Here is some feedback: the green glyph rifts are a pain.
Can't find them during the game.
Never appears during the EGC (they used to)
Don't appear while hooking someone, even with BBQ like some glyphs do.
Ormond, the swamps ... on many maps I got nothing.
Then I'm on the temple map and I found 5.
It makes very little sense.
Comments
If only totems were this hard to find.
The green glyphs and the "Blood Dept" one are definitely the WORST challenges and yet they keep putting them in every tome...
So probably... they're stealing your glyphs (allies or killer), since in the EGC only the ones that are still on the map appear.
it's absurd how difficult glyphs in general are to find... I played like 5 games today, managed to find a single glyph...
That's probably why when I've exterminated half o the survivors fast, the map was full of glyphs.
Given the comment of @randonly, going for an early four slug is probably the way to succeed.
Other players can find your Glyph, you are simply slow.
It's complete bs that other players can get your glyphs. The glyphs should work like literally every other glyph where it spawns 2 for each player and only that player can interact with them
Agreed. At least it explains why going hard allowed me to get multiple glyps on a single map.
did that for a match, and there were 0 glyphs in the map :)
miserable experience for everyone
T_T
You need to hook at least 2 times as a killer for them to appear on the map (slug from the start of the game will not make them appear) . As survivor, make at least 2 generators.
Well, that's news to me. I don't think that bit was being specified by the game.
This bit should probably be shared with everyone.
That is just plain wrong. I've spent entire games doing literally nothing but running around the map as wraith and found glyphs when I had 0 hooks and no gens were done
@MandyTalk herself said that they don't appear from the start, you need to complete certain objectives, and from what everyone shares in experiences, that's basically what I said if you're a survivor or a killer.
but I've literally found them right at the start. I spawned in, checked a totem spot and one was there. Nothing had happened so far in the game and I already had glyph. This has happened multiple times. Should I report it as a bug?
honestly I don't know, maybe?
But I'll quote just for you to see
Good to have other people sharing experiences. But I know it's guaranteed to be 2 on each side (gen/hooks) in the two times I did this quest.
From my experience so far: Some seem to spawn right at the beginning. Some spawn later on. I think the most glyphs I've gotten during a trial was six. - There were glyphs in spots later on that have definitely not been there before (e.g. passing the same spot; one time early in the game without the glyph sound, sometime later in the match with the glyph sound).
My assumption: Two glyphs spawn at the beginning. After x match progress (as measured by the points system or as a per gen/hook kinda thing) an additional glyph spawns up to a total of six.
That being said, if you still can't find all glyphs: atm many people have the glyph challenge active. All glyphs can be seen and claimed by all players who have the challenge active. Many glyphs simly get claimed by someone else before you found them (some people call it "stealing" - but it'd only be stealing if everyone regardless of whether or not they have the challenge can see and claim the glyphs - and people who don't have it active do so).
In summary, glyphs need a rework
That is because they switch places after some time (like the anniversary crowns). I had one appear behind me while I was opening a chest on a hill.
So you could just have missed them.
