Nurse add ons are broken?

I feel like nurse can blink super fast now with certain add ons. Is this intended?

If this is not intended, these add ons need to be kill-switched.

  • Yes the range addons are broken. There is a bug report on it here which has been acknowledged:

I think I dont have to introduce Zubat, a popular dbd content creator with huge nurse experience from the very beginning.

He noticed immidiately that Nurse is not the same she was before.

If not fully charged her range add-ons make her blinks extremely fast.

I suppose the percentage of additional range given also applies to her blink speed.

You can watch Zubat's explanation and a comparison in his stream. For example starting at 3:35:00.

The add ons are still not killswitched, apparently a bug report isn’t enough to remind bhvr about that.

Because the killswitch is for gamebreaking bugs, and while that is a major bug, it’s not gamebreaking. It doesn’t do things like literally crash the game or give 100% permanent aura vision the entire game against any killer. This is specifically Nurse only with specific add-ons only.

  • Killswitch is there for extreme circumstances only, it's not something that's to be used randomly. Wake Up for example was crashing games completely and therefore needed to be switched off. This is a Live game, bugs are going to happen...not all of them are going to be considered as game breaking or warrant switching off.

  • This is not a bug, it's how they are coded to work and the recent fix also fixed them. That their fixed version might be overperforming is a completely different thing.

Also, Mandy, the missing charge time might be a bug, but that wasn't what was discussed in the bug report thread you closed.

They are bugged, the charge time is not being added. Hence we have an acknowledged bug report.

Ah i thought the blink speed time itself was what people were complaining about. "She moves to fast with blinking" but i thought a blink should always take at max 1.5 seconds. Before her recoding some blinks could take over 2 seconds. Which i don't know if that was a bug that was fixed (im assuming so). Since nurse has to travel more distance with both range addons and still stay within the 1.5 second threshold.

As a nurse main, i think they still should be killswitched, even tho its not gamebreaking.

  • its completely unfun, ran into a nurse with those addons last night the whole team got slaughtered.its ######### stupid that you wont disable those addons

Why has Haddonfield been kill switched though? Did they deem the level design as unacceptable?

    They’re reworking it.

Yeah but the other maps didn't need to be disabled until they got reworked.

Yeah but no map has quite the amount of dread attached to it like Haddonfeld.

I believe the killswitch is there so nobody can spam Strode keys till it's reworked.

    Then why is haddonfield killswitched?

Yeah but the point is, nurses add ons are not getting killswitched, but haddonfield does. A whole map gets disabled, but not some add ons.

The addons don't crash the game and tbh if a Nurse runs double range then people are doomed anyways.

Object of obsession didn’t crash games too but it got killswitched. So why not nurses add ons?

    It did.

If you used Aura perks that reveal your aura to others they crashed.

    Alright then.

But honestly, not a fan of this kill switch mentality.

Personally, I think that more things should be killswitched and not only when they are gamebreaking. The Nurse Add Ons are one example, it becomes very, very hard to play against a Nurse with bugged Range Add Ons, way harder than usual. Another example would have been Badham, the Map is a lot more difficult for Killer if the Doors (at least the one closer to the Fence-Window) are open.

So if one side has a big advantage due to something bugged, it should be killswitched. This would increase the number of killswitched things, but I dont think it would be too much to a point that some things are not playable anymore (e.g. even with Badham killswitched, more than enough Maps to play on, even if Range Add Ons are killswitched, Nurse has other good Add Ons and works totally fine without Add Ons).

It met the internal definition for game breaking. So far, Nurse's Addons have not.
