

I just can't stand playing her especially if you get smart people who will blow up all your traps mid carrying someone which is a smart strategy

Hag doesn't work that way. Your suppose to slug with Hag! If a survivor is hooked and another survivor gets grabbed off a unhook attempt that survivor is to be thrown down immediately or if they get basic attacked and downed you leave them grounded.

This is a great strength of Hag's because she penalizes poor play and or bad decisions.

Hag is all about momentum breaking and shifting!

lol you guys don't know how to use Hag at all! Refer to the post above! Hag slugs, that's how she wins, any other way and you really don't want to win with Hag and you should try another killer because shes not for you unless you understand her snd her better with her. Trust me shes one of my mains! )

So you don't hook at all with Hag? Why then has she never been bombarded with slugging/bleeding out complaints like Twins has?

Never said that! Go back and read what i said and to i was responding to and why...

The poster said Hag gets punished by picking up survivors while another one "is on the hook" See that?

And "i" said you shouldn't be picking up survivors when someone is hooked because that's not smart or optimal and you need to learn Hag's strengths otherwise your just super casual with her and not competitive or you don't want to win. Situations my friend, situations! Read the whole thread next time.

It's only worth slugging when someone else on hook when the slugged person is near the hook, and this applies to all killers including Hag. Hooking doesn't do much for you, I'll admit, but the more you get the more survivors will be closer to dying and feel pressured.

Nope. She only slugs when other killers would. She's not a precursor to Oni or Twins, because from the time she came out until now, nobody played her that way. She's only able to slug at the very end when survivors make a bunch of mistakes trying to be altruistic. If they don't, you don't get to slug. If you try and slug and they pick themselves up, you'll never get the chance again because then they'll be cautious about it the rest of the match. This applies to all killers, especially Hag.

  • I think the most difficult part I had with learning hag was map awareness/zoning. Her traps get the most value by directing survivors to trapped areas from a specific direction. With the proper attention and planning, you can make some of the buildings on the preschool maps advantageous (which for most killers are a time sink when chasing survivors).

I highly recommend Save the Best for Last in any build. It can be very cozy for easy hits when teleporting. Plus it synergizes with Starstruck due to her power (faster downs at the cost of slower stacks, but that can make it take longer for survivors to notice). My base build on her is STBFL, Starstruck, Coup de Gras, Jolt/Surge. She's fun to make builds for, even if the build is a bust.

I disagree with the idea you are supposed to slug with hag as some rule of thumb. Slugging is a method available to all killers, which depending on the killer's power and the situation, becomes more or less viable (also depending on how sweaty you wanna get). I think hag has more to lose from hooking sometimes, since you can loose a lot of pressure if you placed your traps well and a survivor destroys them while you are carrying a survivor. If that's happening, the best pressure is to slug in response. So she has situations where slugging can be more beneficial, but slugging is not something you're supposed to do because of the killer you are playing. It is something you do because of the situation you are in.

I don't base my playstyle with my girl Hagatha around slugging because it is not what I'm "supposed" to do or the proper way to play her. I prefer pressuring survivors to loop in a way that benefits me, and getting downs+hooks that way. Every killer has plenty of ways to succeed. Choosing to not focus on slugging does not mean people are playing her wrong. They just aren't playing her like you.

You did not understand what i said..i never said you are suppose to focus on slugging but if the situation occurs which it dies with Hag then any other killer "in that situation" described earlier you have to slug!

This is not complicated at all and you guys ate making this bigger than it actually is.

The problem we all have is that what you said is misleading. You specifically said "Your suppose to slug with Hag!" in the post I was responding to. What me and others have been pointing out is that hag has nothing to do with that play style being beneficial. Any killer benefits from slugging if they see a survivor after downing someone. Hag has a bit more of a potential benefit from it die to how her traps can be destroyed, but hag should not be the subject of that sentence. It makes sense to say "killers" since that is just something killers should do. Hag is a killer, but--to reiterate--it's not because of any specific killer that slugging is a good idea if you grab a survivor of an unhook.

Our problem is that you specifically say it is something That should do, rather than something killer should do. Saying Hag makes it seem more exclusive than it actually is.

  • For body block Hag:

I always run Waterlogged Shoe with Scarred Hand. In addition Play with Your Food & Monitor & Abuse is really good with these add-ons as you gain tremendous speed which makes a big impact with the 16 meter terror radius. STBFL is another perk that I feel is a must-use and for my 4th perk I either run Blood Favor or Corrupt Intervention.

Last post regarding this because this is dumb, you guys are arguing with me for absolutely no reason and its because you overlooked what i said and dont wither understand or comprehend so for the last time...

I was talking about "a situation" or situations where slugging is beneficial and a must in order to win "in those situations! Im not talking about so called playstyles.

If one is hooked, the other tries to get an unhook but is grabbed off. Immediately you throw him down especially if the hooked person is or is approaching second stage of hook. Slugging in " these" situations is not only beneficial, its smart!

This is why i said "Hag slugs to win" because someone brought up that by picking a survivor up all her traps will get set off and "this" was when i said what i said regarding slugging. So you "didnt" pay attention to what was fully being said, its ok though moving on!

I told people that Body Block Hag got buffed but it was shot down with a "its a gimmic" lol People i swear...like killers cant win with gimmic or non meta builds, its funny and crazy how people think which is rigid!

I usually do Sacarred Hand/Waterlogged Shoe (Body Block) with No Way Out/Blood Warden/and either Remember Me or Save the Best for Last/ Hex: No one Escapes Death.
